Promo Tour: Lost For You by BJ Harvey

Lost For You by BJ Harvey (Lost #2)
Expected release: July 23, 2013

What would you do if you were told that everything you had ever believed in and everything you had ever known, was a lie?

Elle’s life is altered forever after an unexpected phone call and an unwelcome visitor. Trying to put her life back together, Brax’s last words continue to echo through her mind. Why she is being followed and why is she suddenly in danger? The fact that Brax knew about it all and still left her alone, breaks her fragile heart all over again.

Brax will never forgive himself for leaving Elle at a time when she needed him the most, even if he believed it was the only way to protect her. As he makes his way back to her life, he is determined to win her back, regain her trust and help rebuild her for the second time. His return proves he is the same man, yet Elle sees in his eyes a haunted look she knows all too well.

When a confession leaves Elle reeling, her entire life unravels around her. She begins to understand that the people she trusts the most have put her in grave danger and the people who have been protecting her actually want to cause her harm.

Elle soon discovers that the old adage is true, you have to become lost before you can be found.

Shay“And how about you?” he asks, quirking an eyebrow. “It’s not like your life was easy after-”
I see where he’s going now. “Gonna have to shut you down there, bro. I don’t talk about it.”
He sighs loudly. “If there is one thing I learned inside, Shay, it’s that you have to face the demons to find even the smallest amount of peace in your life.”
Who is this man, and what has it done with the asshole that used to be Devon Michael Evans?
“Yeah. Well, don’t think I’ll ever find peace with that until I’m six feet under.”
“I had an awesome counselor inside. He helped me deal with my mom’s suicide, and with how my father betrayed both of us. The one thing he told me that has stuck with me is a quote from Buddha. ‘Peace comes from within. Do not seek it without’.”
“Motherfucker. Prison has turned Devon into a believer,” I spit out in shock. Who would have thought that he could go inside and come out three years later a changed man without a chip on his shoulder.
“Ha ha. Smart ass. You’re a funny fuck, you know that? No, I’m not a born again. I just realized that holding onto stuff from your past will tear you apart. It’s the reason I took my mother’s name instead of Evans when I got out.”
I nod in agreement. “I noticed that.”
“It’s not a bad thing to put some distance from that man after what he did,” he murmurs before leaning over and turning the radio up. “Love this song.”
Subject obviously closed.

Things to Kno

Having always loved reading, and having been befriended and inspired by some awesome self published authors and book lovers alike, I decided to start writing my first novel, Lost in Distraction in December 2012. It was a conscious decision that started with a song, then the prologue and then catapulted from there. I love music too, like REALLY love music, if there isn't music playing, something is wrong. Out and Proud Vampire Diaries fan as well.

I'm also a wife, mother, full-time university student and I do contract work for myself from home.

Blog Tour: Forever Breathing by Heather Allen

Welcome to our stop on the Forever Breathing blog tour.

Ever Harding has finally found where she belongs, with Jack in the sea. Just when she thought she could start her new life, a new threat forms on the horizon. She must make her biggest choice yet. Is she willing to risk everything to save the love of her life and all she holds dear?

James discovers yet again that his purpose is greater than anything he could ever imagine. He thought he had it all figured out, but sometimes things can be very deceiving. Is he willing to stand up for all he believes is right?

In the final book of the ‘Just Breath’ trilogy,
Ever

The change in Alex was instant. As soon as I saw his face after that kiss, I knew I had him. Knowing I am hurting him without his knowledge, kills me but I soldier on. Jack and the freedom to choose are my priorities and they will remain. We all make our choices and Alex made his by coming here. I have to keep reminding myself of that.

He was reluctant to take me to see this Roman guy, but I insisted. I need to get it over with.

We stop in front of a stained glass door. The glass depicts various scenes of mer-people clad in silver and gold armor fighting. It reminds me of the battle we just had back home. It’s forever cemented in my brain. I wouldn’t need anything to remind me, maybe something to help me forget. Alex pushes on the doors and they open easily into a room with a marble floor and black walls. This castle or wherever we are, is quite different than anything I’ve ever seen. It reminds me of art deco style. The one thing I do notice though as I glance forward are three intricately carved golden thrones centered on a raised platform. Unfortunately, the one person I never want to see again is seated right in the middle with a smug look, Metea. If I never saw her again it would be too soon. My confidence takes a nose dive. I wish for the tingle to come or better yet, maybe I can abort the mission and travel back home. I close my eyes for a second, unsure of, what I should do.

