UFO over Woodvale

My wife and I were in the garden looking at some amazing cloud formations at sunset. It looked and felt like thunder.

I spotted a dark object very high, which I though may have been a buzzard.
I rushed in the house to grab my camera and captured a circular object that flew in a straight line and then seemed to circle back on itself.

Make of this one what you will but we do not know what it was.

First painting done in quite some time

I have not undertaken any painting for quite a long time.
This acrylic was enjoyable to create and took about ten hours to finish off, in two sessions.

Back in the days of the Palette Club in Southport at the Atkinson Art Gallery I exhibited art every year. I also ran a few solo art exhibitions elsewhere.

Sir Ron - things were not always that rosy!

Cllr Watson, affectionately referred to as ‘Sir Ron’ by colleagues and officers alike, has been honoured by the Mayor of Sefton Cllr June Burns and Leader of the Council, Cllr Marion Atkinson, to thank him for his decades of service.
