Excerpt:
“Who’s that for?” A smooth male voice pulls me from my work.I place the last white flower into the vase, and spin it, checking appearance at all angles. “This is actually for no one in particular, Sid.” I shrug to my best friend and employee.“Come on, G,” he coaxes, using my nickname for effect.I sigh. “I’m just puttin’ it together. They’re my flowers, so who cares why I arrange them?”“Yes, I’m well aware who my boss is,” he deadpans. “I’ve seen you at work, and I’ve seen you work. There’s a difference.”I glance up to him. His eyebrow is arched, daring me to deny what he’s said. His blue eyes are drilling into mine, knowing that I’m hiding something. If I hadn’t known him since grade school, I’d ignore him and tell him to mind his own business. But this is Sid, one of my best friends, who will eventually pull out my mystery flower messenger anyway. Quickly, I remind myself why I’ve hired him to begin with. I can trust him, and he’s known me for so long he knows how to help me and not be a distraction.I blow out a slow breath of resignation as I side step him, placing the vase on the wide windowsill. “When I left my house this morning, there were four white carnations on my porch. There was no note either, so I just brought them here. And I can’t sell them - they’re not mine.”His usually smiling mouth opens and closes like a fish sucking for air. “So you just bring stoop flowers in here?” While his eyes usually seem hooded, giving him that lazy surfer look, now his eyelids widen as his eyebrows disappear under the baseball cap that’s hiding his shaggy blonde hair, making his pastel blue eyes pop wide. The more he sputters, the more his nostrils flare. “Go wash up! There could’ve been poison on them!”I burst out laughing. “Sid, calm your conspiracies. Who would poison carnations?” Ever since middle school, he’s always had crazy conspiracies. The teachers had a hidden agenda with pop quizzes and homework. Parents having evil plans by giving us chores, and then there was the driver’s license hoax. Thankfully we’re interrupted by the bell chimes above the door.I work to calm my rolling hysterics, taking a deep breath, and trying to think about anything other than poisoned carnations or Sid as I walk to the front of my store. “Welcome to G-Quets. I’m Georgina, can I help you?” I ask to the back of someone’s head. The man spins around so fast he’s a blur and wraps his arms around me, pulling me into a huge bear hug. “G-G! Is this your store?”
That voice, the familiar husky scratch.

Getting this off my chest...It feels good.
It's time to come clean!
I have to admit something this evening…*stands up*Hi, my name is Rachel and I’ve become THAT person. My family is THAT family. My house…yea, you guessed it…is THAT house. My Christmas tree is up and decorated already. Decorations are out. Snowman wreath is on the door too.Yup. We’re THOSE people. If you ask me, I’ll probably tell you it’s my husband’s fault. Don’t listen to me. It is MY fault. Here’s why:
A few weeks ago, an author friend of mine reminded everyone that she is holding 12 Days Of Christmas on her blog. That anyone who is interested in writing a Christmas short story can send it to her and she will post it as a thank you to the readers for Christmas.Upon reading this, I got super excited and responded with a “This sounds like SO much fun! I’ll see what I can come up with!”Because, you know, I don’t already have enough on my plate or anything…Release Day is 10 days away, I’m rewriting book 2 of The Soul Mate Series, writing another, haveabooksigningcomingupchild’s15thbirthday,christmasshopping,traveling… *takes a deep breath* I started working on a Christmas short story.I have no idea if I’ll actually be able to finish it by the time I have to get it over to her, but I’m trying. If not, I’ll save it for next year.Anyway, because of this short story, I’ve been listening to Christmas music, helping to get into the mood for the story to flow just right…Husband decided that because I’ve been bugging him with Christmas Carols, he put the Christmas tree up. It totally helps my mojo.BUT.WE ARE NOW THAT FAMILY! I AM NOW THAT PERSON! I HAVE THAT HOUSE. The people who put their decorations up early. On the plus side, at least we don’t leave our stuff up and out all year long! ;) LOL *sits back down*I had to say, that felt good to say all of that. Now, I’m going to go back to work so I stay on schedule!
A Message of Flowers releases in TEN DAYS!!!!!!!!!!! I'm SO excited for you to meet these characters!

