Soviet General Found ALMAS BODY After Bandits ATTACKED & KILLED BY APE-LIKE CREATURES!

According to Soviet major-general Mikhail Stephanovitch Topilski, in 1925 his forces chased an opposing guerilla force into a cave where most of the enemy met their deaths. However, one of the surviving enemy soldiers said that while in the cave they had been attacked by several apelike creatures. One of their bodies was brought out, about which Maj. Gen. Topilski related the following, which is here translated into English:

"Continuing our chase, we caught up with what was left of the exhausted gang, who had stopped for a rest at a place where the glacier was split apart by a stone cliff. The upper tongue of the glacier hung from the cliff in which there was a crevice or cave. We surrounded the gang and took up a position above where they were resting. A machine gun was placed in position. When we threw the first grenade, a man (a Russian officer) ran out onto the glacier and started shouting that the shooter would make the ice cave in and that everyone would be buried. When we demanded that they surrender he asked for time to talk it over with the other bandits and went back into the cave. Soon after we heard an ominous hissing as the ice began to move. At almost the same moment we heard shots, and not knowing what they meant decided that it was the beginning of an assault.

Pieces of snow and ice started falling down from the cliff, gradually burying the entrance to the cave. When it was nearly buried three men managed to escape, and the rest were buried under the debris. Our shots killed two of the bandits and seriously wounded the third. When we reached him, he showed us the spot where the body of a Russian officer was buried and we dug it out. The wounded man turned out to be an Uzbek tea-house owner from Samarkand.

We questioned him and he gave us the following information. While the bandits were discussing our order to surrender, some hairy man-like creatures, howling inarticulately, appeared in the cave through the crevice (which possibly led upwards from the cave). There were several of them and they had sticks in their hands. The bandits tried to shoot their way through. One of the bandits was killed by the creatures with the sticks. Our narrator received a blow from a stick on his shoulder and rushed to the cave entrance with one of the monsters hard on his heels. It ran out of the cave after him, but he shot it and it was buried under the snow.

To check up on this strange story we made him show us the exact spot and cleared the show away. We recovered the body all right. It had three bullet wounds. Not far off we found a stick made of very hard wood, though it cannot be stated for certain that it belonged to the creature. At first glance, I thought the body was that of an ape. It was covered with hair all over. But I knew there were no apes in the Pamirs. Also, the body itself looked very much like that of a man. We tried pulling the hair, to see if it was just a hide used for disguise, but found that it was the creature’s own natural hair. We turned the body over several times on its back and its front and measured it. Our doctor made a long and thorough inspection of the body, and it was clear that it was not a human being.

The body had three bullet wounds. Not far off we found a stick made of very hard wood, though it cannot be stated for certain that it belonged to the creature. At first glance, I thought the body was that of an ape. It was covered with hair all over. But I knew there were no apes in the Pamirs. Also, the body itself looked very much like that of a man. We turned the body over several times on its back and its front and measured it. Our doctor (who was killed later the same year) made a long and thorough inspection of the body, and it was clear that it was not a human.

The body belonged to a male creature 170 cm tall, elderly or even old judging by the greyish color of the hair in places. The chest was covered by brownish hair and the belly with greyish hair. The hair was longer but sparser on the chest but short and thick on the belly. In general, the hair was very thick, without any underfur. There was last hair on the buttocks, from which fat our doctor deduced that the creature sat like a human being. There was most hair on the hips. The knees were completely bare of hair and had callous growths on them. The whole foot including the sole was quite hairless and was covered by hard brown skin. The hair got thinner near the hand and the palms had none at all, but only callous skin.

The color of the face was dark, and the creature had neither beard nor mustache. The temples were bald and the back of the head was covered by thick, matted hair. The dead creature lay with its eyes open and its teeth bared. The eyes were dark and the teeth were large and even and shaped like human teeth. The forehead was slanting and the eyebrows were very powerful. The protruding jawbones made the face resemble the Mongol type of face. The nose was flat with a deeply sunk bridge. The ears were hairless and looked a little more pointed than a human being's with a longer lope. The lower jaw was very massive.

The creature had a very powerful chest and well-developed muscles. We didn't find any important anatomical difference between it and man. The genitalia were like a man's. The arms were of normal length, the hands were slightly wider and the feet much wider and shorter than a man's.

