Responses to the 1981 Chicago 'Mothman' Incident

Hey folks...I appreciate the multitude of messages and emails in reference to the 1981 Chicago 'Mothman' interview post. It seemed to strike a nerve with many people. Here are 2 of the emails I received:

Lon: After reading this most recent chapter in the "Mothman" saga, my opinion is that the entity may not be predicting a future horrific event, per se, but perhaps is drawn to an area/people who have (for lack of a better term that I can come up with) unsettled vibrations. In other words, I believe our emotions are reflected in our vibrations. If there is an intensity of emotions, I believe this would be reflected in the vibrations we radiate and this may be what attracts the entity/entities.

Although it may not actually be a portent of any unsettling events in the future, I can't help but think the entity is drawn to disruptive vibrations from both the living beings (such as humans, animals, etc.) as well as vibrations from the earth itself. The 1981 Chicago account seems to bear this out.

I just read the 1981 Mothman account and it reminded me of the story you printed from that woman whose father was called down to the Mt. Pleasant area at the time of the Mothman sightings. Remember, the woman was a little girl and that strange creature with the orange chicken feet came out of the forest and telepathically spoke to her, asking her if her father had ever hurt her.

I got the feeling from that that there was something going on in her family and that this creature was angry with her father for whatever he was doing to her. She was, I believe, an abused child and this creature was concerned about her. In the 1981 event, the boy was approached by a like creature, maybe from concern about the boy's abuse.

Does this match any ideas you have on what this mothman or mothmen is and what he/they is here for? NH

Jefferson City Flying Cryptid

Hello,

I have a small tidbit of a "sighting" of something that may or may not have been the being described by so many around the world at different points in time, the Mothman.

My girlfriend and I saw the 'Mothman Prophecies' at the movie theater when it came out way back when.

The next day she and I were driving up a road situated in the middle of Jefferson City, Missouri when this "birdlike" thing that resembled the "birdlike" thing in the movie that I believe was supposed to have caused the car accident bounced off of my windshield. It didn't look like any kind of bird or any other kind of thing I had ever seen.

Right when the thing hit my windshield, my girlfriend cried, "Whoa!"

And it was odd because the first thing I thought of after it happened was that it reminded me of the birdlike thing in the movie. And just after she cried, "Whoa!" my girlfriend said, "That looked like the thing in the Mothman Prophecies."

It's not the 7ft humanoid creature with red eyes and wings, but...I don't know what to think.

I didn't look back to see what happened to whatever it was that hit the windshield and didn't stop to look either. Maybe I was too freaked out. Not sure.

Anyway. This happened in Jefferson City, Missouri heading up the big hill on Southwest Boulevard.

'Booms', FBI & MIB

I live in northern Erie County, PA. About a year ago in my town, my mother and I heard loud booms. This continued every night for about a week. My mother and I both dismissed them as fireworks until we looked where the booms were coming from and the sky was clear. No light and no smoke, but they sounded like they were going off in our side yard. When we got the chance to look in our yard the morning after the first set of booms (about four or five that night) there were no burnt marks in the yard.

One night, I believe was a Thursday, there were a large amount of the booms they lasted about three hours. We heard fire truck sirens around but nothing ever came of it. The month after that there were a lot of people seeing FBI vehicles and men in black type people. MH

1981 Chicago 'Mothman' Incident May Help Explain the Phenomenon

I was recently contacted by an eyewitness who, as a child of 13 years of age, had a remarkable encounter with a winged humanoid in Cicero, IL. The year was 1981 and the witness, who I will refer to as 'MR', experienced a life-changing event:

The witness MR contacted me by email and asked to speak by telephone. I instantly had the sense that this interview would be significant, so I requested MR call me at his earliest convenience. We were talking within 10 minutes.

MR introduced himself and immediately started to tell me his account. He prefaced his story by saying that he had not known of the winged humanoid sightings reported throughout the Chicago metro area, until he stumbled upon an article two days previous. He was stunned by the revelations in the article; dozens of sightings that closely resembled his encounter in Cicero in 1981. But MR's narrative was different, because his encounter with the winged humanoid altered his overall beliefs and perspective of the world.

MR was a 13-year-old boy in 1981 who, through his own description, had suffered terrible abuse during his young life. On this particular evening, like many previous evenings, he sought solitude in his backyard. For whatever reason, he was able to employ a self-taught form of meditation that helped him cope with the abuse by his parents. As he sat on the grass, he entered into a deep level of spiritual awareness that had become more heightened than he had ever remembered. He soon became aware of an unknown presence. As he exited his meditative state, he immediately noticed a pair of intense red eyes staring back at him from across the alleyway.

