I Jumped on the Royals Bandwagon #Takethecrown
I've never cared about baseball before. I've never liked watching baseball or playing baseball. I was raised by a dad who loooooved baseball though. Growing up on the east coast I attended quite a few Yankees games and then when we moved to Kansas City, my dad bought Royals season tickets for several years. I always took my friends to the games where we sat in the bleachers and ate nachos and gossiped. I never paid any attention to the Royals or what they were doing.
Until this year.
Well,...

Trick or Treat? Please?
Gomer will be 10 this year and I've been wondering about what age is too old for trick-or-treating. I can remember trick-or-treating way past my prime. I can remember dressing up like Madonna in seventh grade. My dad wouldn't let me out the door until I showed him a picture of Madonna, because he was certain I was lying and my costume was really "underage hooker." I can remember hitting the local Walmart for adult-sized footie pajamas, a bib, and a pacifier when I was in college. I dressed up...

What Is That and Where Do You Want to Stick It?
The least they could do is make vibrate while it takes the pictures. My friend Lainey was visiting and we went to lunch so we could brag about our kids (hers is a Mathlete and mine is working on his professional soccer career), complain about our (lovable) husbands and lament about how old we're getting (we've been friends since high school).
Lainey is in the medical field so I always like the regale her with my tales of aches and pains and crappy doctor's visits. When we met for lunch...

Adolpha on the Lunch Line
I could see losing a juice pouch in this thing.School has started and we are all back in our routine. Adolpha started Kindergarten so I finally have both kids at the same school. Ahhh!!!
It's so interesting to see the differences between my kids now that they're both in school. Gomer is cautious and a rule follower. He makes the smallest waves possible and keeps his head down. Adolpha has never flown under the radar. She prefers to make a splash every where she...

Got Stress?
I just found the perfect Christmas gift for everyone my list. It's a rubber mushroom.
Don't miss the FULL video. It's hilarious.
http://www.firebox.com/video/3873
Think about it:
Women - it's a stress reliever, it's good for practice, you can tie a knot in it and tell your husband to back the f*ck away from you .... slowly.
Men - it's a stress reliever, it's good for practice, you can slap your buddy across the face with it and laugh like a maniac.
Enjoy the video and when you...

Farmer Jeanne and the Apple Orchard
Adolpha has gone on some crappy field trips before and I've always wanted her to go on a fun field trip like Gomer. Today she had a chance to go to the apple orchard just like Gomer did when he was in Kindergarten. We went to the same exact orchard, but this time it was a totally different experience than Gomer's.
There is never a place on the bus for a parent to ride and so I have to drive myself. I'm OK with this, because honestly, I would go nuts sitting on a noisy, bumpy...

Gabrielle What's Her Name
I know Gabrielle's real name, but on the advice of legal counsel I'll go ahead and leave out her last name on this post.
I don't know Gabrielle personally, but I sure feel like I do. Gabrielle used to own the house I currently live in.
Seven years ago, the Hubs and I bought this house when it was a foreclosure. This was before the big foreclosure boom that's been going on for years now and it was sort of rare to find a foreclosure in those days.

Sorta Racist Lesbian Couple Sues Sperm Bank
There is a white lesbian couple who recently had a child with the help from a sperm donation company. They went through the donor profiles and picked Donor No. 380 - a white man. They received sperm from Donor No. 330 - a black man. So now they're suing the company for damages to ensure this never happens again.
The baby has been born. She's a little girl. She's two. She's biracial. Her lesbian mothers are suing because even though they "love" her and wouldn't "change" anything about her, they...

Over Achieving Moms and Their Kids' Birthday Parties
It seems like we will never run out of areas for over achieving moms to dominate. Birthday parties have been a recurring theme that keeps popping up from my readers. Every week I get emails begging me to take on the over achieving birthday party moms. All of these emails contain links that send me to over the top birthday parties - each one more outrageous than the next. Since I've recently been called a "troll" for sending coveted page views to public blogs such as...

Overalls Are Back and I've Missed Them Soooo Much
Do you read RachRiot? Well, you should, because she's crazy funny.
The other day she sent me a link to an article about Emma Thompson's fashion sense. Emma was rocking a hot pair of overalls, a jaunty scarf, and a blazer (because a blazer makes overalls classy and less hobo).
YES! That's right, overalls are making a comeback, bitches! If you read my book, then you'll know that I once looooved to strut my style in overalls. Especially on my first date with my husband where I thought I was...