We did not know exactly where we were, because no accurate maps of the Pamirs were then in existence. But we must have been somewhere between the Yazgulem and the Rushan Ranges. As we had completed our task we had to return. The nature of the dead creature presented us with a problem. But it was impossible to take the body with us on the difficult trek that lay ahead. Also, it could have caused complications with the local population. We could say, of course, that we were carrying the body of an animal, but the creature looked too much like a human being. We thought about skinning it, but it was too much like skinning a man. In the end, we decided to bury the creature where we had found it. We did not try to enter the cave because we were afraid of another cave-in."

'SCIENTIST' Claims SASQUATCH Procreate Deep In Forests

Bigfoot is real and has been procreating, according to Brittany Barbieri. These forest-dwelling creatures have been allegedly spotted mating in woodlands and reportedly living in large packs deep within the woods.

Explorers studied the Sasquatch, seeking evidence of its existence in the dense forests of British Columbia, Canada. Leading cryptozoologist Brittany Barbieri, host of the Discovery documentary series Lost Monster Files, believes she was observed by Yeti families during her research in the wilderness.

"Those in the area live with the idea that they are there. The forest is expansive, with much of it impassable to humans. These clever tribes - and we believe they are a tribe - of creatures, could be undiscovered forever if they wanted to. These stories wouldn't persist if people weren't continually seeing it."

The team conducted tests using barbed wire which caught hairs believed to belong to younger members of the Bigfoot family.

"The younger they are, the more curious they are, and eventually the older creatures teach the young to stay hidden over time. They are very agile in their foot placement for a reason and you will not see them unless they want you to. You will hear deer but not a Sasquatch."

She continued: "We believe they were watching us the entire time and we could not have known. The human scent is much stronger, they knew we were coming, and there were many times we would know we were near as it would go silent. There was something bigger in the woods and the wildlife like birds knew it."

NOTE: The article where this was reported identified Barbieri as a 'scientist.' If you read her bio, Barbieri is not an educated or accredited scientist, though she is supposedly a friend of Professor Jeff Meldrum. Cryptozoology doesn't use the scientific method. Instead, cryptozoologists rely on historical documents, eyewitness accounts, and their own observations. However, some argue that cryptozoology should be considered a legitimate science. MT. RAINIER UFOs & Possible MEN IN BLACK Activity

The following report was forwarded to me by Butch Witkowski several years ago, not long before he and I started investigating together.

"In June 1976 my sister and I were living in Seattle, WA in an apartment on Beacon Hill. Our apartment faced east (front door) and south (kitchen/living room) and I was doing dishes with a view of Mount Rainier (slightly southeast) with the bay to the right. As I stood there washing dishes, talking to my sister, I looked out and saw something flying toward our location. I yelled to my sister, “Come here and tell me what I’m seeing!” She stood next to me looking out the window and said, “I don’t know what that is!”

A large disc-shaped object silently approached, when it got near it began to hover over the neighbors house (a three story Victorian, the bottom story was the garage area) and began to signal using light panels underneath the elliptical edge of the saucer. Then a light shined down on the house, it was then I noticed two jets coming from the military base at full throttle, suddenly all the lights on the saucer were lit up (underneath) and a low level humming began (which was mixed with the roar of the jets by then), it began to move so fast the jets swung out and around (before the turn was executed the ship was over Mount Rainier), the object was shooting straight up into the air and the jets lost it.

At the same time this was going on the radio announcer said, “Please don’t call in about a flying saucer, we know it’s a plane that’s been flying around with advertisements.” Then the plane was flying just to the west of us near the bay at the same time my sister and I were watching these events unfold.

This is a similar shaped craft. There were light panels under the outer edge that lit up singularly or in combination. Each panel was approximately 10 feet square. The craft was approximately 40 feet in height, 120 feet in diameter. It was silent until it started to accelerate away from us, then it emitted a loud humming noise.

Large Round Aircraft seen in Federal Way, Washington Approximately 1976

I am now 43 and I was 11 at the time this happened. I will never forget the event and wish to this day I could draw because I can remember it like it was yesturday.

