Scary 'Human-Like Being' Encounters: Arkansas, New York & Illinois

3 separate frightening encounters with human-like beings on Sugarloaf Mountain, Arkansas, New York's Adirondacks and in Rossville, Illinois.

"Years ago, while hiking with my girlfriend in a very isolated area on Sugarloaf Mountain, Arkansas, we discovered we were being stalked. It was late in the day, not dark yet, but getting there. We were on a path, with heavy woods on each side. We could hear movement in the woods - sounds of leaves rustling, branches snapping, etc. that seemed to parallel our path, and matched our movements. However, we couldn't see anything. We tested it...stopped walking to listen, and the noise would stop. Start and stop again, and it would match our movements. Finally, I left my girlfriend on the path and walked toward the noise.

I did see something that, to this day, I can't explain, and it scared me very badly. When I saw it, it had been behind a tree, and quickly ran away. It was probably 30 feet from me when it took off. Humanoid shape, extremely tall and thin. I have always described it as being almost skeletal. It was pale white. I'd estimate it was 7 feet tall or more. It ran away very quickly, which is a good thing because I was paralyzed with fear after seeing it. After a minute, I got my wits back a little, and went back to my girlfriend, and we got out of there. Luckily, we didn't have far to go. True story, and it made me realize that there are unexplainable things in this world." JS

"My father and his best friend had been hunting in some rugged terrain in the Adirondacks, but very wild and remote. They always parked at one of the power line clearings, where they could drive about halfway up a ridge and then start hunting from there.

On this late afternoon they were returning to the vehicle. The sun was below the mountain, but the sky was still light. It was deep twilight in the woods all around them. They both swore they heard something on the left side of the woods--they were just leaning against the car, talking--and then all of a sudden, they heard something huge crashing toward them, then past them, and incredibly quickly straight up to the ridge. It happened so quickly they couldn't even react. They knew the largest critter they would encounter would be a black bear and this sounded much larger and was running and bounding in an odd way.

They jumped in the car and as my father started it, they looked up at the ridge top and there, in silhouette between two large trees, was something that definitely had a human outline, not an animal's. It was much too large to be human. They were in a kind of shock because they said they were both thinking "Let's go! Let's get out of here!" but they just kept staring.

When the thing finally moved, it scared them into action because they were afraid it was going to come bounding back down the hill.

They never went back to their old hunting ground again. As they said, "That's what happened, that's what we heard and that's what we saw. No person or animal we know could bound quite like that so quickly through heavy woods and certainly none have that outline."

"This happened in the late summer of 2011 in Rossville, Illinois. Clear sky with a full moon if I remember right. It wasn't too long after sunset. My friend and I were walking through a cemetery on the edge of town. As we were walking down the main lane through the cemetery, something came running from the gate and past us on our left. My friend had laughed and asked if I had heard that, and I stopped walking and responded that no, but I had seen it. As the thing had passed between headstones I caught a look. Looked like a pale, emaciated humanoid that was running on all fours. It had no hair at all that I could see, and I did not get a look at the face. It was moving far faster than any person running on hands/feet should have been able to. My friend and I just stayed frozen there and waited for another friend to come and get us because we were too scared to move.

It continued to circle us, as we could hear it moving around. It never seemed threatening. If anything it seemed curious/scared of us. But who knows. I do know that it was not a coyote or a stray dog. I never saw the face but I did see the head; it did not have a muzzle. There was no tail, either. It definitely didn't have fur; it had pale, almost bluish skin and I remember I could make out the ribs from where I was standing. I was up all night researching this thing and when I did fall asleep I didn't sleep well." NL

Unknown 'Whistling' Humanoid Stalks Campers Along Jacks River, Georgia

2 brothers encounter an unknown 'whistling' humanoid while camping along Jacks River in north Georgia. The entity circled the campsite and was eventually seen in a tree.

I following account was recently forwarded to me:

"Growing up in the mountains of North Georgia, camping and hiking were things me and my brother did so often it was second nature. So anytime Rob and I had a break from school we would head straight for the woods. We packed our gear, let our parents know where we were going and that was that, no questions asked.