The being was standing against the neighbor's white garage, about 75 feet from where MR was sitting. It was a thin black human shape that stood 7-feet in height, when compared to the 4-foot high chained-linked fence at the end of his yard. There were wings folded on its back that extended above its long thin head. But those intense red eyes captured MR's concentration, to the point where he was literally paralyzed and frozen in place. The being was soon communicating with MR, in a telepathic form; more intent in garnering his attention than actually expressing information. The 5-7 minute experience was suffused with an assortment of emotions, that ranged from tranquility to terror. MR recognized that he was not dreaming or in a reflective state; this was actually occurring. That was the moment where his perspective of the world around him changed forever.

He never forgot the encounter, and it influenced his life; though he was reluctant to disclose the incident until he started college and became part of an environment that would pay attention to what he had to say and not judge his experience. But MR still did not understand why he was the recipient of the winged humanoid's scrutiny. Then one evening, while he and his wife were watching a video, MR began to appreciate and grasp what had happened to him in 1981.

'The Mothman Prophecies' is a theatrical film that was released in 2002. It is based on John Keel's book by the same title, even though the movie never really captured the full intensity of the book or the actual events that occurred in Point Pleasant, WV in 1966-67. Nonetheless, the film gave an overall impression of the story and some of the narrative that Keel expressed in the book. MR told me that he was sitting at home watching the video, when the car accident scene unfolded. The winged being suddenly came into focus and MR instantly went into sheer panic and uncontrollably burst into tears. His wife tried to comfort him, but he was beyond consolation. They continued to watch the video, but it was a terribly difficult experience for MR. Later that evening, he disclosed his boyhood encounter in detail with his wife. Since that time, he has not talked to anyone about the incident; until we talked today.

I would first like to state that my interview with MR was one of the most insightful I've experienced during my time as an investigator. We connected on a rare level, to the point where I could literally predict what he was going to say to me in each sentence. His experience confirmed to me that this phenomenon is not that of an indigenous being, but instead a flesh & blood extra-dimensional and/or extra-terrestrial entity that is either attracted to certain persons or summoned by specific forces. MR had no previous inclination of my theories, but rather defined what I have begun to believe during the course of the investigation.

He also brought up, and totally discounted, the general speculation by many that this was a harbinger of future events. I asked MR if he thought that, while he was in a state of meditation, the being could have possibly been a self-manifesting thought-form. He believes, that in his case, the being sought him out because of the abuse he had suffered through his parents. As he began to read the recent sighting descriptions in the Chicago metro area, he formulated that there may indeed be more than one winged being and that many of the witnesses came upon it by happenstance. But he also feels that some of the encounters occurred because the being sought out the witness for a specific reason. MR didn't sense that the winged humanoid was evil, but believes that it is an ancient being that has sought out others in the past, and that it is the venerable entity that people since have referred to as a 'demon.'

I forwarded my book Mothman Dynasty: Chicago's Winged Humanoids[image error] to MR in the hope that he may offer more information on this being. I'd like for him to read about the investigation that is detailed in the book, as well as understand the historical significance of this anomaly. It is my hope that MR's personal perspective may assist us in our continued desire to explain the winged humanoid phenomena. Lon

Did I Die...and Then Enter Into Another Reality?

“When I was 10 years old I experienced something extremely abnormal, strange, weird, all of those things put together. I don't know if this is a 'Mandela Effect.' I don't know if this is just a time slip, but I'm hoping that by sharing my experience maybe you could shed some light for me because again I'm ignorant to the 'Mandela Effect.' The really good thing is I actually have my best friend who witnessed this as well, so it kind of validates the fact that I'm not crazy. Here we go. Please help me.

I think I died. I don't know exactly what happened. My best friend lived directly behind me. We met when she was playing the recorder and I was playing my record in the backyard and then we kind of like, 'Hey, let's be best friends' because it's really easy to make friends when you're kid; not so much now. So we were jumping on her trampoline and I'd never really jumped on a trampoline before, you know. I was that kid that kind of always got hurt really easily, so I didn't really do a lot of active things. As I was jumping, I went really high, so high in fact, that I could see over her rooftop. It was amazing. And by the second jump where I could see over the roof, I realized I'm really, really up high. So I came back down a bit. I was going with such a force I couldn't quite slow down, you know, it takes a few jumps to kind of slow down. So I went up and somehow I accidentally flipped forward so I'm now hurtling towards the ground. Bum up, feet up in the air, head down and my hands like out in front of me. So during that flip, I had kind of moved to the side so I was falling towards the ground, like I wasn't going to land on the trampoline, I was gonna go to the ground. Literally, my feet were up in the air, my hands were like in front, so I had that moment of absolute horror and I just knew that was it. I thought I was gonna be paralyzed from the neck down or I was gonna die because I would have broken my neck. So I closed my eyes really tight and I screamed and then there was just silence.

