SUPERNATURAL CREATURE or Mass Hysteria?

"My child saw a creature resembling a friend calling them to the field before they were struck by hysteria," said the mother of two students from Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Batu Kikir, Batu Kikir, who was struck by hysteria last Sunday.

The mother, who preferred not to be named, said that the incident was recounted by her two daughters.

The woman in her 40s said that her daughter did not recall the actual event, but when semi-conscious, she mentioned seeing a creature resembling her friend at the same location and calling her to the school field.

"At first, her friend screamed, then it spread to others, including my daughter, before each began to cry. Some suddenly vomited.

"Fortunately, her friend managed to hold her back from going to the field, and the situation was somewhat controlled with the help of teachers there.

"Medical practitioners (spiritual) also came to assist but to prevent the situation from worsening, the children were allowed to return home," she said on Wednesday. Read more at 'Creature resembling friend called them to the field before hysteria attack'

KILLER RAM Attacked Couple

A ram believed to be responsible for killing an elderly couple has been shot dead by New Zealand police.

The pair, in their 80s, were found dead by their son in a paddock attached to their home in Waitakere, rural West Auckland, the New Zealand Herald reported.

He had grown concerned after not hearing from them in the morning, a family spokesperson said.

Police attended the scene at 7.30am local time and confirmed the ram was in the paddock at the time of their visit.

The country's force said in a statement: "Another party at the scene suffered a minor injury after being attacked by this ram."

It added that its officers were "confronted and approached" by the ram.

Have you ever met someone who looked just like you? Perhaps you’ve walked up to a person you thought you knew only to find they were a stranger. If so, you may have met a real-life doppelgänger.
What is a doppelgänger? The word comes from German meaning “double goer.” Today, it’s often used to describe two strangers who look so much alike they could be twins. Seeing a doppelgänger can be startling. That’s true whether it’s a person who looks just like you or someone who could be your friend’s twin. It’s no wonder, then, that doppelgängers are also common in frightening stories.
Many times, a doppelgänger is the double of another character. They are like the character in many ways, most often in looks. However, the things that make them different are more important. The doppelgänger often differs from the main character in the values they hold. This results in them making choices that lead them down a different path. For example, “The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde” by Robert Louis Stevenson. In this story, both characters share the same body. However, they are opposites, with Dr. Jekyll representing good and Mr. Hyde evil.
There is also a historical attribute to this phenomenon. President Abraham Lincoln supposedly saw his doppelgänger when he saw two faces in the mirror on the night of his first election in 1860. The second face was pale and sickly, which his wife, Mary, interpreted as a sign of death or sickness during his second term. Only a few months after his second election, Lincoln was assassinated by John Wilkes Booth.

China's Bizarre GHOST MARRIAGE Tradition: Yeah, It's Exactly What You Think!

Several years ago, I wrote the following post about the 'Ghost Brides' tradition in China. I am reposting the information after receiving an explanation request from a reader.
A dead woman gets married off twice
In a shocking incident in China, a dead woman was found to be married off not once but twice.

A family sold their daughter's corpse for about $5,000 to a man who wanted to perform a marriage ceremony between two dead bodies. It is known as 'yin' marriage in China, reports Global Times.

After the wedding ceremony with a difference, the dead couple were buried in the same tomb. However, it was later discovered that the grave was dug up and the deceased bride's body was missing from the tomb.

The matter was immediately reported to the police and the investigating authorities found that a group of five men had stolen the corpse and sold it off to another interested party for an exorbitant amount for yet another yin marriage ceremony.

'Ghost Bride' Practice Continues in China
Five people have been arrested in China for digging up the corpse of a young woman to be a "ghost bride" for a man killed in a car crash.

The suspects included a grieving father who allegedly paid his four accomplices around 2,700 pounds to find a female to be his son's companion in the afterlife.

The men were caught after unearthing the remains of a teenage girl who had poisoned herself after failing her university entrance exams last year. In rural China, superstitious villagers have for centuries sought out the bodies of recently deceased women to be ghost brides for young men who die single.

Marriage ceremonies are conducted for the two corpses, and the bride is placed in the same grave as her husband.

Under Chairman Mao's rule, officials made strenuous efforts to stamp out the ghoulish practice but it has since resurfaced in some rural areas.

Last year, a gang in southern China was arrested for strangling young women to sell as ghost brides when the supply of female corpses in their area ran short.

The Ghost Brides of China

They are murdered to give dead bachelors a wife in the afterlife.

A ring of gangsters who traded in the bodies of women they murdered, selling them as brides to keep dead bachelors happy in the afterlife, has been arrested in China.

The arrests have exposed a trade that places a higher value on women when they are dead than when they are alive.

