My Response to Recent Accusations Made Against Me

Hey folks...I'm only going to mention this once. I have been receiving a few harassing emails and messages in regards to a private statement I made within our Phantoms & Monsters Fortean Research team thread this past week. Unfortunately, one of those team members recently decided to disclose private information to another Facebook user (which instantly resulted in their removal from the group).

This all goes back to a former team member, Allison Jornlin, who was removed from the group (4 years ago) because she insisted on receiving private witness information associated with the Chicago winged humanoids investigations and for causing considerable disruption within the group. That is not, and never will be, part of our policy. At the time, Rosemary Ellen Guiley and Tobias Wayland were given witness information to follow-up with the witnesses in order to verify the sighting reports. Those were the only group members allowed to receive the personal contact information, because of their experience and qualifications. Allison took exception to this policy and lashed out.

Once again, as she has done before, Allison is seeking attention. She has done this on several occasions...playing the 'victim.' Now she wants to brand me as a misogynist. I believe the women in our group and the thousands of female followers and clients would disagree with that assessment.

Anyway, I'm not going into specific details about Allison's personal issues and shortcomings. I will continue to, as you say, 'do as I do' and proceed with my work. If you decide not to continue following me or not read my blog, then I say 'thanks' for previously following me. I will not apologize to liars and untrustworthy people, regardless of gender, race, etc. Thanks. Lon

Small Crawling Humanoids Attack Navajo Reservation Residence

Small crawling humanoids attack a house on the Navajo reservation in Arizona. It is believed that these shapeshifting entities were the result of an old curse placed on the family

My story took place several years ago when we lived on the Rez in Arizona. My entire family had gotten together for my Mom's birthday and spent the night at my Grandmother's house out in the sticks, in the middle of nowhere.

At about 10:30 pm her dogs started barking and howling like crazy. No one got up to check because it was pitch black outside. But I could tell that the dogs were running back and forth chasing something. I got curious, so I turned the outside light on and stepped out the front door to see what was going on.

Then suddenly, something jumped from the tree onto the side of my Grandmother's house and started crawling like 'Spiderman' all around the house. It was hard to make out, but it looked like a small man crawling like a lizard. The house was made of stucco, but it moved around easily. This thing was fast too. The dogs were going nuts.

I ran into the house screaming. Everyone was terrified and I remember crawling underneath the bed. The noises were horrible, and it sounded like there were more than one. I heard squeaking sounds that got real loud at times. They would jump on top of the roof and could be heard walking around. I don't remember how long it lasted, but I was under the bed the entire night.

When dawn came, we all went outside to check out the house. There were a few bits of stucco knocked off, but not as bad I thought it would be. The dogs were in the tool shed and too tired to move. Then my Uncle got a ladder, so he and I climbed to the roof. What we saw was really shocking. There were hundreds of white hand prints going around the flat roof, right up to the edge. The handprints were small in size but were human. It looked like the hands had been dipped in white paint. I looked closer, but it wasn't paint. It was almost like a thick chalk.

My Uncle told me not to mention it to anyone in the family, especially my Grandmother. She had said all her life that Skinwalkers were after her. I didn't believe her, but after that night I began to wonder if she was telling the truth.

I later asked my Uncle what he thought it was. He didn't hesitate and said it was definitely witches. He said our family had been cursed during the old days before the treaties. He said someone in the family was a known witch and when they were killed, the elders had placed a curse on the family. My Uncle then laughed and said that no one outside of the family remembers any of that and it's probably a rumor anyway.

Well it scared me enough that I believe that there may be something to that story. After that incident, I never spent another night at my Grandmother's place again. JL

Multiple Upright Canines Observed at Camp Stewart, Georgia (1941)

Before the United States' involvement in WWII, the military training at Camp Stewart, Georgia experienced the presence of upright canines

Hi Lon - enjoy reading your newsletter and thought I would send a story my Grandfather John told me.

In 1940 he volunteered for active duty and was later shipped off to Camp Stewart, Georgia. He had graduated high school (in New York City) the year before and thought that the US would be fighting in the war eventually, so he signed up before he was drafted.

At the time, he was part of an anti-aircraft training unit that was housed in large tents. Camp Stewart (now Fort Stewart) was a fairly new facility and much of it was under construction. Most of the tents were in or near an area that was densely forested. I don't know how many guys were in the tent with him, but he was friends with another guy from NYC named Pete.

They hadn't been there long when stories about weird creatures in the woods started to circulate among the soldiers. One of the rumors was that a few soldiers had been attacked by an unknown beast within the camp. There wasn't a lot said and no one (he believes) ever witnessed the attacks.

One early morning, Grandpa John and Pete along with other soldiers were transporting garbage to an area north of the camp. He said that there was a large ditch where all the refuse was dumped. It was hauled in large barrels which were emptied one by one.

He was in the lead truck as they pulled up to the dump area. They noticed a very large dog on the back edge of the ditch which looked to be digging in the trash. They were commenting that the dog may have been a wolf because it was huge. While they were talking among themselves, the dog stood up on it's two back legs and looked directly at them. After a few seconds, it turned and dropped to four legs, then ran into the woods. They were alarmed and considered leaving, but there were armed personnel on patrol. They then wondered why armed soldiers needed to guard a garbage dump.

They quickly got their work done because they wanted to leave as soon as possible.

Grandpa John said that he later had a conversation with one of the guys who had spent time guarding the garbage dump. According to him, the higher-ups were aware of the large dogs, which he believed to be wolves. He said that there were other similar beasts in the area and that they were ordered to shoot to kill if they had the opportunity. He admitted that he witnessed one of these wolves stand up on two legs and walk, though he didn't say why he failed to shoot at it.

