17-Year-Old’s Quirky $20K/Month Side Hustle

An interview with Michael Satterlee
The business is SoleFully = 3D printed accessories for Crocs.
Michael says…
I started in 2023 after learning 3D printing in my design and drawing for production (DDP) class. I decided to buy a 3D printer and started researching product ideas.
I came across a story about someone making a lot of money selling snow plow attachments for crocs and realized there was a huge opportunity. I jumped on it and built an entire store around that niche…
TikTok and Instagram have been everything for me — that’s where all my marketing happens. I average around 50 million monthly impressions, and it’s 100% organic. I’ve never run paid ads, just consistent, creative content.
What niche or industry are you already familiar with?
Might 3D printed accessories work well there?
$500-1000 Monthly Passive Income From Skillshare Courses

Dan Prizont writes…
Content creation courses on e-learning platforms [are] 70% of my “passive” income now… they make money while I sleep. At the moment I publish 1-2 classes per year…
I just publish beginner courses about the things I know and/or are useful to me. If I try a new editing software or want to document how I do X or Y, I create a course for it.
Sounds like his main platform is Skillshare, see his classes here
These platforms also have a monthly newsletter showing which topics are in demand or trending. Tons of courses already exist about those topics, but you can bring your own twist or… update the style/info…
Some months I make $500 with my courses, some months $1000. It fluctuates quite a bit. The more courses you publish, the higher the chances of making more money.
His average course is ~30 minutes long with ~500 students, so you don’t need big numbers to earn some nice passive income here
Earning $33K/Month With Their Outsourced Cleaning Biz

An interview with Crystal and Steven, who run a remote cleaning business that earns $33K/month with a 40% profit margin …
Origin story…
We literally had zero dollars starting this from scratch, we were pretty much broke as a joke. I had a diesel repair company before and then that took a turn for the worst so we needed something with low overheads…
We didn’t have money for business cards so I printed up flyers and started walking around the neighborhood… I got a call that day and then Stephen and I started doing cleanings ourselves
After 5 months they’d earned $100,000
And along the way they figured out how to outsource a lot of the day-to-day.
They now have a team of cleaners doing the dirty work, and a VA handling much of the communication with cleaners and clients.
Great example of an unsexy, future-proof business that most people overlook.
And there’s demand for cleaning services everywhere

Zero to $10K/Month in 6 Months With His Copycat App

Six months ago I told you about Jack Friks making $100/month within 3 days of launching his social media scheduler tool
I wrote then that Jack’s tool could easily grow into something substantial.
A recent update
This guy makes $10,000/month with…
– an idea that’s already taken
– in an oversaturated market
– without adding AI features everywhere
– and he only started coding two years ago
A good reminder that you don’t need an original idea.
Meanwhile, Jack lays out the marketing strategy for his app in a tweet that begins…
1 hours a day spent marketing my app (making + posting 6 videos)
30,000 downloads with this routine last month, 100% free.
you too can grow any b2c app for absolutely free, no paid ads.
Copy Jack’s strategy and offer it as a service to help busy founders market their apps
Boss As A Service = $62,500 Per Month

Robin Vander Heyden tweets about Boss as a Service…
Probably the most creative productized service I’ve seen
• Hire a “boss” for $25/mo to keep you accountable
• 2500 customers
• Solo founder, profitable
2500 customers x $25/mo = $62,500 monthly revenue
(Assuming those are all current customers.)
Manasvini Krishna launched the project back in 2018.
How about doing a niche version of this for
Or find someone with an existing audience, offer to set up and run this kind of accountability service on their behalf.
Btw, this reminds me of My Body Tutor, a health and fitness accountability service that has 7500 customers x $399/mo = $3 million monthly revenue
Big money to be made helping people stay accountable.
Clever AI Hack To Sell A Service
Chris Koerner tweets…
1. Use Zillow’s API to scrape all homes that have been listed for 12+ months.
2. Use OpenAI’s API to display them with fresh paint.
3. Send the pic to the homeowner or agent with a price.
4. Sell the leads to a painting co, or start one yourself.
5. OR, start an agency that does this for home service businesses in any niche.
Landscaping, pools, roofing, tree trimming etc etc etc.
Why does this work?
It removes friction and the need to think. Don’t force your prospects to be creative or think. Show them what THEIR personalized final product looks like…
Show an overweight person exactly what they’d look like skinny. Before and after photos are already insanely effective
He includes some before/after photos generated with ChatGPT, the kind you could use for step two
Legislation & Tech Changes = $342 Million Opportunity

Steph Smith shares on a recent podcast…
At about the 30-minute mark she talks about Glassdoor, which earns an estimated $342M per year
Over the years, many people have submitted their salary info to Glassdoor and so they’ve built up a valuable database of that information, which is one of their primary traffic drivers.
But now many states require job postings to list salary info, and Steph spots an opportunity
I have not seen anyone aggregate this information in a meaningful way… Glassdoor has really limited data in my opinion… someone should be scraping these salaries off of different websites… and building up this database…
[Glassdoor] was great for the first version of the internet and now… there’s a change in legislation [and] the technology exists for someone to scrape this really easily and aggregate the information
Her 3-Hour Crash Course Earned $1 Million in 7 Months

Back in 2020, Sarah Michelle Boes passed her nurse practitioner (NP) exam
Afterwards she needed to earn some money for a dental procedure.
Per a recent report
Boes recorded a three-hour crash course on Zoom to help aspiring nurse practitioners pass their board exams. If she could make just $500, she told herself, it would be a game-changer.
She didn’t expect what happened next. Within two years, Sarah Michelle NP Reviews helped more than 40,000 students pass their NP exams with a 99% pass rate.
In the first seven months alone, Sarah Michelle earned $1 million in revenue from her course.
Then in 2022 she sold the business for an 8-figure sum (ie. $10+ million)
Have you aced any exams as an adult?
How about creating a course to help others do the same?
Alternatively, create a study guide and sell it on Amazon, like this $8790 per month example.

$1700/Month Monetizing a Small Home (not Airbnb)

Posted on Reddit…
I’ve been making around $1,700/month by renting out parts of my property…
I’m not letting people stay in my house or even come inside. It’s all about using the spaces I already have—like my driveway, garage, backyard, and pool—and turning them into income streams.
$150-200/month storing stuff…
I cleared out my attic and listed it on Neighbor for storage. People pay me to store their seasonal stuff, boxes, or even furniture.
$400-$600/month renting out the backyard…
I started listing my backyard on Peerspace for small events, photoshoots, and even yoga classes. I charge by the hour
$500-$800/month renting out the pool…
During the summer, I rent out my pool on Swimply. I charge $30/hour
His Job Board is Now Earning $5,000 Per Month

From a recent Gaps report
The founder of Real Work From Anywhere, a “fully location independent job board”, revealed the site is now consistently generating more than $5,000 each month…
Interested companies can post a job for $49 with the promise it will be featured on the site’s homepage for 30 days.
We featured founder Nithur Mahendran a few months back, when his job board was only 2 years old…
His 2 Job Boards Earned $5000 Combined in NovemberApparently it only costs him $6/month to run the site
How about building a job board for a different niche?
Or focused on a specific geo?