My parents and I were sitting in our living room in Federal Way, Washington on Star Lake Road. We had a house that had two huge windows. When out of the blue a very large round object appeared right in front of our windows. It was about the size of 1/2 of football field. There were rectangular lights that flashed in a circular motion. There were to windshields that were the same size as the lights. It was grey in color and made no noise what so ever. My dad said" Must be some new boeing project" It just sat there for at least a minute. My mom said ya right, I have never seen anything that that. In a instant it shot straight up into the air and took off heading South towards Portland. We called my aunt and she was like, I see nothing. The strangest thing of all is the next day at breakfast my parents remembered seeing something but they both said it was a dream. Then said, how can we all have the same dream. I try now to talk to my parents about it, my mom is eager to tell it but my dad is dead silent and wont say a word. I wish I could see it again.

P.S. After we saw this event a car pulled up directly across the street (black sedan) and four individuals, three male and one female, went into the house that the craft hovered over. The next day they came to our building and knocked on our door, my sister (who was 17 years old at the time) didn’t answer the door. She came to me and whispered that strange looking people were at the door, should she answer it? I whispered let me look and I saw it was the same group from across the street the day before.

I motioned to my sister to back up into the kitchen and I followed her there and mouthed “be quiet”. The group was interrupted by our upstairs neighbor who asked, “What the *bleep* are you doing here?” They got into a heated discussion and then left. I felt someone thinking to me that I shouldn’t talk to anyone about this and for almost 40 years I haven’t.

NOTE: Mt. Rainier is an active volcano, in fact, it is considered one of the most dangerous volcanoes in the world. I have reported previously on UFO activity around active volcanoes. Even though this report is from 1976, there have been continued sightings of UFOs and other odd phenomena around the mountain for over a century. Lon

ELECTRIC 'DEMON OF THE DEEP' Reported in Puget Sound Near Tacoma

Here's an interesting account of an unknown creature from the waters of Puget Sound in the U.S. Pacific Northwest near Tacoma, Washington.

Flashes of Light and Terrible Sounds Emitted by One in the Bay. -- W.L. McDonald Struck Senseless in Attempting to Rescue a Shocked Comrade. -- Nearly 150 Feet Long and Covered With Coarse Hair -- A Fishing Party's Trip Cut Short.

A party of Tacoma gentlemen have good reason to remember the morning of the 2d of July as long as life remains in their bodies — and to quote the exact words of one of the party, “There are denizens of the ocean that man never, in his most horrible and fantastic nightmare, even saw the likes of.”

On Saturday morning a party, composed of the following well-known gentlemen, set sail on the sloop “Marion” from the boat house at the end of the wharf for a three days’ fishing and hunting excursion on the Sound. The party consisted of Auctioneer William Fitzhenry, H.L. Seal, W.L. McDonald, J.K. Bell, Henry Blackwood, and two eastern gentlemen who are visiting the coast, and it is from the lips of one of these gentlemen, who declines to allow his name to be used, as he says that shortly before he left the east he took the Keeley cure, and he fears that if his name was used in connection with this article his eastern friends might think he had “gone back” and got ‘em again.

The party was well supplied with all the necessaries of life, as well as an abundance of its luxuries, though it must not be inferred from this fact that the luxuries played any part in creating the sights seen on that memorable morning. Of course, as a person having much respect for truth, I merely chronicle the story as told me and leave each reader of this remarkable yarn to judge for themselves the necessary amount of credence to give it.

“We left Tacoma,” said the eastern man, “about 4:30 p.m. Saturday, July 1st, and as the wind was from the southeast we shaped our course for Point Defiance, intending to anchor off that point and try our luck with rod and line. We cast anchor about 6 o’clock, the wind having died out, and had fair success fishing. The wind coming up again pretty strong Mr. McDonald suggested getting under way for Black Fish Bay, Henderson Island, as he knew of a fine trout stream running into the bay, and also an excellent camping place near the fishing ground. So about 8 o’clock we weighed anchor and shaped our course for Black Fish Bay which place we reached about 9:30. We landed and made everything snug about the boat and made a nice camp on shore, and as it was by this time 11 o’clock we all turned in to get a little sleep as it was agreed upon that at the first streak of daylight we should all get up. About 100 yards from our camp was the camp of a surveying party, but as it was so late we decided that we would not disturb them but that we would call upon them the following morning, and would probably get some valuable pointers as to the best places to fish and hunt on the island. After a few jokes had been cracked the boys laid down and in short time everything about camp became as still as death. It was, I guess, about midnight before I fell asleep, but exactly how long I slept I cannot say, for when I woke it was with such startling suddenness that it never entered my mind to look at my watch, and when after a while I did look at my watch, as well as every watch belonging to the party, it was stopped.

