Grey phalarope sighting gets twitchers rushing to Marshside

Phalaropes have an unusual way of feeding. They spin around and around in the water to bring small creatures to the surface, picking up this food without slowing down as they frantically spin.

Birdwatchers at Marshside were seen flocking to grab a sight of this lovely little bird.
Similar to other phalarope species, the female is the most colourful. She leaves the male to hatch the eggs and b...

The riders urged the horses to bravely take on the little stream and cross it.
The response from the horses was to indicate to their riders that they were having none of it!

Nevertheless, success eventually came and the constabulary's cavalry finally crossed the watery hurdle.
