She started writing as a hobby while in college after purchasing Southern Heritage cookbooks, which were filled with pages of old plantation homes. She wrote more after moving to Virginia Beach and visiting beautifully restored homes in Williamsburg as well as plantations on the James River. There's always an interesting story associated with each place and it gets my creative juices flowing. The second thing I do to get inspired is go for a walk and/or run. Exercise like this always seems to help me think better. I always have my phone with me so that I can type out ideas I get.(less)

I never know exactly where my story will go in the middle - ideas sometimes come mid-sentence and I usually just go with it. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I do usually know how it will end, though, when I begin a book. I think I enjoy making conversations between characters the most. I enjoy wondering what this person would say, what would their reaction be. It's a fun process.(less)

His parents are divorced and he has a dual citizenship, dividing his time between the USA and England. He makes a new friend who shares similarities with him, but as he approaches graduation,... I enjoyed traveling through the streets of London as well as the Scottish Highlands in this book. I just got back from a trip to each six months ago and I could imagine the places described clearly. Lots of action and romance.