Alex brings me back though. He grabs my hand, squeezes, and leans over whispering into my ear, “It’s okay, I’m here.”

It works momentarily and I gather some wits, opening my eyes. Alex always helped to boost my confidence. I glance over and he smiles. It reminds me of the first time I laid eyes on this witch, seated in front of us. I square my shoulders, refusing to let her get the best of me again.

As we approach, there is movement behind the chairs and a very large mer-man with a gruff face and a squared jaw swims out. He is discussing something with a smaller man who seems to be taking mental notes. We stop ten feet from the thrones and he looks up as we do. My confidence falters again when my eyes meet his.

I lean over to Alex and whisper, “Is that…”

Before he can utter a word, the mer-man speaks up and meets my eyes, “Yes, It is, I am Jaspen’s brother. And you, you are his granddaughter. To what, do we owe the honor of a second Harding visitor within the same day?”

I am flabbergasted. Jaspen’s brother. There is more to this whole thing than I had originally thought. I wonder if Jaspen already knows who is behind all of this. Oh wow, how are we all going to come out of this in one piece?

His raspy voice interrupts my thoughts, “Why are you here?”

I look over to Alex for help. Suddenly I can’t find any words. Some actress I am. I haven’t even been here an hour and I’m already giving myself up.

Blog Tour: This Time Around by Ellie Grace

Welcome to our stop on the blog tour for This Time Around by Ellie Grace.  This is an absolutely gorgeous story about a second chance at love.

Title: This Time Around
Author: Ellie Grace
Release date: July 15, 2013
Age Group: New Adult
Genre: Contemporary romance
Tour organized by: AToMR Tours

Nora Montgomery left home and heartbreak behind in South Carolina when she moved to New York City after her high school graduation. Now, four years later, she returns home and is forced to confront the past she left behind and the reckless boy who broke her heart.  It’s not long before the pieces of her past begin to blur with the present and she realizes that the feelings she had for her first love never really went away. As old dreams resurface and new truths come to light, she begins to question the future she's always planned on.
Jake Harris has spent four years regretting the night he let her get away. When she finally reappears in his life, he is determined to win her back and prove how much he’s changed. She might never forgive him for that night, but if he tells her the truth about what really happened it will shatter the world she thought she knew.  If he doesn’t, he might not get a second chance. He’s already lost her once and he won’t lose her again.

They come from two different worlds that are threatening to tear them apart…can they make it this time around?

If you're looking for a sweet, uncomplicated love story then This Time Around is a perfect choice.
The book tells the story of Nora and Jake, high school sweethearts who broke up just before Nora left to got to college.  For four years the two lived their lives apart, but never really recovered from the break up or moved on from their feelings for each other.  As best friends Susie and Ethan are set to wed, Nora returns to her hometown of Beaufort and must prepare herself for seeing Jake again for the first time in four years.  What follows is a beautiful story about finding love that both Nora and Jake had thought lost and discovering the courage to follow dreams that really matter.
Nora is a bright young woman, talented song writer and singer and four years into her law degree.  With a loving family and a father who has very high expectations, Nora has never seriously considered a future other than becoming a lawyer in her fathers firm - apart from a brief time when she was re-evaluating her plans to go to college which would take her away from Jake.  But the break up shook those thoughts from her mind and she followed the path expected of her.
Jake on the other hand is a bit of a rough diamond, who has not been able to shake his reputation as a 'bad kid'.  The break up with Nora hit him hard and he had a rough patch for a while, but managed to pull himself together and finish a degree in architecture.  Working for his father's construction company he is exploring options to pursue his career, but is clearly not complete.
As the two re-connect their feelings are still evident and they must work through issues associated with their break up so they can build a future together.  This presents more of a challenge for Nora than Jake as she struggles with meeting her father's expectations and doing what she wants to do.  Unlike many books, there is a not mountain of drama in this story.  It is a very realistic scenario that plays out and it is written well.  This approach was a refreshing change for me and I really enjoyed reading This Time Around as a consequence.
Written from both Nora and Jake's point of view we get to see things from each perspective.  I've said before that I am a big fan of this style as it always helps me to connect with both characters.  This Time Around is a short, sweet read that left me feeling good at the end of it.  I think it is definitely worth picking up.