“I am afraid, sir, that you will fail to comprehend how suddenly that camp was awoke.

“Since the creation of the world I doubt if sounds and sights more horrible were ever seen or heard by mortal man. I was in the midst of a pleasant dream, when in an instant a most horrible noise rang out in the clear morning air, and instantly the whole air was filled with a strong current of electricity that caused every nerve in the body to sting with pain, and a light as bright as that created by the concentration of many arc lights kept constantly flashing. At first I thought it was a thunder storm, but as no rain accompanied it, and as both light and sound came from off the bay, I turned my head in that direction, and if it is possible for fright to turn one’s hair white, then mine ought to be snow white, for right before my eyes was a most horrible looking monster. By this time every man in our camp, as well as the men from the camp of the surveyors, were gathered on the bank of the stream; and as soon as we could gather our wits together we began to question if what we were looking at was not the creation of the mind, but we were soon disburdened of this idea, for the monster slowly drew in toward the shore, and as it approached from its head poured out a stream of water that looked like blue fire. All the while the air seemed to be filled with electricity, and the sensation experienced was as if each man had on a suit of clothes formed of the fine points of needles. One of the men from the surveyor’s camp incautiously took a few steps in the direction of the water, and so he did so the monster darted towards the shore and threw a stream of water that reached the man, and he instantly fell to the ground and lay as though dead.

“Mr. McDonald attempted to reach the man’s body to pull it back to a place of safety, but he was struck with some of the water that the monster was throwing, and fell senseless to the earth. By this time every man in both parties was panic-stricken, and we rushed to the woods for a place of safety, leaving the fallen men lying on the beach. “As we reached the woods the ‘demon of the deep’ sent out flashes of light that illuminated the surrounding country for miles, and his roar — which sounded like the roar of thunder — became terrific. When we reached the woods we looked around and saw the monster making off in the direction of the Sound, and in an instant it disappeared beneath, the waters of the bay, but for some time we were able to trace its course by a bright luminous light that was on the surface of the water. As the fish disappeared total darkness surrounded us, and it took us some time to find our way back to the beach where our comrades lay, and we were unable to tell the time, as the powerful electric force had stopped our watches. We eventually found McDonald and the other man, and were greatly relieved to find that they were alive, though unconscious. So we sat down to await the coming of daylight. It came I should judge, in about half an hour, and by this time by constant work on the two men, both were able to stand, and both agree that the moment the water the monster threw touched them, they became immediately unconscious.”

On being asked to give some description of the fish, for it was, he said, “an electrical fish,” the eastern man said:

“This monster fish, or whatever you may call it, was fully 150 feet long, and at its thickest part I should judge about thirty feet in circumference. Its shape was somewhat out of the ordinary in so far that the body was neither round nor flat but oval, and from what we could see the upper part of the body was covered with a very coarse hair. The head was shaped very much like the head of a walrus, though, of course, very much larger. Its eyes, of which it apparently had six, were as large around as a dinner plate, and were exceedingly dull, and it was about the only spot on the monster that at one time or another was not illuminated. At intervals of about every eight feet from its head to its tail a substance that had the appearance of a copper band encircled its body, and it was from these many bands that the powerful electric current appeared to come. The bands nearest the head seemed to have the strongest electric force, and it was from the first six bands that the most brilliant lights were emitted. Near the center of its head were two large horn-like substances, though they could not have been horns for it was through them that the electrically charged water was thrown.

“Its tail from what I could see of it was shaped like a propeller, and seemed to revolve, and it may be possible that the strange monster pushes himself through the water by means of this propeller like tail."