Grandpa John was later injured during training, but after two years he was cleared for assignment and served in the US Army in Europe. He said that over the years he had talked to other vets who had trained at Fort Stewart. A few of them were aware of the attacks and that it probably occurred on more than one occasion.

I have read about the Dogman sightings on your website. I wonder if the Fort Stewart beasts may have been the same type of creatures? I'd be interested if others had ever heard of these attacks. Thank you - Jack

Strange People / Humanoid Encounters in Tennessee, Long Island & Ohio

3 different frightening encounters with strange people or unknown humanoids in Tennessee, Long Island & Ohio

The following strange accounts were recently found:

"I’m staying in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee near the Smoky Mountains right now, in a cabin in the woods. There are other cabins nearby, though. I was dead asleep last night and my boyfriend was still outside in the hot tub and he came inside yelling for me and woke me up. He said that he started hearing something big moving around in the forest, and he thought it was a bear, but he shined his flashlight and it was like something small moving through the grasses that he couldn’t see. There were multiple of them but they were covered by the grass and moving in different directions. He only saw one, but it was a little ways in the distance, and he described it as ‘long and tan and skin colored like a person that was on their belly slithering around’ but moving really fast and graceful. Then clear as day he heard a woman’s voice scream ‘help me! Someone!’ And he says it was the weirdest sound — like it didn’t sound like a real person. It sounded rehearsed and fake, and he couldn’t tell where it was coming from. Anyone know what this is? We’re freaked." SG

"This experience really just confuses me more than anything and if anyone has any information or has seen something similar please let me know. So this was a few years ago while I was in high school probably around 2011-2012 on Long Island, NY and I was probably like 16 give or take a year. I was walking with my friend from one end of the mall to the other just talking and looking for more of our friends to hang out with.

As we were getting close to one of the exits I see this tall man stumble through the crowd of other mall goers. At first when I saw him I looked away because to be honest I thought this man has some kind of disability or handicap and I didn’t want to be rude and gawk at him. But then it clicked in my head that something weird was up with him. He had almost wet looking greasy black hair that was messy, choppy, and shoulder length and dressed in a khaki suit that was too big for him even though he was a tall dude. His skin didn’t looked like it fit him either. It hung on him slightly and looked like it wasn’t attached to him. The weirdest part was his face though, and to this day it just really confuses me. I know it’s so weird but he just had two black circles for eyes and a black open frown on his face. Like just solid blacked out holes with nothing behind them. He had no nose, eyelids, eyebrows, teeth or lips.

He stumbled past me and my friend and I looked at her and asked if she saw that but she said "no" because she was on her phone. However this girl from another group of teenagers in front of us started freaking out yelling “did you f*cking see that?” And all her friends said "no." I looked at her and she looked at me and I just nodded my head and kept walking cause I didn’t know what else to do. I don’t know if it was a costume but like what kind of weird costume would that be to just wear to a mall one afternoon. Like I said if anyone has any clue what this could be I’d love to hear it. I think about this man all the time and it still makes me feel a little sick because it just doesn’t make sense." MI

"In 1973, when I was young, my family lived in an old farmhouse in rural southern Ohio. The closest house was about 1 mile away. The house we lived in was on a working farm with a barn, a windmill water pump, several acres of fields, a small creek, and it all backed up to a line of trees about 1/2 mile behind the house.

The house was built in the 1850s. It had a root cellar and two stories. The upstairs had three large bedrooms and a small bathroom with an old, metal, claw foot bath tub. Wide stairs terminated at the top at the north end of the large landing and a walkway ran from the top of the stairs along the west wall past my sisters bedroom before turning east. The walkway then passed my parents room, my room and then ended at the bathroom. At the landing (the north end) there was a large window. I should mention that the ceilings were about 20 feet tall. So the window on the north wall started about 8 feet above the floor. My room was on the south end of the landing/walkway.

One January night I needed to heed the call of nature, so I got out of bed and walked to the door. Across the upper walkway/landing was a figure. It was about 6 feet tall. Its face was silvery white and glowing. It had spiky lightning bolt like hair and its body while bipedal and humanoid was ill defined and not glowing. It was standing at the top of the landing, 40 feet away from me and it was looking at me.

I screamed!

After what seemed like an eternity my sleepy parents entered the common walkway area. By this time the creature had disappeared. My mother sent my dad downstairs to check out the house while she comforted me and checked on my younger sister. My sister slept through the whole incident. I stood rooted to my doorway out of terror while my dad investigated the downstairs. While my dad was downstairs I heard the sounds of metal banging. It wasn’t very loud but it was loud enough for my mom and I to hear. The sound only lasted a few seconds.

When my dad came upstairs he reported that there was nothing downstairs. I asked him what the metal banging sounds were and he said he hadn’t heard anything.

I’m not sure how but I somehow managed to go back to sleep that night. I know my mom sat up with me until I did.

This was the only time I saw something strange at this house. We moved that summer." PS

Green Eyed Winged Humanoid Observed In Downtown Milwaukee By City Fire Rescue Officers

A pair of Milwaukee Fire / Rescue officers observe a 6 ft. green eyed winged humanoid on top of an adjacent building during a rescue call.

I recently received a telephone call from a retired Milwaukee Fire Department / Medical Services officer. The call was in reference to a fire rescue where a winged humanoid was observed.

The Northwestern Mutual south building in downtown Milwaukee was evacuated on the morning of Wednesday, November 26, 2014 after smoke entered the building. The location was at 720 E. Wisconsin Ave. around 8:00 am. That triggered alarms to the Milwaukee Fire Department.

