Author to AUTHOR Sneak Peek Sunday: The Certainty of Deception by Jeanne McDonald

Jeanne McDonald is revealing an excerpt of her upcoming release The Certainty of Deception (The Truth in Lies Saga #2) coming July 8, 2014.
“Granny,” Jared laughed, slipping out Lindsey’s hold to embrace the woman.  “How are you, sweetheart?”She tweaked his cheek.  “Better now that we have some fresh meat in this house.”I couldn’t help but laugh.  This old woman had a feisty spirit.  “Mhm,” she moaned, looking at me.  “And your pictures don’t do you justice, handsome.”  She waddled toward me, her eyes roaming down my body, as though she were admiring the package.  “Very nice.  My granddaughter has impeccable taste.”  She cupped my chin between her index finger and thumb, pulling my face to hers.McKenzie turned around, her eyes wild with surprise. “Granny!”Granny waved her hand, dismissing her granddaughter.  “Hush, child.  I’m just getting a good look at this fine specimen of a man.”“I told you he was a hottie,” Lindsey confirmed, stepping away from me to return to her work.“You did.  No woman could resist these eyes or dimples.  I bet you get lucky with all the ladies, don’t cha?”My smile widened.  This woman was a riot.  “I do okay.”“Don’t be so modest.”“Drew? Modest?  He wouldn’t know modesty if it bit him in the butt,”Jared declared.  A loud laugh, more like a snort, came from where McKenzie stood.  I shifted my eyes to catch her hand flying up over her mouth.  The most beautiful shade of red painted her face and neck as she covered her mouth, turning her back to us.“You see,” I started, “I have eyes for only one woman.” I glanced over to McKenzie.  I couldn’t see her face, but her posture told me she knew exactly whom I was referring to.  “I have my charms, sonny, but we just met.  Let me get to know you first before you go around tellin’ everyone you have eyes for only me.”My mouth dropped.  For a moment, the old woman had stunned me.  However, I regained my composure quickly.  “Sweetheart, you’re a beautiful woman, but you couldn’t handle me.  I’m afraid I’d break you.”Granny released my chin and patted my cheek.  “Boy, you don’t know how wrong you are.”  She reached around and pinched my backside.  “Firm.  Nice.”  I about died right there.  Not many people could make me blush, but this old woman certainly was an exception.“Mother!” Bill scolded her.  “Mind your manners.  You don’t want to scare the boy to death.”Granny cocked her head to the side, glaring at her son.  “He’s no boy, Billy.  Drew here is all man.”Jared and Gavin practically killed over in laughter.  “How is it that you know my name, but I don’t know yours?” I asked. She patted my butt and grinned, exposing her oversized dentures.  “I’m Glenda,” she stated, “but everyone calls me Granny.”“What if I call you Glenda?”Her thick tongue washed over her teeth.  “Only if you’re screaming it.”

Mark your calendars.  The Certainty of Deception Blog Tour and Online Release Party starts July 8th, 2014.

After years of living in the darkness of his past, Andrew Wise, a young attorney working for his family’s law firm in Sarasota, Florida, has finally broken free of the demons that haunt him.  Wealth, success, happiness, and true love; everything a man could ever dream of, was right at his fingertips.  Or so he thought.  But in the blink of an eye, all of that changed.  Upon discovering that his ex-girlfriend, Olivia Hamilton, was pregnant, Drew fell back into some old habits, which led to him losing the one person that mattered the most in his life - McKenzie Evans.
When McKenzie left him and returned to Texas, Drew was beside himself.  The night before she left, he made an agreement with her best friend Jared Christopher, that he would give her time and space to come to grips with the fact that he’d fathered her best friend’s child.  Now, two months later, he feels as though he held up his end of the bargain, Drew can’t take their separation any longer.   With his brother’s wedding mere weeks away, Drew devises a plan to win McKenzie back.
Under the guise of a bachelor getaway for Gavin, Drew, along with his brother and Jared, jets off on an adventure to the panhandle of Texas.  There, he will learn what made McKenzie who she is and will find strength within himself that he never realized existed.
In this charming sequel to The Truth in Lies, Drew and McKenzie discover that not everything is as it seems, forgiveness is a matter of acceptance, and true love really can conquer all.

