STOP: It’s the Haunted Halloween Blog Tour 2012
I was recently asked to be part of theHaunted Halloween Blog Tour 2012. Now, anyone who knows me, knows that I love to be part of things, so it was no surprise I said yes. I had the choice to either host a blog or interview. I picked the latter, mostly because I always have something to ask someone.
The recievers of said questioning were none other than:
and
Tonia Brown
(Now you know what they look like… Just in case.)
I suppose I should be fair (and conceited)…This is me:

Lofty Writing Goals – Impossible? (I hope not.)
With the end of the year drawing close and all the stories I have out and about in PublishLand, I’ve taken it upon myself to get some more writing done.
I don’t take handwritten notes anymore, my phone had become the place where I jot down all the ideas I have.
As I was flipping through the notes I’ve taken over the past months, I had an idea.
Just get them done.
25 Short Stories, (plus the novella I’m working on at the moment), at least to completion of a rough draft, by New Year’s Eve.
Sounds do...

Have a book that needs promoting? Read this:
So you’ve just written a book but you don’t want to spend a small fortune (and possible a limb or two) on advertising?
“There’s only one reason to pay for advertising: to promote. There are only two reasons to promote: One – gain awareness. Two – make money.
If you spend $1000 on advertising and in return you receive $50 in sales, you’ll need $950 in brandawareness just to break even. However – if you spend $50 on advertising and receive $50 in sales, everything you gained in awareness is profi...

The joys (?) of “The End”.
Ahhh, The End. There’s nothing a writer loves more than scribbling those two, little, three letter words at the bottom of whatever manuscript they are working on. I finally finished the first draft of a novella I was working on, which meant I finally got to write “THE END”.
HOORAY!
*Balloons and streamers fall from the ceiling and some scantily-clad woman hands me a trophy*
Right?
No, not really… Actually, not at all.
Just because you’ve reached the end, doesn’t mean it’s done and ready to be subm...

Impressions I make #1 – “A force of nature in a tank top.”
Sometimes I worry about how I come across to other people. I can be loud, or possibly bordering on annoying. I try to make people laugh, but I might just come off as being an asshat. I love meeting new people and HOPEFULLY, they love meeting me… But you never really know.
UNLESS, someone posts a blog post like this one.
Thanks to Guy Anthony De Marco for the awesome write up.

It quells my fears a little.

Killercon 4 – Las Vegas – The Convention of Champions
Whoa. It’s four days after the awesomeness that was Killercon 4 (I’ve included the link for Killercon 5 here), two days since I’m home and I’m still not recuperated properly. (Between the lack of sleep / jetjag and the hurt I put on my liver, I’m not sure if I’ll ever be okay…) It was surely the most epic convention I’ve attended and having it in Las Vegas helped a lot.
Here’s a recap of the second convention I’ve attended this year. Well, as best a recap I can do, based on the amount of alcoh...

My Second Convention/First Reading – Horrorfind 14

Horrorfind 14 Banner at entrance.
So it’s the day after I got home from the long trek back from the United States. It was the second convention I’ve attended and nowhere near my last. We rolled into the hotel late on Friday but still in time to catch up with a lot of our friends. I wanted to get to the readings, but I ended up just being the social butterfly the entire night and meeting as many people as I can. We ended up outside on the curb, drinks in hand and people watching. (I love that p...
