RED-EYED, BAT-WINGED CREATURE Confronts Moving Truck on Mississippi Road

Three friends in Mantachie, Mississippi are in a local park at night when they see a dark-cloaked being. After they leave, a red-eyed, bat-winged creature swoops down toward their truck.

I received the following account:

"Dear Phantoms & Monsters editor. In the Fall of 2001 two of my friends and I decided to go to the liquor store and get someone to buy us a pint of booze. We were not yet of age so we had to get people who were of age to go in and buy it for us. We did this two or three times a week. The small town we live in (Mantachie, Mississippi) most of the time leaves you alone as long as you are not bothering anyone. We got the booze and headed to the park in this small town. We go to the park to have a drink every once and a while but this night was different.

We pulled up to the park and started to get out of the truck. We had not yet opened the booze so the booze did not influence us. I was sitting in the middle and my friend was getting out of the passenger's side door. When he got out and I got out, I noticed the sound of a tennis ball bouncing on the tennis court. I looked and saw this figure bouncing a tennis ball. The figure was around 6 feet tall and was wearing a dark cloak. It looked to me that he had some sort of pouch on his back. we all saw the same thing. In a flash, we jumped back into the truck and headed down the road to figure out what we had seen.

We got a few miles away and in the distance, we saw coming at us a large bat-like creature. It was several feet away from us but you could make out the red glowing eyes. It passed right in front of our windshield and vanished in the darkness. We rushed to one of our houses and didn't drink that night. We didn't do anything but stay there all night.

I am a skeptic when it comes to the paranormal but I do know what I saw. I read your reports of the winged humanoid in Chicago. Do you believe that it may have been the same or similar creature? Have you received other reports from Mississippi? Thanks. D

Back in the Summer of 2010, I posted a poll that posed the question ‘What is Bigfoot?’ To my surprise, 26% of the 574 participants answered they believed this creature was interdimensional and/or extraterrestrial. I posed this question to my readers and challenged them to make their case. Again, I was surprised at the amount of response I received. A total of 112 emails, with well-thought-out theories and opinions, were received in three days.
Maybe we’ll discover beyond a doubt where the truth lies about Bigfoot. We may kill several birds with one stone if or when we do find the answers to our questions. There may be a grand connection between all the mysteries in our world, possibly involving other worlds or dimensions as well. Mankind may be the greatest mystery of all and the reason why Bigfoot, extraterrestrials, spirits, etc. seem to be as fascinated with us as we are with them.

FRILL-NECKED REPTILIAN Abducts Pregnant British Woman

A pregnant British woman first encounters a frill-necked, hissing Reptilian being in her bedroom. Soon after, she believes that she was abducted by the same alien being.

I received the following account:

"Hi, Lon. Upon reading on your site about Reptilian beings visiting people I summoned up my courage to speak out about my experience 18 years ago.

In 2005 I lived in Colchester, England with my long-term partner and was working at a local cafe where I met and worked with people who first introduced me to the beliefs surrounding the Illuminati.

When I fell pregnant we decided to move to Australia where strange things started to happen in my sleep. The first one I remember is waking up and not being able to move or talk. It was extremely frightening and although it happened on several occasions I was hesitant to tell my partner in case he thought I was crazy. On the contrary, I felt mentally and spiritually strong which helped me fight to overcome the forces that were controlling me every time.

I also used to see tiny green lights in the corners of my room during the night.

One night I was woken to find what I can only describe as a reptile-like creature/being standing over me on two legs. It had a frill around its neck that was in a threatened-like extension, very muscular, and a tail. He was making a hissing noise I felt that was certainly not friendly looking almost through me when our eyes met and as in previous experiences I was not able to move or speak and felt paralysed yet wide awake. In absolute terror, I shut my eyes and opened them and it was gone.

I was beside myself and was in fear of his return. It wasn't the last time I awoke to him, he also came to me in a dream. In my dream, I was sitting at my friend's square table talking with her and I knew he was there. In my dream I remember as my friend was talking I was being coaxed away and taken by him, It felt like an out-of-body experience as I could see myself in my dream at the table with her. I knew I had been taken. I managed with all of my spirit to fight the strength he had on me and I remember feeling like I wasn't ready to go and that he'd be back when I was because after that it didn't return and hasn't.

After I had my baby I remember seeing lights the same green ones I saw in my room in her cot at night when she woke for feeding. I don't know why this happened to me but I know I'm not alone and I know I'm not crazy!" S

WHITE BIGFOOT Encountered by Witnesses in Comanche County, Oklahoma

Two witnesses in Comanche County, Oklahoma recall their encounter with a tall, muscular, white hair-covered man-like creature sitting on a branch of a tree. Others reported a similar being that would reappear and vanish.