• Traditional Chinese belief holds that the living must tend to the wants and needs of dead relatives, who exist in an afterlife

• The tradition manifests itself in the burning of fake money or paper models of luxury goods

• It is believed by some that an unmarried life is incomplete, leading to the practice of ming hun — burying single sons with recently dead young women to provide them with a wife in the afterlife

• Parents of a dead daughter often regard the money received in selling her for ming hun as recompense for the dowry that they did not receive in her lifetime, while also posthumously elevating their child’s place in a patriarchal society

• Communist authorities tried to ban the practice, which dates from the Zhou dynasty (1122-256BC). It was also forbidden in the Book of Rites, texts that describe religious practices from the eighth to the fifth century BC

• Minghun survives mainly in the poor rural north, particularly in the remote plateau on the upper reaches of the Yellow River

Yang Dongyan, 35, was arrested in Sha’anxi province as he played cards with his children. In his prison cell, Yang showed little remorse for committing two murders. He told the Legal Daily: “I just wanted to make money. It’s a quick way to make money. I was arrested too soon otherwise I had planned to do this business a few more times.”

Two accomplices, Liu Shengbao and Hui Haibao, were also arrested, as was Li Longsheng, a self-styled undertaker who traded the bodies to bereaved families.

Zhang Yanjun, chief of police in Yanchuan County, said: “It’s lucky that the case was cleared up in time or we don’t know how many women would have been killed by them. These people thought they had found a shortcut to wealth.” Instead, they face the death penalty.

The men preyed on the superstitions of ill-educated farmers eager to ensure that a dead son was happy in the afterlife. It is not uncommon in rural parts of China for a family to seek out the body of a woman who has died to be buried alongside their son after the performance of a marriage ceremony for the deceased pair.

Ancestor worship is a tradition that runs through many aspects of Chinese life. One of the main Chinese festivals is Tomb Sweeping Day when families visit graves of their forebears to clean them and burn incense. The spirit is believed to live on in the afterlife and at funerals families burn offerings of paper money and models of houses, cars, and other little luxuries that the dead may need.

Yang chanced upon the trade in dead bodies when he paid 12,000 yuan (£800) for a mentally handicapped woman whose family hoped to marry her off for a price. The trade in women as wives is a common practice in rural China and a woman may be sold several times by intermediaries before meeting her eventual husband.

Yang arranged for the woman to stay in a guesthouse in Yanchuan County where Mr Liu offered him $1,310 for her. Yang refused until Liu told him the woman would be worth much more dead than alive. The next morning the two men set out across the Yellow River to meet “Old Li” in Xixian County, Shanxi province. Old Li agreed to buy the woman’s body for $2,067 and to complete the deal late at night on the Yanshuiguan Bridge.

The next day Yang killed the woman and took her body by taxi to the bridge where Mr Li was waiting and handed over $1,969 for her. For his part in the deal, Mr Liu received $590 and Yang came away with a loss of $394 after his expenses.

Back at the guesthouse, Yang told an old acquaintance, Hui, he had found an easy way to make money. The two men agreed to go into the body business together. Last November they sought out a prostitute they knew in nearby Yan’an — the city where Chairman Mao began his Communist revolution — but she threw them out after they said that they could not afford to pay her $40. They returned the next morning and killed her.

On December 3 they completed a similar body handover with Li on the bridge. This time they made only $1,043 because the buyer was unhappy with the quality of the body and, after costs, Yang and his two friends each earned $196 on that deal.

Old Li had made a name for himself in Xixian County by selling clothes to outfit the dead and by handing out cards that offered to help families in need of a spirit marriage. They want young and good-looking dead brides for their sons and regard the family of the girl as “in-laws”. Police discovered that Li paid between $1,043 and $1,300 for a body and sold it on for as much as $4,500.

BFRO Investigator Claimed Hitting BIGFOOT While Driving Near High Knob, Virginia (PHOTO)

The following account was retold on 'Finding Bigfoot' back in 2011. The incident occurred in Virginia. BFRO investigator Tyler Bounds from Washington reported that he had hit a Bigfoot while driving near High Knob, VA at around 2 AM:

"On the afternoon of Oct. 22, 2010, I had to go to an area 90 minutes away from our base and set up some bait stations. Due to a lack of communication, I had to return to the area later that evening and set up some more bait stations. This kept me out in a remote mountain area until 1:25am (I noted the exact time I left so the show's field coordinator would know how long it would take to go to and from the site, for scheduling purposes.)

As I left the gravel road and got onto a two-lane, curvy secondary road, I noted that it was very foggy, due to a large creek adjacent to the road, and because I was down in a hollow (or "holler", as the locals call them). After a few miles, I left the secondary road and turned onto a two-lane highway, still shrouded in fog. It was now 1:50am. As I was driving the rental Dodge Grand Caravan, I looked down for a moment to set the cruise control and get myself up to 55mph and was momentarily stymied by the number of glowing buttons on the steering wheel (remember, I had been hiking all day long, both in the daytime and at night, and had spent a great deal of time sitting on my butt, so I was fairly exhausted). Now, this is where things happened, very quickly.

As I looked up from the steering wheel back to the road, I noticed a large (as tall or taller than the van), upright, all-black "figure" stationary, on the centerline (or just to the right of the centerline). I say "noticed" a figure, but, in reality, as I looked up, I was right on top of it. The van shuddered, the driver's side mirror was forcefully folded into the vehicle, and I felt and heard the object hit the side of the van behind me, like a slapping sound.