“At will this strange monstrosity seemed to be able to emit strong waves of electric current, giving off an electromotive force which causes any person coming within the radius of this force to receive an electro tonus. This fish probably receives its power from some submarine cavern of volcanic origin, which owing to its peculiar construction, and having an extra large deposit of copper, it charges the fish that inhabit that region with a strong electric force that is displayed by this peculiar specimen. The peculiar shaped copper like bands may be caused by the strong magnetic force of the fish, and the copper deposits of the ocean, as the strong current would form the copper into a solution, whilst the strong attraction of the fish would naturally form an electric battery, drawing towards it this solution, thus forming deposits on the fish, so that in reality the electric fish is completely encompassed in copper, and its rapid movement through the water is constantly generating frictional electricity, which I should judge would in a measure account for the fish being so constantly and powerfully charged with electricity, though far from its original source of supply. One of the strange characteristics of this fish, and one by which it undoubtedly obtains its food, is its high electric control of dense and foggy atmosphere surrounding it, which amalgamates with the electrifaction of the fish, making a potential which causes any living creature, such as birds or insects, flying through the air to fall dead into the water. Of course, that is merely a theory and I may be mistaken as to its origin or where it goes to, but one thing I do know, that I would not encounter the same monster again for the universe and you can ask the rest of the party and you will find that they all agree with me, that to be within so short a distance of such a terrible monster and yet live to tell the story is something that only happens once in 1000 years.

I hardly need to tell you that we were not long in getting under way for Tacoma, and I can assure you that I have no further desire to fish any more in the waters of this bay. There are too many peculiar inhabitants in them. 4-FOOT-LONG, LEMUR-LIKE CREATURE Reported Near York, Pennsylvania

A York County, Pennsylvania resident reported a 4-foot-long, Lemur-like creature observed shaking a Dogwood tree in their neighbor's yard.

I received the following account:

"I was just relaxing in my house and watching some TV. We have double sliding doors with windows facing our backyard, and I can see outside from where I was lounging on the couch.

That's when something began moving in the corner of my vision. When I glanced over, I noticed our 10-foot-high dogwood tree on the very end bordering our yard from the neighbors was shaking violently. I couldn't figure out what kind of animal, aside from a human, could shake an entire tree like that. I stood up and walked over to the window to peer out.

There are also several extremely large pine trees bordering along the end of the backyard and I couldn't see anything through the thick foliage, even though the sun was shining brightly in the sky. The dogwood continued to shake, and then to my astonishment an enormous gray creature jumped from one of the dogwood's flimsy branches and into a huge pine nearby.

I only glimpsed it for about three seconds at most, but I definitely got a good look at it, and it was like nothing I had ever seen before. The creature was rather large, perhaps around 4 feet in length. It was all gray except for its long skinny tail that had black and white stripes along it, like those lemurs from Madagascar. Its front end was somewhat slouched down, as if it had short front legs and large powerful back legs, like how a kangaroo would look.

It was the weirdest creature I had ever seen. Unfortunately, I didn't get a look at its head as it quickly vanished into the pine. A few minutes later, I was outside rooting through the leaves and long grass at the end of the yard looking for footprints and maybe to catch a sighting of the creature, but I didn't find anything. Yet I know what I saw.

I live in a suburb south of York, Pennsylvania (Arlington Park), and such creatures like that don't live in this area. If I absolutely had to call it a specific animal, I would say it was a lemur, but the tail wasn't bushy, but very slender and agile like a cat's. Wish I had taken a picture.

I haven't seen it since that day, but there have been weird scratching noises below my bedroom window at night ever since I saw the creature and I wonder if the two are related or if it's another incident that coincidentally just happened in the same time period. My neighbor has not seen the creature." S

NOTE: Since the location is close to me, I am interested in what the witness observed. For several years there were reports of cryptid canines and upright, hooved creatures seen in the same general area. South-Central Pennsylvania is well-known for a multitude of cryptid creature sightings and encounters. Lon

WAS IT BIGFOOT? Campers Experience MOVING SHADOWS, CHATTERING, & ROARS in Clarion County, PA

I received the following account from a Pennsylvania couple, Phantoms and Monsters readers, and Phantoms & Monsters Radio listeners.

"We have a story that we want to share with you. It happened back in August 1998. We were camping in some woods off Middle Run Road in Fairmount City, Pennsylvania (Clarion County). The area we were in was isolated. Back then it was a path off of a logging road.

We set up camp and got our fire going. We felt spooked like we were being watched. But we played that off to being in the woods. Everything was fine that night, so we planned on staying Saturday night, too. We still felt spooked that night.