Later that day, during the early evening, a Fire / Medical Services call was made at the same location. A window washer employee was trapped near the top of the Northwestern Mutual Building. The witness was the lead officer. He and another officer made their way to the top of the building.

After they ascended to the top of the building, the witness noticed movement on top of the U.S. Bank Center Building at 777 E Wisconsin Ave approximately a 1/2 block away from their location.

At first he thought it was just another person on top of the adjacent building, but soon realized that this being had large wings. At the time, it was early dusk, but enough ambient light was available in order to get a good description. He also noticed 'green goggles' over the eyes, but later realized that this humanoid had bright green light emanating from the eyes. The body was dark in color with a slight built body, standing a approximately 6 ft.

As the witness and his partner watched, the winged humanoid unfurled its wings to a span of over 12 ft and, without fapping, slowly ascended into the air. The witness remarked how it flew effortlessly with its wings extend to the full width. It soon glided out of sight.

The two witnesses vowed to never mention this incident publicly or within the department. After becoming aware of the Chicago / Lake Michigan winged humanoid sightings in recent years, the witness decided to contact me. The witness provided credentials and other forms of identification, including various distinguished service commendations and personal photos. Lon


NOTE: In the late Summer of 2011, reports of Mothman-like flying humanoids began to surface in the city of Chicago. After three brief sightings, there were no further accounts. Then unexpectedly in early 2017, a smattering of encounters emerged from different locations throughout the Chicago metro area; until the number reached near fifty sightings before the end of the Summer. The currently number of viable sightings reported has reached 105...and it continues. We are determined to find the truth.

Since October 2019, the majority of sightings / encounters have been reported at O'Hare International Airport and the surrounding communities. We need your help.

Scary Bigfoot Encounters: Salt Creek Monster in Lincoln, Illinois / Devouring Roadkill in Texas

2 different terrifying encounters with a Bigfoot. One was scary incident with the Salt Creek Monster in Lincoln, Illinois and the other by a truck driving who approached a Bigfoot eating roadkill in southern Texas.

I recently found the following accounts:

"I live near Lincoln, Illinois, which is located in Central Illinois. It is 30 miles from the state capital, Springfield and 35 miles each from Bloomington-Normal, Peoria, and Decatur. It has a population of about 12,000. I am now 50 yrs. old, but when I was a little boy, me and my family had an encounter with The Salt Creek Monster. If you live in central Illinois that is pronounced crick not creek.

At that time we lived out in the country less than 1/4 of a mile from Salt Creek. This was 2 miles outside an extremely small little village, Kenney, Illinois. My Mother witnessed it cross the road right before the bridge that crossed Salt Creek. My brothers, had been down there night fishing, and placing out "night lines." My Mom drove down to the bridge to get the boys and tell them to get back up to the house. It was almost 10 pm and they weren't going to be allowed to stay out there all night. One of my brothers told my Mom they had seen "Bigfoot". Her, not believing them told them, "well, you 2 boys get in the car, and come on home." They told her they had to gather their fishing poles, and gear, and to please wait while they got it, and they would walk back up to the house. She agreed, and waited while they did that, and they started back down the road. One of my brothers was on foot, and one on his bike.

As they took off, she drove on towards the bridge to turn around on a little gravel drive, right before the bridge. She had her driver's side window down. As she got to the drive, a horrible smell of garbage, mixed with rotten sewage water, practically "smacked" her in the face through the window. In the headlights a 6' foot tall, man shaped "thing", crossed in the headlights from one side of the road to the other. It was light gray, and completely hair covered. It looked directly at the car as it passed by. She said, she'll never forget those glowing yellow eyes. She said she had the hair on her arms neck, and head all stood on end, and she's never felt that scared since. She turned into the drive, on the right side of the road, and slammed the gear shift into reverse, quickly doing a 3 point turn to go back away from the bridge, and back up the road to the house. As she went toward the house, this "thing" was running down the road.

It was a full moon that night. The boys had been looking back, as they went to see where Mom was, and they saw this huge, muscular, man shaped "thing", running in their direction. They later said they looked back, because this thing must have weighed a lot, because they "felt" it running on the paved country road, before they saw it. My brother, that was on foot was scared so bad, he passed my other brother on his bicycle, running! Mom was freaked out, because it looked like it was going after the boys. She swerved over at the creature, and it jumped off the right side of the road, down 15 feet into the deep ditch and, let out a blood curdling scream.

Everyone got back up to the house, quickly got into the house, and locked all the doors and windows. They later said they could hear it walking around the house. It was "thudding" into the ground, and breathing loudly, as it went by windows. My sister and her best friend were sleeping out in a camper that fit into the bed of a pick-up truck. They heard something walk up to the camper, and circle it 5-6 times. They could hear deep, heavy breathing, and the dog that was scared of NOTHING, under the truck whining. It "slapped the side of the camper, and rattled the door knob. The 2 of those girls stayed completely still, and even held their breath, they were trying to be so quiet. After what seemed like forever, (but in reality was probably 30-40 seconds) they finally heard, whatever it was, (they never looked out any window to see), something "thud" off in the direction of Salt Creek. Some time later, they heard something, off in the distance, in the same direction, they heard the thing, that only moments before had been circling their camper." JM

"A good friend of mine told me this story years ago. He is a the stereotypical old big bad trucker. I've seen some weird stuff with him while driving in south Texas along the border. He never batted an eye. But while telling me this story he had goose bumps and a concerned expression. Which from this guy is about the equivalent of a trembling lip and sh*t stained pants.

I'll tell this story in the first person as he told it to me.

Years ago in the late 90's I was on my way from the house (central Texas) heading to Loredo to pick up a load. It was early morning, around 4 or 5. I had just come off a string of days at home, so I know I wasn't tired.