I received the following account:

Hello, sir. This incident occurred in March 2021 near Cache, Oklahoma in Comanche County. Myself and another witness were leaving my house when we decided to check out a tree in the yard which we thought we had seen something about 2 weeks prior. The tree is located about 60 yards from the house and close to the road. We drove to the tree with the bright lights on the car. As we neared the tree we saw something huge and white sitting on a branch of the tree. I noticed the head and shoulders. The shoulders were broad and it didn’t look like it had a neck. The other witness saw 2 legs dangling down. The legs were hairy and were moving. The head and shoulders were moving slightly back and forth like it was getting ready to jump down.

I screamed while the other witness was in shock. I managed to put the car in reverse and backed out of the area as fast as possible. There had been other reports of people seeing something run across the road and people have heard blood-curdling screams coming from a nearby creek.

It reminded me of a tall, muscular man-like creature with long white hair. It was seen and reported in another area of Comanche County and seemed to vanish and reappear at will according to previous witnesses. The other witnesses identified the creature as a Bigfoot" H

RED REPILITIAN Manifested From Orb, Heals Experiencer's Broken Ankle

A shaman recalls his experience with a red Reptilian being that manifested from an orb. After waking several hours later the cast on his broken ankle was removed and the ankle healed.

I received the following account:

"I was settling into bed after a day of shamanism work in deep meditation for two hours. My two dogs were in the bed with me. I had broken my ankle the day before and was trying to get comfortable. I was playing on my phone when the room lit up with a white glowing sphere coming from the living room into my bedroom. It was about as big as a basketball and it settled at the foot of my bed. My dogs jumped down and ran.

The sphere grew and became a red reptilian/lizardman standing at the foot of my bed. He had a musky odor to him/her. He had no wings or horns and was perfectly bipedal. My first reaction was anger. As a shaman, I serve the Norse god Odin. I am used to orbs and interdimensional beings/spirits. My first reaction was anger. I thought, "I worked for Odin today and now he isn't going to protect me from this." I instantly knew it was there to feed off my energy and possibly report back to who was in charge of the cult I was raised in. I rolled over and let it put me to instant sleep. I was too tired to try to fight.

I woke up an hour later on top of the covers with my cast off. My broken ankle was completely healed. I got under the covers and went back to sleep.

Over the next two weeks, I was exhausted and slept 13 to 20 hours a day. I also craved meat and could never feel full of enough meat. Some friends helped me out with energy but after one day I was back to feeling drained again.

The overall feelings were anger, disgust, and hopelessness. I also felt fear and seduction. It was as if I feared the being, but also was drawn to it." M

REPTILIAN EXPERIENCER Reconnects With Me After 7 Years (PHOTO)

I received the following email back in 2016 after the experiencer had contacted several reporting agencies, including MUFON & NUFORC. None of them responded to the experiencer's concerns.

The experiencer asked me to post their email and the image they provided, which I did. Below is the original email:

"I don't know exactly how to describe what's happening to me but I know that I need help. There is something that is attached to me and it is not human. It (or they?) has been attached to me since I can remember. As I get older it is getting more and more aggressive. I wake up with very large bruises and welts consistently often in geometric shapes or patterns, this is not my concern though. My concern lies with those around me. People are beginning to notice unexplained bruising, scratches, night those errors, rashes, and ultimately becoming violently sick in my presence. I've had instances where physical harm was done to those around me, such as being pushed on stairs or having doors slam on them.

It comes and goes for long periods, but once it has made its presence known and it knows I know it's there, things get bad. I have many witnesses to attest to this and at one point physical proof. I had a very large non-human hand print burned into my bedroom door at my old house followed by another one, exactly the same burned into the wall next to my headboard. Both the door and the wall had to be sanded down. I went as far as to ask for help from the Catholic Church, they wouldn't even pray with me and seemed disturbed by my presence instantly.

This thing has never made me feel personally threatened until recently. I found my picture of my family and me from when I was a baby fallen from my mirror and laying face down on my dresser. When I picked it up to put it back assuming it was a draft or the wind, I discovered that my face had been scratched out. I asked everyone in my family (grandparents, my mother, and uncle) if it was them and they had no idea what I was talking about until I showed them. I am terrified to sleep at night because I go into these fits of convulsions and screaming that are difficult to wake me up from and calculated sleepwalking, neither of which I have any remembrance of afterward. And by calculated sleepwalking, I mean unlocking doors, undoing restraints to keep me from leaving my bed, and most concerning leaving my home.