When it started to turn daylight we heard a lot of cracking and snapping sounds. We were in the tent, so we just stayed put being really quiet. I was lying at the side of the tent - my head against the tent side. When "these things" came to the site they were talking back and forth. It sounded like little animals chattering back and forth. They got quiet and we thought they were gone. When I moved my pillow and pushed it harder against the tent something smacked the tent right above my head, and took off back into the woods. Of course, we were terrified, but we thought that it was a person trying to scare us.

At this time my husband and I weren't married yet, and we just really wanted to spend time together. So we went back to the spot to camp the next weekend, but we brought friends. One of his friends brought a .22 with them. We pulled into the camping spot again. For this to make sense I need to describe the area we pulled into. One side was a 20-foot cliff down to the ground. On the other side was a thick line of pine trees. Behind the trees is a field, then more woods.

We were unloading and my friend said they felt like we were being watched. I said I always feel like that, it's creepy in these woods (they didn't know about the previous events). Everyone was at the trunk getting ready to move everything down the hill, and a HUGE black shadow came out behind us and ran straight off the cliff. Everyone was so scared, we jumped back into the car and left for a while. We knew had to go back or go home. So we went back before it got too dark to set up the tent. After a while, everyone started to relax, and have fun.

When it got dark someone thought they saw someone digging in the car. The guys went up, and that same huge shadow took off again. Most of us were too scared to go back up to the car. (I look back on that and wonder why! The tent was not a safe place!) We all went to sleep in the tent. That's when we heard that same 'chattering" between the 'things' again. The friend who brought the gun unzipped the tent a little bit and fired the gun. Nothing ran, but it got quiet.

After a few minutes, they (the creatures) were "talking" again. He yelled we're going to fire at you if you don't leave us alone. Whatever it was left out a scary roar noise and the other thing chattered louder. We fired the gun and ran like hell to the car. We left and slept in the car. When we went back in the morning the food was left untouched. The tent area with the sleeping bags was ransacked. We left everything - the tent, sleeping bags, food - and never returned to collect it. There is some kind of creature in those woods." G & J

(PHOTO) Unexplained Events: Possible ALIEN ABDUCTION & SURGERY

An experiencer writes to me about a series of unexplained events, including the possibility that she had been abducted and subjected to surgery by otherworldly beings.

I received the following email:

"Hello, and good day. I hope you are well. I'm writing to report an incident that occurred on November 9, 2015. I've been chased by high strangeness my whole life, but this is strange on a whole other level for me.

On this day I was leaving my landlord's house in Denver at about 6:30 pm which is after dark. He didn't follow me out which I thought was very unusual. I took about 4 to 5 steps and was violently pushed down. There was no one there. About halfway down to the concrete porch, I heard the strangest noise I have ever heard. A moment later I hit the concrete with my left wrist and right kneecap immediately injuring them. I thought they might be broken at the time. My landlord heard my scream and ran out. He told me, "You tripped right here" and helped me up. I made it to my car and around the block to my house. I iced my injuries and fell asleep at 2am.

When I awoke at 5 am to the alarm, I realized that both injuries were healed completely. No pain or scratches or marks. However, I had most definitely undergone arm surgery. I should have been in recovery. I left for work and couldn't use my right arm at all as it felt as if I had been hung or drug by my right arm. I arrived and asked my co-worker to please lightly rub it. He asked me what this scar was at the point on my shoulder where the pain was truly horrible. I looked at this very fine and healed incision scar with disbelief. As the day became night and closer to closing time, the arm healed. The only thing I could still feel there was something deep inside of it. I could feel it easily in my shoulder for three months, but now it is more healed inside and I can feel it when the arm is worked hard. The scar is a very fine laser-healed incision but easily visible when you know where to look.

This incident took place one week after my doctor discovered that my third kidney was missing (born with 4 kidneys). My fourth kidney was missing when I was 16. I had un-elective surgery that day too. So, as odd as it sounds, I was pushed down by an unseen force, heard an unnatural sound on the way down, healed miraculously from my injuries in three hours, and had arm surgery somewhere in there. Have you ever heard another story like mine? Thank you for taking the time to read this account. I'd love any advice or resources that you may have." D

Inception of a WINGED BEING

I received the account after an appearance on Coast to Coast AM:

"Hello, Lon. I heard you on Coast to Coast with George Knapp on Sunday night and how people send you stories about things they have seen. I decided to share mine. I've only told a few people this, but it is 100% true.