We decided to camp about midways through Jacks River Trail in the Cohutta Wilderness and it’s a trail we knew fairly well as we had used to a few times before to practice long hikes. We arrived at the trail head around lunch time, parked the car, got our gear out, and headed into the woods. We passed a few hikers as moved along and asked them how the trail looked and the answer was always the same, “wet.”

Jacks River Trail probably crossed the river fifty times as it went along its seventeen mile plus journey and with the colder temperatures of late fall settling in it was harder for the trail to stay dry. We moved deeper into the trail and started to look for a place to make camp. This is where Rob and I made our first mistake. You see, Rob and I have this rule. We don’t camp near people if at all possible.

Call us paranoid but the last thing we want is for someone to drag us out of our tents and into the woods never to be seen again. So we always camped a pretty decent ways off of the trail and in the area that wasn’t popular with overnight camping.

Roughly two and half hours or so we found what we thought was the perfect place to set up for the two nights that we would be out. We came up to Horseshoe Bend and ventured about half a mile off the trail into a clearing and set up. We built a teepee fire lay for that night and pitched our tents on either side. After setting up and unloading we decided to walk back to the trail and go exploring around some of many swimming holes Jacks River had to offer.

This was during Thanksgiving break and I remember being surprised at how few people were on the trail. Maybe it was the weather or the fact that this was early in the week but there didn’t seem to be anyone hiking much less staying the night. Around five o'clock Rob and I headed back to camp to start our fire, make dinner, and settle in for the night. As soon as the sun began to set the cold rushed in. We added more wood to the fire, sat close and just enjoyed conversation.

Rob was two years behind me in school. I was a senior and he was a sophomore, but growing up we had always been close. We always hung out in the same groups, played the same sports, had the same hobbies, etc. Around 9 pm we were settled comfortably around the fire. I had just text our mom to let her know we were safe and getting ready for bed and I remember we were talking about dreading going to our grandparent's house for Thanksgiving and having the same awkward conversations we had each year with family we only saw on holidays when things started to get strange.

We were no stranger to sounds in the woods and these woods were full of animals, from deer to black bears and even the random wild boar. If you are in the woods enough you learn to distinguish certain sounds and what we were hearing I can only chalk up to as odd. What Ryan and I heard was what sounded like someone sneaking around slowly just out of eyesight. With an animal walking on four legs you hear a tighter group of steps but what we were hearing sound very distinct to what a human sounds like when walking slowly or trying to move without making much sound.

I remember we both pulled out our flashlights and shown it in the direction we felt the sounds were coming from but that is what was so weird. Whenever we would fix our lights on a spot we thought the sound were coming from the location of the sound would suddenly change.

It was as if there were multiple people walking around us. That’s when the whistling started. At first I thought it was the wind and I remember thinking maybe the wind is just throwing leaves around and what we are hearing is nothing but the wilderness around us. Rob looked at me and asked if I was hearing that. I didn’t answer and was trying to focus hard on each individual sound. Two consecutive notes with roughly a three to four second gap and then two more consecutive notes. Over and over again.

Rob kept asking if I heard that and I put my finger to my lips trying to keep him from talking. The fear I felt was incredible. My jaw was tight, my fist clenched, knowing I wasn’t ready for whatever was out there if it was anything at all. The whistling continued for what felt like forever but thinking it through was maybe five minutes when Ryan finally yelled out into the darkness. “HEY!” Quiet. The whistling stopped. The crunching of the woods stopped. Nothing. I was pissed. I looked at Rob with a “what the hell” look and he shrugged his shoulders. “I had to do something.” he said. I just shook my head.

We sat there in silence for a few minutes when the woods erupted with noise. Something or someone was running in a circle around our campsite. The whistling came back. Two consecutive notes with the same three to four second gap and then two more consecutive notes. How could someone whistle this loudly without cracking while also running? I was done. I stood up shining my flashlight in all directions trying to catch a glimpse of whatever was screwing with us. Nothing. It felt close enough to touch but we never saw a thing. That’s when the movement stopped but the whistling was still constant.

