Elaine White is the author of multi-genre MM romance, celebrating 'love is love' and offering diversity in both genre and character within her stories.
Growing up in a small town and fighting cancer in her early teens taught her that life is short and dreams should be pursued. She lives vicariously through her independent, and often hellion characters, exploring all possibilities within the romantic universe.
The Winner of two Watty Awards – Collector's Dream (An Unpredictable Life) and Hidden Gem (Faithfully) – and an Honourable Mention in 2016's Rainbow Awards (A Royal Craving) Elaine is a self-professed geek, reading addict, and a romantic at heart.

When I get writer's block I really suffer. It can last anywhere from days to months and it kills me.

What I try to do is write at least a sentence a day. It doesn't matter what story it's for, as long as I write something. If it's an idea, then I try to run with it until the whole story is sorted out in my head. If it's just a sentence for one book one day and a sentence for another book the next day, that's fine. As long as I write something I'll eventually get over it.

Sometimes I think it's a lack of interest; where you get to the point in the story you're writing when you know exactly what is going to happen and there's nothing new to write anymore. That's usually when it hits me. My solution is to go off and read someone's else's book or work on another book until the story ending is a surprise again, then I get back to work.(less)

I have a massive TBR list for 2020, but there are some that I'm desperately looking forward to:
* Someday, Someday, by Emma Scott - I've heard *such* good things about this book.
* By Any Means Necessary, by Candice Montgomery - this sounds like such a lovely story!
* Last Night I Sang to the Monster, by Benjamin Alire Saenz - I've been meaning to read this author forever, and I was lucky enough to find this book in paperback, while on sale.
* I Felt A Funeral in my Brain, by Will Walton - I stumbled across this in paperback, while spending a gift card and I am so intrigued!
* Barbacoa, by Erik Orrantia - this was another accidental discovery, but I'm a sucker for all the elements: time travel, reincarnation, and archaeology. It was obviously a 'must have' the moment I found it.(less)

Tuesday Tunes: XLOV

I’ve really been getting back into music this year, after a few months of constant editing, so I thought I’d reintroduce a showcase of my favourite artists and songs. Showcase: XLOV XLOV debuted in 2025, but instantly became one of my favourite groups of the year! They’re so vastly different to anything I’ve seen before… Continue reading Tuesday Tunes: XLOV Read more of this blog post »

“It all seemed so impossible, so difficult after searching for her, not knowing for so long. How many times had his daughter suffered some human sickness, death or heartache over the course of her many lifetimes? How many times had she loved, cried and been without her father when she most needed him most?”
Elaine White, Runaway Girl

“He had placed the life of every one of his men before his own, and if that wasn’t the sign of a truly great leader, then he didn’t know what was.”
Elaine White, Runaway Girl

“As much as he cared for Kaitlin, he knew that the clan’s survival was much more important that his own heart. Without her, he would be heartbroken all over again. He would lose her just as he had lost Angela with no hope of ever seeing her again, but he could run the clan with a broken heart. He would be a stronger, more feared leader without her, but he was sure that if Kaitlin had known his reasoning, she would have understood. She was the only one to understand him.”
Elaine White, Runaway Girl

Hi Tracy! Thanks for the friend request. No, there won't be another book, but have you read Clef Notes? It's an anthology of short stories, that relate to the characters of The Cellist. I also have an MM series, called 'Decadent', with two books. The third comes out in October. <3 Thanks so much for getting in touch. xx
