Your theme makes me feel ill. Sorry if that's rude.

it - kinda is?

this is the sort of message one should not send unsolicited to someone, but rather, one should go out to the edge of a river, watch the sun set, then dig a hole in the sand.  into that hole you’ve made you must now whisper this opinion, then cover the hole and leave.  do not look back, for when you return weeks later, grasses will have grown from the location of your hole, and from them you may harvest wheat to make bread, and yea, when you break this bread with friends you will rejoice in their smiles and friendship and you will know each other with a depth truly rare in this world.

The Graphic Novel Bestseller List

Check it out, this list is full of the usuals (Walking Dead, Batman) but also has Saga, Boxers & Saints, The Best American Comics as #1 (illustrated cover by the amazing Kate Beaton) and, I’m proud to say, #2 on the list being THE ENCYCLOPEDIA OF EARLY EARTH by Isabel Greenberg.

Why is this big? Many reason!

1) This is the second week of the book’s pub, not debut week where you usually have higher sales.

2) It’s Little, Brown’s FIRST graphic novel, which is great for everyone as that means they will buy/publish more and grow the industry.

3) There’s only a paper over board format - no ereader.

4) Very little Barnes & Noble support. Huge indie and Amazon support.

5) She’s British - nice to see that not be an obstacle at all.

I’m so please and happy for her! If you’re looking for a fun amazing great book, I can’t recommend it enough! Here’s the link for NPR: http://www.npr.org/2013/12/03/246154137/moving-fables-of-gods-men-love-and-monsters-in-early-earth