It was so loud. Inhumanly loud. I looked at Rob and told him to call the police. Now this is the part I will never forget. The part I never like to talk about. While Rob was on the phone with a dispatcher and telling them our location and what was going on I stepped around the fire towards my tent. Inside my bag I had a six inch fixed blade that I always carried and thought I would feel a bit more comfortable with it in my hand more than just my flashlight. As I went to unzip my tent, trying to keep my eyes toward the woods, I heard some movement directly in front of me.

I swept my light up in front of me and for maybe two seconds I saw it. Whatever this person or thing was, it was about five feet up in a tree. Everything about it was long. Its arms, legs, neck, fingers, everything. And it was fast. As soon as the light hit it launched backwards off of the tree. I heard it land but it either jumped an impossible distance or landed in a thicket because I heard it but never saw.

I don’t think I have ever yelled so loud. I ran back to where Rob was and sat down. He kept asking me what I saw but I couldn’t answer. I just kept thinking about what I saw. Maybe ten minutes later we saw a couple of flashlight beams coming through the woods and three guys came into view asking if everything was ok. I settled a bit and started asking them if they had seen or heard anything.

All they said was they heard a lot of movement and then heard my scream and that’s when they headed in our direction. I tried to explain what had happened without sounding crazy but it didn’t seem to work.One of the guys walked around a bit and came back and said he didn’t see anything. Rob told them that we called the police and roughly thirty minutes later a park ranger showed up.

Rob and I tried explaining everything to him but he just chalked it up to either a curious animal or some campers trying to mess with us. Either way Rob and I decided we weren’t staying the night. We packed our stuff up and walked out of the woods with the ranger. He took our statement and we got in our car and drove home.

Rob and I don’t talk about what happened that night but neither of us have been back to Jacks River Trail and will probably never go back." MA

Massive Dark Bipedal Entities (Possible Bigfoot) Seen at Port Angeles, WA Residence

A Port Angeles, Washington resident reports continued sightings of massive dark bipedal entities in their yard. There has also been a number of other unexplained incidents.

"On January 10th and 11th (2020) a huge storm rolled into Port Angeles, WA (Clallam County) and covered the town with a heavy coating of snow that essentially stopped the town. Since we don’t have the means to rapidly clear snow from the streets, so most people couldn’t leave their houses for days.

I hadn’t been able to work so I ended up sleeping during the day and spending all night baking to keep the house warm with the oven. On January 12th at 2:30 in the morning I was standing in my kitchen making baked donuts and had just put a fresh pan of batter in the oven when I decided my back hurt from standing so long. So, while my donuts were in the oven, I prepared a bowl of marijuana to take in the bathroom and smoke while I waited. I wanted to hear the oven timer when it went off.

Normally I’d go outside but this particular time I was sitting in the bathroom on the closed toilet seat since there’s a window right there. I had prepped everything and had my lighter but I had not yet gotten high or hit the bowl. I stood up off the toilet seat to open the window. We keep a knife in the sill to keep it from being opened from the outside, so I removed that and lifted the curtain. The snow meant everything was quite illuminated outside and the minute I lifted the curtain I saw it.

It was probably at least eight feet tall, standing under a tree in the corner of my yard. It turned at an angle as it was watching something off to the side of my yard. When I opened the window and saw it, it saw me and turned to look at me. It was a massive, dark bipedal figure with a clear head and shoulders like a human although I never saw a clear neck as the shoulders were so massive the silhouette of the head just kind of melted into the shadow of the rest of it. It was too dark for distinguishing features but light enough that I could clearly see the head turn towards me.

When I opened the window and saw it I was immediately struck with terror, but when it turned and acknowledged me I experienced the most fear I have ever felt in my whole life. I was completely paralyzed, unable to move or do anything but stare at it. When it finally turned away after a few moments I was released from the terror and I pulled away from the window and immediately ran to tell my stepfather there was something out in the yard. I just started to sob, I was so frightened, and my stepfather and mother immediately knew something just wasn’t right. He went to the bathroom to look out the window.