I am on one of those two lane winding roads in the absolute middle of bum f*ck nowhere, when I see something on the side of the road at the edge of my high beams. At first I just thought it was roadkill, as is usually the case. As I get closer, I see that it is roadkill AND there's someone crouching over the deer carcass. I remember thinking either this guy's taking the antlers as a trophy, or he's f*cking sick. As I got closer still I can now see that's this guys eating the deer. He's pulling chunks of meat from the stomach and bringing them up to his face. At this point he stops mid-motion and looks up at me. Not at my truck, but at me. He/it stands up and that's when I see that its huge, brown, and covered in hair. I remember thinking at this point, 'WTF?' This thing is standing on the tiny shoulder looking at me. By this point, maybe 3 seconds have passed and I'm about to the point in the road he's standing at. I didn't even think of stopping, in fact I'm starting to lay on it and get the hell out of there. As I'm passing it, it's looking at me, again not at the truck. It's looking through the driver's side windshield at me. He obviously has the intelligence to know that there's a driver in here and knows where I'm sitting. As I start to pass him I can still see its head above the hood of an old needle nose Pete. (Old truck design where the hood goes straight out from the windshield, known for being tall and difficult to see around.) This thing is f*cking giant. I remember seeing what looked like human intelligence in its eyes. It scares the crap out of me!" JB

By July 1952, many of the leading, most widely-read publications in the United States, such as Argosy, Life, Look and Reader’s Digest, were getting on the “Flying Saucers are Interplanetary Spaceships” bandwagon. In the estimation of Coral Lorenzen, the National Director of the then largest civilian UFO research group in the world, the Aerial Phenomena Research Organization (APRO) in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin, these aforementioned periodicals were “printing articles dealing with what has heretofore been regarded, by them, as a controversial subject, and with the sanction of the Air Force have planted the seed that the saucers could very well be interplanetary or interstellar vehicles.” Lorenzen believed that the United States government was stepping up its program of the “slow enlightenment” of the American people to the idea that extraterrestrial entities have somehow “beat us to the punch” insofar as the development of interplanetary space travel is concerned. Clearly, Lorenzen and the APRO membership were of the opinion that those in the Air Force hierarchy were knowledgeable about the existence of the flying saucers as real, physical spaceships, dispatched to Earth and manned by intelligent beings from other planets. But for reasons of their own, the Air Force brass were of the mind to leak this information at a snail’s pace, perhaps to avoid another panic such as occurred back in 1938 with Orson Welles’ famous Halloween Martian invasion of New Jersey “War of the Worlds” broadcast.

The imminence of such a flying saucer disclosure on the part of the Air Force seemed highly probable. On 2 July 1952, the Mutual Broadcasting Company’s primary news reporter, Walter Winchell, quoted a rumor on air to the effect that scientists from the Mt. Palomar Observatory in Southern California were on hand to watch the predicted landing of a flying saucer from Venus out in the Mojave Desert. Four alien cosmonauts allegedly disembarked, looked around, re-boarded the ship and then just blasted off. Winchell informed his radio audience that a source deep inside the Air Force had assured him that the military organization would be making some kind of an “official announcement” concerning this later that fall.

In 1952, APRO director Lorenzen was but 27 years old. She had sighted many unknown objects in the sky throughout her young life, and prior to the arrival of the age of flying saucers in the summer of 1947, as inaugurated by the Kenneth Arnold sighting over Mt. Rainier in Washington state, had classified these strange lights and objects as typical manifestations of Fortean phenomena. Lorenzen became more interested in the flying saucers, particularly, and their possible extraterrestrial origin, when she and her husband, Jim, lived out in Los Angeles in 1950 and 1951. While there in Southern California they had the opportunity to visit the famous contactee, George Adamski, who by then had gained considerable prominence and notoriety because of his claims of having photographed flying saucers close up, which he referred to as Venusian space ships. His followers called him a “professor of the mystic arts,” for he studied esoteric knowledge in Tibet when he was a ten year-old boy, living there with his uncle Sydney. The Lorenzens and Adamski became fast friends; and they found him to be a charming man. The advantage of being in Adamski’s inner circle, however, was that the Lorenzens got to know many of the astronomers from Mt. Palomar who would come down the mountain observatory for breakfast, lunch or dinner in Alice K. Wells’ roadside diner, where he worked as a chef. In between serving customers, Adamski would show these astronomers some of the photographs he had taken of the space ships and share some of the telepathic communications that the Venusians had transmitted to his mind.

Besides participating in the diner conversations with Adamski, the Lorenzens also made friends with most of the Palomar astronomers. One of these scientists told the couple that he had reliable information to prove that the space ships come from three planets in our solar system: Mars, Saturn and Venus, as well as a planet in the Wolf 359 system, about eight light years distant. This astronomer, besides authenticating Adamski’s claims, said that the extraterrestrials from this Confederation of Planets “range in size from three to six-and-a-half feet in height, depending where they come from, and are well developed physically and mentally. They can speak the major languages of Earth, learned by monitoring our radio broadcasts, and have their own personnel spotted here and there all over our planet, undetected by Earthlings.” The assertions of this astronomer certainly lend credence to Winchell’s speculations about a saucer landing in the Mojave witnessed by a scientific team dispatched from Mt. Palomar Observatory. I believe that I uncovered this leaking astronomer’s identity, with all the substantiating details published in my second Venus book, Final Countdown: Rockets to Venus (Terra Alta, West Virginia: Headline Books, 2017), pages 110-113.

