Be My Champion

Champions Recovery Alternatives, Inc is an organization in Hanford, California which is there to help people put their lives back in order.


That means helping those recovering from drug and alcohol addiction, the homeless, abused women, kids being taken into foster care and pretty much anyone else we can.

One Word at a Time Blog Carnival Words for 2013

Ok… So I am SO disorganized at the moment that I completely forgot to open up the call for new words for the carnival.


We have NO words lined up for 2013 just yet so for next week (Tuesday the 8th January) I’m going to make the word: Honor.

2012 – My Year in Review

2012 was a fantastic year for me, all told. I just wish i could convince my head of that!


I intended this time last year, to write a post describing the high points and low points of my year. It is probably a good indicator of how my 2011 ended that I never got around to writing that post, although I really wanted to.


2011 was a standout year for me for a few reasons:

The Kiss of Death

I’m starting a new series today because of something that weighs heavily on my heart.


I am fortunate enough to get to work with an organization which helps people whose lives have become lost in drugs, alcohol and abuse.


Drugs, alcohol, abusive home situations, prostitution, homelessness, gangs and living in fear of violent crime are all menaces which are way to prevalent in our society – and they’re things which way too many of us don’t understand.