I stopped the car, after some choice cursing and a lot of "what the f@#k?!?" and tried to look in the side mirror to see behind me, but the mirror had been cranked towards the van. I looked in the rearview, but the brake lights on the fog just obscured anything that may have been on the road. I then drove forward about 40 feet, turned the van around, and returned to the site. Only a handful of seconds had elapsed, maybe 10 to 12. There was nothing in the road, and no sign of anything having been in the road. No blood, hair, guts, etc. I drove a bit further, turned around again, and again returned to the site. Parking the van on the shoulder, I immediately grabbed a FLIR that I just happened to have on standby mode, and I thermed the area for 40-45 minutes while yelling out to whoever, or whatever I had hit. At that point, I was still thinking that I may have hit a person. Nothing answered, and there were no heat signatures anywhere."

COMMUNICATION FROM BEYOND? Unknown WRITING & SYMBOLS Appear on Bedroom Ceiling

A British experiencer details their unexplained account of high strangeness when a series of symbols or hieroglyphs appear on the ceiling of the bedroom. Was this a message?

I received the following inquiry:

"Hi Lon, my name is BA, age 65. I live in a small village situated on the banks of the River Humber in the east riding of Yorkshire. I had a strange experience in the early hours of this morning, which I would like to relate to you.

I went to bed last night feeling very tired, I usually nod off straight away as soon as my head hits the pillow, no problem there, but last night for some reason I found myself unusually wide awake, this was strange because as I said previously, I was feeling very tired. I tossed and turned into the early hours of the morning resigned myself to to the fact that I was not going to fall asleep. I’m a singer in a duo and was turning over various comedy scenarios I could integrate into our act. I was laid face down on the bed. I turned over onto my back, my eyes wide open gazing up at the ceiling. The room was totally dark, apart from a clock we have which projects the time onto the ceiling, the circumference of the projected light would be around 8 inches in diameter.

Gazing up at the ceiling, I couldn’t believe my eyes, I could only describe it as looking at a blackboard covered in strange symbols, like Egyptian hieroglyphics. I reached out for my glasses and put them on. The symbols were white, so clear and distinct, and covered the whole ceiling. I must add that I did not feel frightened at what I was observing. The only thoughts I had, were, was I supposed to understand this? It was as if a teacher had taken a stick of chalk and filled the ceiling with some form of equation. It was so clear and distinct, albeit there were no numbers or letters, just strange markings like triangles squares, and other shapes.

After gazing at and studying this scene for about 5 minutes or so, the symbols just started to fade away and the ceiling returned to total darkness. I was just left with the feeling that this was a form of language and it was a message, that I was supposed to understand. Has anyone else experienced anything of this type of experience I wonder. NOTE: I have been receiving more and more of these type of inquiries over the past few years or so. Has the veil between our universe and other dimensions thinned to the point that we are receiving information from the other side? Or is this an intentional attempt to communicate with other beings? What is a doppelgänger? The word comes from German meaning “double goer.” Today, it’s often used to describe two strangers who look so much alike they could be twins. Seeing a doppelgänger can be startling. That’s true whether it’s a person who looks just like you or someone who could be your friend’s twin. It’s no wonder, then, that doppelgängers are also common in frightening stories.
Many times, a doppelgänger is the double of another character. They are like the character in many ways, most often in looks. However, the things that make them different are more important. The doppelgänger often differs from the main character in the values they hold. This results in them making choices that lead them down a different path. For example, “The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde” by Robert Louis Stevenson. In this story, both characters share the same body. However, they are opposites, with Dr. Jekyll representing good and Mr. Hyde evil.
There is also a historical attribute to this phenomenon. President Abraham Lincoln supposedly saw his doppelgänger when he saw two faces in the mirror on the night of his first election in 1860. The second face was pale and sickly, which his wife, Mary, interpreted as a sign of death or sickness during his second term. Only a few months after his second election, Lincoln was assassinated by John Wilkes Booth.

Philadelphia, PA Suburban Experiencer Details UFO ENCOUNTER & POSSIBLE ABDUCTION

A Harleysville, Pennsylvania experiencer describes their UFO sighting and possible abduction. The experiencer also wonders why they weren't afraid throughout this incident.

I received the following account:

"Sometime in the middle of October 2010, I was up late playing computer games in my bedroom on the second story of my home here in Harleysville, Pennsylvania. I was getting tired around 12:30 am and decided to go to sleep around 1:00am. I fell asleep quite quickly in nothing but my boxers. Before I go into detail about the encounter I experienced, allow me to explain the layout of my room.

My bedroom is on the second story on the southwest end of my home. I have 3 windows in my room on the front face of the house and have access to both the attic and the only fire escape on the building. This house used to be an old office building in which my bedroom was one of the offices used. My actual bed is located in the southwest corner next to a window and directly next to the fire escape door. This door has no handle on the outside and only a bar release on the inside similar to what you would find on the inside of a school entrance door or office building. The door also has a 1.3x1.3 foot window in the top center. The actual fire escape on the outside of the door is nothing more than a metal platform and railing leading down the side of my house with metal stairs. I often use this to have a cigarette when I am at home since smoking inside the house is forbidden by the landlord. This goes to say I am quite familiar with what the scenery on the outside of my home looks like in this location.