I got goosebumps because this is really weird. There was just silence. I felt nothing. Suddenly I was kind of bouncing like really slowly, you know, when, you're just kind of resting on a trampoline and you're bouncing so I open my eyes...and I'm standing upright looking at my best friend and I'm just bouncing. Okay, this is me falling (upside down). This is me, suddenly, boom (standing straight up). I time-traveled. I'm Marty McFly, maybe? Maybe not? There's no logical explanation how I can be this far from the ground (mere inches). I kid you not, my hands with this far from the ground (inches) and then I am suddenly on the trampoline, upright, bouncing, like nothing had happened. And that my friend saw me, just appear and I looked around and I was really confused because I felt like this whole moment in time had just disappeared. And she just stares at me and she says, 'Whoa, you okay? And I said, 'What did you see?' and she said, 'I don't know,' she said, 'You were falling and then,' she said, 'And then within like a split second, I was standing upright.' Now that doesn't make sense to me.

Oh please if you're a skeptic please try and debunk this. Also, if you know a lot about time slips and the Mandela Effect please enlighten me, like, I am happy for an explanation either way. But it doesn't add up. Part of me goes, 'What if I somehow went into a different reality?' 'What if something happened to me that day and I slipped into another reality where I am okay?' 'Is that what death really is?' Holy crap, what if that's what death is? Maybe no one dies. “I have heard some rumors of a similar being to mothman appearing near to where I'm from in Wales, UK. My mother have claimed to have seen a similar being while she was in a car with her sister. She claimed to have seen a "shimmering cloaked like creature" when she told me this, it immediately made me think of the grim reaper. She said it came out of the darkness and followed besides the car on the passenger side and then went over to the drivers side, then finally it goes above the car and stopping in its trails. Without knowing about my mother and her sister's sighting, there have been about 4 more people to have seen a similar being at the same area. I thought I saw something similar on the same road but I may have just seen something like a kite or a black bag stuck on wiring...I was on my way to college, on a bus, otherwise I'd have took more notice. I want to believe the supernatural...but reported sightings aren't enough for me. Also, there have been few deaths on these roads, one was a cousin's girlfriend and her friend who drove their way on to scaffolding pipes and was impaled, the driver behind them said they just swerved off the road straight into the pipes, but the car didn't seem to lose control, it was if it was did intentionally...it makes me think if they saw it. I honestly don't know.” - TheRonamon

NOTE: I have received a few reports of winged humanoids from south Wales over the years, including 2 very credible accounts in Carmarthenshire...in Drefach & just outside of Carmarthen. FBI Investigating Mysterious 'Booms' in Pennsylvania

SPRINGFIELD TOWNSHIP, Pa. (CBS) — Federal and local authorities are investigating mysterious booms being reported in Upper Bucks and Lehigh Counties.

Springfield Township police say there have been multiple reports of loud explosions, with the most recent one happening shortly after 4 a.m. on Tuesday.

“In the late 1990's I had a paper route in a small town I Oregon. For one delivery I had to deliver to a set of mail boxes. I pulled left, started to put papers in. I was paranoid about traffic, so I constantly checked my rear-view mirror. It was a rainy day. I saw a woman in a long black coat with a hood walking a small black dog. I physically turned in my seat to see the woman. No one there. I checked the mirrors, there she was!!! I turned again. Still no one there. I drove off like a bat out of Hell. 'They' Changed Me

“I will share my story for the first time...here and now. When I was 10, I had the most traumatic experience of my life. I will never forget it. I was living in a suburb of Minneapolis at the time. It was an extremely hot summer day in August. I was running around with friends in the neighborhood playing tag when I noticed a HUGE grasshopper or locust clinging to the side of my house. I was an odd child. I used to capture insects and do experiments on them so you can understand how excited I was to see such a big insect within my grasp. I captured the thing and remember thinking it strange how it didn't struggle in my hands. It was super chill even when I threw it in the bathroom sink I had filled with water. I grabbed my notepad to take notes and a bunch of household cleaners we had stored in the cupboard below the kitchen sink. I added a bit of bleach or something and thing started going crazy. (Noted. I added several more chemicals over the next 10 minutes or so until the creature was dead, at which point I threw it in the toilet, flushed, and watched it swirl down the drain until it disappeared.)

After I had put the chemicals back in their place, I went into my bedroom to place the notepad back in the drawer of my night stand. The second I entered the room I saw that damn thing I had just tortured and flushed down the toilet chilling on my little nightstand! I did a double take and sure enough it was there. I approached slowly to examine the insect. When I grabbed the thing between my index finger and thumb the weirdest thing happened. Imagine there is a piece of fabric on the palm of your left hand. It represents the fabric of space and time. Now take your right hand and pinch of piece of that fabric between said fingers and then invert it or pull it inside out so that the bottom of the fabric is now on top. When I grabbed that thing it was as if all of reality had flipped inside out, though. I was a part of that fabric. The fact that I was an observer only created the illusion that I was separate or outside of what I was perceiving around me.