I also went to a psychologist to talk about this problem in hopes that they would tell me that I was crazy but to my disappointment, I was told in fact that I was completely in my right mind and that what was happening to me was very real. I have had a government-based opinion(s) on the matter as well, those details have to be discussed exclusively in person. Please contact me as soon as possible, even if you can't help me." K

NOTE: After several inquiries, I did not hear back from the experiencer. That was, until recently. In fact, today. They had heard my interview on 'Spaced Out Radio' last night and wanted to give me an update. I was given a telephone number and contacted them.

Apparently, the experiencer consulted a regression therapist in Chicago (the experiencer lives in a suburb nearby). The result of multiple sessions determined that the experiencer was a victim of multiple encounters with a Reptilian being throughout their life. I asked why they had not contacted me previous to today. Their response was that after hearing me during the interview, they now felt confident enough to talk to me.

I asked if it was OK for me to post this update, which was granted only if personal information was not included. I am scheduled to talk to the experiencer next week for more details. Lon

MYSTERIOUS TELEGRAM From Beyond the Grave

The following anecdote was sent by Dr. Margaret Vivian and later published in the "London Evening News" on December 23, 1954. An interesting account and mystery.

"Many years ago when I was a medical student Mr. X., an old friend, would call occasionally at the college to take me out to lunch. One day a letter from him asked me to meet him off the 1:30 train the next day at a small country station nearby. Later, a telegram was handed to me telling me Mr. X. had been killed in a street accident. It was unsigned and I thought it might be a hoax.

The next morning I cycled to the station, leaned my bicycle against the bridge across the lines, and leaned on the parapet. As the 1:30 train pulled up at the platform, I watched anxiously to see who alighted. There were three passengers, two men, and a girl, and to my relief, I saw that one was my old friend, in his familiar raincoat and pork pie hat rather far back on his head. I shouted to him and he looked up smiling, waved his hat, and hurried out of sight towards the station exit. I ran to meet him there. The two other passengers emerged, by not Mr. X. I went onto the platform but there was no sign of him.

I spoke to the ticket collector. He said only two passengers had gotten off the train, a 'gent' and a young lady.

"But the other gentleman, wearing a pork pie hat," I insisted. "I saw him from the bridge!"

"I never seen but two," he replied, showing me the two tickets he had taken from them.

I rode back to college, fearing now the telegram must be genuine, and I learned later that Mr. X had been knocked down by a passerby, and had been taken unconscious to hospital, where he died as the result of a fractured skull.

I never discovered who sent me the telegram."

GREETINGS, EARTHLINGS: 'What Happened to Us?'

A husband and wife are watching TV at night when a commercial comes on, and the words 'Greetings, Earthlings' appear on the screen. What happens next is beyond explanation.

I received the following account:

“I have a story that happened to my wife and me about two years ago. She has a nice home in town (French Lick, Indiana) and we'd got married so I kept the farm and I left everything in it. When my mom died, the old TV and all the stuff in the house were left 'as is'. Late one night, we were coming home from a movie and she said, 'Oh, I'm not sleepy, let's watch TV.' I said, 'Okay'. So we're out in the boonies quite a ways, near the old farm, and we still have the old TV, like I said, it hooks up to a box, you know, to pick up the channels.

So we were watching TV at the farmhouse and a certain commercial came on after the movie we were watching and about halfway through it the commercial stopped and it just froze on the screen. There are people in the commercial and across the screen there's writing. "Greetings, Earthlings." My wife looked at me and I looked at her and she said, 'Is that part of the commercial?' and I say, 'No, we watch that commercial all the time.' So I hit the button real quick. I had the selector in my hand and I flashed both sides of the channel watching to see if maybe there was an overlap since it's an old TV or something and it stayed on there. I hit the end and it came back and it was just going off and you could see it was saying "Greetings, Earthlings."

All of a sudden we could hear someone in the background saying, 'Hey, get that off! Take it off!' and it goes off. My wife says, 'Let's go home.' And I said, 'No, it's okay.' I said, 'They said greetings.' And I said, 'You know that has to be friendly." Well, we stayed the night in my old room.

After sleeping for a few hours I wake up to a bright light shining through the window. I look at my watch. It's 3:03 AM. I look out the window and can tell that the light is ascending into the sky. I get out of bed and walk toward the window. When I reach the window, I hear my wife scream, "Come back!" The next thing I remember is waking up in bed. It's light outside. I look at my watch. It's 8:03 AM.

Suddenly, my wife bursts through the bedroom door screaming, 'Where have you been?' I don't know what to say. She tells me that she saw me walk through the lighted window 5 hours earlier and disappeared. The bright light vanished. She searched the house and the property looking for me. Then she loses all sense of time and wakes up on the couch in the living room downstairs. Then she hears a 'whooshing sound' come from upstairs and finds me awake in the bed.