But by this time the thing was already gone, having turned away while I was still at the window. But my stepdad noticed that suddenly there were three deer in the backyard who had not been there before and they were very skittish, trying desperately to find a path over a fence in our yard that most of the deer casually stroll around. I assume they must have entered from the corner of the yard in the direction of where the thing was looking, evident by their tracks in the snow. I think they were still making their way from the front yard to the side when I saw the thing. So at the time I never saw the deer, just the thing pointing in that direction.

We do live more in the city limits. However there’s a lot of dead-end roads leading to small forested patches, and the deer live in our yard quite a lot. We have had predators like cougars use our backyard as a hunting ground so I suspect the thing I saw was hunting deer when I interrupted it.

In the morning my mom made her way through the snow where I’d seen the creature beneath the tree. She came back in very confused, said that there were unusual imprints beneath the tree but that they didn’t go to or lead from anywhere, they stretched only for several feet then disappeared.

Our house has had unusual activity in the corners of the property, and many times when we would be outside smoking in the late hours of the night the frogs and all outdoor sounds would cut suddenly, and the forest would become so deathly still. It spooked my mom and I both on multiple occasions before this point and my stepdad, who is a skeptic and a doubter of most spiritual topics, had ushered us inside a few times following different occurrences of this silence.

This is the only occasion I have witnessed this particular creature, however since my sighting my mom has become very aware of something when she is outside and frequently complains that she sees movement from her peripheral but that when she turns to look there is nothing there. One night however she saw a very dark, shadowy human figure dart from the tree line across our neighbor’s yard at an inhuman speed. She was very sure that what she saw was not a person.

I am unsure of the exact timeline of her sighting but about two weeks after my initial sighting, I had another strange encounter. This time I was outside on our balcony smoking, about the same time at night. The main section of our house is on the second story so the balcony overlooks a small section of roof and then the backyard. We used to keep chickens and they would frequently get attacked by predators. So part of our routine outside includes shining a flashlight around multiple times a night. I was flashing it around the yard when a massive, furry shape passed directly in front of the beam of light and crossed the yard. It was much taller and wider than a human but it was not touching the ground, and it moved so fast the only part of it I saw was the shiny reflect of light bouncing off of black fur. The patio door also became stuck closed and I had to beat and scream for someone to let me in. It wasn’t locked and my mom was irritated initially that I had been screaming for her to let me in when the door was unlocked, until I told her what I saw.

There are a couple of UFO sightings we had around the same time, one which she saw coming home from work and one which went on for several weeks and was witnessed by both of us as well as my stepdad, but for brevity I will leave it at these for now." K

'Crawling' Pale Humanoids Seen at Horse Boarding Barns Around Pensacola, Florida

A witness and others boarding horses around the Pensacola, Florida area have observed crawling pale humanoids at several locations at night.

The creature I'm about to describe has never tried harming me, but it has often times made me feel unsafe and threatened. As the years have passed, I've began paying less mind to it and just putting the feeling in the back of my mind.

January 2012, I bought a horse and began boarding it at a very old barn near Pensacola, Florida. It was a small, tight knit, friendly barn community not far from my home. It'd been around since the 60s, surrounded by woods. There were 3 barns, the main arena was entirely surrounded by thick woods, and there were small trails in the woods behind the property.

Fast forward to June 2012. I had two horses there now. I was there every single day without fail, 2 pm-10 pm. I fed the horses and cared for them.
I rode one every night as well, mainly in the arena, but sometimes in the barnyard. There were no field or arena lights, just the moon and stars.

One evening, around 5 pm, I was sitting on her, letting her stand when she started snorting and backing up. I looked up and saw this white/grey creature crawling out of the woods towards us. It had a very small round head, it's eyes were just pits. It had a very small mouth, not much detail there. It's arms were very long and thin, fingers also like that. Its rib cage was very pronounced and defined, and it's legs were long and lanky. Its movements were very jerky, not smooth and fluid. It slowly jerked out to us, when my horse turned and bolted out of the arena. She's a dead broke, calm, well-mannered horse who never spooked before this. Stubborn old mare, but not spooky. She would not go back into the arena that night.