Instantly, I was on my back and paralyzed. Standing over me, one to my left and one to my right, were two very white and tall(er) aliens. Keep in mind, at that point in my life I had never seen the classic, stereotypical image of an alien. It wasn't until I was 13 when I saw the cover of a book titled 'Communion' that I realized that what had tormented me that day were aliens. They had the same big head and huge black eyes as the creature on the cover of that book, except that they were tall and very white, and not the little grey aliens most people describe under hypnosis.

Anyway, the two ETs or demons or whatever they were placed the palm of their hands over my rib cage and what I experienced at that moment I can only describe as raw terror. It was absolute terror. Electric terror. I couldn't breathe or move or even blink. I couldn't tell you how long it lasted or what happened after. I have no recollection of it ending. I didn't come to in my bedroom or anywhere for that matter. That was it. What I did later that day or who I talked with about the experience is unknown to me. All I know is that from that moment on I have been a different person. It was the defining moment of my life.

A year or so ago, I got a little buzzed and called my dad to talk. I asked him something I had wanted to ask him for years but never had the courage to do so because I didn't really want to know. I asked him if he or mom ever noticed anything strange about me when I was a child, if I had said anything about what I was going through, as I had always suffered from what I can only describe as being severe night terrors. I was afraid to go to bed. In fact, it had a severe impact on my youth. What my dad said actually caused me to start hyperventilating and I had to end the phone call. He reluctantly said that, yes, they had noticed something very strange and had even had me exorcised, even though neither my mom or dad are religious....AT ALL. I was also the subject of extensive neuro-psyche testing at the University of Minnesota. In hindsight, it all made sense. I remember the doctors and scientists. They even came to visit me at my elementary school on a daily and then weekly basis. My dad simply said that he would describe what he was witnessing as being almost.....alien. That was the word that brought on my panic during that phone call. I had to hang up.

What makes this so compelling to me is that fact that I had never been into science fiction or aliens or mythology. In fact, I thought it was downright stupid. I became a hardcore materialist reductionist scientist later in life. I rejected everything I had had personal experience with for many years. It was as if I was in denial? I was in denial. I am just now trying to reconcile this experience and others of a more supernatural nature. The experience I described here was the first and last experience I had involving ETs (as far as I know).

I am now 38. I have severe PTSD and had undergone multiple series of electro convulsive therapy. I have been hospitalized numerous times over the years for major depression and PTSD. I cannot for the life of me understand why I have PTSD but I am considering the possibility that there is more going on than I am conscious of. There is something anomalous about me, a quality or ability if you will, that I have never shared nor will I ever share. I know better than to share such things with psychiatrists or therapists. Stan Gordon Reports Bigfoot Encounter

Daylight Bigfoot Encounter Reported in Pennsylvania - May 16, 2018

On the afternoon of May 16, 2018, a person was driving their vehicle on a rural road near the border of Washington and Greene counties in Pennsylvania. The driver noticed a truck pulled off to the side of the country road, and the person by the truck and a passenger inside were pointing towards the hillside which was about 50 yards away.

It was then that the first driver noticed something unusual . The witness stated, “I swear to God it was Bigfoot.” Stepping out of the tree line was a large upright creature covered with black/brown hair. It was estimated to be at least 6 ½ to 7 feet tall from that distance. The arms were long and hung down by its side. It walked on two legs. At that distance the witness could not make out any facial features, but stated it had no muzzle, and was certain that it was not a bear.

The creature was observed as it stepped out of the tree line and took 4 or 5 steps, then walked back into the tree line and wasn’t observed again. The witness heard no unusual sounds and didn’t notice any odd smells. The witness was concerned that no one would believe her, however she was certain that she had seen something unusual.

UFO Observed During the Afternoon Over Pennsylvania Home - May 14, 2018

The witness was in her home located in a rural area of Greene County. The woman was closing a window as a storm was approaching the area. As she looked through the window she noticed a dark, hat-like saucer shaped object that was stationary over a neighbor’s home about 150 feet away.

The object while dark in color was not quite black. It was estimated at 20-25 feet in length and approximately 8-10 feet high. The witness did not observe any windows, lights, or sound. There seemed to be towards the top of the object, some type of yellow or gold markings.

While the witness watched, the object banked, and moved off into the sky toward the southeast, then just vanished from sight. The entire observation lasted 6-10 seconds.

'Greys' Near Mt. Rainier

Ashford, WA - 1994-09-10: It was a clear night and my dog and I were camping near Mt. Rainier. I saw what I thought was a satellite, but it moved differently than a satellite. When I went to bed I zipped the tent up so the dog could not get out and went to sleep.

When I awoke the tent flap was open and I had a burning sensation on my right shoulder. It hurt so bad I had a hard time using my right arm. I thought a insect had bitten me. When I got home I had a black spot about the size of a 50 cent piece on my right shoulder. It hurt for a year and I did not go to the doctor.

I started having memories of Greys around the campsite.

