As much as I love spending money on crowd-funding sites like Kickstarter and Indiegogo, I'm on record as saying that authors tend to do a crummy job using them as a fundraising platform.
So it should be quite the bloodbath (and now you get the photo) when I take +RJ Blain to the mat over the topic tonight at 5:30 p.m. PDT.
Or somewhere about that time. Just watch my stream or hers and you can watch the fight. Here's what she said about it if you're interested in the losing side:

This photo nabbed from Flickr, cuz it's under Creative Commons licensing and is cool: http://www.flickr.com/photos/51035610542@N01/478687926/

I'm donating my carcass to medical research (if for no other reason that even more people can see me naked,) but maybe I can get someone to hack off a finger and shoot it into space?
They're taking reservations now: http://elysiumspace.com

Re-state your assumptions.
Assumptions are rather like dust-bunnies. They build up and take on a quasi-sentient nature if you let them. That's not a good thing, because the assumptions you relied on ten years ago can't be all that relevant to you today. Things change. You change. The world changes. And so too should your assumptions. On this Show Up Sundays, we'll talk about the systematic dismantling of assumptions and the benefits that will bring.
About Show Up Sundays
For me, Sunday is part work, part relaxation, and part planning for the week ahead. I start early -- or rather I should -- to get the jump on the day.
Care to join me? Each week I'll choose a different theme, talk about that for a bit, and then answer questions you submit during the show. And if you have question now, add it here: http://goo.gl/SWALwi
Grab your mate/coffee/tea and put something on to cover your bed-head, and let's see what happens.

So if you know someone who's more into reading posts than watching videos, please direct them this way. Assuming they want to know how to be a better behaved author on Google+, that is!

AZ Central's BEST 2013 voting begins.
I, of course, voted on best happy hour (Handlebar in Tempe) and best local -- yes, that's redundant -- brewery (Fate in Scottsdale.)
And to protest their only being a "best sports bar category" (really?), I went ahead and nominated Christie's Cabaret as my vote for "kid friendly".