That was the entire scenario. We have no idea what had happened. There were no marks on our bodies and no residual memories. I didn't believe in alien abduction previous to this incident, but now I wonder if something like that had happened. Was it related to the 'Greetings, Earthling' we saw in the commercial? L

Retired Washington Logger's 'FOREST PEOPLE' Stories & Encounters

A retired logger and forest firefighter describes different encounters with the Sasquatch or 'Forest People' near his home in Yacolt, Washington.

"I'm a retired logger and Wildland Forest firefighter. I'm 70 years old. As a Faller, I fell old-growth timber. I also worked for 24 years for DNR Washington State Department of National Resources. My wife and I live one mile north of the town of Yacolt, WA. I've fished and hunted in this area most of my adult life. I also used to trap but no longer do as trapping is now illegal in the state of Washington. I've had two experiences with the forest people on a scale of 1 to 10 as about a two, however, one of my next-door neighbor's sons saw an infant Sasquatch while he was picking thimbleberries. I'm not sure whether it was on their property or ours.

My neighbor's four-year-old son was picking berries. He was unaware there was an infant Sasquatch picking berries on the opposite side of the bushes. Apparently, the all-white-haired infant forest person was curious and wanted to get a closer look at the little human so it stood up and leaned closer maybe thinking he had a new berry-picking friend. They locked eyes. That was all it took. My little four-year-old neighbor boy ran screaming all the way home yelling about a white monkey in the woods. He didn't see the mother Sasquatch but I'm sure she must have been close by. He wouldn't go near those woods by himself for the longest time afterward.

My Forest People experience number one. So it's like 40-plus years ago and I'm elk hunting in Southwest Washington State. Back then I really didn't believe in the Sasquatch people. In fact, I didn't know anything about them. I'm walking up a gated locking logging road hunting by myself. After about a mile I'm hearing something paralleling me about 20 to 30 feet off to my right. I can't see because there are about a gazillion little 10 to 20-foot-tall hemlock trees flanking the road. In Southwest Washington, those hemlocks grow like weeds alongside some of the logging roads. You can't see 10 feet through them. It's like trying to see through a hay bale. I stop, it stops. I walk, it walks. Always staying just out of my sight. Sometimes it doesn't stop fast enough and it takes one extra step when I stop fast on purpose. Now I'm thinking what in the hell is that? It's breaking sticks when it walks and doesn't care that I know what's there. There were no other tracks or trucks in the area so I'm thinking this is not another hunter. It's not a bear. It's not a deer. Blacktails are way smarter than that. A cougar, you'll never hear them. Elk, they make a lot of noise, breaking limbs, but they're not stupid so they're not going to hang out with a hunter.

Now I'm thinking what in the hell is this thing. There's no smell, no grunts, no whoops, or anything vocal. Just that damn thing stalking me. Well, I'm thinking what if I just burst through those hemlocks and rushed whatever this was. I've got a 7 mil Magnum and that should put it in the H Locker if necessary. I just have this feeling that whatever it was it won. I turned around and returned to my truck. I wasn't really scared. It just seemed like the right thing to do.

About 7 years ago in October, on the outskirts of Yacolt at my house, it was about 9 PM. There's no moon, black as night can be. No rain, clear skies, stars everywhere. For a couple weeks, I'd been dumping milk crates full of apples in my pasture to feed the deer. The distance is about 100 feet from the house to where the pile of apples was. I don't shoot deer on my property. That isn't hunting. That's just shooting. I'm in the house when suddenly I hear the loudest wolf-like howling I've ever heard. I stepped out on the porch and there was something just inside the timber howling. I had an 80lb German Shepherd at that time and this thing in the trees was much louder than my dog could ever be. At this time my sister-in-law came downstairs and said not to go out there. I told her no, I'm going out there. I want to see what that is. My wife and sister-in-law were both born and raised in Alaska. They know what a wolf sounds like and she says that's not a wolf and definitely not a dog. I agreed, so I grabbed a maglight which isn't very bright compared to the gazillion candle power spotlight I have today. On the other hand, I had my 19111 Colt 45 ACP loaded with 240-grain Federal hydroshock hollow points. Knowing what I know today I would never shoot at a Sasquatch unless it was truly out to harm me or worse. However, a Dogman, I shoot to kill,

Back to the story. I walked about 50 feet to the pasture fence and 30 feet from me were four Blacktail deer standing rigid in fear. I could have walked right up on them. They're at the apples, not eating, just terrified. If I had my dog with me she would have just run up to the fence and bark, and the deer would run away and come back later. Now this next part is hard to believe and what I experienced next was not mind speak, it was more like translating. I heard a very loud howling which I believe is louder than a wolf can make. It had a sad and frightened sound to it, like whatever was howling was scared and, yes, I said it sounded like it was scared. There have been times throughout my life when I would just know things, like when my cousin phoned early one morning and told me his mother had passed away. But I knew it before he called. What I believe I heard that night was the plea of an adolescent teenage Sasquatch on its first solo deer hunt. I believe it had been stationed where it could see the deer as an elder Sasquatch watched. Then here I came along and fouled up the whole thing. I cannot find the words to express how apologetic I am to that family of Forest People.

