"Websites will become the AM radio of the Internet."
If you don't believe me, believe +Jay Baer. Better yet, believe +George Colony, CEO Forrester Research, as the quote is his.

No, don't abandon your website. But there will be a shift in perception, just as there has always been shifts in perception. In an internet of things with ubiquitous connectivity, information flows to us when we need it and where we are at that time.
How will you adapt to that? Jay's book might help you figure that out: http://goo.gl/XxAjox

Recommend a slick meeting-scheduling/appointment-booking site that works globally!
I'm disappointed with Doodle. I'm weary of looking up time-zones and getting the math wrong. I don't want to rifle through a three-column list to see what time it is somewhere else. I don't want to do any of that.
I want a simple web interface that lets me say when I'm available, lets me invite others or everyone, smart enough to know what's on my gCal to not overlap, offers a public-facing view that hides details and just says when I'm free, and a bunch of other cool things I don't know that I need yet.
Who makes it?

Arizona Wilderness Brewing almost grand opening!
Because I'm special, I get to drink early. So can you!
721 Arizona Ave in Gilbert. Just south of Guadalupe on AZ Ave. Behind Bruggers. Across from Sonic. Follow the smell of great craft beer.

Are you cut out for an indie career?
Some of you dream of the riches you can make on your own. Authors, you probably dream of making it big. Craft beer nerds, you might dream of opening up your own nano place some day. And some scientists dream of becoming full-time bloggers just so they can sit around in their undies all day. Apropos of nothing, hi +Philip Plait!
But being an indie isn't for everyone. Is it for you? +Mars Dorian can a quick litmus test to help you find out.

I have no idea what the image means. But it was on Mars' post and creepy enough for me to post it.

How to stop doing things | Show Up Sundays
If you've noticed, my Google+ profiles shows me working at helping people figure out what not to do. Sure, that's a little flippant, but it's also fairly accurate. I've done a lot of dumb things the hard and wrong way in my time. But I've a knack for noticing that -- quickly -- and making the necessary adjustments in my approach to work smarter, not harder.
And that's what I'll pontificate about on the next Show Up Sundays.

About Show Up Sundays
For me, Sunday is part work, part relaxation, and part planning for the week ahead. I start early -- or rather I should -- to get the jump on the day. Each week I'll choose a different theme, talk about that for a bit, and then answer questions. And yes, off topic is just fine.
Grab your mate/coffee/tea and put something on to cover your bed-head, and let's see what happens.