I walked her around the barnyard, staying near the main barn, put her up, and ran out to peek into the arena, to find nothing except some "footprints" where I saw the thing. Throughout the summer, I saw it peeking, almost dancing, around the gate that lead into the woods where the trails were.

One night roughly a month later, at about 9 pm, I was riding that horse again in a front pasture. The moon as full and bright, and I looked to my left to see that creature running full spread by my side on the other side of the fence, I slowed my horse to a stop and it took off around the corner and behind the side barn into the woods.

I continued seeing it, mainly in the woods. It was always around.

Summer 2013, the barn shut down when the owner died. We moved the horses to a friend's place for the time being, and I didn't see it there.

Late summer/fall 2013, I found a new barn with woods directly behind the barn and arena. This place had lights and was much newer.

About a month later, when I was getting ready to leave I heard something in the woods. I looked down the barn aisle into the woods and saw the creature running down the road into the woods.

I saw it much less frequently for a while, until later in fall 2014 I began seeing it in the back pastures woods, it darted in and out of the tree line.

I saw a second one sitting in a neighbor's yard. It would sit in the same spot every day and watch me ride.

I started taking pictures, which are very poor and crappy, and sent them to a friend who claimed he and some others have seen it.

I kept seeing it occasionally, but from a much greater distance than at the first barn. I went with this barn owner to another farm to get some stuff, when I saw a very very large version of this creature run out from the woods, right behind a tree I was 10 feet from, while I was alone by the trailer.

Last November, I house-sat for the barn owners. I went out around 2 am to fill water troughs and enjoy the full moon and cool night. I was sitting in the back pasture when 3 of the creatures began coming from the woods, one came up to the trees near the trough where I was, the other two were walking along the tree line.

The horses were silently munching their hay, pretty far from where the creatures were. I messaged the guy from earlier and told him what was going on.

Since that incident, I haven't really seen them.

Last summer, I did see one outside my house staring into the windows.

A few weeks ago, one was outside my bedroom windows tapping and making a strange faint shrieking sound.

I hope someone reads this and helps me figure this out some more, including anything else that could or could not be connected to this thing." KP

Foul-Smelling 'Deer Man' Encountered in Northeast Arkansas

A delivery driver encounters, what he describes as, a 7 ft. foul-smelling antlered 'deer man' on a dark rural road in Northeast Arkansas

I recently came across the following account:

"This happened to me in January 2014, on a back road in Northeast Arkansas. At the time I was a newspaper delivery driver. I picked up my papers from the press usually at 12:15 am, and it was a 45-minute drive to get to the start of my route.

At the time I was a cigarette smoker, so after I bagged up enough newspapers to sustain my route for a while, I’d light up a cigarette and roll the window down. Being cold, I tried to keep it up as much as possible because my car back then didn’t have A/C.

There’s a really long stretch of gravel road called Old Military Rd near Harrisburg, Arkansas. On the left side of the road are mostly houses and on the right is fence posts and open pasture with barns and troughs for horses and cows. It is in the middle of nowhere though. There are no streetlights, some people have floodlights in their yard. So I’m driving along with my windows down smoking a cigarette. It’s about 2:20-2:30 am and begin smelling a combination of burning hair and urine. Like, not a mixture of the two, but one and also the other. It isn’t a great smell. I toss the cigarette and roll my window up but can still smell whatever this awful smell is. The further I go down the road the worse the smell gets. Usually see some of the cows sleeping outside or horses chilling sometimes, but nothing tonight. So I know that I’m not the only one that picked up on something being weird that night.

As I’m coming up to a fork in the road, I have to take the left, there is a big open field to the far right, I see what looks like a man with a deer’s head. It was too dark for me to tell whether it was a man wearing a deer skull or an actual human/deer cross, but it was definitely the source of the whatever the smell was. It scared the f*ck out of me and I didn’t want to hang out long enough to figure out exactly what it was.