I'll keep this story brief. This happened to me one day when I was 10 or so. Both my parents left for work early in the morning. It was a school day and my brother and I were already up and dressed just waiting around till it was time to head off to school. He was 2 years older than me so he left before me to catch his bus. I didn't have to leave for another hour or so and I just walked to school nearby. He left and it's just me there now. About 5 minutes later I'm on the couch just watching TV, and from our guest bathroom by the living room I hear the toilet flush on its own. It was a loud toilet anyway, and never really worked right so it was easy to hear. I was kind of startled because I thought someone had sneaked into our house, maybe through a back bedroom window. I quickly jumped up and grabbed this crystal dove candle holder as a weapon just in case this person walked out before I could get out of the house. I started running towards the door and as I went past the bathroom I looked. I noticed the bathroom door was 3/4 shut so I couldn't see who was in there.

This is where it gets weird. Something made me want to turn back and see what or who was in there. I knew I could still get away if they opened the bathroom door and came walking out, I'd just take off out the door. So I walked up to it kind of slowly. This is all happening in a few seconds from the first flush and I can still hear the toilet water running. So I kick the bathroom door open with my foot and nobody is in there. I looked up and right above my head, I saw this tiny golf ball-sized circle of bright light appear. It soon grew to the size of a soccer ball. I thought it may be some type of portal, wormhole, vortex, or whatever you want to call it. I'm right in front of it and I'm staring right into it; point-blank and dead on center. I'm looking into this circle with a hole of bright light and I see this little speck of black moving through it. The speck was getting bigger and bigger, and when looking into this light hole it had a curvy road-type angle to it. The black speck is now growing larger and getting closer. It was traveling through this hole but I still couldn't make out what it was.

The black speck finally got large enough to where I really got a good look at what it was. It looked like a big black moth about the size of a bat or bird, and it had red eyes. There were also a bunch of sharp little teeth. I was staring at it 2 feet in front of my face. When it reached the front of the hole it quickly swooped out in the direction of my face. I ducked my head and put my arm up to block it but I didn't feel anything brush off my arm. I again looked up at the hole and the moth wasn't there and the hole of light was now closing up. It was about the size of a tennis ball and getting smaller. It eventually closed up and disappeared.

At that point, I ran out of the house and got the hell out of there. I told my brother, mom, and dad what I saw when I got home but nobody believed me. For about a week or two afterward, I was kind of afraid to be in there by myself. I'd leave early for school when my brother would leave. But after a couple weeks, it all was back to normal." J

NOTE: The witness didn't mention a location. I received a similar account several years ago. I believe it came from northern Utah. In that instance, a rancher and his wife had noticed a brightly lit white orb in the yard near the barn. They described it as hovering just above the ground and that it was at least 2 feet in diameter. It started to shake violently when a dark figure formed and grew larger. They described it as a huge dark moth, that shot out of the orb and quickly flew toward the west. They never saw it again, the orb simply vanished. Did these witnesses encounter a portal? Does the moth shape have any significance? I suppose some people may think that this could possibly be the inception of a 'mothman' or other flying cryptid. Have others witnessed this phenomenon? The House I Grew Up In: "HE WANTS YOU!"

As she looked around she heard a faint voice that started to get stronger. Sitting on the bed something touched her hair, then a female voice whispered in her ear, "He wants you!"

I received the following account:

"Hi, Lon. I have been reading your blog for a few months. I am writing you about personal experiences and would like you to contact me to discuss. You have my permission to publish with a few conditions.

I grew up in a large two-story house in Georgia (I want to keep the location private). I lived there from the time I was three years old until I was in my late twenties. As long as I could remember I experienced plenty of weird things. Many times I heard my name being called nearby and at a distance as well as being touched.

My family also experienced a variety of strange events. My mother told me that she and my father would hear doors slam downstairs at night. When they would go and investigate all the doors were wide open just as they had left them before they went to bed.