SKINWALKERS: Real-Life Stories of Conjured Evil

According to the Diné Navajo people, Skinwalkers are shapeshifting witches who conduct all sorts of terrible things. These beings can make people sick and commit murders. They are graverobbers and necrophiliacs. They are greedy and evil entities who must kill a sibling or other relative to be initiated as a Skinwalker. They supposedly can turn into were-animals and can travel in supernatural ways.

Anthropologist David Zimmerman of the Navajo Nation Historic Preservation Department explains:

"Skinwalkers are folks that possess knowledge of medicine, medicine both practical (heal the sick) and spiritual (maintain harmony), and they are both wrapped together in ways that are nearly impossible to untangle."

These medicine men train over many years to become full-fledged practitioners in the mystical rituals of the Diné Navajo people. The medicine men have shown themselves to be effective in treating a range of ailments according to the U.S. Public Health Service. But, there is also a dark side. Witches follow some of the same training and obtain similar knowledge as their more benevolent colleagues, but they supplement both with their pursuit of the dark arts, or black magic. By Diné Navajo law, a known witch has forfeited its status as a human and can be killed at will. The assumption is that a witch, by definition, is evil.

The cautious Diné Navajo will not speak openly about Skinwalkers, especially with strangers, because to do so might invite the attention of an evil witch. After all, a stranger who asks questions about Skinwalkers just might be one himself, looking for his next victim.

"In February 2006 at 9:15 PM at a small reservation outside of Albuquerque, a young boy was sent out to get a juice bottle from a parked car and while his uncle lay on the couch he heard the boy screaming. His uncle got up to see the boy’s father coming in with the boy holding his hand. The boy appeared terrified and was shaking. His grandmother talked to him and asked him what was wrong. He then said that a “thing” had watched him from the fence line and then came after him. He said it was about 4ft tall and had red glowing eyes, gray hairy feet, long claws, and a snout like that of a dog. Human-like footprints with “claws” were found near the window."

NOTE: the encounter was reported to a local newspaper but never published. A reservation police officer stated to an investigative reporter that several 'skinwalker' sighting reports had been made within 2 months.

"I try to read about skinwalkers and/or Navajo witches whenever I hear of any articles or books about them. When I was a little girl traveling with my family on vacation, we came across something strange that had to have been a skinwalker or Navajo witch. It was 1967 or 1968 and we were driving from California to Arkansas to visit family. On the way to Arkansas, we were on Route 66 outside of Albuquerque, NM and we had stopped at a rest area so my Dad could sleep. It doesn't happen often now, but back then a lot of people used to stop and sleep in the rest areas.

It was the middle of the night and something startled my father awake. He woke up and was extremely scared and nervous. He was trying to figure out why he woke up and why he felt scared when he saw a man walking across the desert. He said that he almost couldn't take his eyes off the guy because, even though the man was kind of far out there, something was wrong. The man was walking towards the rest area from out in the desert, as he got closer, my father saw what was different about him. The man had a fur skin thrown across his shoulders and as he walked his feet were not touching the ground. He passed right beside our car and looked my Dad in the eye. My Dad said that all of the hair on his body stood up. He immediately started our car and drove away as fast as he could.

It was later that we found out that some crazy guy came into the same rest area, the very same night that we were there, and shot a bunch of people. From what I was told, some of the people were killed. I was a little girl 3 or 4 years old, I was asleep when it all happened, but we never stopped in NM after that. Every year we went to Arkansas to visit family and we never stopped in NM again, we always drove straight through." Nina

"I live close to the reservation just outside Mesa, Arizona. I have a couple of Native friends who I just recently went camping with around 20 miles outside the valley to a place they call Three Poles. This place is considered holy land in their eyes and is close to a river. There are numerous stories I know about this place, such as the flute player you can hear at night or the boulder-sized splashes you hear in the river. But the most notable are the stories of the skinwalkers.

We arrived at the camping site around 9 p.m. It was already dark, so we started to unpack and made a fire. Once that was done, my Native buddies put up the barriers and puffed the smoke of tobacco upon us as a personal barrier. They told me never to go anywhere alone and that around 3 a.m. is when the spirits are the most active. Around 2 a.m. the beating of a drum became very clear; this is a sign of the skinwalker, they told me. At around 3 a.m., the smell of wet dogs became apparent. This is the sign of either two things: Hoofy, an extremely evil spirit; or the skinwalkers.