I remembered two came and got me out of the tent and sat me on logs near the campfire ashes. I sensed there was a third Grey nearby. I remembered having a stick and stirring the ashes and remarking how I wish there was a fire because I was cold. I remember the Greys seemed like old friends to me, and I was talking to them. I don't think they talked to me. One of the Greys came up behind me and pulled the neck of the sweatshirt down on my right shoulder and stuck me with something. I don't remember anything after that, I just woke up the next morning in the tent with the flap open.

Over a year or two later they came to me in my bedroom, this time the Greys looked more human than before. They seemed to be wearing robes with some patterns on them. This time they communicated with me telepathically and said 'nice to meet you.' I said 'hi'. The one Grey's eyes then turned strikingly blue in color and seemed to pierce my head like a laser beam. I had a headache for a week after that. After that incident I remembered everything that had happened to be before.

Much later I woke up to see if it was snowing and saw a large silent craft with floodlights on the front and rear cruising slowly over the houses in my neighborhood.

I was an Aerospace Engineer Manager for Boeing and didn't work on any government contracts just airplanes.

The visits continued until 1999 and ended when I moved to Arizona. As a child I grew up 60 miles west of Tucson on a ranch and remember seeing Greys. - MUFON

Giant Predatory Worms Invade France

Giant predatory worms from tropical parts of Asia that have stealthily invaded French gardens pose a threat to local wildlife, scientists are warning.

The voracious creatures have infiltrated gardens across the country and also French territories.

A new study has collected reports of the unusual creatures, which are known to grow up to 40cm in length.

Despite their size, these unusual creatures would have gone completely unnoticed were it not for the efforts of amateur naturalist Pierre Gros who took a photograph of an unidentified worm in 2013.

UFOs Over the Valley

“Late one night, I was helping bring horses into into the barn at a ranch in the Santa Ynez Valley. It was fall, the air was crisp, and the sky was crystal clear. My mother had told me previously of seeing strange lights in the night sky, and on this night, she called to me excitedly saying “There! Look up!!” It took a moment, but there was a light moving at a steady speed very high in the sky. The trajectory was perfectly straight, and it was of such altitude that I called back to her, saying “That is a satellite, mom. Nothing to worry about.” “No no...” she said. “Keep watching!” I stopped the two thoroughbreds I was leading and watched. To humor her, if anything. As I watched, two tiny points of light broke way from ether side of the object, moved out a slight distance, grew in brightness, and flew formation with the object for a short while. Suddenly, both objects accelerated instantly to a speed I cannot describe, and shot away at 45 degree angles from the main object and perpendicular to one another, traversing the visible sky in less than a second. “Did you see that?” my mother asked. “What was that?” “Nothing we built.” I said after a long pause. Some are Good...Some are Evil

“I have had two separate incidents with UFOs. The first was in 2011. This V-shaped UFO entered the atmosphere above my home and sat silent for about 2 minutes then traversed the sky. I was frightened by it but it wasn't, or at least it didn't, come off evil. The second about 8 months later was a disc and when I saw it, I was ready with a powerful light and I pointed it at the craft and the damn thing stopped and slowly made its way to me. I was panicked and very terrified. It was almost on top of me when I shut the light off and ran for my shed, which I shut the door and locked from the inside using a bike lock. My entire yard was lit up with bright light and it was shining into the cracks of my shed and lit up the inside like I had a spotlight on inside. There was a vibration I felt slowly increase in intensity and then everything went dark. It was gone. I felt this one was evil very evil. Haven't seen any UFOs since but I know they are real and some are good and some are evil." - Sir Wulf

It Wasn't a Dream

“Here's a story from 2002. My Brother and I shared a bedroom in the attic of our house in Hereford, UK. We were up playing video games one night after we were told to go to bed and we both heard a low humming and the house was vibrating. The hum and vibration got louder over the following 10 minutes. We paused the game and went to look out of our bedroom window. What we both saw was a large aircraft flying overhead; we opened the windows and leaned out to get a better look as our house had tall trees out the back. The craft was flying at an unbelievably slow speed and had large round lights underneath and along the wings. The craft had 5 large lights from memory and was wide and triangular. We were very confused that nothing outside was affected by this large craft, trees remained still and there was no cars or wildlife noise. We continued to watch the craft for 10 minutes until it slowly disappeared over the tree line. We decided that in the morning we would go up to the quarry (a large park with football fields) to see whether the craft had perhaps crashed. Once the craft had gone and the vibrations had stopped we went downstairs to ask our parents whether they had heard or felt the humming and vibrations but they just looked at us confused and told us to go to bed (there is no way they would not have heard it). Just recently at a family BBQ my brother mentioned what he had seen 16 years earlier and my jaw just dropped. I thought it was a dream or hallucination. I cannot understand what we saw but whatever it was it was huge, slow moving and had 5 round lights underneath.” - The Vapor Room

