Cover Reveal – Her Best Friend’s Brother
I’m so excited to share this cover.
Her Best Friend’s Brother is a second chance romance that is due for release on 20 September 2019.
The Blurb:
Six years ago, Lucy Duncan and Jenson Phillips shared a moment on the beach. For years she had a crush on him, but hid it behind a mask of hating him, then… nothing. Now, they’re about to go on a three-thousand mile road trip together to his sister’s, Lucy’s best friend, wedding; the sister who knows nothing about their ‘history’.
If Lucy’s boyfriend Matthew had been able to make the trip with her, she wouldn’t have had to put up with Jenson’s arrogance and secretive phone calls. If Matthew didn’t always put his career before Lucy herself, then maybe she wouldn’t be reliving that one night with astounding clarity while being trapped in an old car with Jenson, the one guy she’d never truly forgotten.
Her Best Friend’s Brother is a second chance romance that will leave you wanting more.

30 Day Music Challenge – Days 1 – 10.
I LOVE music. It inspires me so much, not just in my writing, but in everyday life. I saw this on Facebook and thought it was perfect.
I decided to do this as three posts of 10 days rather than post daily because it gave me the impetus to keep coming back to it. I have to admit, I didn’t do it once a day for an entire month – is that cheating?
Day One: A Song With a Colour in the Title:
Nashville Grey Skies – The Shires
Day Two: A Song With a Number in the Title:
One More Time – Daft Punk
Day Three: A Song That Reminds You of Summertime:
Flowers – Sweet Female Attitude
Day Four: A Song That Reminds You of Someone You Would Rather Forget:
Shout Out to my Ex – Little Mix
Day Five: A Song That Needs to be Played Loud:
Run Boy Run – Woodkid
Day Six: A Song That Makes You Want to Dance:
Saturday Night – Whigfield
Day Seven: A Song to Drive to:
Radio – Stewart Mac
Day Eight: A Song ABout Drugs or Alcohol:
Cigarettes and Alcohol – Oasis
Day Nine: A Song That Makes You Happy:
Orson Brawl – 100 Monkeys
Day Ten: A Song That Makes You Sad:
The Rare Auld Times – The Dubliners
That’s the first ten songs… What would you have picked for each day? Let me know in the comments.
There She Goes – Live in 7 Days!
I can’t believe There She Goes goes live in 7 days. One whole week! It feels like this one has been ready for forever.
The blurb:
Sophie Jennison’s secret is exposed, and the bullies give her hell for it. As far as she’s concerned, there’s only one way to escape… despite how much it’ll hurt those who love her. But, she can only hide her pain and from her problems for so long.
When she finally decides to face them head on, she’s unsure if she can cope with how different she is, but soon realises that she’s stronger than she ever thought she was.

Interview with Gage from It Started in Texas
I put out a cal for interview questions for the gorgeous Gage Weston from my rockstar romance, It Started in Texas. I didn’t get as many as I’d hoped, but the ones I did get were fantastic.
Here goes – beware there may be spoilers if you haven’t read the book:
Hi Gage, how’s things going?
Hey darlin’, things are great. Charlie and the kids are
great and the band are doing so well.
That’s great. I’m so pleased to hear that. So, now I’ve been
able to get you to sit still for than more 5 minutes, let’s get started…
Oh boy… this could be messy. *laughs nervously*
Celebrity kiss, marry, and avoid. Who and why (submitted by Tori)
First off, Charlie isn’t gonna see this is
she?
I make no promises.
Dangit. Well, let me think.
*goes quiet for a while*
Ok… Kiss – I’d have to say Angelina Jolie.
That woman is beautiful. Marry – If I
didn’t have Charlie, I’d say… uhm… ah… *fiddles with his wedding ring* Scarlett
Johansson. She’s just amazing in everything I’ve seen her in. Avoid – I hate
this, but I’d have to say any of the Kardashians. I have nothing against them
personally, but they’re kinda vapid, don’tcha think?
I do. And I think that even if Charlie did
see this, she’d respect your choices.
Thank you, ma’am.
What’s a show you’re binging at the moment?
We just recently finished watching You and
Umbrella Academy. Dang, those shows were amazing.
I agree. I loved them both too.
I think Charlie had a thing for Klaus, but
I’m confident in our marriage to not be jealous.
Yeah, Klaus was brilliant…
Ah man, not you too?
If you could have one thing in the world that you don’t have now, what would it be and why? (submitted by Laurie)
Ah, man. Laurie, why you gotta get deep
like this? *laughs*. Uhm… If I’m honest, with Charlie and the kids being
healthy, and a family I love and respect, I have everything I ever wanted or
need. However, a sick car wouldn’t hurt, haha.
Oh, what car would you buy?
Aw man. I’d kill for a Chevy ’67 Impala.
Oh, someone’s a Supernatural fan?
Hell yeah. That’s show’s the bomb!
Not gonna disagree. I’m totally #TeamDean
I’m #TeamCastiel.
If you and the band were trapped in the zombie apocalypse, who would be the first to die? (submitted by Sarah)
*laughs hysterically for a full five
minutes*
Matt, without a doubt. Even with Karina to
protect his ass.
I can see it.
*more laughing*
This or That:
Coke or Pepsi – Pepsi
Cats or dogs – Both
Tea or coffee – coffee, all day
Books or music – music
Film or TV – film
Pancakes or waffles – pancakes
Text or call – text
Chocolate or vanilla – both
Well, that’s all I have. Thank you so much for sitting down
with me, it’s been too long.
It really has sweetheart. Thanks for havin’ me.