I awoke on this day around 3 am based on the dark of night outside, however, when I awoke I was already outside on my fire escape platform. I had not been dreaming as far as I could tell since everything was as it was when I was awake, and have had many vivid almost lucid dreams in the past, and I can tell you this was not that sensation. I was very groggy and confused as to how I had walked in my sleep. I have not sleepwalked since I was about 8 years old, and at this time I was 19 almost 20. I almost immediately noticed something very very large above me after this initial confusion, and took quick notice of my door being closed behind me leaving no way of re-entering my home.

As soon as I noticed this, however, I felt the urge to look at this large object hovering above me. As I looked up I noticed it was sort of rounded in shape but had many many lights on the underside of it. It was directly above me so I had no view of the sides of the object. The lights were a very very bright white. Nothing like any fluorescent bulb I have ever seen. These lights were flashing without any pattern it seemed and were located all over the underside of the object in rectangular and very long trapezoidal shapes. The object had to have been at least 250 feet in diameter, possibly larger.

The underside of the object also had many things jutting out from it with these lights on it as well, but I took firm notice of one in particular. There was this large piece with the lights on the side of it coming out from the right of the object. Its shape was like an upside-down cone with the end cut off. It resembled an air filter for a high-performance engine in a car. It had symmetrical lights all around its sides that were identical to the ones on the underside of the object, however, the bottom of this piece jutting out was a very dark gray-black color.
When I first looked up, the lights were so blinding that I had to shield my eyes with one hand to see they were flashing and their shapes and locations. I observed all of this within less than 90 seconds before I became very disoriented. I forgot what I was doing, where I was at, and who I was. Almost as if these lights were inducing an acute case of amnesia. The last thing I can remember before passing out was the strange sensation of floating. I had never experienced this before, but it was as if I were suddenly weightless. My feet were no longer touching the cold metal platform and I was no longer shielding my eyes. As soon as I was blinded by the lights that were flashing I seemed to lose consciousness, unless the lights caused me to forget everything leaving me no memory of anything afterwards.

Throughout these short minutes, the object made absolutely no sound. It was as if it was making everything around it completely quiet. If you have ever heard the saying "Silence is Deafening," I would have to agree, that there were no sounds made after I noticed the object above me. This was extremely strange since my home is on a main road, and relatively close to the Pennsylvania Turnpike. Hearing not even the sound of a cricket chirp or the hum of the highway was definitely weird. I also remember the silence being almost suffocating. It felt very heavy as if it were making the air thick like soup.

In my short, and very close observation, I remember the object being about 20 to 40 feet above me, the space in between my house, and the neighbor's house, and the tree in between the front of our homes was blocking out a portion of this large object. There was no wind as if Time had stopped in its tracks. This is all simply speculation, but it was what it seemed to me.

After I lost consciousness, it got extremely bizarre. I remember waking up without any senses except for my sight and sense of balance. I was lying down with my eyes looking upwards towards what seemed to be a ceiling. My eyes were not working correctly though. It was as if I had been administered eye drops that you would get at the doctor to dilate your pupils. Everything was very blurry and distorted. I remember very little, but I do remember everything was a green/brown/gray color around me. I also remember seeing strange objects above me that appeared to be tools or examination equipment, none of which seemed to be created by humans. It was very very blurry though so it was hard to tell if that was exactly what it was.

I then remember a figure moving into view above me. I was unable to move at all, and my vision was very poor so I could discern nothing about this being other than it seemed a little taller than I am and it had appendages like a human being (arms, torso, head, legs, etc.). It did not speak to me, however, I seemed to hear a voice in my head. It was much less a voice than it was a feeling or emotion being conveyed. The very last thing I can remember was feeling very calm as if this being was trying to help me in some sort of way. The "trying to help you" feeling I received was much less about me in particular, but more of a "you" as in "your race." I then saw one of the objects above me move slightly, and I lost consciousness again.

When I came to I was sitting on the edge of my bed. My bed was made very neatly as if I had never laid down at all that night. When I looked at my alarm clock, the time was about 4:45 am. I tried to remember how I got there, but nothing came to mind. I tried to sleep, but my thoughts were buzzing faster than I could even keep up with. I could not sleep no matter how hard I tried that night. The only thing I kept asking myself was, "Why wasn't I scared or afraid throughout this entire experience?"

I am not trying to garner attention in any way shape or form with this.. This is why I am choosing to remain anonymous. I just hope that maybe this can help somebody understand things a little better, even if I can not understand any of this myself.

I always thought the UFO phenomenon was a bunch of crap before this experience. Since this experience, I have been haunted, and have wanted to tell somebody but have always been too afraid of being called a crackpot. The only person I have ever told this story to is my best friend, and he is probably the only person who will ever know who I am and what I witnessed. I have witnessed a few other strange occurrences that happened after this account I have just given you, but they are far less important I think.

Since October 2017, The Black Vault has hunted documentation on what was first described as a “sensitive aerospace threat identification program” that investigated “unidentified aerial technologies”. Later in December 2017, this program was identified as the “Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program” or “AATIP” by the NY Times, and described as the “Pentagon’s Mysterious U.F.O. Program”. But controversy quickly followed when the Department of Defense (DoD), throughout 2018 and 2019, changed their story multiple times on whether or not AATIP had studied UFOs, and whether Luis Elizondo, the man who claimed to have run it, actually did.