Of further interest, Lorenzen writes concerning the rumor circulating throughout Southern California of a mysterious planetoid some 300 miles in diameter that had been discovered by astronomers at the Palomar Observatory back in 1950, entering our solar system from above the plane of the ecliptic. The rouge planetoid dipped behind the Sun and was never detected since. The APRO director wondered if this wandering orb may have served as a base for the intense flying saucer flap that took place in the past two years. As the planetoid had changed its course, Lorenzen speculated that it might have been artificial, some kind of huge outer space station positioned behind the Sun to avoid observation by Earth-based telescopes.

Sky Watchers

No one could say in 1952 that the Air Force was close minded when it came to the subject of UFOs. Air Force brass were even inviting the public to become involved with UFO research, playing the role of “spotters” in the vicinity of strategic air and missile bases in the United States. This program of recruitment came to be known as Project Skywatch and was instituted by the Air Force on 15 July 1952. Project Skywatch was originally set to go into effect on 17 June 1952, but the Air Force hierarchy determined that slightly more time would be required to coordinate the program with the national defense grid, thereby ensuring that any spots where the country’s radar blanket was incomplete could be appropriately filled. Besides, Project Bluebook personnel noted that “Saucers have a tendency to be sighted in July, August and September with more frequency than at any other time of the year;” so waiting another month to “dot every i and cross every t” wasn’t going to hurt anything.

The emphasis of this program was on 27 of the then 48 states, these being the ones where most UFO sightings had been reported in previous years, as determined by Project Bluebook. Air Force administrators of Skywatch had sent out invitations to members of APRO and other flying saucer/UFO civilian investigations groups, attempting to recruit reliable spotters who could dedicate two or three hours in their community each week in manning a UFO observation post. It was a wonderful opportunity for budding ufologists, for in doing so, they would not only serve the national defense interests of protecting the country, but also be in a position to actually see a flying saucer with their own eyes, and actually be believed after reporting it. Lorenzen was encouraging the APRO membership to take advantage of this Skywatch program. Of course, in these early days of UFO investigations, there was always that fear of ridicule. To overcome this, Lorenzen wrote that, “You can bet if a saucer is sighted by an observation post, the information will not be made public.” Besides the data being protected under the aegis of the Air Force, Lorenzen noted that, “If you are on the job, you will at least have a chance through inquiry among other members of the watch to get the details.”

One of the greatest benefits of working on the inside with the Air Force on Project Skywatch was described by Lorenzen: “The evidence at hand seems to indicate that the Air Force, having had dead specimens from the saucers (the Mexico crash-landing and the New Mexico crash-landing referred to by Scully), are now concentrating on shooting down a ‘live one’ for the purpose of contact.”

Back in the early 1950s, of course, the possibilities of using radar as a UFO tracking device, or even an anti-UFO air defense weapon, were just beginning to be explored. So until such a time as these emerging radar technologies could be perfected to cover the whole of the United States air space, having active civilian UFO spotters in place to augment the defense grid would be ideal for both the Air Force and the Skywatch enlistees. As to radar systems, Frank Edwards, a Mutual Broadcasting news analyst sponsored by the American Federation of Labor, noted on the air during his 14 April 1952 reporting that, “I have it from the authority of the big brass at the Pentagon (Air Force) that the general belief among them is that the saucers are interplanetary vehicles and that contact has been attempted.” Edwards also declared that, “Last September an attempt was made to contact a saucer hovering over an undisclosed military base in Maryland. The attempt was made by means of ‘shooting’ into the saucer with a radar beam. The saucer was at a very high altitude; and when the beam was trained on it, it wobbled.”

The radio broadcaster further explained the situation: “Military men present could not discern whether the movement was a sign of recognition or whether the radar beam affected the controls or power supply of the craft.”

Lorenzen, although a patriotic American, came to question some of what she deemed an overly aggressive policy toward the UFOs being pursued by authorities in the Air Force, especially since the extraterrestrials, at least in the past, had displayed no signs of hostility toward humankind. As one of the roles for the spotters was to alert anti-aircraft installations along the projected route of a saucer, Lorenzen thought of issues inherent in this that even the Air Force personnel had not contemplated. The APRO director mused that, “Some of the things the Air Force evidently hasn’t considered, or are too thick-headed to give much thought to, is the rumored toughness of the skin of the saucers, their high altitude flying, rendering inaccessibility to anti-aircraft, and the probable consequences involved in shooting one down, should we somehow succeed in doing so. Besides, do you think they’ll hold still for that kind of ‘greeting’?”

While Project Skywatch never truly sparked the imagination of the American public, it did with the UFO community and members of APRO were among the first to sign up for it, being so urged to do so by Coral Lorenzen. While there was an evident downside, she and the membership found it difficult to pass up an insider’s pass to the workings of the Air Force’s ongoing UFO investigations and research.

Space Spies

The closer that APRO got to working in tandem with the Air Force, the more it seemed that other-worldly powers were taking an interest in the organization’s members. By the summer of 1952, Coral Lorenzen was aware of at least two of her APRO field investigators that were approached by so-called “space spies.”

An active APRO member and field investigator living in New York City told Lorenzen that he had reasons to believe that he contacted one such “space spy” at an atomic energy exhibit held in Manhattan in 1951. He said that the man gave him some sort of written message at the convention that he could not comprehend. In the ensuing year, he had shown the message to numerous linguistic experts at various New York colleges and universities; but none of these were able to make even an ethnic identification of the script. The APRO representative decided to keep the mysterious note writer under observation and promised to inform Lorenzen if any unusual behavior was evidenced by the possible spy.

Lorenzen became even more concerned when APRO’s Canadian representative reported the receipt of a letter from an airman stationed at Wright-Patterson Field in Dayton, Ohio. In his letter, the airman said he had overheard a rumor making the rounds on his base that the Air Force believes “space spies have landed and some on Earth are actually working in close conjunction with them.” The Ohio letter writer also wanted APRO to know that, “Those suspected of interplanetary espionage are being watched by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).”