To my perception, he was at shoulder height, 7 feet tall. The head probably added a foot of height, I don’t know, but he was massive. They were definitely deer antlers. And the smell was disgusting. I saw him stretch his arms, imagine flexing your arms and chest by making a wide “C” with your arms. His movement, for the 2-3 seconds I saw him, looked to be human.

I found a new job by late January and started by February, was not interested in ever being out in that area again. Creepy deer man, let’s not meet." PK

Tall Pale Humanoid Approaches Shocked Camper at Ovens National Park, Nova Scotia

A young camper is approached by a tall pale humanoid while sitting on a trail bench in the Ovens National Park in Nova Scotia at night. Was it a spirit or an actual living being?

"Before this incident, I had never had a paranormal experience in my life. That being said, my boyfriend seems to have enough for the both of us.

We went camping in the early fall of 2016 at Ovens National Park, Nova Scotia. We had just arrived back from spending the summer in western Canada and hadn't seen each other in four months. So we decided to spend some time together and go camping with another couple that were close friends of ours. We booked the cheapest cabin at the campground for two nights and headed out.

The first day we spent there was pretty uneventful. To give some context, the park is famous for its sea caves that are carved into the rocky cliffs of the Nova Scotian east shore. The first day we hiked the trail that overlooked the caves (or the Ovens as they were called) and we were able to go down into some of them. That night we had a campfire, but turned in early. So we sat inside the small cabin and started playing cards. My boyfriend was being a sore loser, and seemed to be acting kind of strange. He abruptly said he was going for a walk and left the cabin. I was pretty annoyed and just let him go for a while and didn't chase him.

After about half an hour I started to get a bit anxious and called his cell. This is where things started to get really weird. He didn't answer at first, but he called me back right away. When I answered he seemed to have calmed down a bit, and I asked him where he was. He said he was sitting on a bench on the trail, then he asked where I was. This confused me a bit because I hadn't left the cabin since he left, and I wasn't likely to since I'm terrified of the dark. I told him this and this suddenly freaked him out. He said he was coming back to the cabin. It was weird because he's generally pretty level-headed and hard to actually scare.

So after about two to three minutes I hear running footsteps coming to the cabin and my boyfriend comes tearing through the door. Then this is what he told me:

He had walked out to the trails to get some fresh air and sat down on one of the benches to look out at the ocean. The moon was pretty bright that night. so everything was illuminated pretty well. Then he said he heard someone walking by and he saw this really tall and pale figure stop and look at him, and then continue on. For some reason he assumed this was me coming to look for him, and that's when I called him and told him I was in the cabin. He said, that in retrospect, the figure was inhumanly tall and pale and couldn't possibly be a person. He was not himself for the rest of the night and didn't seem normal until lunch the next day. Do you have any idea about what this might have been?" LB

Winged Humanoid Seen Flying Through Franklin Park, Illinois Alley

During the early summer of 2019, a Franklin Park, Illinois (Chicago suburb) resident observes a large winged humanoid flying through the alley behind his home.

I recently received the following information from a witness 'EV' who observed, what he stated as, a winged humanoid in the alley behind his house in Franklin Park, IL.

On an early summer night in 2019 between 10 pm to midnight, EV was at his kitchen sink looking out the window, which overlooks his backyard and alley beyond that. He is facing west. Along the utility lines in the alley, he saw what looked like a large, dark man-sized bat-bird 'thing' gliding along the power lines. It went pretty quick, didn't stop, and he didn't see it again.

When he volunteered this info, his wife rolled her eyes and laughed, which is partly why he didn't really want to admit it. His wife and sister-in-law both think it's hysterical, but it was suggested to him by his brother-in-law that his sighting be documented somewhere. He brought it up not long after it occurred but didn't dwell on it much. But after finding and looking at the Chicago & Regional Winged Humanoid / Flying Entity Sightings & Encounters Interactive Map, it seemed to him that the sighting and location should be noted. His house with the alley, where it was spotted (without giving away the exact location for his privacy), is in Franklin Park, IL between Minneapolis Ave. and Belmont Ave. (East and West) and Elder Ln. and Hawthorne St (North and South).