Frustrated by the Pentagon’s stance about his job duties, Elizondo sent an email on June 5, 2019, to the Public Affairs office of the DoD with the hopes they would alter their statements. Proof of this correspondence was released in FOIA case 21-F-0938, and published in The Black Vault in March 2022.

Although the recipient is redacted for privacy reasons, it was likely Christopher Sherwood, a spokesperson who at that time, released statements about Elizondo and AATIP. Read more at AATIP and the Pentagon: The Struggle Over UFO Program Records

UFO Cover-Up or Political Rhetoric?

Following a classified briefing on unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAPs), more commonly known as UFOs, Rep. Tim Burchett (R-Tenn.) suggested Wednesday that the U.S. government may be intentionally concealing information on these objects from the American public.

“I think there’s a cover-up,” Burchett told Blake Burman on NewsNation’s “The Hill.”

“There are tens of millions of dollars that we’ve spent investigating these things. We’ve had departments tell us that they have recovery units, but they won’t release full reports. Everything’s covered up,” Burchett added.

This is not the first time Burchett has accused the Pentagon of withholding information from Congress that would prove the existence of extraterrestrial life.

After a series of explosive hearings last summer in which several whistleblowers alleged the government was hiding intel on an ultra-high-tech craft of foreign or even extraterrestrial origin, Burchett requested the inspector general of the intelligence community investigate these claims. FULL MOON 'MADNESS' Is Real!

Can hospitals see a bad moon a-risin’?

It’s long been a superstition within the medical community that nights of a full moon bring an unwelcome and unpredictable surge in emergency room chaos in hospitals across the country.

“Everybody talks about it,” Dr. John Becher of Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and formerly AtlantiCare in Atlantic City, New Jersey, told The Post ahead of Tuesday’s full moon.

“Sometimes [hospital workers] come in at 7 p.m. and say, ‘Better brace up, you know it’s full moon,’ in expectation, it’s going to happen. And sure enough, it does.”

SCREAMING PHANTOM of Wolfe's Woods, Granger, Indiana

I received the following submission from a reader. In the Spring of 1963, a family is suddenly awakened by the screams of a woman coming from Wolfe's Woods.

"My family and I lived off State Rd 23, two 1/4 mile from the Edwardsburg, Michigan state line in Granger, Indiana. Our house was just down from what "we" called Dead Man's Curve. There were a lot of accidents there, usually in the Spring and Winter.

In the spring of 1963, at about 3:30 AM, we all were awakened by a woman screaming "Help Me! Help Me!" My Mother, Grandparents and I all met in the living room. The woman's voice was very loud, we all assumed there had been another car accident up on the curve. It was extremely foggy that night, so much so you could not see more than four to five feet in front of you. My Grandfather grabbed a flashlight and headed out to the woods across the road to search for the woman in distress. In the meantime, she is still screaming "Help Me!"

My mother called my uncle who lived just down the road. He too joined in the search and heard the woman's screams. After a good 15 minutes, my Grandfather came back to call the County Sheriff's Dept to send a car out. One car came, then two, then three. They combed the woods in search of the woman's voice slowly became weaker & weaker, finally as the sun came up, her voice had completely faded. They never found her, a car, or any evidence of any kind.

I remember standing in our driveway hearing the police officers telling my Grandfather that this was best kept quiet, and not to tell anyone because no one would believe this. They decided they were not going to file a report, even though they too had heard the screams. My grandfather searched the woods every day for weeks to see if he could find any signs of any kind, but nothing was ever found. We moved out of that area in 1976 after my grandmother died, and I often wonder if the people who live in the old brick house ever hear the screams of an unknown woman on foggy spring nights.

I swear this is a true story. The only thing I am not positive about is the year since I was just a kid when it happened. It could have been as early as 1961, but no later than 1964. This was not a dream or figment of my imagination. It was talked about at the dinner table for quite some time after as a child, it was a pretty frightening experience and was very upsetting to my grandparents as well. Everyone was baffled, including the Sheriff and his Deputies.

The property was owned by Mrs. Wolfe who lived down State Rd. 23. Wolfe Woods was a small wooded area that divided Adams Rd & State Rd 23. It was kind of triangular shaped & Birch Rd intersected at the East end of the property in Granger, Indiana." - KLR

The Granger, Indiana, and greater St. Joseph County, Indiana area seems to have a fair amount of paranormal lore. The following quote describes one of the events:

"I will never forget the experience my best friend and I had 30 years ago when I was 15 yrs old. I was staying the night at her house (She lived on Dead Man's Curve) . It was just before dusk when we decided to hang out in her back yard and have a camp fire and roast some marshmallows. As we were gathering up twigs and wood for a fire, she looked up, pointed to a tree about 20 feet from us, and ask me ''whats that''. As I looked at the tree, I saw a man hiding behind the tree staring at us. No sooner did I see him from behind the tree when instantly there he stood 2 feet in front of us. I thought it was a real man. I was terrified and screamed at the top of my lungs. When I did, he disappeared instantly...right before our eyes. I can still visualize every detail of him. He was a man in his mid 50's. He had curly dark salt/pepper hair and dark eyes. He was wearing a white t-shirt and brown pants with black work boots. I remember his face having razor-stubble as if he hadn't shaved in about 3-5 days. The scariest thing was that one minute he was right there in front of us and after I screamed...bam! Gone. My friend witnessed the exact features. Since that incident (30 yrs ago) there have been many deaths there. I have had many people tell me that they see a young woman in white standing at the bottom of the dip. People have seen sightings of ghosts near the blinking lights. When the earliest pioneers traveled into the wilderness of St. Joseph Valley, they had to contend with three dangers...beasts, savages, and disease. The following excerpt describes a bit of the latter:

"One of the greatest obstacles to the early settlement was the "chills and fever", "fever and ague", or "shakes", as it was variously called. It was a terror to newcomers; in the fall of the year almost everybody was afflicted with it. It was no respecter of persons; everybody looked pale and sallow as though he were frost-bitten. It was not contagious, but derived from impure water and air, which are always developed in the opening up of a new country of rank soil like that of the Northwest. The impurities continue to be absorbed from day to day, and from week to week, until the whole body corporate became saturated with it as with electricity, and then the shock came; and the shock was a regular shake, with a fixed beginning and ending, coming on in some cases each day but generally on alternate days, with a regularity that was surprising. After the shake came the fever, and this "last estate was worse than the first". It was a burning-hot fever, and lasted for hours. When you had the chill you couldn't get warm, and when you had the fever you couldn't get cool. It was exceedingly awkward in this respect; indeed it was. Nor would it stop for any sort of contingency; not even a wedding in the family would stop it. It was imperative and tyrannical. When the appointed time came around, everything else had to be stopped to attend to its demands. It didn't even have any Sundays or holidays; after the fever went down you still didn't feel much better. You felt as though you had gone through some sort of collision, thrashing-machine or jarring-machine, and came out not killed, but next thing to it. You felt weak, as though you had run too far after something, and then didn't catch it. You felt languid, stupid and sore, and was down in the mouth and heel and partially raveled out. Your back was out of fix, your head ached and your appetite crazy. Your eyes had too much white in them, your ears, especially after taking quinine, had too much roar in them, and your whole body and soul were entirely woe-begone, disconsolate, sad, poor and good for nothing. You didn't think much of yourself, and didn't believe that other people did, either; and you didn't care. You didn't quite make up your mind to commit suicide, but sometimes wished some accident would happen to knock either the malady or yourself out of existence. You imagined that even the dogs looked at you with a kind of self-complacency. You thought the sun had a kind of sickly shine about it." - A History of St. Joseph County, Indiana

Have you ever met someone who looked just like you? Perhaps you’ve walked up to a person you thought you knew only to find they were a stranger. If so, you may have met a real-life doppelgänger.
What is a doppelgänger? The word comes from German meaning “double goer.” Today, it’s often used to describe two strangers who look so much alike they could be twins. Seeing a doppelgänger can be startling. That’s true whether it’s a person who looks just like you or someone who could be your friend’s twin. It’s no wonder, then, that doppelgängers are also common in frightening stories.
Many times, a doppelgänger is the double of another character. They are like the character in many ways, most often in looks. However, the things that make them different are more important. The doppelgänger often differs from the main character in the values they hold. This results in them making choices that lead them down a different path. For example, “The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde” by Robert Louis Stevenson. In this story, both characters share the same body. However, they are opposites, with Dr. Jekyll representing good and Mr. Hyde evil.
There is also a historical attribute to this phenomenon. President Abraham Lincoln supposedly saw his doppelgänger when he saw two faces in the mirror on the night of his first election in 1860. The second face was pale and sickly, which his wife, Mary, interpreted as a sign of death or sickness during his second term. Only a few months after his second election, Lincoln was assassinated by John Wilkes Booth.

Pickens, WV Couple Freaked Out by 4 BLACK-EYED KIDS in Local Park

A couple are out at night in a local Pickens, West Virginia park when they are approached by 4 black-eyed kids. The couple freaks because of the bizarre situation. It has affected the couple since.

I received the following account:

"I encountered the black-eyed kids over a decade ago in rural Appalachia. This has always disturbed me. My boyfriend and I keep in touch to this day, but we've never brought it up again.

We were at a local/state park sort of place in Pickens, West Virginia between 9 pm-10 pm. I remember we were parked alongside the woods and there were some picnic tables. It was pretty desolate. We were technically trespassing (we were both 17 years old) and what we were doing there you can leave to your imagination.

As our curfews were approaching and we were finishing up our time together we experienced a very ominous feeling. He was in the driver's seat preparing to start the car and pull off. The car doesn't start. We sort of laughed it off as it wasn't the first time and talked.

Suddenly to the right (passenger side where I was sitting) we see faint lights coming out of the woods. The ominous feeling intensified. Emerging from the woods there are 4 children. They were younger than us, appearing to be 8-11 years old.

It was very dark, but I can say that their eyes were black, each one of them, and they were not normal. They didn't belong. The cabins at the park were not occupied. They weren't even getting rented out as it was Autumn. We were miles from the park's hotel. There were no adults. They were absolutely out of place.

What were the lights? The closest thing I can compare them to glow sticks is if they had opened a package of those novelty glow sticks that include bracelets, necklaces, or wands. But it wasn't like they were having fun or goofing off.

