In addition to being a bookworm, I’m also a movie buff so I can’t help but compare books I read to movies. Ellie Grace’s This Time Around reminded me of a mix between Sweet Home Alabama and The Notebook with its premise of a small town girl returning home after a self-imposed exile prompted by a bad breakup. The shared memories of protagonists, Nora and Jake, may be tinged with heartache but This Time Around is a story about forgiveness and redemption with an overall air of hopefulness. Being pr ...more

I am not feeling this book. This gif expresses my frustration. With this book, and with myself. I've been reading it for three hours already, and I keep finding myself reading the same page twice, or reading but thinking of other things. And let me tell you, there is nothing technically wrong with this book. I am completely serious. But Nora suffered, I didn't feel it. She was jealous, I didn't buy it. Jake didn't want to have sex with her (I am completely disturbed), I got

Nora Montgomery fled to New York four years ago after she was left heartbroken and confused by the actions of her boyfriend at the time Jake Harris. Now she is returning home to Beaufort, South Carolina for the first time since she left to be maid of honor at her best friend Susie’s wedding. This was a refreshingly simple and sweet love story with a side of hot and steamy! It's nice to break away from the heavy stories that shatter your emotions or wreak havoc on your nerves, and This Time Around was a great escape. Looking for a heartwarming story to get lost in with characters that are easy to love? You've found it!

This Time Around is a totally and amazingly written story. I could not believe it was the author's debut book because HOLY Jake I could not get enough. I loved everything about this story from the way it tugged at my heart to the ending which was SPECTACULAR in my eyes!

Have you ever loved someone and they were so perfect for you in your eyes but your parents didn't agree? Your parents did not like him so they did everything in their powers to keep you two apart? Well welcome to Nora's world onl

This Time Around is a cute and fun summer read.  I was really excited to read this story because the focus is on two former flames getting back together.  This type of storyline is always appeals to me because it promises a lot of tension and angst.  There wasn't a ton of either, but I still thought it was a good read.

Nora Montgomery comes from a privileged family - the daughter of the town lawyer, while Jake Harris is the town bad boy.  Nora was the last person Jake thought he would fall for, b

A sweet and short romance book.

Nora and Jake were girlfriend and boyfriend, until one fateful evening when Jake didn't show up during a very important date. Nora left for college and didn't come back. Until now that is.

I really liked Nora, she was a really great girl and though I wish she had gone against her dad more. Not let herself be shipped off away from home that easily. But I really liked her how she acted, how friendly she was and how quickly she forgave Jake, when she found out why he

This book is another New Adult novel, and if you know me you know that I love New Adult novels! However I am sad to say that I was bored about 70% of this book. Nothing major was really happening, there was no suspense throughout the whole book. No gasps of "Oh no!" and absolutely no doubt in my mind that the book was going to end with them together.

I cannot describe exactly how much I really loved this book! the author outdid themselves with this well written emotion packed book.

although I've read books with a similar storyline of how teenage soul mates break apart due to secrets and find there way back to each other years after, this separated from the same category because as other readers have mentioned that basically the author doesn't beat around the Bush whilst waiting way into the storyline to discover what really kept them apart, w

This Time Around was perfect and that is exactly the reason why it wasn’t for me.

Perfect guy, perfect girl, perfect relationship that blossoms as soon as they meet again, perfect jobs, almost-perfect parents that at the end turn out perfect.

When I read the summary, I thought that there would be a little more conflict between the two of them since Nora was heart broken all these years. But right when she gets back home, Jake and her patch things up right away and everyone is happy. Of course, th

This Time Around is a wonderful summer read that resembles the feel of Sweet Home Alabama. Two teens are in love but get separated after high school. A wedding forces them to interact again a few years later. Despite the pain, they try to keep their feelings from each other, yet are still drawn to each other. Jake is a super sweet, romantic man and Nora is a strong woman. In the midst of the two reconnecting and trying to figure out the future, lies are uncovered that could change everything the ...more

I had the opportunity to beta read this book and I loved getting to know these characters. While their story isn't overly complicated and the angst is light, I found their love story endearing and steamy. I was stunned that this was a debut novel and I can't wait to see more from Ellie Grace! Definitely check this one if you're looking for a lighter, steamy romance!

By the title alone it’s pretty easy to deduce that this is yet again another second chance romance. Ellie Grace’s debut novel, This Time Around, was just a little too perfect for my liking. It’s a sweet story, easy to read, but leaves you craving just a bit more.

Now that I was actually here it was easy to remember why I fled to New York and stayed away for so long. Everything about this place made me think of him.

This book was a sweet read with a solid story and some great characters, however, I only wish there was a little more angst and drama…

Moving back home for the summer, Nora expects to run in to Jake at some point, however what she didn’t expect was to feel just as hurt and betrayed by him as she did the last night she was in town. Not wanting to end up hurt again, she tells herself that they can be friends as after the summer she will be going back to New York, however, she soon finds that the ch

This Time Around was a sweet, quick read about high school sweethearts who find their way back to each other after their rocky breakup four years prior.

Nora and Jake met when their best friends started dating and from then they were inseparable. Nora is the daughter of wealthy parents and Jake is just a small town country boy who is used to sewing his wild oats until he meets Nora. After dating for a while she decides to move their relationship into intimate territory but he stands her up that

This book is just what this small town girl needed. I loved it! It was hot, sexy and beautiful. It was full of pure passion that for some never seems to die. It is about a small town girl not only trying to find her way in the world but to find the love in her heart that she left behind when she went to the big city.

'This Time Around' was a sweet, fun and quick read.

This Time Around was a great little read. Like most NA books there's a lot of the similar characteristics you get in other books. But this one was a specially good one.

This Time Around is a very sweet love story and beautifully told.

Jake and Nora were high school sweethearts but days before Nora was to leave to go away to college, everything changed. Four years later, Nora is returning to home town to help out her best friend plan her wedding. Nora never returned home during her college years because there were too many memories and she just wanted to move on.

This Time Around was a great story of young love, a few mistakes and finding the way back to where the heart has been all along.

Nora and Jake met in high school and fell in love, but Jake manages to break Nora’s heart and she runs away to New York City and doesn’t look back. Well, at least not until 4 years later when she returns to her hometown for her best friend’s wedding.