Jeanne McDonald began telling stories at the ripe young age of five, when her mother considered the truth to be a lie due to her extensive embellishment to the retelling of an event.  She wrote her first short story when she was twelve years old, and at the age of sixteen she tried her hand at poetry.  She reconnected with her love for writing in 2010 thanks to the encouragement of a dear friend.

Her passions include a "mild" Starbucks addiction, music, reading, quotes, movies, and romance.  When she's not spending time with her family, she can be found reading, writing, chatting with her friends or diligently working toward her bachelor's degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology.  A proud Texan, Jeanne currently resides in the Dallas/Fort Worth area with her family.

Sam was waiting patiently for the barista to make his drink with two extra shots of espresso when he heard the tinkling laughter of two nurses ordering their own coffees.
He turned to see what all the fuss was about. The tall, dark haired nurse was showing the slightly shorter, brunette friend something on her cell phone.
“Two venti cafe mochas, please,” the tall one ordered.
“Venti, Lexi? I’m going to have such a sugar high by the time I get to the bottom of the cup.” The other one laughed.
Sam noticed something familiar about the brunette nurse at that moment and her voice confirmed it. For years, he’d dreamed of long, wavy brown hair, a pair of bright blue eyes, and heart shaped lips. Sam couldn’t believe it’d been almost ten years since he last saw her in his parents’ kitchen. There was no thought in what he did next, he acted on pure instinct.
“Why, if it isn’t little Miss Sophie McKibbin.”
Sophie turned her head in his direction, and a soft smile spread across her lips when she giggled. “Mr. Sam Crawford. Fancy meeting you here.”
Lexi looked between the smiling pair with confusion. “Someone fill me in, please?”
“Sorry, Lexi. Sam, this is my best friend and roommate Lexi Carter. Lexi, this is Sam Crawford. He’s from Halston, too, and happens to be the brother of my cousin’s wife,” Sophie explained.
“Well, that explains the greeting. I guess the two of you didn’t know you worked in the same hospital?” Lexi asked.
Sophie looked at him in surprise. “You work here?”
Sam rubbed the back of his neck nervously. He never imagined he would be so uncomfortable in Sophie’s presence, but she’d grown even more beautiful since he last saw her.
“Yes. I’m one of the evening hospital administrators. I’m assuming you two are part of our top notch nursing staff?”
“Yes, in the intensive care unit,” Sophie responded.
“You must be the team Dr. Thomas has been bragging about.” Sam was stuck smiling as he gazed into her crystal-blue eyes. “We should all go out for a drink sometime.”
“Sounds great,” Sophie replied.
Sam dug his business card out of his pocket and wrote on the back. “This is my office number, but my cell is on the back.”
“Thanks.” Sophie’s cheeks reddened as she took the card from him.
“See you later.” He lifted his coffee cup to the two before he left the cafeteria.
Lexi grasped Sophie by the elbow and forced her into a nearby booth. “I need details. Who is that sex-on-a-stick, and why have I never met him before?”
Sophie shook her head as memories of a younger Sam flooded her mind.  The years had been very kind to him in her opinion. He was over six feet tall, with what appeared to be a lean yet muscled body. His light brown hair looked like it needed a trim, but was incredibly sexy at the same time. Like her own were, his eyes were blue, yet they seemed hold a sparkle she’d never seen before when he smiled.
“His younger sister and I were friends in high school. Sam was in college at that time, so I didn’t see much of him, but when I did . . .” Sophie got a faraway look in her eyes.
“You liked him!” Lexi smacked Sophie’s hand that lay on the table between them.
“Yep, I fell hard. I admit there was a bit of flirting, but nothing ever came of it.” Sophie ran her fingertips over her warm cheeks. “I thought I might see him a bit more once Caroline and my cousin, Drew, started dating, but he was working somewhere out east. Then I started dating Josh, and you know how that turned out.” Her relationship with Josh Reynolds had been a complete disaster, dictating how she had spent the last several years of her life.
“It’s time to get back on the horse, so to speak. I’m sure that cowboy wouldn’t mind a ride.”
Sophie laughed, but deep down in the dirty recesses of her mind, she could picture it happening.