The fire grew small and we could see the shadows of animals. We all decided to move to another site in the morning. As the first light dawned, we packed. I sat in the back of his truck to hold down the stuff. As we left, I saw a rottweiler walking on its hind legs straight to the middle of our camp. It was easily 5 feet tall and had bright orange eyes. I freaked out and screamed as it was running at us, still standing up. It disappeared into a bush after we turned the corner.

Later on at our other camp, an old man with his face covered up by hair visited us and acted very strangely. We ran out of drinks, so a friend and I decided to head out on foot (no car; a friend had to take it home). We saw a car. As it approached, it slowed down to a halt and the same man asked if we wanted a ride. We said no because by this time my friends had told me the man was a skinwalker. He grabbed my arm and pulled me by his car and looked straight at me. As my friend ran up to grab me, the man took off in his car.

Once we got back, I relaxed. It was around dawn when just behind me the man appeared about 10 feet away and asked if I could help him with something back at his camp. As he did, two trucks came around the corner to head further into the grounds. He watched them as they passed and then all of a sudden he bolted after them. I was astonished to see this 60-year-old man chasing down a car. My native friends put up a salt barrier. I heard sounds all night, but never saw anything after that." LD

"As a teenager, I would visit my grandma at her home on the Navajo rez for several weeks every summer. I loved to spend time with her, eat her delicious fried bread, and hear her tell us stories. Every so often my grandma would hire a worker (the harmless town drunk) to do odd jobs around her house and property. One evening right before the sun went down, I was asked by my grandma to take him home, which was about four miles out of the valley where she lived. I was more than happy to, seeing that I was only 14 years old and was asked to drive a truck! Mind you on the rez, nobody cares that you're only 14 years old and driving around. Hell, there's hardly anybody around to see you anyway! So my 9-year-old brother jumped in the truck cab with me while this "worker" and my dog shared the tailgate of the truck and we were off. After I dropped the worker off at the shack that he and his brothers called a house, we headed back down the road to grandma's. As I mentioned before, it was evening and the sky was a deep red as the sun began to set behind us. We were leaving a nice dust trail from the dirt road and the radio was playing music from the only radio station that could be picked up from the nearest town of Holbrook, Arizona.

There was nothing unusual, nothing weird. It was at this time that my eye caught the movement of something in the bushes a little up the road to the right of us. I remember slowing down thinking that it was one of the many free-roaming sheep in the area that would dart out in front of the truck. As I passed where I thought I saw it, I sped up thinking nothing else of it. Then out of nowhere I just felt this dark feeling of fear and dread. I had no idea why I was feeling this way but I definitely felt that something was wrong.

As I play this memory back in my mind, there are only a few clear memories that I have of that evening. I clearly remember looking in my rearview mirror and seeing the dark silhouette of something very tall and very skinny that seemed to be covered with some kind of hair or fur running behind the truck after us! Whatever it was, it wasn't a normal human or human at all. I remember hearing my brother crying and my dog barking ferociously at whatever was chasing us. I remember speeding very fast and shaking violently as the truck bounced on the washboard dirt road. I distinctly remember that this thing was only getting closer as my brother cried "It's coming up on your side!" I remember being as scared as hell and thinking that I didn't want to die. At the moment I thought would be our last. I remember speeding around a bend in the road and seeing a car coming towards us in the opposite direction. At that moment I felt instant relief and felt that whatever was following us was gone.

Shaken up but alive, we made it to grandma's house wondering what the hell had just happened. We ran inside not looking back, hoping that whatever was chasing us had not followed us home. As we told my grandma about our experience she didn't seem too surprised, which surprised us. She continued by repeating stories that we had already heard at one point or another about black magic, witches, and something that the Navajos call Yee Nadlooshii or Skinwalkers. Needless to say, I didn't even want to look out any of the windows at all the rest of that night. As a matter of fact, I never drove on the reservation at night until I was 21 years old.

Without going too deep into explanation, I'll just say that these Skin-walkers are evil men and spirits that use black magic for evil doing. I tell you that as farfetched as it may sound, they are real! I believe that if God and his greatness are real, the devil is equally as real and also has his ways of showing himself.

This may not sound very scary to some readers and that may be due to my lack of writing skills. But what happened that evening really did happen and scared the living crap out of me. I invite anybody to visit this part of Arizona if you have any doubts or want a huge scare. I promise you that you won't be disappointed.