No Government Disclosure Needed...They're Real

“I saw a UFO in 2003 or 2004. I was traveling along the freeway near Phoenix, Arizona. The craft was flying about 30-40 feet above the freeway light posts and was oval in shape and flew silent. It was flat on top and bottom with a convex middle underbelly. No propulsion. No gear, no markings and was a medium-dark gray, matte smooth metal, with no windows or seams. It appeared to be molded or created into presence by thought and not by manufacturing. It flew in broad daylight in a smooth, even slow speed as if it was watching along the freeway. The craft didn't seem to be affected by wind currents or it's environment. I saw it from the front and underneath and the back. It was not man-made. I felt no fear. My observation skills kicked in so I was observing every detail of what I was seeing and took mental notes. Yes, UFO's are real. I don't need the government to disclose the fact.” - Royal Navarre

Hood River Airport Encounter

Patrick in Washington State called in to tell of his UFO sighting:

“Going back about eight years, James (Gilliland – the guest of the evening) was practically my neighbor. I lived in Trout Lake. I lived there for a year and I can't say that anything paranormal or extra-terrestrial happened to me, but I wasn't really looking for those experiences. It was during that year that I learned to fly, just south, in Hood River, and that's when something happened. It took about a year to get my pilot license and once I had completed that training, I would fly around a lot. I'd fly over Trout Lake. I'd fly over, you know, the Hood River Valley, the peak. There's Mount Adams, going to the south about 50 miles, is Hood and then between the two, between the two peaks, is the Columbia River, and I spent most of my time flying over the Hood River Valley, which is just to the south of the Columbia River, and it was during that very uneventful flight, I was coming in for a landing at 33,000 feet above... I was just to the east of the mountain and there was something in my way, some kind of... as I was approaching, it was like a spherical object. I didn't know exactly what it was. I thought it might be a helicopter or something else, an airplane, but it's too far out. I didn't hear any radio call so I wasn't exactly sure. I approached a little bit more. It's coming into view and it appears to be football-shaped and metallic. There was light glinting off of it. It was in my way. I was 3,000 feet descending into 4S2 which is the Hood River Airport and I actually had to roll to the left to get out of this thing's way. (Church asks how big it was) You know, that's a good question. So you can't really tell just looking directly at it but I was able to fly just to the left of it and I think it was about the same size as my airplane. I was flying a Cessna 172 which isn't exactly a big aircraft. Probably about that size or smaller. (Church asks if it was moving) I don't know because, keep in mind, it's really difficult to tell relative motion. I'm traveling about a hundred miles per hour about a hundred knots or so, I'm coming, I'm descending, I believe. It was definitely in front of me. It might have been moving toward me when I rolled to the left and I looked at it to try to get an idea of what it was. The Sun, which was setting, it was sort of, I guess, it was about 6 PM, again, this is going back eight years but the Sun hit it and it glinted off of it. It blinded me at that point. I couldn't see what it was but I couldn't see any rotors, I couldn't see any wings. It certainly didn't look like a like any kind of a weather balloon. There was no, I don't think it was a drone, I'm not sure what it was and it's been eight years. I have no idea what I saw. So it passed me on the right and my right wing would have been, you know, up, as I roll to the right but it was there, as I passed it, the setting Sun glinted off of it and it was just a reflection of the Sun. I couldn't see it well. It was a moment in time and it passed very quickly. I did have to roll to miss it or I think I would have hit it but I don't know what it was. The airport is an untowered airport, so no radar. It's incumbent upon the pilot's visiting that airport to make a radio contact essentially to announce their intentions to let other aircrafts know what they're doing, where they're going. There was no radio broadcast when I encountered this thing. It's funny, I landed at the airport. Right next to the airport, one of my co-workers actually had a house there. I got out of my plane. They all saw me land. They all knew I was there. It was basically an after work party and so I walked up and I grabbed a beer and I just started telling a few people. I told a few people what I saw and they started making fun of me, you know, and it's like, 'How many beers have you had?' So, yeah, I haven't told that many people because I honestly don't know what it was.” Source: Coast to Coast Radio - April 27, 2018

Tall Alien by the Road

I recently received the following account:

Hello

I have been wanting to tell someone who cares about what I seen for a very long time, someone that will believe me and not judge. It's been many years ago but I remember it as if it was yesterday. I was at work one day in Greensboro, NC. lunch time rolled around and I left for my friend's house in Allen Jay (High Point).

Anyway it was the early spring, a beautiful day approx 12:15 pm. As I remember is was 1992. As I turned down a road called Nance Ave on the way to my friend's house. Actually I was almost there. As I drove everything was fine. All of a sudden there was a 8- 9 ft alien (maybe even taller) standing on the left side of my car on the side of the road. I couldn’t believe my eyes. I slowed down to look up at it and it was very tall. The eyes were kinda large and shaped like the normal cat's eyes that we see a lot for aliens. He was so black and dark...his cloak (as it looked to me) came up and it looked like he had on a toboggan type cap, but again it was so black that it kind of melted in together with the cloak. It was terribly skinny. And his eyes were very shiny. Very thin and very tall. No hands were visible or feet, he was just standing there looking straight at something. As I drove by slowly I kept watching in my mirror at what I was seeing and all of a sudden it turned and was looking at me.