nook_logo-200x88 __________________________________________________________________Excerpt“What are we doing here?” Maya asked when we pulled up to my shop. This date was about remembering our first meeting, for her to see how I truly felt. Taking her face in my hands, I caressed her cheek with the tip of my fingers and leaned forward to ghost my lips over hers. “Where did we meet, Maya?” I asked, then waited for her reaction. She didn’t disappoint. A small smile overtook her face. “Here.” “So where else would I want our first date to be?” Maya giggled, confusing me. “This isn’t our first date, Talan.” “No? Are you sure?” She nodded, still laughing at my confused state. “I don’t remember taking you—” “Shush,” Maya placed her finger over my lips, “our first date happened right here a few months back. The same night we discussed your tattoos.” “But you said . . .” I trailed off; this having a woman shit was confusing. “I know what I said, Talan.” She sounded exasperated and all traces of humor left her features. “I asked to date, to make us official.” “Why didn’t you just say so?” I grumbled while rubbing my temples. “I did; you just heard what you wanted.” Bitty raised an eyebrow at me. “Now, feed me.” “You drive me insane.” If I didn’t care for this woman, I would strangle her. My words were met with another raised brow and a saucy smirk. “Then I’m doing something right.” I laughed at her reply. What could I say to argue that logic? She had every right to act cocky at the moment. Bitty had me by the balls and knew it. “Stay.” Turning off the engine of my truck, I unbuckled my seatbelt and got out of the car. Maya stayed inside, waiting on me. “Ready?” She nodded. I unbuckled her seatbelt, grabbed her by the waist, and helped her down. Her small frame slithered down my body, rubbing against my hardened cock. “For you? Since we met.” “Behave.” My warning was met with defiance. Maya’s hands grabbed onto the front of my pants. She pulled me forward; my erect shaft nestled between our bodies, pushing against her stomach. “Feed me.” “Hungry?” I grunted when her right hand dipped inside my waistband. “Commando?” She moaned, ignoring my question. Maya ran the tip of her fingers around the slit, rubbing the liquid there over my swollen head. I shivered while watching, mesmerized, as she brought the glistening digits toward her lips and sucked. “Maya, please. Let’s go eat. You have to be starving.” “I am,” she whimpered, as my flavor danced over her tongue. Maya winked at me then shimmied once more against me. The head of my cock—now purple and swollen—peeked out from the waistband, searching for her touch. “Quit fucking around, Bitty.” Growling under my breath, I tucked my dick back into my pants, much to her disappointment. It’d been torture not taking her, but it was getting worse than before. We were both so close to that moment and we knew it. “I ordered in.” “Warned you; I’m hungry.” She ignored my statement and instead pulled me down to her level. Her eyes shone with emotion, deep and as pure as she was. “Don’t care about food.” Maya bit my lip, hard. “Feed me.” “Fuck.” She killed my will, my need to show her I wanted more from her than just the sweet pussy between her thighs. “First, food, and then for dessert, I’ll give you my cock,” I whispered—more a plea than a bargain—against her lips. She bit down once more and backed away, leaving my lip bruised and tingling. “Tempting.” Bitty stepped back. “Convince me.” “Okay.” I took a step forward and backed her into my truck, my fingers tangling in her hair. She opened her mouth to speak, but my finger over those succulent lips silenced her. “Quiet.” Maya whined against my hold. My hips kept her in place, taunting her, I ground my hardened length against her. “We’re going to enter my shop and enjoy all the hard work I’ve put into this date. Nod if you understand.” She did. “I want to enjoy you.” Bitty moaned at this, and swiveled her hips into me. “Feed you. Don’t take that away from me.” At those last words, a soft expression overtook her face and she stilled in my arms. She sighed. “You win.” “What was that?” I asked needing to hear her say it again. “You win.” Maya smiled and pushed me back with a gentle shove. “I want it all. You, me, and this date . . . the small talk and flirting. Maybe even another orgasm at the end of the night?” She was too cute when showing her neediness. “No more harassing me?” I gave her a playful smile. “For now.” She winked then pushed me toward the front doors of my shop. “Stop.” I turned to face her. Maya’s look was confused, but her confusion turned into that burning need I loved when she realized what I’d pulled from my pockets. “Turn around,” I demanded and she complied. She did. No questions, just obedience. I could get used to that. “I’m going to cover your eyes.” My words were met with a needy whimper. Maya pressed her body closer to mine. The heat coming off her skin seared me. “How do you expect me to behave if—” “Quiet. Not a word,” I whispered into her ear and laid a small kiss on her neck. “Just enjoy.” The small blindfold I’d pulled from my pocket dangled from my finger. Her eyes followed its movement. I wanted her to see the words etched onto the silk fabric, the ones I’d chosen just for her: Marked. It said everything I felt. Every one of my pores, every cell in my body wore her stamp—her mark. Now, she would wear mine.
__________________________________________________________________~*~ MY REVIEW ~*~