"I've seen a skinwalker ONCE! I have never seen one since. My older brother, older sister, and I were going home for the weekend. We were coming in from Phoenix. We had to leave pretty late. It usually takes us 5 hours to get home which is in Low Mountain near Pinon, AZ. We drove toward Keams Canyon highway and took a certain dirt road that would take us straight to Low Mountain. Before we reached the dirt road we noticed a very old lady walking on the side of the highway with a cane at 2 o'clock in the morning! She had her scarf around her head, a long black jacket, and wearing a green dress. We did not think anything of it but thought it was weird that she was walking late at night on a highway. The reservation is really dark at night and there is hardly anyone driving on the roads. We eventually turned on the dirt road.

A mile away from the highway we noticed the same old lady walking on the side of the dirt road with her cane. I freaked out! I started crying because we knew that it was the same lady 15 miles back. My brother stepped on the gas and started driving faster. He gave us some medicine to protect us from harm. We eventually got to a highway that took us to Chinle, Low Mountain, or Pinon. We passed the first bridge and we noticed that the old lady was sitting on the highway with her head down waving the cane in the air. Before we could pass her the car just shut down and wouldn't start. The old lady stood up facing the opposite way from us so we wouldn't see her face and walked across the other side of the road. She turned her head to face us and her face was painted all black. She kept walking and eventually disappeared in the distance. My brother turned the ignition and the car started!! It scared the hell outta me!!! I was crying so bad that I never wanted to drive through the road again.

When we got home we told my parents about it. My dad said that there was an old couple that lived between the two highways that did bad medicine on people. He also said that her husband had passed on not long ago and that she walks that road every now and then. They had two kids; one of them passed away at a very young age with an unknown cause of death and the other one drinks and huffs. We ended up driving back the longer way which was taking the highway to the junction road and going toward Ganado. It was very real and very scary. DN

I received a correspondence from an individual with the moniker 'Coy Cryptid.' He is a resident of the Diné Navajo reservation and this is a reply to an inquiry I made in a previous post. I have not changed anything in the email....completely original:

Well, where to start......? We are not skin walkers, we are "eaters of all" (closest translation I can do to our real name, sorry) We are old, so old that some of us remember this world when it had many moons and the land flowed like water. We are not evil, nor good. We just are. In the way of modern thinking, we are like animals; not fallen from grace, and speak and hear God directly. I don't know if we have souls, because we don't die, just .... this is really hard to explain ..... we don't go dormant, just change the way we live. Right now I am Human. I look, feel, think, and act just like one of you. I will apparently die just like one of you, only to spread out from where my " mortal remains " fall or are eaten, adsorbed... or interred, mingling with the strings of life (another hard one to put into words) that come into contact with me. Until I decide to become one of them (I have sort of decided on one of the squids, we'll see how that works out). In the time between dedicated forms, we walk in our true forms, remembering all the things that we have been. It's hard to describe being many things at once, but we do go back to places we've been because the "memories of love"(?) draw us back. We watch over you as we are directed to do, letting you live your lives according to Law both good and bad as is the will of the Creator. You are right to fear us in our true forms because we do not think as humans do, but a collage of thoughts from many forms at once.

The Creator bid us to stay our feeding on you many many eons ago, but left us with the right to protect ourselves if threatened in any of our forms (careful with that fly swatter or bar of soap). We can grasp your, or any other creature's mind if we choose, and hold them while we eat. In this form, it is a very unpleasant thought and leaves me nauseous just thinking about it. All of us by now (except the ones that left this world early on for a "walk about" or from the great shame) have spent many lifetimes in human form and almost all of them love people deeply. Every creature in this world fears us because you are all survivors who have sensed us in true form. We have to calm you to walk among you even in dedicated forms.

We have traits that can be used to identify us in any of our forms. The closest thing that I can call them is "tells." Mine is that I don't eat feet (yuck how nasty, .....this includes fins, hooves, tips of tentacles, pads, wing feathers, or anything used as contact points for locomotion blahhhhuch). One of my co-cross mates (don't ask, we have 17 separate sexes, talk about a bitch on Friday nights) will not eat anything "purple" as she sees it. Another friend of mine dislikes certain forms of nerve tissue and says it makes him itch. Short of these little peccadilloes we can consume almost anything and derive energy for life from it, from sunshine to radionuclides and everything in between, yummy (I know, I know, "feet" have all that and more too but eeuuuuwwww!!)! I personally have always wanted to taste anti-matter but have never gotten around to going above the cloud tops to taste any. Well, I am rambling on a bit too much, and I have to go to sleep because I have to go to work in the morning, I thought you should know some more about what we are.

TALL, PALE-SKINNED HUMANOID Stalks Sleeping Kids in Willow Creek, CA

Two siblings were visiting their grandparents' house in Willow Creek, CA. They were sleeping on the back deck when the boy observed an unknown tall, pale-skinned humanoid in the backyard.