Blog Tour: Twinsequences by Jennifer Foor

Welcome to our stop on the Twinsequences blog tour!

I’d shared everything with Ivy since we were born. She was my exact double. We were only two minutes apart. I never thought that my own twin sister would steal away my one chance at happiness, but that is exactly what she’d done. She didn’t even know that I was in love with him. How could she? Ivy was too busy being Miss Popular to notice what I wanted.

After having my heart broken, I’d decided to leave my town, and my sister, to go to college out of state. For the past four years, I’d done nothing but work to make a life for myself. We were still the best of friends, but going home was too hard for me to face and I hadn’t been back since they’d gotten married.

I wanted my sister to be happy, even if it meant I never would be. She didn’t have the brains, or the successful future that I knew was coming to me.
But, she’d always have the one thing I wanted.
The one thing, I could never have.
Stoshua Wheeler.

A late night phone call brought me back to town. I should have never considered her request. It wasn’t right to pretend to be her, but she said she was in trouble. I had to help her.

I’d dreamed of being her for five years. I envied their relationship. I wanted her life.

What was I willing to risk to take it for myself?

I’m Willow Green and this is my story...

After a while, we held hands and walked out onto the football field. Well, we almost made it on the field. Stosh pressed me between the concession stand, and his body, for a hot kiss that left me weak in the knees. When he pulled away I was breathless and craving more. I grabbed his shirt and pulled him down to my lips for another one, this time I didn’t let our lips part. Our tongues vigorously danced, just as we had done in the parking lot. His hands explored my body, like no other man on the planet could. When he reached my breasts and guided his fingertips under my bra, I knew what was going to happen. The moment he touched my hardened nipples, I was his for the taking.

Jennifer has done some casting for Ivy, Willow and Stoshua and we think they're an excellent choice:

Imagine losing the love of your life before you ever got to tell them how you felt.  Imagine discovering a betrayal of proportions you never thought possible.  Imagine finding out it was all at the hands of the one person you thought you knew better than anyone in the world – your twin sister.  Pretty intense stuff hey?  And that’s not the half of it!!
Twinsequences by Jennifer Foor is an intense, drama filled story.  Willow and Ivy Green are identical twin sisters – but they couldn’t be more different in personality.  Willow is the studious introvert, while Ivy is the outgoing, party girl.  On more than one occasion Willow steps in to help her sister out when she is in a bind – and really, Willow doesn’t mind, she’d do anything for her sister ... even pretend to be her without really understanding why.  But maybe Willow’s motives go beyond helping her sister, maybe the temptation to be near the man she loves is just too much, even for her?
I really enjoyed Twinsequences.  Just when I thought things couldn’t possibly get more complicated and twisted, they would.  I simply could not put it down, glued to my kindle, dying to find out exactly how it was going to end.  Ivy is one sick and twisted individual, so there is a stack of psychological game playing and you can’t always tell who is in on it.  There is also a stack of steamy sex scenes, so it’s not one for the faint hearted.

In all honesty I suspect this book is not going to be for everyone – the extreme nature of the drama is unrealistic, but if you’re a fan of soap opera type sagas, then it will definitely entertain you.  I found myself chuckling at some of the bizarre scenes (that actually weren’t supposed to be funny) because they were so extreme, but it all added to my enjoyment.  There were some issues with the editing that I found a little frustrating which is why it didn’t get four stars from me.  But all in all, there was enough in the story to hook me and keep me turning pages.  The ending was never guaranteed and the twists and turns along the way made for some entertaining reading.
3.5 out of 5 stars

Blog Tour: Indelible by Bethany Lopez

Bethany Lopez has released some wonderful YA novels.   Indelible sees her venturing into the NA category and it sounds like an awesome read!!