Talan and Bitty, Esther and Simon, and even crazy Janice … the whole zany crew are back in this second installment of the Marked series along with some new characters! And let me tell you, the heat level has gone up this time around. In Marking Him, Reyes continues to stretch her writing wings by weaving a tale of learning to trust but knowing when to stand your ground.
Our main couple, Talan and Maya (aka Bitty), are forging ahead in their budding relationship, both wanting to accelerate to full speed but knowing they need to pace themselves if they have a chance in hell at this being more than a relationship of LUST.
With two such stubborn leads, can they find that middle ground? Will Maya ever be able to accept Talan’s protective tendencies as simply part of his FIERCE love for her? Can she understand that it’s who he is, how he must act? What of Bitty’s independent nature; will Talan embrace it, or walk away finding it too much? Then, of course, there’s Janice: demented and forlorn, how far will she go to make her delusions reality?
There’s only one way to get all these questions answered and your heart racing. Get your copy of Marking Him now. You won’t be disappointed.

Author to AUTHOR Sneak Peek Sunday & GIVEAWAY: Ainsley Bishop by T.M. Franklin

Sneak Peek Sunday
Today we get a sneak peek of How to Get Ainsley Bishop to Fall in Love with You, the new YA release coming from T.M. Franklin on June 12th!“You realize you’re forgetting one very important thing, don’t you?”
“What’s that?” I followed Viney’s gaze to the auditorium doors in time to see Ian Buckley stride into the room, all sun-bleached hair and tanned skin, with broad shoulders and biceps perfectly wrapped up in a letterman’s jacket. “Oh. Ian.”
“Yes. Ian.” Viney leaned against the console next to me. “Good-looking, popular jock. How do you compete with that?”
“Looks and popularity aren’t everything.”
“Right. He’s also rich and has a great car.”
“His family owns a dealership. Hardly a great personal achievement.” Still, I chewed on my thumbnail as Ainsley waved to Ian, a bright smile on her face. Ian was a bit of a challenge. More than a bit, actually. Not insurmountable, though. He wasn’t perfect either, and definitely not perfect for Ainsley, even though she had yet to see it.
“He thinks pi was named after, you know, pie,” I told Viney.
It took a minute for him to get it. “Seriously? Apple or blueberry?”
I laughed, shaking my head. “I’m not kidding. I heard him talking to Nathan. He said that’s why it’s used to find the circumference of a circle. Because a pie is a circle.” I mean the logic wasn’t entirely flawed, but still. Pie. Really?
Viney’s mouth twisted as he watched Ian clowning around with Nathan in the front row of seats. “So he’s not the sharpest knife in the drawer. He’s still Ainsley’s boyfriend.”
“On-again-off-again.”
Viney grimaced as she bent down to kiss him. “Looks like it’s ‘on-again’ to me.”
I sighed heavily. The truth hurts. “I know. She’ll see the light, though. It’ll just take some convincing.” I hoped I sounded more confident than I was.
Viney eyed me sideways. “You’re going to bad-mouth her boyfriend?”
“Of course not.” Not only would that be unethical, it would also be ineffective. I’d seen enough romantic comedies to figure that out. Not that I liked romantic comedies. I did have a mom, though, and every now and then she got the pick on Movie Night, so my dad and I had to endure it all with side eyes and quiet huffs. (She got annoyed if we huffed too loud.) I figured it was good research fodder, anyway, although there were definitely as many items for a not-to-do list as for a to-do one in one of those movies.
So, yeah, bad-mouthing the current boyfriend would definitely fall on that not-to-do list. Ian wasn’t a bad guy anyway, not really. Just not right for Ainsley. Not like, well, me.
“I simply mean to show her that she has options,” I said.
Ainsley burst out laughing as Ian swept her off the stage and swung her through the air before wrapping her up in a tight hug.
“Good luck with that,” Viney muttered.