The sighting was quite fleeting, but what impressed EV was the size of the winged being. It was much too large to be any bird known in the area and it had a human-like form to the body. This location is less than one mile southeast of O'Hare International Airport. The witness was reluctant, but willing, to discuss his experience. Lon



NOTE: In the late Summer of 2011, reports of Mothman-like flying humanoids began to surface in the city of Chicago. After three brief sightings, there were no further accounts. Then unexpectedly in early 2017, a smattering of encounters emerged from different locations throughout the Chicago metro area; until the number reached near fifty sightings before the end of the Summer. The currently number of viable sightings reported has reached 105...and it continues. We are determined to find the truth.

Headless Shadowy Humanoid Seen Climbing Tree in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania

A thin headless humanoid was encountered climbing a tree in a wooded area in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. The location is known for strange activity and sightings over the years.

"First some side information: I live in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, and was doing an amateur paranormal investigation in a small wooded area. There is a large recently built church, in the area (off of Derry St.). I call the area the 'Broken Bridge' due to having a few bridges around from horse and buggy days. The area is notorious for having high amounts of paranormal activity.

About 10 years ago, early summer I was visiting the area with my girlfriend around sunset. We were laying in the grass next to the creek that separates the Broken Bridge area. Shortly we heard this giant 'snap!' as this tree limb from pretty high up fell to the ground maybe 50 feet away from us. This 'figure' stood up from the spot if fell and started running extremely fast and far away. The figure, the best way to describe it, was a shadowy humanoid. It was about 5 or 6 feet tall, and had long, skinny limbs, but where a head would normally be, there was none. Basically picture a 'Slenderman' type character, just formed of shadows and headless. That's what I saw years ago. From that day on, I have come to that area at night multiple times without seeing it again.

More recently, two friends and I were doing an amateur paranormal investigation in the same area. Aside from seeing normal shadow people (with heads and normal limbs) waltzing around the area, some unexplained voices and such, nothing has stuck out and spooked me like what happened. We were standing between a field opening and a few isolated trees. These trees aren't very large, small enough to be climbed, but not a lot of footing available as we've tried climbing them before. My buddy Matt shined his flashlight at one of the trees while myself and another friend were looking away. A loud scratching/clanking noise was heard for a second and Matt quickly became terrified screaming 'something just climbed that tree, something fucking humanoid climbed that tree' (side note the tree was maybe 60 feet or so tall, and the thing was climbing from the very bottom). Spooked we backed away and left the area. Later that night, Matt was obviously spooked, which isn't an easy thing knowing him.

I drew out the 'creature' I had seen years ago, and his face becomes pale as he tells me that is exactly what he saw climb the tree. I have no idea what the hell this thing is, nor do I know any similar animals in the area. In central Pennsylvania we'll get the occasional bear. This humanoid wasn't a bear, neither of us believe it was.

Weird Encounters: Rake Humanoid, Human Mimic & Thin Running Being

3 weird encounters with unknown humanoids and entities. One was described as a 'Rake', another as a human mimic and finally a thin running being.

"June 14, 2020 - 2:00 am - I heard dog barking. Went outside to see what the dog was carrying on about. I followed the dog to the edge of the tree line. Sent beam of light into the trees. The dog stayed at edge of trees. Would not move any further. Barked and barked. The light caught eye shine of this Rake that had been starting to climb up a tree. The Rake shrunk back down the tree and into bushes at base of tree. The dog ran off from the trees. I kept hearing The Rake moving around in the concealed bushes. In the looks of this Rake had a sunken eyes with which looked like a skeletons head. Thin body with milky pale white complexion. Looked like a walking skeleton. I stood there for 19 minutes waiting for it to show itself again but it never did." FC

We have long moved from that house but the incidents haunt me till this day. This happened about 10 years ago, I am now 21. We have a small family my mom, my father and I. My father worked from 7 am to 9 pm so he was not home for most part of the day. My mother taught at a local pre-school and was home by 1 pm and I'd come home from school around the same time.