Title: Indelible
Author: Bethany LopezRelease date: July 15, 2013Age Group: New AdultGenre: Contemporary RomanceTour organized by: AToMR Tours

After a year of partying, Samantha decides to buckle down and focus on college. Things are going great until a one-night stand leaves her pregnant and alone. Raising a child while going to school isn’t easy, but Sam is determined to be strong for her daughter. She doesn’t have time for guys or relationships, and takes great care to protect her child and her heart.

Judd doesn’t fit the mold of a college ballplayer. His long hair and tattoos may fit the life he’s created for himself, but baseball is the one thing he takes seriously. When he meets Sam, he’s immediately drawn to her curves and refusal to put up with his crap. When Judd learns the truth, can he handle the responsibility that comes with loving a single mother?

Sam yearns for the fire that Judd fuels in her, but her child’s needs have to come first. Can two people at different stages in their life find a way to make a life together?

“Ready?”
“I guess,” he responded, causing heat to rush through me at his gaze.
I cleared my throat and stood, tugging his hand a bit to get him to stand up as well.
We walked out and he asked, “Do you want me to give you a ride back to the restaurant or to your house?”
“Just the restaurant,” I responded, and I thought I noticed his face fall a bit. I knew he must be confused by how secretive I was being, but I was in no way ready to discuss Karrie with him.
The last time I’d told a date about her, the response had been less than favorable. He seemed to think the fact that I had a kid made me damaged goods or something. Maybe it was just too much for him to handle. I mean, it’s not like I’m looking for a husband, or even a father for Karrie, but as soon as a guy heard I was a single mom he assumed that was the case.
I really liked Judd, and was afraid that he would react in the same way. For once, I’d like to be like a normal twenty-two year old, and just enjoy getting to know a man.

Bethany Lopez began self-publishing in June 2011. Since then she has published various YA and NA books. She is a lover of romance, family, and friends, and enjoys incorporating those things in what she writes. When she isn't reading or writing, she loves spending time with her husband and children, traveling whenever possible.

Spotlight Tour: Take Me Out by Danielle A. Elwood

Welcome to our stop on the Spotlight Tour for Take Me Out by Danielle A. Elwood.

Charlotte grew up in the Boston socialite spotlight.
Bentley grew up on the wrong side of the tracks.
One chance baseball game will change both of their lives forever.
Can their relationship stand the test of ex-lovers, arson, and Charlotte's parents?

“I think it is time we say goodnight,” I said with a frown as I got up off the black leather sectional and headed towards the door with Bentley.  I was a little light-headed, but I attributed that to the six pack of Sam Adams we split during the game.
“Thank you for such a wonderful evening, Charlie. I would love to see you again if you would like,” he said, staring at the tips of his shoes and ran his fingers through his hair. He appeared worried that I would run after our deep conversation. He looked unsure of himself, self-conscious, completely unlike his usual domineering attitude.
He held my hand on the way to the front door. At his touch, all rational thought left me. I needed him to have his lips on me. I was aching to feel more of him against more of me. What had gotten into me?
Once we reached our destination, he leaned down and planted a single soft kiss on my lips, just like he did that night at Fenway. His lips were so soft and the electricity between us was beyond belief. It left me wanting more. When he respectfully pulled away like most modest girls would hope for, I blurted out, “ That's it?”