Now the road I was on is somewhat hilly with up and down small hills. I was so fascinated with what I was seeing I wanted to go back. I never took my eyes off of the alien as I could see just a little bit of him. Still as I went to turn around, I still had a visual on the alien. As I whipped my car around, maybe 3-4 seconds with my eyes not on the alien, well he was gone. I was scared, but also fascinated.

I think the only one who believed me was my friend as I told her and took several shots of tequila at her house, that never phased me. She said when I came flying threw her door my face was very white and she knew something was wrong. I was trying to calm down before I went back to work. I have never seen another one, but have seen mysterious thing at the NC coast where I go.

White Owl & UFO

Mendota, California: At approximately 10:15pm as my kids & I were driving through a dark, lonely road through fields (outside of Mendota, CA) we saw an object in the sky with white and red lights moving through the sky super fast! It caught our eyes, because we’ve never seen anything like this. (Just a minute or so prior to noticing the flying object a white owl flew right in front of our car windshield, so close that it was almost touching the glass. it looked at us and flew away fast. We all froze and had chills).

We watched as the flying object moved super fast from one end to another & closer.

Then it suddenly slowed down, hovered & lowered. We saw a clear disk shape going in circles with white and red flashing lights! There was no question as to what we were clearly looking at. Then all of a sudden it was gone. Right after we lost sight of it, two bunnies appear on the road in plain darkness in front of our car. Then, another. We were so scared, we couldn’t understand what the heck was going on.

It was the scariest thing ever! My body froze so bad that I was having difficulty moving & driving. I was super stiff until I got home! The scariest part was that we were stuck on that road with no one and nothing around and we had to drive toward our last sighting of this thing, because it was the only way out of there to reach the highway.

Found a picture of a UFO sighting from 2010 which most closely resembles what we saw (except for the blue light). We did not take any pictures ourselves as we were in shock.

'Zombie' Warning Issued in Florida City

LAKE WORTH, Fla. (AP) - Residents of a Florida city who received alerts about a power outage were also warned to look out for zombies. That's right - zombies.

Lake Worth residents received the message during a power outage Sunday.

The alert warned that more than 7,000 customers lost power "due to extreme zombie activity."

City spokesman Ben Kerr later posted a Facebook message saying officials were investigating the bogus alert and that he wanted to "reiterate that Lake Worth does not have any zombie activity currently." Read more at Florida city warns residents of power outage, zombies

'I think it's finally time to talk'

Phoenix, Arizona - 7/5/2011 23:11: I've reported here before, but I never followed up because I was scared. I think it's finally time to talk...

I was in my backyard, and my dog was barking like crazy. I was trying to get her to be quiet, she kept running back and fourth in the yard, jumping up the fence, like as if chasing a cat. She was barking and she then sat in the middle of the yard. I finally got up one last time to bring her inside, but as soon as I got next to her she stopped barking. It was so silent. At night, you can see the stars but, for the most part, there weren't any. It was pitch black. I mean, NOTHING. Then, the stars I mean, were in the shape of a ellipse, but I don't know for sure. My phone broke, like, literally broke. The battery was dripping. I don't know what happened next. I woke up in my room and I haven't talked to anyone except for one person.

The second encounter I had, which I've sent before, was in my living room. In the morning, but the sun was barely rising. It was around 4 or 5 am in the summer. I looked out the window, and there it was. Clear as day. A being. Its face was bony, very skinny, sucked in to the bone. It had no eyes. No nose. It had holes on the sides of its head, which, I thought were like a reptile's ears. But it was fleshy. It looked human. But it had the slightest pale green in it; blue in some spots. It was tall, but hunched over, with four arms and very small legs. It had a very large spine, like, it was long, and it was very prominent. Also very easy to see through its flesh. It had something else, where our ribs would be. It looked like gills. They were bright pink. No tail. I dropped my glass of milk and he/it turned to look at me. It stared; for what felt like hours. I know exactly what it looks like. I could almost feel the creature through the glass. I blacked out. I woke up later around 12 noon.

Then lastly, the reason why I reported all this to you. I was in Page, AZ with a friend, who is Navajo. He took me to meet his family on the reservation. That first night, we went out at about midnight. We walked up on top of this huge sandstone ridge, and his father told us never to leave at night. (blah blah blah right?) I didn't listen. Mind you, I'm a very intelligent 14 year old boy. I should have listened. There was a bright light. Illuminated the valley. It was a bright as day, it grew brighter and brighter. And then it kind of coned into a small area, like a stage light, but really bright. We could feel the heat. The cone of light grew so small you could barely see it, yet it grew hotter and hotter. It was like a laser. Then a loud buzzing sound started, it was a low hum, then a loud ring. Then complete silence, but it was bright. The light sketched across the sand like lighting or a crack in the ice. We ran faster then I've run before.