Excerpt-
He walked me to the door, and kissed my forehead before opening it. “Just hurry up. I’m worried about you.”"I’ll be fine.” I leaned in to kiss him, but turned away just before our lips met. “Oh wait." I grabbed my phone. He didn’t say anything, just furrowed his brows together so his forehead crinkled. Good, I planned to surprise him. Walking down the hall toward the alcove with the ice and vending machines, I couldn't understand why Tyler was acting so strange. Wasn't this the natural progression of our relationship? Wasn't this the ultimate purpose of us coming away together?I slowed, typing a message into my phone as I walked.Miss me?Get the ice and get back here.Ooh you do miss me! Hope this helps with the wait. I puckered my lips, took a close-up picture of them and attached it to the message.Stop it!Party pooper!I was there, a step away from the small room. Before my eyes ever made out the figure, I felt his presence. My heart thrummed. I felt every nerve ending come alive and vibrate inside me. When I thought I recognized him my breathing sped up, and a thin sheen of sweat covered my skin. It was Reece. It had to be. In dark rimmed glasses and a baseball cap. He stared at me mirroring my surprise. I let the ice bucket slip from my hands. My mouth was dry. I stood still, frozen in place, wanting to touch him, afraid he'd disappear if I did. "Reece," it came out in a whisper. His eyes grew large, those beautiful brown eyes I imagined every night as I went to sleep. His brows furrowed together, then he turned on his heel and walked down the hall. "Wait!" I called after him. "Please, come back."He picked up the pace, moving faster the further away he got. Gathering myself together I chased after him. I needed him to stop or slow down so I could catch up, but I couldn't move fast in the heels or I'd end up spattered all over the floor. Watching him from behind I noticed the hair peeking out from under the cap wasn't the same light brown he'd had over the summer. It was dark, almost black. But it was Reece. It had to be him. He turned at the end of the hall. By the time I got there, I looked in the direction he went, but there was no sign of him. He must have ducked inside one of the rooms. "Damn it!" Why didn't he stop? Reece would never turn away from me. Ever. It was just wishful thinking on my part, just like believing he was alive. Or that he truly was Romeo and I Juliet. It was a nice fantasy, nothing more. I had to get my head out of the clouds and bring myself back to reality. Back to Tyler and the promise of what lie ahead with him. I walked back to the alcove, picked up the bucket, and looked around for Reece one last time. The hall was silent. There were no sounds but the thrum of the machines. For a minute I thought I imagined the whole scenario, that guilt from my subconscious must have made me delusional. But I didn't. A man wasthere. Right in front of me, and it was Reece. Why the hell didn't I reach out and touch him before he ran off. If he were nothing more than a figment of my imagination why would he turn and leave? Why would my heart race just from being near him?

Meet Danielle!

Author BioDanielle Sibarium grew up as an only child of divorced parents in Brooklyn, New York. Her imagination was developed at an early age. Surrounded by stuffed animals and imaginary friends, she transported herself into a fantasy world full of magic and wonder. Books were the gateway between her play world and reality. On any given summer afternoon she became Snow White sweeping and cooking for the dwarfs, or Cinderella waiting for the prince.
Danielle always loved dialogue and in elementary school began writing plays and short stories. This is when she began to understand she could not only bring her fantastical world to life for herself, but she could enchant others as well. And so she wrote. She wrote and wrote and wrote.
Sadly the first piece she ever sent out for publication of any sort was a letter to the editor of The Home News Tribune. It was a piece thanking the first responders for their bravery and selflessness on Sept 11th. It was chosen as letter of the week.
In 2007 Danielle collaborated with Charlotte Doreen Small to write songs for her CD More. Danielle wrote the lyrics for Take My Hand, and Goodbye, while Charlotte contributed the melody. In October 2011 Danielle’s debut novel For Always was released. She Has since released Heart Waves and the second book in the Heart Waves series, Breaking Waves.
Danielle graduated from Farleigh Dickinson University with honors, and currently lives in New Jersey with her husband and three children.

Making Faces by Amy Harmon Blog Tour

Making Faces is the story of a small town where five young men go off to war, and only one comes back. It is the story of loss. Collective loss, individual loss, loss of beauty, loss of life, loss of identity. It is the tale of one girl's love for a broken boy, and a wounded warrior's love for an unremarkable girl. This is a story of friendship that overcomes heartache, heroism that defies the common definitions, and a modern tale of Beauty and the Beast, where we discover that there is a little beauty and a little beast in all of us.

My Review... If you've been following the tour at all, my review is likely an echo of what everyone's saying. This story... here, just read my review!
Making Faces is a beautiful, heartwarming tale of pain, loss, and love, entwined with poetry, belief, and pride.
At the beginning, you meet Fern in high school. "Little funny Fern." She was a dainty girl, wore braces and thick glasses, and had wild red hair. But that's just on the outside. Inside, she was caring, loving, intelligent, and beautiful. She freely and lovingly helped take care of her best friend, her cousin, Bailey. She had a passion for writing, poetry, and romance novels. And was in love with the beautiful Ambrose Young, hero of a small town in Pennsylvania for being a star wrestler.
While in high school, 9/11 happened. Everything changed. Not just for the students, but for everyone, including Ambrose, you'll have to read to find out just how he was impacted.
It's a heart wrenching and beautiful tale of a small girl with a big heart.
I'd be lying if I said I didn't cry, I did. More than once. I felt each characters pain. I relived the events from watching the tower fall on the classroom television in my own high school. I fell in love with each of the characters.
Making Faces is now one of my favorite novels to date. Being a girl from a small town in Pennsylvania, watching as friends and classmates enlist in the military, and hearing the news that some will not be coming home. A lot of points in this story struck home for me. The healing and romance between Fern and Ambrose is like the balm to a troubled soul and as beautiful as the fall leaves in Pennsylvania.
I truly hope you all read this book, and like Bailey, I hope you all find the silver linings in life. Find reasons to live and enjoy life, instead of just going trough the motions.