What sparked your interest in becoming a romance writer?I am a complete romance novel junkie. I love everything about them, and for the longest time I found myself able to really call the twists and turns in a lot of books. I figured, why not give it a try? I love to write so just go for it!
What was the first romance novel you read that made an impression on you?HA!  Some may find it this completely cliché but it was Fifty Shades of Grey.  I think that book left a complete impression on everyone who read it. Good or bad.
Tell us 5 surprising things about yourself.1)    I am only 4' 10” tall.2)    I had three children in less than four years.3)    I have a ton of tattoos (one full sleeve, and then some)4)    I have an addiction to Sweet Tea I could never live without my childhood teddy bear. (Whom I still sleep with)
What is your writing environment.Anyplace that is quiet. It could be Starbucks, my living room, bedroom... I really adapt as long as I don't have children screaming in my ear.
One of your favorite quotesYour work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven't found it yet, keep looking. Don't settle. As with all matters of the heart, you'll know when you find it.   - Steve Jobs
Do you have a website recommendation for other writers?I haven't come across any great author resources, yet. But would love to see what others enjoy!
Who is your perfect hero? And why?Perfect Hero? That is such a hard question. I think I would say Maya Angelou since she is such an inspirational pioneer in writing.
Which authors have caught your interest lately? Why?Lately I am loving Toni Aleo. The entire Assassin's series is amazing. As a hockey lover, I just fell in love with all the storylines.
What type of book have you always wanted to write? An erotic novel. I don't know if I could bring myself to do it, but I hope to give it a try some day.
Who are your dream dinner party guests?Marilyn Monroe, Johnny Cash, and Martin Luther King Jr.  Oh, and my grandparents on my father's side of our family since I never got an opportunity to meet them.
What’s the last movie you watched and loved?Monsters University. I am such a sucker for Disney!
Most _____________ in high school. (popular, nerdy, sporty…) Why?Most likely to fail. I had a rough time when I was in high school, and often found myself on the outskirts of everyone.
Top three things on your bucket list.Travel to Europe, Get braces, and adopt.
How did you get the idea for this particular novel? Honestly, I was thinking about an amazing love story. Right after I finished one of the many I have read. I thought about the perfect meeting, and how I would want to be woo'ed.  While Take Me Out isn't a perfect love, it is one of the closest based to reality.
What is your favorite scene in your new release? I would have to say the scene where Bentley and Charlotte meet. It truly sets the tone for the entire novel.
If you could be one of your characters - Who would you be? And why?Jake!  He is certain of himself, plus I always want to slap Charlotte and Bentley around.

Blog Tour: Serendipity by Stacey Bentley

Serendipity is the latest release from Stacey Bentley.  Available now - it's worth grabbing yourself a copy!

The saying goes that there is a fine line between love and hate...but what happens when the line becomes blurred?
When life hands Phoebe Andrews her dream job, she’s ecstatic. That is, until she realizes that in order to pursue her dream she’ll have to give up her cosmopolitan lifestyle in Chicago and move to Nashville. As if leaving all she knows behind wasn’t enough, a car accident on her first day in town does nothing to convince the city girl that country living is all it’s cracked up to be.
As an only child, Dean Montgomery has obligations—obligations which have left him angry at the world. Just as his monotone life has begun to leave him jaded, he is brought back to earth with a bang...literally.
Fate conspires to bring the city girl and the country boy together, but can Dean stay out of trouble long enough for the pair to test the boundaries of their tempestuous relationship?

When Stacey isn't writing, she's a full-time mom, which means she's a cook, chauffeur, maid, nurse and constantly on the go. She was born and raised in a suburb of Detroit, Michigan which is where she resides today. Raising her children as a single parent has proven it's difficulties but she doesn't let that stop her from doing the things that make her happy. In her down time, which is rare, you can find her curled up with a book.

Blog Tour Stop: Lifeless by J.M. La Rocca

Welcome to our stop on the Lifeless Blog Tour!

Ages 18+ due to sexual content and language

After graduating from the University of South Alabama, Scarlett Moore discovers her boyfriend of five months is actually married with a child on the way. Feeling used and heartbroken, she decides it’s time to take her best friend Jules’ advice to move to Atlanta and live with her. There, Jules helps her get a job at Entertainment Atlanta, where she works as an entertainment insurance agent. It’s not Scarlett’s dream job, but it’s better than not having a job at all, and who wouldn’t mind working with famous people, right?
Then she gets assigned to EA’s newest client, Kade Evans, rock star turned actor. Not only is he a drug addict, he’s also known for never dating the same girl twice. He’s tall, dark, and handsome, has an amazing voice, and good acting skills, but he’s also arrogant and intense.
At their first meeting, the chemistry between them is undeniable.
The love that comes later is unexpected.
But Kade’s life is full of secrets. His past has now intruded on his present and when Scarlett finds out what his secrets are, the real deception begins.

I've had a passion for reading and writing for as long as I can remember. It has always been an escape for one reason or another. Now, I'm taking that passion and turning it into a book. My debut book Lifeless will be released late summer 2013. I can't wait for you to read this story that has been brewing in my head for over a year. :)
