Charleston recap, what's new, and what's next
Yesterday, I was at the WaldenBooks store in Charleston, SC. The store is located in a mall called the Shoppes at Charleston Place. It was such a neat area, with horse and buggy tour rides going up and down the streets, tons of shops, and enough pamphlets for ghost tours of reportedly haunted locales that it was all I could do not to take a late one after the signing. But, I knew I had an early train to catch, so I was a Good Little Author and went back to my hotel room instead of prowling...

Quotes, new cover snippet, and appearances
It’s been a fun fan site tradition for readers who’ve won an early copy of one of my books to post random quotes from it leading up to its release. This time around, of course, it’s been quotes from ETERNAL KISS OF DARKNESS. The object behind the quotes is to offer little glimpses into the book, as well as guess which character said what, and why. We’re almost done with the quotes, as the book releases Tuesday. Because I’ve had such a good time seeing which ones people picked – and they...

ETERNAL KISS OF DARKNESS tour!
As I mentioned in my previous post, I’m very happy to report that I’ll be going on a small tour for the release of ETERNAL KISS OF DARKNESS right after the Romance Writers of America (RWA**) convention. Below are the dates and stops. If you’re in any of these areas, I certainly hope you get the chance to come out! I’d love to meet you. Don’t worry, I don’t bite – unless you ask really, really nicely *wink*.

RomCon recap
I had a great time at RomCon last weekend! Yes, it was their first annual convention, so there were some hitches with events, but overall I think it was a wonderful time. There were sooooo many free books. I think readers could’ve walked away with fifty free books each if they’d wanted to. The dealer room also had all kinds of cool knick-knacks, including delicious fudge, hand made soap, costume jewelry, and of course, more books.
What I liked best about RomCon was the interaction with...

RomCon
Tomorrow I get on the first of three trains to head to the Rocky Mountain Romance Convention (RomCon) in Denver, Colorado (why yes, I DO have some flying fears. Why do you ask?? ). This should be a really fun event. If you're in the Denver, CO area and are able to attend, I'd love to see you there. Details about the convention are below.

Snippets ahoy!
As many of you already know, the other day, I posted a snippet from the stepback of THIS SIDE OF THE GRAVE (haven’t seen it? Here it is) because I’m not allowed to show the whole cover yet. I got a lot of comments from people saying they enjoyed that, and a few comments from readers saying a paraphrase of, “Why don’t you post a tiny snippet of the cover each week so we could do a puzzle?”
You know what? That sounds like fun to me! I can’t post them every week because it’ll show too much &ndash...

Edits, links, rumors, and excerpts
I can't believe it's Friday already. Week, where have you gone? Aside from a nagging headache that just doesn't want to leave, it's been a good week, though. On Wednesday I received my edits on THIS SIDE OF THE GRAVE. Good news – they weren't extensive. Just several scene fixes for plot clarity, plus trimming places where I overexplained things, and adding places where I obviously thought people could read my mind, heh. So I'll be working on fixing all of those things - plus sending it to my ...

Much ado about nothing
Just looked at the calendar and realized it's been over two weeks since I blogged. Time, she is a-flyin'. In the past two weeks, I had a birthday, managed to finally get my inbox cleaned out (I'd just let emails pile up while I was in the last leg of writing THIS SIDE OF THE GRAVE), completed four interviews that had been backburnered until the book was done (noticing a trend here?? EVERYthing gets shoved aside the last couple weeks of deadline!), renewed my driver's license (seven hours and ...
