Spring forward
It's that time of year again. No, I'm not just talking about the loss of an hour from Daylight Savings "spring forward" a couple weeks ago – which I still don't feel acclimated to yet, by the way – but it's that time for me to announce a blog hiatus. That's right, the deadline for Cat and Bones #5 looms so I'll be avoiding (most) of cyberspace to concentrate on finishing the book. I'll still swing by Frost Fans to check in on things, or maybe post the occasional Tweet (probably saying...

Friday contest
So I promised I'd do another contest this week, and looks like I'll get it in just under the wire. Whew! All the stuff that's kept me busy almost made a liar out of me. But enough of that, let's get to the contest. I have two prizes up for grabs, and you get to choose which one you want to enter for (no, sorry, you can't enter for both, so pick your favorite .
First up, a special hardcover edition of FIRST DROP OF CRIMSON. How did I get a hardcover edition of a book that released only in...

Weekend update – with contest
Slightly stunned that it's the weekend already. Is 2010 flying by for anyone else, too? This past week, I read through galley pages of Eternal Kiss of Darkness, making small changes that seem imperative to me but few others will probably notice. Then I searched through all my old computer files for the deleted scenes for the previous charity auction. Things that taught me: I have at least a dozen versions of each book on my harddrive, and none of them are in one, organized place. Thought I...

Done with one, back to the other, and release date news
For the past two weeks, blogging/Tweeting/etc has been scarce while I’ve been busy finishing a novella. Coincidentally, in the past few days I’ve gotten questions from people asking, “what is this?” Well, this is the link that just went up for the story I’ve been working on. It’s an anthology called HAUNTED BY YOUR TOUCH and authors in it are me, Shayla Black, and Sharie Kohler.
Some specifics: this story is not related to the Night Huntress universe, so there’s not a vampire to be found...

Quick wave
I'm happy to say that my bronchitis finally seems to be clearing up. No more sleepless nights spent coughing away, to my relief. As per the usual course of fate, this cold struck me at a bad time, deadline-wise. I have a short story due Monday, and the days I spent sick instead of writing means I now have a busy weekend ahead of me. If you sent me an email through my inbox/blogs and haven't gotten a response, my apologies and I'm hoping to be caught up by later next week.
In other news, FIRST ...

Special charity auction
Battling through a nasty cold at the moment, so I'm behind on answering emails/blog messages. My apologies. Blame my husband – I do, heh – because he gave me the cold.
But enough talk about that. I have a very special announcement to make. A few weeks ago, Karen from For What It's Worth blog contacted me because she was trying to raise money for Doctors Without Borders efforts in the aftermath of Haiti's earthquake. News about Haiti may have faded from the headlines but the need and...

Awesome news and podcast
I received a call earlier tonight from my editor with – you guessed it – awesome news . FIRST DROP OF CRIMSON hit # 38 on the USA Today bestseller list and # 4 on the New York Times bestseller list – my best list placement to date. This was both thrilling and unexpected because spinoffs generally do not do as well as a main series. Plus there was the whole Snowmageddon last week making trips to the book store quite challenging for a lot of people. So I'm sending out a HUGE THANK YOU to...