One day I came home from school and called out for my mother but I got no reply. I went into her bedroom and saw her sleeping. I figured she must be tired so I didn't bother her. I made myself a sandwich and went to her room and slept next to her. She started stroking my hair not really saying anything and I fell asleep.

It would have been 30 minutes when I heard my doorbell ring. I got up and saw that my mother was not in bed. I went out and opened the door and saw my mom, still in her work clothes. I was confused and she frantically apologized to me for getting late as one of her students had an incident at school and asked me if I had eaten anything. I was confused but replied that I made myself sandwich. I didn't tell her anything.

A few days passed. It was Saturday so both of my parents were home. We planned to go to the park and I jumped into shower to get ready. I was taking my shower when I heard my bathroom door open. I couldn't see who opened it as shower curtain was blocking my view. I heard my mother's voice. She kept my towel on the stand and I only got glimpses of her hand. She said that we weren't going to the picnic anymore. I was sad. I came out of shower crying and asked my mom why weren't we going to park and she asked me who told me that. i told her that she did and she said she didn't come inside bathroom. After this I'd hear movements around the house and hear a women hum a peculiar tune in my mother's voice, but i knew it wasn't my mom. Luckily we didn't stay in that house long and moved out a month later. I still hear that tune at times but now I don't see anyone." KC

"In November, I was out early morning in my neighborhood with my dog. We were walking our normal route as the night slowly turned to dawn.

About 50 yards away from us, moving left to right was an unnaturally thin being running with the full Forrest Gump arm pump. This thing was running as if the devil and half of hell were after it.

It runs up into a yard and comes to a dead stop at the corner of the house. It blended perfectly against the siding and shutters on the house as this thing was grayish on bottom and dark up top.

The dog and I kept walking, albeit a bit slower, toward this house. I kept my eyes on it and my 70 pound Amstaff mix was showing no signs of fear.

I thought it might be a runner who had to relieve themselves but there was no movement, no breath fog. Perfectly still. Or perhaps a peeping tom?

As we get closer, the figure goes to the back of the house. By the time we get to the house, there's no sign of it.

Oddest thing was there was a heavy frost that morning and absolutely no signs of footprints." NN

'Mothman' Witness Believes Sighting Was A Warning Before 1990 Plainfield, Illinois Tornado

A woman driving home late at night encounters a humanoid that she believes was a Mothman and that it was a harbinger of a tragic tornado only days later in Plainfield, Illinois.

I recently received the following account:

"My Mothman experience happened in 1990, before I even heard of the thing. Long after, I watched the movie (The Mothman Prophecies) and decided to buy the book to learn more about this Mothman. I completely forgot all about my 1990 experience. Then all of a sudden I remembered what I simply put out of my head long ago.

I had fallen asleep at my friend's house. At 3 am I woke and decided to drive home. It was August and extremely hot outside.

As I got to the end of the street, I stopped at the stop sign. I got this really strange feeling. My hair was sticking up on my neck. Nevertheless, I'm thinking, 'this can't be good.' I looked and there was what looked like a man walking down the sidewalk. Not unheard of but, he stood nearly 7 feet tall as I saw this 'man' in the street lights clearly now.

Being that it was nearly 90° F out, he had a very long trench leather jacket on, and a cowboy hat. Now already, it's way too hot for that outfit. Getting more of a fight or flight feeling, I watched as he kept his head down. I saw no face. Suddenly, it turned and started to rush at me in my car. So I hit reverse and backed up super fast just hoping it wasn't really going come after me. I say "IT" due to the fact I am now 99.9% sure that's not human. So I put my car into drive and hit the pedal.

I hit that thing and it flew over the hood and the top of my car. I went drove 90 mph all the way home. I figured if it was 1% human, I'd see a hit and run report on the news. But nothing.

Later within the next week without any warning Plainfield had the worst tornado in its history. An F5 tornado. People died and the was town destroyed. Absolute major disaster. The August 28th, 1990 Plainfield Tornado

So, was it there to warn that something awful was about to happen? I know there were many UFO sightings right before also. MUFON recorded that. All I know is that thing wasn't human. This occurred before I ever heard of this Mothman." AD