Keep in mind that other civilian flying saucer and UFO investigators were under surveillance by the FBI Counterintelligence Program around the same time. Some like Albert K. Bender, founder of the highly successful International Flying Saucer Bureau (IFSB) in Bridgeport, Connecticut, reported several visitations by agents whom he described as the “three men in black.” These dark figures from the pages of ufology’s history allegedly threatened Bender’s life if he published some information in the IFSB’s monthly Space Review that he and his organization uncovered about the origin of the flying saucers and the aims of the alien operatives here on Earth. By 1953, Bender and other members of the IFSB had become so afraid of these visits by these three men in black that they unanimously decided it would be better to disband the group. After disassembling the IFSB, Bender warned fellow ufologists that, “We (he and the editorial staff of the Space Review) advise anyone involved in saucer work to please be very cautious.” The silencers had won the day.

And from the very start of his career as an author of UFO articles for Fate magazine and other periodicals, George Adamski of Mt. Palomar fame was the subject of intense FBI surveillance and intimidation. You can read all about Adamski’s run-ins with the FBI and its director J. Brazilian Saucer


On Wednesday, 7 May 1952, a flying saucer, blue-gray in color, was witnessed by hundreds of people passing over Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Fortunately, a cameraman and a journalist from the ever-popular O Cruzeiro magazine were in the area to faithfully record this spectacular event, hanging out, as it were, on the Tijuca Beach (Barra da Tijuca) when the object first appeared out over the ocean, heading toward the city at a fast clip. O Cruzeiro’s staff photographer, Ed Keffel, took five snapshots of the saucer. In the photographs, the UFO looked akin to a pot lid with a knob-like protuberance in the center. Keffel described the saucer as “coming in from the sea and passing several hundred feet over our heads. It appeared to be rocking like a slowly falling leaf, moving in a type of swooping motion.” The cameraman added that, “The object made a slow curve, picked up speed, headed back to sea and disappeared.” Keffel estimated that the object he saw and photographed was larger than a commercial airplane. It was round and wingless, definitely conforming to the traditional image one has of a flying saucer. The journalist accompanying Keffel, Joao Martins, wrote the original two dispatches for the International News Service (INS) about the incident that appeared in the cited Rio de Janeiro newspaper and other periodicals throughout Brazil, and a more detailed account in the 24 May 1952 issue of O Cruzeiro weekly magazine.

The second INS dispatch by Joao Martins declared that on Friday, 9 May 1952, a military attaché at the United States Embassy in Rio de Janeiro got involved in this case. United States Air Force Colonel Jack Worley Hughes, in the company of Brazilian Air Force officials, paid a visit to the offices of the news magazine O Cruzeiro to examine and study the series of five photographs taken by Keffel of the flying saucer, as well as to interview the photographer and the journalist Joao Martins. Martins noted that at first glance, the object “looked like an airplane coming at us, while we were in the outskirts of Rio. As the contraption neared, however, it looked like a plane flying sideways.” Martins then added that, “As it approached even closer, it was definitely an object, perfectly round, wingless and absolutely noiseless.”

Colonel Hughes, upon hearing Martins’ rendition of the UFO incident, expressed a special interest in the noiseless feature of the flying saucer, as well as its tremendous speed. The colonel told the editors of O Cruzeiro, “Frankly, I have no doubts on the authenticity of the photos taken by Keffel. There is no trick in them.”

Lorenzen somehow managed to get hold of an actual set of these photographs. Speaking for APRO, the director declared that, “We have seen and examined the pictures of the Rio saucer; and they are the clearest photos giving exact detail as to physical characteristics. The side view, as the saucer came in from the sea, showed a knob on top as if it were the cabin, another circular raised portion encircling the entire object, the rim or airfoil, and another circular protuberance on the bottom.”

An interesting aspect of this case is an oblique connection to George Adamski. Following the successful public reception of their Tijuca Beach story, the team of Keffel and Martins would go on to write many more articles about the UFO situation on a global scale for O Cruzeiro. One of the more important events they covered was the flying saucer convention held at the Skyline Lodge on the slopes of Mt. Palomar, California, on the 7-8 August 1954. The featured speakers were the prominent contactees George Adamski, Truman Bethurum and Daniel Fry. At the assembly, quite a stir was caused by the presence there of three persons, one young lady and two young men, believed to be Venusians by many in attendance insofar as the woman, Dolores Barrios, looked remarkably like a painting unveiled by Adamski of the Venusian flying saucer pilot called Orthon, who he claimed that he had talked to standing outside a Venusian scout ship that landed in the Mojave Desert back on 20 November 1952. All three remained aloof throughout the convention. Despite their shyness, Martins was able to interview Dolores Barrios and her two male companions, Donald Morand and Bill Jackmart, on 7 August 1952 at the convention; and on the following day, with the conclusion of the event at noon, Keffel was able to take a series of photos of the mysterious Dolores Barrios and her escorts standing along a tree line at the edge of the Skyline Lodge parking lot. A swarm of bees besieged those curiosity seekers streaming down a hill into the parking lot, coming after the trio. The bees kept the throng at bay long enough for Keffel to snap the now famous photographs of the “Venusian trio” before Dolores and her posse dematerialized in a luminous column of ionized air. It now becomes clear that Martins and Keffel had their contacts in the American ufology community with Coral and Jim Lorenzen at APRO, who were also friends of George Adamski. Over the years, the Lorenzens’ connections with Brazilian ufologists would only intensify, with Brazil becoming the locus of APRO’s attention in the Western Hemisphere. Coral and Jim Lorenzen even wrote a groundbreaking book about UFO sightings and encounters with flying saucer occupants in our neighboring countries to the south, UFOs Over the Americas (New York, New York: Signet, 1968), which also highlights the involvement of the Central Intelligence Agency in the UFO cover-up in Latin America.