They just stopped, stood there, and stared at us. He tried asking what they were doing here. Were they lost? Where are their parents? No response. The oldest-looking boy (a bit heavy set with a grey hoodie on) approached the vehicle just in the front where the passenger headlight/corner would be.

My friend started really freaking out at this moment. He locked the doors and was like "Hell no! We gotta go!" Eventually, the car started. The children don't move and the kid stays put in front of the car. My friend eventually yells to the kid, "I'm going run you over!" The boy slowly backed away, raised his arm, and pointed at us as we were leaving. I didn't look back." A

Phoenix Man Encounters TALL, SKINNY INSECTOID in Desert (VIDEO & SKETCH)

A Phoenix, Arizona man is out in the nearby desert late at night. As he sat in his truck, a tall, skinny insectoid walked up to him. Later, the incident details become more strange.

The following information was referred to me:

"It's 2015 and I was in the Southwest USA (outside of Phoenix, Arizona) in the desert camping. It was about 2am and I was still in the truck cab eating pistachios and tossing the shells out of the open window. Huge full moon behind me at about 2 o'clock in the sky I was watching it in the rearview mirror. The moon was so bright I could read by its light.

All at once a tall being walked about 6 feet behind my truck and stopped. I turned around and looked out of the opened back window. It was about 8 feet tall, very skinny, with long arms with elbows below its waist area, foot long skinny neck, oval head that had what looked like a 4-foot beard or tube hanging from its lower face. I couldn't make out the feet or hands. It was walking like it was struggling, like if you walk in a swimming pool with the resistance of the water. As it stopped it barely moved its shoulders but that freakish long neck turned the big head at me. I don't know if it saw me in the truck. I froze. it then turned its head forward and continued walking. It was bizarrely thin, like an insect. I got scared thinking it's so thin it's hungry. I took off after it passed by my truck, camping equipment in the back of my truck flying to the side of the dirt road as I drove.

I went back 4 months later in the daylight. I found the pile of pistachio shells so I knew the exact spot where I was. I saw nothing unusual. I drove around a bit, it was a nice day and found a place that looked like a good hiking spot. As I got out of the truck, maybe about 3 in the afternoon I heard diesel engines struggling to dig, like backhoes, earth movers, dump trucks dumping a load and banging the scooper to unload all the dirt, trucks backing up with the beep, beep sound but there was nothing around. I was in the middle of nowhere on a dirt road, with no other cars around for miles. I couldn't figure out where the digging noise was coming from but wondered. I got on my hands and knees and listened to the ground. It was coming from under the desert landscape. I was standing on where the digging was coming from.

As I stood up I saw two very shiny white pickup trucks facing the front of my truck, onyx black windows. they were so shiny the sun reflecting on them hurt my eyes. Driving in the desert piles of dust would be on a truck, these looked like they just came off a showroom. I got scared, I guess they saw me listening to the ground and I suppose I wasn't supposed to hear that sound. As I got back in my truck I saw two more white trucks exactly the same behind me, facing me. I drove off looking if they were following me, they weren't.

As I got to the nearest road my heart sank as there were two more of the same trucks waiting for me at the intersection, facing each way so whichever way I was going one truck would be right behind me. As I got on the road the truck behind me followed me right on my bumper. I was going 90 MPH and the truck was right behind me, the other truck then was trying to pass me, I was swerving two lanes to keep it from passing me. I came up to an exit to some buildings and decided to give it a shot and exited. At the same time, the two trucks slowed down, made a U-turn, and went back. I continued to note how shiny the two trucks were. My eyes were hurting from the sun reflecting on them. The one behind me kept upright on my bumper and the other sped up to overtake me but slowed when I swerved both lanes.

They could have taken me out in the desert and no one would have found me or my truck, but they didn't. Did they want to kill me on the road? I don't know, but I was terrified to go home thinking they'd be there, but I never saw them again and NEVER went back!

My thought is that I discovered a government installation being built, maybe for national security. So I keep that location to myself. It might be very important to keep their location unknown. My other thought. Why chase me when that giant insect-like being was walking around a few months prior about 4 miles from where I heard the digging sound? Is that location ET/Human/Government? I'm still scared stiff, not talked about it at all till lately. I reported my two sightings to MUFON. I did not tell them about the site where the digging was going on. I'm very curious what's going on out there, but, I won't return." T

SKUNK APES Are Real! I Saw It With My Own Eyes!

A teen and his family move into a house near Wekiva Springs State Park, Florida. After a while, he and his brother encounter a 'big, black hairy person' that was swinging from a tree.

I received the following account:

"This encounter happened when I was 15 years old back in 1993. We had just moved to an area called Wekiva Springs, Florida, and our house was built brand new and was on the edge of Wekiva Springs State Park. It was still wild enough at that time that we could only take the trash out 30 minutes before the truck came due to the black bears that still ventured into the neighborhood. The deer population is off the charts and to this day you will see dozens throughout the day randomly in the neighborhood. Wild turkeys, wild pigs, bobcats you name it.

Our home sat perfectly on the one lake in the area and as I said just months prior the lot was just woods. At that time we did not have any neighbors or houses to our left or right although the front of the neighborhood had been built out 20 years prior.

