Liverpool 2016
After the original event was cancelled, Leigh Stone stepped up and decided to get the event go ahead in order to recoup any losses made by authors and readers. In 27 days, she was able to hire a room, bring together the above authors (and models), and a whole host of readers and bloggers.
Myself, my assistant for the weekend (my best mate Sarah), another author Nicola C Priest, and blogger/volunteer Vikki Love arrived at the hotel on the Friday. Most of the evening was spent in the bar meeting up with other authors we’d already met, and other we hadn’t.
Saturday morning, we headed into the room and began to set up. Thankfully, I have a Sarah, otherwise my table would have looked like a jumble sale, but she made it all pretty. And I need to give a very special shout out to Ye Olde Swag Shoppe for providing me with the amazing swag I had to give away to readers.
Because of where I was sitting (I think I was put in the naughty corner), I didn’t realise straight away when the doors were opened until people reached my table to either buy a book or to collect a pre order. I was too busy people watching, and snapping a few sneaky photos.
I still find it a little strange when a readers asks to have a photo with me, but a couple did which I was honoured to do. I know there a couple more floating round, but I didn’t have them saved.
The signing flew by, and it was soon to pack away and head up to the room to get ready for the evening’s… shenanigans. We dressed up, Western Style, and descended on the bar for food and a lot of drink.
An amazing weekend was had by all, so much so – we’ve already decided to do it again next year. Same place, near enough the same time. Check out my events page for more details. I for one can’t wait!

Cover Reveal – Looking Back from L.A.
Wow… time certainly flew around pretty fast and already it’s cover reveal day for Gage’s POV. I really hope you like it, because I adore it and think it tells the reader so much about the story inside.
Synopsis:
It Started in Texas, but as we all know, “…Gage Charles Weston will not start something without thinking about the consequences.” In this companion novella to the story that started it all, get a peek inside Gage’s head and find out what he was thinking and experiencing while Charlotte was turning his world upside down and vice versa.
Cover designed by The Graphics Shed
**Praise for It Started in Texas**
“The banter between the girls is hilarious, they have such a beautiful friendship even though they all live countries apart from each other but they support each other so selflessly” – Natalie M (Amazon Reviewer)
“M B just makes all of the relationships within the group work, they feel real, I totally wanted to be in there with them! All characters were so laid back and relatable.” – Stacey G (Amazon Reviewer)
“I love how Charlotte came across as a ‘normal’ person. This author has a great talent of portraying her characters as real and she rocked it with this story.” – Philomena Callan (Goodreads Reviewer)

MARCH MADNESS as you’ve NEVER seen it… 15 COMPLETE NOVELS AND NOVELLAS FROM YOUR FAVORITE AUTHORS IN ONE PRETTY PACKAGE THROUGH
PAPER GOLD PUBLISHING.
Below is an excerpt from R.E. Hargrave’s genre debut, a horrific short story not meant for the faint-hearted, SLOTS:
Although Nolan had already told me what he’d seen, witnessing it first hand on the tapes had my guts flip-flopping worse than the buffet gods. With no audio we couldn’t hear what the man in black was saying to them, but I could see Taylor’s clear adoration with him. She was doing that finger twirl thing with her braid and laughing a lot. She also kept leaning into the guy… almost stumbling. It didn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out that something was very wrong about the whole scene.
Hope had always been level-headed and aware of things. I’d never not seen her in total control of her surroundings. Leo replayed the footage and I watched closely, noting how Hope became more relaxed, less alert, as she sipped on the drink the man had given her. Taylor was giggling and falling into the mystery man while Hope stood by, giving a half-hearted laugh each time.
Hot tears pricked at the corner of my eye when I watched them walk off screen. The guy was practically carrying Taylor while Hope followed behind like an unknowing puppy. I had no doubts whatsoever that he’d drugged the girls.
“Mr. Schwarz, I think we need to call the police. Right now, please.”

M. B. Feeney
M. B. Feeney is an army brat who finally settled down in Birmingham, UK with her other half, two kids and a dog. Currently at university studying for her BA (Hons) in primary teaching, she procrastinates on her assignments by listening to music of all genres and trying to get ‘just one more paragraph’ written on whichever WIP is open. She is also a serious doodler and chocoholic. Writing has been her one true love ever since she could spell, and publishing is the final culmination of her hard work and ambition.
Her publishing career began with two novellas, and she currently has multiple projects under way, in the hopes that her portfolio of what have been described as “everyday love stories for everyday people” will continue to grow. Always having something on the go can often lead to block which eventually gets dissolved by good music and an even better book.
Her main reason for writing is to not only give her readers enjoyment, but also to create a story and characters that stay with readers long after the book is finished, and possibly make someone stop and think “what if . . . ”