Intelligent Life on Other Planets

Besides the proliferation of flying saucer and UFO articles in mainstream publications, such as Life and Look, Coral Lorenzen took note that the subject was also catching on mightily along the fringes of pop culture, i.e. in science fiction novels, the tabloid press, men’s magazines, etc. As odd as it seemed in the early 1950s, it was the outlying currents of the pop culture that would carry a consciousness of the flying saucer occupants as interplanetary emissaries to the fore in the emerging contactee movement, largely focused in Southern California. This, of course, would lead to a plethora of science fiction movies being produced in Hollywood that were subconsciously addressing the dire issues brought forth in the Cold War as well as the implications that any possible extraterrestrial disclosure would have on the future of American society in the atomic and space ages. Lorenzen, for her part, was greatly impressed with an article buried in the August 1952 issue of Man to Man, “There is Life on Other Planets,” authored by Leslie Lawrence (New York, New York: Volitant Publishing). She highly recommended that all APRO members go out and secure a copy of the August issue of Man to Man, then just hitting the newsstands, insofar as it completely embodied her vision of the cosmic powers behind the flying saucer phenomenon and the direction, along scientific lines of exobiology, where she wanted to steer APRO.

Here are some of the excerpts from Lawrence’s article that Lorenzen felt were of significant import for the APRO membership:

Fred Hoyle, scientist at Cambridge University in England, states that there are at least 100,000 planets capable of supporting life such as we know it within our Milky Way...:

“No recognized scientists have denied the existence of flying saucers. Reports of these vehicles were hushed only by official government agencies. Leading astronomers advance the following theory: Human civilizations exist elsewhere on planets similar to Earth. On older planets, this civilization is vastly superior to ours. There, human beings, much in appearance such as we are, have undoubtedly learned to live in peace; and to preserve their peace they have approached Earth in flying saucers in an effort to assure the safety of our futures. Until now they have failed. But someday they will arrive in sufficient numbers and they will force us to be sane. Scientists welcome this strange invasion. They do so for one important reason: They realize our need for the lesson that has already been learned on some other world.”

The revolutionary and visionary perspective of Coral Lorenzen saw a wider role for the enlightened membership of APRO in developing a more expansive and planetary consciousness in the world at large. I am proud to have been a member of APRO and to have known and worked with such APRO luminaries as Coral and Jim Lorenzen, Krsanna Duran of the Timestar website, Dr. James E. McDonald of the University of Arizona at Tucson, Earl J. Neff, Director of the Cleveland Ufology Project and Ohio APRO Representative; Dr. Frank Salisbury of Utah State University and Dr. Leo Sprinkle, now professor emeritus of the University of Wyoming at Laramie, who wrote the introduction to my first book in the Venus trilogy, Venus Rising: A Concise History of the Second Planet (Terra Alta, West Virginia: Headline Books, 2015).

'Mission Creep': The Unfortunate Path To Using Reptilians As Riot Control

Will there ever be a point when alien forces or combatants are used for riot control by the powers that be? The writer seems to believe that this option is available and ready.

In many "alternative" news circles, there have always been rumors of plans for the use of aggressive foreign troop peacekeepers in America. Like with many conspiracy rumors, this is a partial truth. Although it was true in past generations, there really aren't any overseas troops who are trained harder than our own regular, or special forces. Modern Chinese, European, and Russian troops simply have not faced the grueling living conditions that made their past generations so formidable in reputation. If we're going to cross that line of calling in foreign forces, we are going to use those that are genuinely more intimidating. Especially for non-lethal riot control, where the average foreign troop would fare absolutely no better than a local.

For almost a decade, Lon Strickler has allowed me to share my Reptilian experiences on his site. At times, the scenario I was putting forth seemed extremely improbable. I testified that our own police and military forces would eventually be so overwhelmed by civil unrest that they'd resort to alien troop assistance. Specifically, from Reptilian types. As I saw in a MILAB training exercise I was made to participate in, that is exactly what they've been strategizing.

Now it should be clear why.

We literally just saw civil unrest become so severe that the president had to hide in a bunker. A moment so embarrassing that he is now claiming he was "inspecting" it. I was not surprised to see that, at all. I've been telling you it's only a matter of time.

I've seen many recent mainstream news complaints about all the secret police that were deployed recently. That was exactly the same situation I reported in my anti-riot training abduction, with the Reptilians!

Here is the exact quote from what I wrote in 2012:

Probably the most interesting of my abductions is the one that took place in 2005, just a few months before Katrina. I was abducted by reptilians, and then forced to help them train in anti-riot techniques. This training was coordinated in concert with a US military group of indeterminate affiliation. They wore Dark BDU's, no insignias."

I'm glad I made note of this detail at the time. It seemed odd that they were staging such an elaborately expensive training exercise, with blank dark uniforms. Why cut such a specific small cost? Now, it's becoming more clear why.

When Reptilians are permitted to operate here in a crowd control role, they too will not be allowed to wear their own insignia. But, we'd also be hesitant to let them wear our own military's uniforms (for liability purposes).

What you will have instead is a replay of what Russia did in Eastern Ukraine. Insert Russian mercenaries & special forces who wear nothing actually proving they are such. Look at the public reaction to this practice. Absolutely nobody likes it. It's a terrible idea, suitable only for failed states.