One night just before bedtime, my sister and I were in the living room listening to music when I noticed my sister get up from her chair and walk towards the stairs. Suddenly she started to scream and ran to our mother in the kitchen. I quickly ran after her. She said that a "pale old man" was gliding down the stairway. My sister was absolutely terrified, so much so that she urinated on herself and could not stop shaking. Not long after this incident, I started experiencing strange phenomena.

One night I had a particular dream in which I was standing at the bottom of the stairs next to an elderly man. He was wearing overalls and a blue flannel shirt. His hair and face were very neat but his skin was a very pale gray. He was staring straight ahead and didn't seem to notice I was standing there. My next impression was standing at the top of the stairs when I started to hear footsteps going towards my bedroom door. Suddenly I woke up and realized that I had been dreaming, but I continued to hear the footsteps getting closer to my bedroom door. I know for a fact that I was awake. I waited for whatever it was that was getting closer to my door to open it. Then suddenly something picked up my long hair and tossed it over my right shoulder. I jumped out of bed and just stared at the bed. There was a voice calling my name and fading as I heard the same footsteps move away from my bedroom. I went to the door and slowly opened it. There was a terrible stench in the hallway so I closed the door and went back to bed.

A few years later my boyfriend at the time needed a place to stay so he moved in with us and slept in my old bedroom. One day I was downstairs in the living room watching TV. My boyfriend, who was in his bedroom, came running downstairs. He came into the living room and quickly dropped to his knees. As he looked up at me he appeared to be in shock. His hands then covered his face and he started to shake violently. After a few minutes of me prodding him for an explanation, he finally told me that he had been sitting on the bed watching TV when a young woman with long blond hair wearing a white shroud-like dress appeared and sat next to him on the bed.

He froze and looked at her as she continued to look back and smile. He asked her what she wanted and she said "you...he wants you", then she vanished. I never witnessed anyone so scared before. He grabbed me by the hand and led the way back up to his room. I walked into the room first and hoped I wouldn't see a ghost or anything else unusual. He abruptly pulled his belongings out of the drawings, threw them in a laundry bag, and stormed out of the house. It may sound cliche but, honestly, I never saw him again.

A few years later, I moved out of the house and got married. We currently live in northwest Ohio. A few months ago we took a trip back to Georgia and to the old house. My mother still lived there.

We decided to stay for a few days not expecting any problems. My mother said that she had not experienced any weird activity for those several years after I had moved out. The week seemed to go smoothly.

A few days after we returned home, my 8-year-old daughter asked me if someone had died in Grandma's house. I looked back at her and said that I wasn't sure and asked "Why?" She said that on the last day of the visit when we were getting ready to leave, she went upstairs to my old bedroom to get something. As she was about to walk out of the room she heard her name being called...when all of a sudden she felt a hard slap on her right leg. She said it hurt so bad that it brought tears to her eyes. She ran down the steps as fast as she could and stayed on the porch until it was time to leave.

Last week I received a telephone call from my mother letting me know that she had decided to sell the house and move in with her friend. I asked if I should come back to Georgia and help her pack and move. She paused a bit, then said not to bother. She had already left the house and was going to sell everything in it. I was somewhat surprised by her statement and asked her why she was doing this. That's when I found out the real story of the house.

When I was three years old, we moved into the house. At the time, my parents had little money and needed a cheap place to live. My father's employer had recently placed a house up for sale and offered it to my parents at a very reasonable price. The employer provided the financing as well.

A few days after we moved in there was a knock at the door. The elderly gentleman introduced himself to my mother and asked if he could look around because he had grown up there. She agreed and offered the elderly man a cup of coffee or tea but he just shook his head. My mother said he walked to the stairway landing, looked up the stairs, stared for a few seconds, then disappeared! My knees suddenly went weak. My mother never told anyone about the incident and said that she didn't encounter him again until the day after our visit.

The night after we had left for home, my mother was in the upstairs hallway about to enter my old bedroom to do some cleaning. As she grabbed the doorknob she felt a hard slap on her backside. She flung the door open and stumbled into the bedroom. As she looked around she heard a faint voice that started to get stronger. Sitting on the bed something touched her hair, then a female voice whispered in her ear, "He wants you!" She hurried out of the bedroom into the hallway and towards the stairs when she noticed the elderly man, smiling and staring back at her.

Within the hour, my mother collected everything she wanted and left the house forever." S