We later decided to walk back to the sands the next night. We walked out there, and it was overcast and raining; but the rain was caught and wouldn't sink into the sand. We dug in. For a radius of thirty feet, there was glass. It looked like a spider web on the top, with a plate under it. We later dug it up and, it looked random to me. But who knows? His father said to leave it and its God's work. It's not for the media, so we buried it. Shortly after the man's cattle and sheep started to disappear. - NUFORC

NOTE: I came across this report by sheer accident today. After reading the account, it reminded me of a similar series of incidents told to me by Jc Johnson several years ago. He described an area in the high desert on the Dine Navajo reservation in New Mexico where strange lights had been seen. It was also an area where the large 'Furry One' males would congregate, according to a few locals. One of the sheepherder's livestock had suddenly disappear without a trace, but Jc was sure that it wasn't the Bigfoot stealing sheep. He believed that there was an otherworldly explanation for the disappearances, but he wasn't able (as far as I know) to prove it. Lon

'Never contact us again!'

I was told by MUFON to never to contact them again. So I want to be clear with this...between 70/75 I witnessed UFOs and was abducted with my grandmother. 3 years ago I did a report on MUFON and talked to Maddy. I didn't have any problems with what I seen or going on a UFO. I talked with her because I had questions. Around 2 yeas ago I took a photo of the Moon and something shiny was to the right in that photo. Last year I had a short Grey pull a prank on me in my apartment. Earlier this year I did a report on it, but again I had a question about it. My question was 'are people that had contact with aliens...are they having contact again?'

A few weeks ago at work I seen a UFO again. It was around 50 yards wide. It came out of a cloud then traveled along the west side going south then started making clouds from the sides of the UFO and went back into the cloud. A few days later I did a report on MUFON and the next day the top person (Sue) from MUFON in Wisconsin, contacted me by email asking questions. Also a woman that worked with Sue (this persons name is Donna) called me and we talked for about 10 minutes. She wanted to meet so we agreed on a time and place.

So for a few days I answered those questions. It took awhile because I told her about the abduction my grandmother and I had. I went on MUFON and seen the tools part of that website and I decided to find out if that photo I have is a planet or something else. The photo is on a tablet. I have a Galaxy 7 so I took a photo of it, because that tablet is not hooked up to WiFi and sent those photos. I sent to Sue and told her to check it out. Around 8 hours later she emailed me back and she demanded I never contact those 2 or MUFON again ever.

I didn't have any idea what happened. At 4 am I get done with work and I was sitting in a office. I was reading the emails I sent in and couldn't figure out what happened. Then I looked at the photos in my gallery on my phone and at that time I could see why she sent that email. That shiny thing is a UFO, but what else was on that UFO is not good. I could see a laser gun and another weapon in back of it. if you would like to see the photos I will send them to you. Thanks for reading this. EC

Large 'Giggling' Bat

My boyfriend was outside with his uncle around 9pm two years ago in 2016. Their house near Hillsborough River and by a dead end had many trees and they were outside talking. Than my boyfriend said from his peripheral he saw a large bat coming towards him and he just punched it as hard as he could. The bat with a large wingspan of 3 to 4 feet was on the porch and started to try to regain itself. He said it seemed to have giggled. My boyfriend described it as being so loud as he started to want to take off. He was in shock because it seemed to want to attack again. He ran away from the scene and both were shocked to know that happened. When he told me I believed him. We live in Tampa, Florida. - DL

Big Ball of Blue Light

A few years back me and my ex lived in her grandmas old house. She had seen a ball of light floating across the living room years before. But it was around Christmas time of 2014 and we were in the bedroom. For some reason that I can’t remember she screamed out “I don’t want to F”N live here anymore.” Right after she said that we both saw a big ball of blue light shoot across the ceiling from one side of the room to the other. She had a wind chime hanging over the bed and the ball of light shot into it and made it move back and forth making the wind chime noises. I tried to explain it naturally but I couldn’t come up with a natural reason a blue ball of light would go across the ceiling and make a wind chime move. - MH

Bike Path Glitch

“I was biking back from my friend's house who lives 10 minutes from me. I have to cross an intersection, so I cross and, coming towards me, which would be going to the direction to my friend's, was a man who walked very slowly and was carrying a bag. So we were very clearly going in opposite direction, only I was going much faster on my bike. Two minutes later, I then see the man walking towards me again, the same direction and I had been following the same bike path. I was shocked, I haven't been able to wrap my head around how he got back to where I was, when he was walking in the other direction when I first saw him. I kept the same pace going in a straight line on the bike path the whole time from my friend's house, I see the man the first time walking past me, and then another time within two minutes, again, walking past me.... I don't know how this happened.” - Evan