If you would like to read more about Gage, feel free to check out It Started in Texas on Amazon.

Plans are in the works…

If you follow me over on Facebook, you may have noticed a poll I have going on my page – if you don’t follow me over there, click on the link. I think there’s about a day left on the poll.
I will slowly be introducing character interviews to this site, just for a bit of fun. If you have a character in one of my books that you’d like to know more, leave a comment on this post, and maybe you’ll hear from them soon.
Once the poll on Facebook closes, I will be giving my reader group the first chance to submit questions to be answered, so if you’d like to be involved in that, click here and request to join my Inner Circle.

Ladz: Owen
A while back, I started writing the first in a series about a boyband who rise to fame via a reality TV talent show. Yeah, I know it sounds familiar to the One Direction story, but I’m trying to make it different as much as I can.
I want to write it to show some of the things that these lads go through – the constant working, the media attention (good and bad), and the insane attention from fans, particularly on Social media. I will admit, being a One Direction fan (judge me lol) has seriously inspired me to write this series as some of the things I have seen fans say about them was amazingly sweet and heartwarming (especially when they were going through really bad times in their personal lives), the fans have raised so much money for charity in the name of the guys, and been generally supportive. Then, there’s the other side of the fandom.
Some ‘fans’ are absolutely appalling. They are disgustingly rude and inappropriate in comments on Twitter and Instagram, they demand attention from the guys, and try to force others to do the same and see things that aren’t there. Because of sites such as Twitter, fans have a whole new sense of ‘ownership’. (That’s not quite the right word, but I’m going with it.) Because the guys were always so open in their interaction with fans on Twitter, and open about their personal lives on Instagram, many fans took this to believe they constantly deserved more. The demands for attention from their idols became insane and crass, the request for follows lost their sweetness and endearing qualities, and in general, there was a sour tone across the fandom. This cause some of the band members to withdraw from social media, which made things worse, but I don’t blame them for doing so. The air of “we made them famous, we deserve more” was strong in the fandom.
Along with the insane positivity, I wanted to show the different sides to fame (as I see it) and how it could affect the person in the public eye.
As I started writing, I automatically thought about publishing the book, but was unsure how to market it as it doesn’t fall under any of the usual umbrellas I write under. I left it sitting (unfinished) on a USB stick for almost a year before I decided to post it over on Wattpad. I hoped to get honest feedback, and to get the impetus to finish the book and move on to the next in the series.
So far, six chapters have been posted, and I would love more feedback (don’t we all?). If you’d like to read it, click on the picture below (designed by the amazing Clare Dugmore) to head over to Wattpad. Feel free to leave a comment telling me what you’ve liked and disliked so I can make notes on how to improve the story. I’m hoping to dive back into it soon to finish it, or at lease get more chapters written before I run out of content to post.