Excerpt -
"You look thinner. Have you been eating?""Y-Yes," I say. Do I really look that underfed?"There's dark circles under your eyes," He continues. "You've been sleeping alright?""You have them too," I counter. "Yours are way bigger than mine."Grace smothers a laugh behind a warm bread roll. Lee still doesn't look at me, but under the table I can see his fist clench on his thigh."It doesn't matter what I have," He insists. "If you aren't sleeping well -""You look like a zombie!" I raise my voice. A peal of Grace's laughter escapes from behind the bread. People from other tables turn and stare. Lee's so shocked he tilts his head and looks at me, but I falter under the intensity of his gaze and glance away."A-A good-looking zombie," I correct myself. "But you just don't look very happy, I think. You...you should look happier. You're getting married soon. That's supposed to be one of the happiest times in your life, right?"Grace's giggling drops off suddenly. Lee's other hand forms a fist on his other leg. Somehow it feels like I've said something wrong. Maybe I have. But he doesn't look happy at all, and that's hurting me more than he can ever know."I'm sorry," I stammer. "It's none of my business."

Tate is left alone with not only an empty bed but also a thousand thoughts running through his head. Insecurities soar as he wonders if he could ever really be the kind of man Savannah deserves.
When the demons of his past continue to threaten the future he so desperately craves, Tate knows he has to make the ultimate choice. Risk destroying his relationship and his family with one life changing decision, or gamble on fate and hope the past stays exactly that…the past.

Returning to Kennebunkport isn't all that it's cracked up to be for Nari and Rydan. Barely escaping one evil by the skin of their teeth, running head first into the next was the last thing they were expecting. With Nari's best friend Zaylie held hostage by the leader of the Black Eagles, Nari's number one priority is getting Zaylie, along with everyone else she cares about, back home safe and sound. Only, the worst thing that could possibly happen has happened.
Death.
With the hope of undoing what would normally be permanent, Nari, with the help of the two brothers she loves most in the world, sets out on a unique quest that could ultimately mean her downfall. Is the end result worth the sacrifice? Is Nariella truly willing to do whatever is necessary to fulfill a vow?
Or is there nothing that can reverse the start of a Sweet Requiem?

Sharing My Crazy...
Well, it’s that time of year again.First cold of the season… Honestly, I’m more surprised it didn’t happen sooner with as wild as the weather has been this month. Just two weeks ago or so Pennsylvania had temps in the 90's...crazy.But, if there’s anything I’ve learned over the past two years of my writing journey, its this…1. Don’t forget to disinfect the laptop. AND… 2. Fever/sick brain is AWESOME for my creativity. Fevers are my brain’s favorite time to push out ideas. Which I’ve been slowly working on a few of them, but other works became more important. Like, A Message of Flowers and Soul Promise and one other…which I’ll announce soon, just not today. It’s nearly five in the morning my time, and I’ve gotten one hour of sleep… sick will continue unfortunately. But the good news is I’ve been taking this time to edit. I got edits back Monday morning and have been slowly trudging through. There’s some work to be done and if I weren’t sick they’d go a lot faster. But since it’s super quiet…I’ve got my coffee, earbuds, and the heater kicking…I’m all bundled up and quickly typing this up before going back to editing.
I really quickly wanted to share part of my dream I had last night. Only because I thought it was cool and funny.
I have no idea where I was in this dream, or who the people were that I was with, but it was me, a British girl, and some guy. I was lying in a ditch and the other two were a few yards away behind a building and the bad guys were coming. (Oh no! What ever will we do?) These bad guys - were wearing khakis. I’m not sure if that’s whythey were bad guys… but they were bad, wearing khakis, and… They. Were. Hideous. (State Farm joke…HAHAHAHA… but totally fitting for this dream.) I did what any kick ass dream girl would do. I pointed my finger and shot them. MY FINGER WAS A DART GUN!
Okay. That is all. Why am I sharing this? Because I felt like sharing. Sharing is caring. And I’m assuming everyone would rather me share a silly dream than a sickness. ;)
Back to editing I go!