I received the following account:

"I saw a tall, pale-skinned being in my grandparent's yard in Willow Creek, California in 1994.

I had grandparents (dad's father and stepmother) who lived in Willow Creek until their respective passing in the early 2000s. Before then my dad, sister, and I would visit at least once or twice in the summer and sometimes for Thanksgiving or Christmas. We lived in San Jose, CA at the time, which is an 8-hour drive away. We loved going to hike in the surrounding forests and playing in the Trinity River. We grew up hearing about Bigfoot (the famous Patterson video was shot in the area and the town is Bigfoot tourist-heavy), but we were taught to watch out for the very real pumas and bears.

I need to explain a bit about how my grandparent's house was laid out for some aspects of this story.

They had a small 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom house set at the corner of two streets. The road into the neighborhood off the main road ran along the backyard and the house ran along the other road off of that road. Several houses ran on each side of the street and a house sat behind their yard. Chain link fencing six feet tall went around their backyard and most neighbors' yards instead of solid wood fencing, so you can see into most yards. From the street and their house, it slopes down into the backyard and neighbor's yard by roughly 10 feet in total. Their backyard was mostly just grass and weeds with a small semi-growing garden near the neighbor's fence line and a big tree (maybe oak of some kind?) next to and partially over the solarium. They had a raised deck running the length of the back of the house with stairs down into the yard at one end and a solarium off their kitchen at the other end. Inside the house, the kitchen and dining room are immediately next to each other with the living room and front door next to it. At the back of the living room is a short hall with a master bedroom behind the kitchen and along the wall with the deck on one side, and the bathroom and guest room along the wall facing the side street on the other side. Grandparents of course got their master bedroom, dad would take the guest room, and my sister and I would sleep in the living room in winter or in the solarium if it was summer.

This story takes place in mid-August 1994. One last summer trip before school started in a couple weeks at the request of my sister for her 9th birthday earlier that month. I was 11 at the time. We left early to get there before dinner so Dad could nap from the drive a bit while me and sis went down to the portion of the Trinity River that ran at the very back of the neighborhood. The afternoon and evening went as usual. That night, we went to sleep in the solarium as was the custom for summer trips.

At some point in the night, I woke up. No real reason, not even to go to the bathroom. I just have always done that from time to time, even still. I did what I usually do and stared up at the stars and moon (around half visible, couldn't tell you if it was waxing or waning). All of a sudden, I got an intense feeling of dread that skipped fight or flight to straight "freeze or you're dead." After some time (most likely just a minute or two), I turned my head to the side to look into the yard. I had to turn to my side and lift myself a bit to get a better look, but the source of my feeling was impossible to miss. Standing at the bottom of the yard next to the neighbor's fence line stood a tall skinny creature with skin the color of the moon. It had no hair on its head or anywhere else that I could see. Its eyes were shiny white with a reflective quality, but not bright like a bright light was shining on them right then. Just moonlight. Its face had human features but seemed squished and flatter. Its arms seemed really long, but that could be just because it was really tall. The chain link fence came up to its armpits, so it had to be around 7-8 feet tall. Not enough to just step over the fencing, but I didn't hear it climb over unless it had been in the yard before I woke up and just didn't get the dread feeling until later. Its body had dirty brown-dark gray-looking rags over its chest and around its hips covering its crotch.

It was looking right at me. I got scared and ducked down into my sleeping bag as far as I could. My sister has always been a heavy sleeper and I didn't want her to wake up for this anyway. The next thing I hear heavy steps on the deck coming towards the solarium. There's a wood door with a screened window on the top of it (not opened at the time as far as I can remember). All was quiet for a while, so I peeked out through a small fold of the sleeping bag. Through one of the bottom windows of the solarium next to the door, I saw its pale large feet. The skin was rough and the toes were gnarled with dirty nails. I curled up trying not to make a sound or move much. The bag was getting stuffy.

The next thing I know my dad is gently moving me with his foot asking if I was cold because I was still huddled down into the bag. I looked around kind of disoriented. There was no evidence of that creature from the night before. No marks or footprints or bent fencing. My dad was a HUGE skeptic of anything paranormal, cryptic, and otherworldly, but I told him anyway. He of course blew it off as a dream. Sis, being a deep sleeper, didn't notice anything. I asked my grandparents if they heard or felt the thumping on the deck, which would have been along their bedroom wall. Nope. Both seemed weirded out by my story and my grandma later privately told me "There's lots of strange things up here. That's why we avoid being out at night." She wouldn't elaborate though.

It's obviously not a classic Bigfoot, but I don't know what it is. I've wanted to ask someone from the Hoopa Native Americans up there, but I haven't yet. I've never seen anything like it since. Although I have experienced plenty of paranormal things, those are different stories." AD