L.J Harris
L. J. HARRIS is a mother of teenage twin boys who she loves with all her heart. Her family is her life, her soul, and the very reason she gets out of bed every day. Coming a close second to her family is her writing.
She only just discovered a passion for writing in the past five or so years. She’d always written little poems in birthday cards for family members, but that was as far as her writing aspirations went…until she decided to write poems and give them to family members as homemade gifts.
It was then a spark was lit, and ever since, she hasn’t been unable to switch off the urge to write.
After a close family member fell ill, she began questioning what she wanted and searching for answers. Unable to sleep one night, she sat up and typed out her feelings on the laptop. Her husband read what she’d written and encouraged her to write more. It was then she knew she wanted to share her thoughts with others. She began with writing what she knew—her life story, but couldn’t get into it. Instead, she decided to write about something not based on fact, but fiction, and wrote a dream sequence which she showed to her family. They encouraged her to expand on it, and she hasn’t stopped since.
L.J. Harris discovered that as much as enduring pain, loss, betrayal, or any other negative thing in our lives can be devastating, if she hadn’t experienced them for herself, she not only wouldn’t have found some lifelong friends, she doubts she would have been able to write the feelings of anguish and loss that some of her characters have had to endure.
L.J. has been previously published and has shared several online stories and looks forward to continuing to share her work.

A Quick Update
Hi all,
I thought I’d write this post to keep you updated on what’s going on in my crazy life (I post on Facebook, but it’s bitty and can be all over the place)
Firstly, I have set up a form for you to subscribe to a newsletter I am working on sending out no more than once a month. If you’re interested in receiving the newsletter, click on the quill in the top right corner of this blog. (Just in case you’re not at a laptop or a PC, HERE’S the link.) I’m aiming for the first to be compiled and sent out after the signing next month (Liverpool, UK, 18/19 March 2016). Check out the events page for more details on this – I hope to see you there. – I am trying to work out if I can have the newsletter post on here as well as being emailed out. . . if anyone knows how to do this, let me know :)
It Started in Texas –
When I released it, I kept it exclusive to Amazon via KDP Select. I have now decided that once that expires, i will be uploading it to other platforms including Kobo, Barnes & Noble, and iBooks. This should happen within the next two weeks, and once I have links, I will be sharing them over on Facebook and on the Books page of this blog.
Valentine’s Day Anthology –
As you know, I have co authored a short with the wonderful L. J. Harris for a charity anthology which will be released on Valentine’s Day (4 days to go people!) We have been friends for years, and she is a wonderful Aussie author. This is her first foray into publishing a M/F book – not the last might I add – and she is just fantastic. have you pre ordered yet? If not, why not?
Get your copy NOW for only 0.99. All the royalties will be going to a wonderful charity based here in the UK. The British heart Foundation which strives to help people prevent heart disease which is one of the biggest killers in the UK.
Gage’s POV –
If you follow me over on Facebook, you’ll be aware that I have been working on an accompanying novella to Texas. I can officially announce that the title is . . . Looking Back from L.A.
It’s not a complete retell of the original story from Gage’s POV (I HATE those), but there will be some overlap, but mostly, it’s Gage’s thoughts on some of the more important aspects of his and Charlotte’s relationship, with a few extra bits added in.
I finished the first draft today and sent that over to the amazing R. E. Hargrave for editing. I’m hoping it’ll only need a polish *fingers crossed* and then I can get to formatting it, ready for the pre order to go live.
This will be happening around the time of the Liverpool signing (hopefully), and I am planning on the book itself to go live at the end of March – across multiple platforms straight away.
I am starting to gather information for anyone who would be interested in receiving an ARC copy. If you would like one, please fill out this FORM.
Other than these news updates, I have a few more projects planned for this year, some larger than others, that I will keep you updated about as much as I can. I really want to get more, quality releases out for you all.
Now for the cheeky bit.
If you have read any of my books, please consider posting a review either on Goodreads and/or Amazon (it doesn’t have to be essay length and in depth). Good or bad reviews count. I know I’ve said it before, but reviews of all ratings give authors the feedback they need to be continually improving. If readers don’t let us know if they like/dislike something, we don’t know how to get better. At the end of the day, we write for our readers, and we want to always improve to impress. We can’t do this if you don’t review.
That’s everything from me. If you have any burning questions, don’t hesitate to message me on my Facebook page or via email to mbfeeneyauthor@gmail.

I know I’m a bit late…
I just wanted to make up a post to wish all my readers a Merry Christmas. Mine was quite quiet, which was lovely, and the kids enjoyed themselves (which is the main thing in my eyes)
Next year, I aim to be much more organised with my writing and my releases. The whole “New year, new me” thing, but a tad more author-y…
I hope all of you get the 2016 you wish for and that you deserve!