Ainsley Seventeen-year-old Oliver Wendell Holmes (Yes, his parents are just that peculiar, but his brother's name is Sherlock, so it could have been worse) knows that he's different. He's quirky, awkward, and he's okay with that. Oliver also likes making lists-meticulous procedures for achieving his goals, step-by-step. Whether it's "How to Get an A in Chemistry" or "How to Get Accepted to MIT," he has a process, and it's worked for him so far. He doesn't even care that the popular kids mock him. Oliver's got his eye on the prize.
So when he decides it's time to declare his feelings for Ainsley Bishop, the girl of his dreams, it's only natural for him to make a list-a point-by-point strategy to win her heart. He knows it will take a grand gesture for her to see all he has to offer, and her approaching birthday provides the ideal opportunity for Oliver to put his plan into action.
Finding the perfect gift is a challenge Oliver meets with his usual dogged determination. He'll need to watch her carefully for clues to pinpoint exactly what he should give her. And along the way, he might just learn that what Ainsley really needs is not quite what he expected.

In the highly anticipated stand-alone sequel to The End of All Things , Lissa Bryan returns readers to a world devastated by disease, and the breakdown of modern society.

Two years after a horrific virus swept the globe, decimating the world’s population, Carly Daniels and her husband, Justin, have made a safe home in the isolated southern town of Colby. Protected by fences and a vigilant population, the residents there had somehow managed to keep the Infection out. Trust Game Cover Trust Game By Scarlet Wolfe Release Date: June 1, 2014 images SynopsisRed Reese Abbott thought her step up to an accounting manager would be with a more prestigious company than Casteel Motorsports, especially when she steps foot inside the building. Finding it spattered in grease and overrun by male employees, she wonders what she has gotten herself into. Everett Casteel is the man in charge. His three brothers help run the operation, making it more of a family affair and a place for ribbing and pranks. When Reese is hired without Everett’s knowledge, he’s furious. Having lost his wife in an auto accident, two years prior, he doesn’t want any woman filling the job his wife once held. Unexpectedly, he’s drawn to Reese and can’t help but want her physically. Although she has gone without sex for several months, she has no intentions of having a fling with her new boss. When bad boy, Everett, makes a pass at her, it sends Reese running out the door in her heels. Her younger sister, Becca, convinces her that an exciting affair with her boss is exactly what she needs before she likely settles down with a boring man. Unable to resist Everett, she agrees to his sexual games as long as he agrees to her conditions. Both wanting to have the upper hand, they challenge each other sexually, experimenting in ways they have only imagined. Neither bargain for what the other brings to the table, and when both think they’ve found exactly what they’re looking for, Reese makes a discovery about Everett’s deceased wife. The shocking revelation leaves him questioning the value of trust; the very thing he convinced Reese she had found in him. This is a hot, sexy read with descriptive sexual scenes and harsh language.