One of the primary reasons I ever went public with this was because I knew this surprise deployment of unfamiliar forces would backfire. It's too contrary to our values and culture.

The best way to go about this would have been to use more honesty. Admittingly, we work with multiple other alien races and let them deploy here through existing frameworks. Either use an existing private military contractor, or let them create their own.

As much as people complained about Blackwater in New Orleans, at least they were liable for civil lawsuits and criminal court consequences. That's why, contrary to rumors, they were extremely well behaved there. Surprise deployment of forces with zero identification whatsoever, human or Reptilian, is not something that leads to anything but further distrust. You don't "shock and awe" your own backyard.

Of course the question is, when would they actually use these Reptilian forces. The second they do that, it's an admission that aliens exist, and we have secretly been working with them. That's not something they will admit to lightly. It would only be after most other forces have been depleted. We have recently gotten very close to that brink. The only question is, what is the next terrible decision that will trigger the next round of civil unrest backlash? My feeling is that it will likely be some sort of bi-partisan "mandatory national service" plan.

Perhaps this is why they're pushing disclosure. They certainly don't have enough public support for a draft against China. But, there's plenty of hostile alien races we could use as an excuse. There are a few Insectoid types not friendly with our military at all. Of course, most of these draftees will end up conducting literal local infrastructure ditch digging (for half the salary you'd pay union construction). The outrage against that will be totally justified.

I'd also suggest reading my last two articles. My last few abductions have been very revealing, in what I've experienced of our military's biotech experimentation. We are already well past the point of deploying "enhanced" troops. Recent events are certainly going to motivate them to ramp up this process.

Upright Canine / Bigfoot Activity in Michaux State Forest, Pennsylvania (Update)

The following is a report we received in August 2015 in reference to upright canine activity in Michaux State Forest, Pennsylvania. This area, in general, has been a location of interest to our associates and team members because of continued Bigfoot and cryptid canine sightings.

Hello Lon,

I just came across your site and listened to the Arcane episode about the need for people to submit info for your investigations. Let me start by saying I have no desire to experience any anomaly but for whatever reason, seem to draw them, much to my dismay. This is the 1st time I have spoken to anyone outside of family. Here is my encounter:

Place: Michaux State Forest PA / Cumberland County in Dead Woman’s Hollow

Time: Last weekend of August 2015

My husband and I began sitting around a fire pit at my sister’s cabin shortly before dusk. There was no one else present the entire time. As always, we were both armed. We also had a spotlight and were about 20 ft from the front door of the cabin. We both have been avid outdoor people all our lives with many, many hours hunting various wildlife, trapping, fishing, camping, canoeing and hiking.

My husband began playing around yelling weird sounds to get a reaction out of me because I was nervous for the first time out of all the times I had been there for some reason. To our surprise, something answered him from, I want to say, within 100 yds in the woods, with the same sounds he made. He stopped and we sat silently looking and listening for what it was. No more joking around.

The yells, probably 5 in total, came closer over the course of a few hours, until the last one heard was clearly within 40 yards of us. It was with that I decided to go inside. I had been shining the spotlight intermittently throughout the evening into the woods and thought I would do so one last time as we both walked towards the cabin.

That’s when I saw something for the first time...yellow eyes. It did not look away or blink, but remained staring back at me from the area the last yell came from. I tried to see its body but everything else was dark around it. When I said “I see eye shine!” to my husband, the eyes moved several feet sideways, staring at me the whole time, then disappeared completely. I have spotlighted deer and various animals and this was not the same. They were at least twice the size of a deer’s eyes and there was no indication it had turned it’s head or walked away, but instead gave the impression of stepping behind something.

Once inside the cabin, we retired for the night with the bed having been positioned directly under a window that was left open for ventilation. My husband slept undisturbed throughout the night. I, however, heard what sounded like wood chops 6 different times. I clearly heard a loud “crack” close by, also.

The next morning, I walked to the area of the last vocalization / eye shine down a path. I found the biggest tree in the area about 5 ft off the path. It was too big to put my arms around. I noticed a clear line from the tree to the path of disturbed leaves, as if something walked to the tree then returned the same way. None of the other leaves around were disturbed except the line continuing across the path in the opposite direction into thick cover. I also found a freshly broken tree limb, approx. 10" diameter and about 4' long, lying in the path, all of this within 10 sq ft. It appeared to have come from a live tree nearby and had been broken off several ft above my head.

I had every intention on investigating the scene even more but frankly, lost my wit (which is not like me) and returned to the fire pit to tidy up. I knew all this was abnormal and didn't feel right. That’s when the most frightening thing happened.

My attention was brought back to the big tree by really loud sounds of something BIG moving FAST towards me from the cover where the line of disturbed leaves were. I saw the foliage moving closer as I ran inside the cabin. I am sure I couldn’t have been but a second or two away from seeing it burst out into plain view, which is exactly what I did not want!

So what I would like to know is...what mimics people's voice, has large eyes that shine yellow at night, hides behind big trees, makes wood chopping sounds, breaks big limbs off of live trees and charges at people in broad daylight?

NOTE: This state forest has the Appalachian Trail traversing through it. A actually murder occurred near there - Dead Woman's Hollow - Rebecca Wight. But it actually got its name from the fact that a woman, whose identity is no longer known, was bitten by a snake and died there. After she was found the natives referred to this area and the road as the Dead Woman’s Hollow. There was also a crime / horror movie (fiction) made about the location - Dead Woman's Hollow (2013)

Anyway, the witnesses most likely had a run-in with a Bigfoot, which have been reported throughout Michaux State Forest. But then again, bi-pedal canines have been reported in Cumberland County and in Michaux SF. Yellow eyes are indicative of canine and / or feline.