At that time I had heard of Bigfoot but by no means was it a daily thought or even in my interests. When I would get home from school I would walk back into the woods maybe 1000 yards and explore and one day I noticed a spot to plant a pot plant. I had just gotten into smoking a joint here and there and had the bright idea of trying to grow my own plant.

I became very familiar with the square mile around my home and grew quite comfortable venturing out there sometimes returning at dusk. One day while going to check on my failed project of growing a marijuana plant I saw my younger brother who was 11 exiting the patio door about 50 yards behind me. I wasn't entering the woods yet but saw he was trying to sneak and follow me back there. I decided to play along and acted like I didn't know he was following.

As I was walking I would hear him occasionally behind me and I would stop suddenly just to make sure. As I got deeper into the woods I noticed it was much calmer than normal. Keep in mind I had been going back here 5 times a week for a couple of months at this point. There was not much else to do. I didn't see any deer or squirrels and in hindsight, there weren't even any wind or birds. I remember this well because I could hear my brother surprisingly well almost too much so.

I thought it would be funny if I turned the prank around on him and hid behind a tree and jumped out and scared him when he passed by. It had been about 5 minutes of walking back and we were deep enough in to really scare him.

I found my tree, stopped all movement, and waited. I figure he was only 45 seconds or so behind. As I waited I realized now there was no sound almost as if I had earplugs in but this meant. Nothing to me at the time other than observation. I heard my brother getting close and didn't realize how loud he was. He must be only 20 feet back around the turn any second I will see him.....except I never did the footsteps suddenly stopped and now I was in the weird position of just sitting there behind the tree . 2 minutes passed and now I was getting curious and wondered what had happened to him. Or did he just realize what I was doing and was going to scare me?

I finally decided to take a look I went around the corner and could see back a good way and saw nothing. This was impossible because I had heard him following me the whole time and didn't hear anything after I got behind the tree which meant he literally disappeared.

The woods were now suddenly creepy and I got a very anxious feeling for the first time ever that day. My head said to go home now but for some reason, I couldn't seem to get my bearings. I literally was lost. I calmed down and figured out the way back on the trail even though I never left it. It was like my equilibrium was off.

At this point, my younger brother was nowhere to be seen and I was genuinely concerned considering he was just feet behind me a few minutes prior. I was yelling his name and started jogging back towards the direction of my home. After a couple of minutes, I finally heard his voice he was hiding under some palmetto leaves that he had laid across his body off the side of the trail, just lying on the ground.

I didn't know what to think but I said get up right now and still have the weird feeling that I've had for the last 5 minutes he got up and I asked him what was happening and what was going on. He just said, "Please, just run! Run to the house with me!" I didn't ask questions and ran back with him.

Once we got to the backyard he said that he had been following me when all of a sudden he smelled something horrible and looked to his left and said he saw a big black hairy person thing (sorry not trying to offend anyone that's just what he said). Me being a little paranoid because I was illegally growing a pot plant. "What was it, a cop? What do you mean?" He repeated that it was a big person with hair all over them and it scared him so badly that he just fell to the ground and rolled into the palmetto bushes and just sat there frozen until I found him. At that moment we heard a loud bang, bang, bang, and a weird scream from the woods behind us.

We both looked and sure enough, hanging from a tree about 50 yards behind us and swinging from a large branch was the thing he was talking about. If I didn't know better it looked like a human being mimicking a large monkey swinging from a branch. It just made no sense and was completely out of place. Clear as day this was a large burly thing that looked more like a person than anything else.

We both sat there not knowing what to do the thing swung off the branch into the woods and was out of sight but was hollering the whole time. We immediately ran all the way to the house yelling for Mom and Dad to tell them what we saw.

At first, we got the whole, "Oh, it was just a bear. It was a bear." But eventually, later that night, I think they realized we were serious and the next day my Dad was able to find a report that in Florida there were encounters with something called a Skunk Ape.

Over the next 5 years I would continue to have run-ins with this thing and 2 times we had a deer leg and skull put in our backyard. Once I had turkey feathers put on my window sill. I didn't know anything about what that meant and only later as I researched the subject did I learn about that.

Every 6 months or so the park rangers would have to come to our home and put a barrel in our yard with a donut to capture the black bears that were too comfortable coming to the neighborhood. After seeing the same ranger for the third time I felt comfortable enough to ask him what he did with the bears once he got them. He just said that they move them to deeper parts of the park or all together relocate them and extreme cases and then said but that's not what you need to worry about. I asked him what he meant and he just said there were things bigger and worse than bears out in the woods and to always be careful.

I remember that to this day and kind of understand what he meant after having had that experience and knowing that there was indeed something else out in those woods behind my home.

Today my parents still live in that same home and I go visit from time to time. My dad being retired has nothing but time and he's actually grown to be a believer himself and over the years has a few experiences of his own including orbs.

The house is about 15 minutes from downtown Orlando but in an area that is surprisingly untouched by humans as I said it's a protected state park and the home is right on the edge of where the park begins. I think when the home was built we disturbed probably where this thing was staying or its general area and then it's more homes were built it got pushed further back but at that time was still coming in fairly close.

It's not a crazy insane encounter or dangerous or thrilling but nonetheless, it was real. I saw it with my own eyes and then had follow-up experiences. So now I'm just trying to learn all about these things." A