ExcerptRED Everett’s POV as he speaks to Reese: Go to lunch with me.” “Won’t the guys wonder why we’re going?” “I don’t give a flying fuck what any of them think about it.” “But I do. Remember?” She stands, and those eyebrows of hers are about to reach the peak of her forehead as her fists rest against her hips. Why in the hell did I agree to condition two? “Look, apparently you worked at stuffier establishments than this. We’re a family business, and everyone is laid back here. You’re paranoid. No one would think less of you because we like each other.” “I’m finishing my first fucking week here, and you think they’re not going to think differently of me?” Charging right at her, I pull her into my arms and take hold of her chin firmly. “You need to lower your own damn voice, and we’re about to wrestle if you don’t chill.” She exhales a frustrated breath as she leans her head back and stares at the ceiling. Her smooth throat calls to me like the wind when I’m riding. There’s never a destination far enough to get my fill of the open road, and I have an uneasy yet thrilling sense that I won’t get my fill of Reese, either. She’s layers of mystery that I need time to unfold, and her feistiness gets my blood coursing and dick throbbing, leaving me desperate for a release. Sliding my hands into the back of her hair, I hold her still and start at the hollow of her neck. The tip of my tongue embarks on its journey upward, making small circles. She swallows hard beneath it, and knowing she’s excited has my cock aching against my zipper. Her hands slip under the front of my black t-shirt, blasting me with heat as my tongue skates its way up. I circle her ear before the tip barely skims along the skin behind it. “What you do to me, I can’t explain it. I have to show you. Let me fucking show you, Reese, and stop being so damn difficult.” Fingers follow the ripples of my abs like she’s reading goddamn braille, and I’m about to spread her wide on this desk and pleasure her until she can’t even cry out my name because she’ll hardly be able to breath. “Son of a bitch,” I say before I let her go and storm to the door. Pointing back at her, I see that she’s panting, her eyes barely open, skin pink and blotchy. Dammit. “You and me tonight, and I’m getting a taste this time.” I can’t help but scowl as I readjust my raging hard-on in my jeans. I’m impossible. Bullshit. Working with her is what’s damn near impossible.

She instantly fell in love with bringing characters to life. Releasing contemporary romance throughout 2013, she has already branched out this year, releasing erotica and teen. She loves her family, friends, chocolate, wine, stories about possessive, hot alpha males, and other flavors of ice cream besides vanilla. ;) She hopes her writing will encourage readers to feel more comfortable exploring their sexuality.

COVER REVEAL: Crossing the Line by Sherri Hayes

Crossing The Line (Daniels Brothers #3)

Summary
Detective Paul Daniels has spent four and a half years mourning the loss of his wife. He’s been doing his best to raise their daughter, Chloe, with the help of his in-laws. When they inform him right before Thanksgiving that they’re going to be moving over two hours away, Paul finds himself without anyone to watch Chloe—especially when he’s called out to a crime scene in the middle of the night. Little does he know that meeting his baby brother’s girlfriend and her sister, Megan, will change everything.
Megan Carson has taken a few wrong turns in her life, but she’s doing her best to get back on track. When she meets Chloe, the little girl swiftly worms her way into Megan’s heart. The opportunity to help Paul out and watch his daughter appears to be a blessing in disguise. She quickly volunteers to be Chloe’s live-in nanny.
Everything is working well until the three of them head back to Ohio for Chris and Elizabeth’s wedding. Paul has a little too much to drink during the reception, and he and Megan end up sharing a heated kiss. When he wakes up the next day, he has a pounding headache but remembers nothing.
Megan, however, isn’t willing to forget. Over the past few months since she’s been playing nanny, her feelings for Paul have changed. He is everything she never knew she wanted, and now that she knows there might be something there, she’s going after what she wants—Paul.

Sherri spent most of her childhood detesting English class. It was one of her least favorite subjects because she never seemed to fit into the standard mold. She wasn't good at spelling, or following grammar rules, and outlines made her head spin. For that reason, Sherri never imagined becoming an author.
At the age of thirty, all of that changed. After getting frustrated with the direction a television show was taking two of its characters, Sherri decided to try her hand at writing an alternate ending, and give the characters their happily ever after. By the time the story finished, it was one of the top ten read stories on the site, and her readers were encouraging her to write more.

Seven years later, Sherri is the author of seven full-length novels, and one short story. Writing has become a creative outlet for Sherri that allows her to explore a wide range of emotions, while having fun taking her characters through all the twists and turns she can create. She is most well known for her Finding Anna Series about a young woman rescued from being a sex slave by a wealthy Dominant. Sherri’s eighth novel, Crossing The Line, is scheduled to release September 2014.
