He'll have to turn up the heat in order to melt her heart…

Logan Slade made the biggest mistake of his life eight years ago when he left his high school sweetheart at the altar and reported to the military. Now he's returned home and ready to do whatever it takes to win her back. But Trixie Frost isn't the same starry-eyed girl who believed he could do no wrong. Now she's stronger, independent, and more fascinating than any other woman he's ever met.

Trixie has spent the last eight years trying to forget Logan while devoting her life to the quirky town of North Pole, Alaska. She's in a good place, dating a nice man and ready to take the next step in their relationship until Logan walks into her bar and turns her life upside down again.

This sexy, determined, military version of Logan is a bigger threat to her than the boy she'd loved to distraction. She can't let him chip away at the protective wall of ice erected around her heart. Because there's no way she'll be able to put the pieces back a second time.

"I don't want you here," Trixie said.

"Too bad," Logan said. "I'm not leaving."

"Why are you so adamant about that? I know you, Logan. You leave, remember? It's what you're good at."

"Once. I left once. I'm not leaving again."

"Your 'once' was eight years long."

"I know. It took me a while to understand what I really wanted. You are what I want."

"Well, you can't have me. I'm not available."

A chill slid over him. "You married to someone else?"

"I don't have to be with someone to be unavailable," she finished.

Author BioI’ve spent many years crafting stories in my brain. Finally, after the encouragement from those that love and support me the most, I put my first story out by self-publishing in 2013.That first milestone created a writing monster in me that couldn’t be stopped and filled a void I cannot explain. Each story is a true gift from my heart and a sacrifice from my soul, since I find it difficult to let the characters go.At home in Texas, my husband and I share our life with children that mean the world to us and include a couple of fur babies. When we aren’t busy watching sports and betting on the game, we are entertaining with friends.I do have a writing cave, but honestly, most of my work comes from the kitchen, the heartbeat of any home. Since noise doesn’t disturb me too much when writing, I can write and keep the pulse on the family at the same time. And… Possibly enjoy my favorite, sinful treat… Cookie dough! The writer-reader world is my lifeline. I’m addicted and each time I get a message from a reader, I’m thrilled. There’s quite a few stories planned for the next several months. I’m hoping the readers fall in love with my next series, The Creek Series. A story that is guaranteed to bring out all the emotions.Social Links: Facebook  / AuthorFacebookWebsiteTwitter Amazonauthor pageGoodreadsBuy LinksAmazon.com Amazon.co.uk

EXCERPT:

Lowering my feet to the ground, he leads me to the bed. I wrap my arms around his neck and pull his head down to kiss me. I don’t want him to stop. When he's touching me, I feel beautiful and wanted. It chases away my insecurities and leaves me breathless. He sits on the bed and pulls me onto his lap, my legs straddling his body. My dress is pushed up over my hips, and I feel exposed. But when he kisses me again, I forget everything. His lips move from my mouth to my neck. My head falls back, exposing my chest to him, and he begins kissing me lower. I press my hips into his, and I can feel the bite of his zipper pressing into me.“My God, Quince, you feel so good. I want you so much. You're all I think about.” His words make me want more, and I feel the tension building inside of me. His hands wrap around my hips, his fingers digging into my skin as he rocks me back and forth. I close my eyes and lose control when my body explodes from the inside out.Again, I'm shocked by the intensity of the moment. He slows our movements, and kisses me tenderly. Pulling me close, we remain wrapped around each other for several minutes, neither of us saying a thing as our breathing becomes even.“Quince, have you told him? Does he know you have someone else waiting for you?”
Instantly, I come crashing back to earth.

CHOICESAmazon: B&N:   SYNOPSIS: FATE (Choices 2)
I'm used to getting what I want. I've always taken what I wanted. No apologies. No excuses.

I know what it feels like to be betrayed, when someone else is calling all the shots. I've been down that road, and I'm not going there again. I've got my family, my friends, and the brotherhood. That's all I need.

I believe in Fate. Everything happens for a reason. But what do you do when Fate kicks you in the gut, plays a cruel joke on you?

When I met Quincy Priest, she was a flame I couldn't put out. A freakin' wildfire. She blew in to my life, burned it to the ground, then left me standing in the ashes. Gone as suddenly as she came. I'm not sure if I should love her or hate her… But I don't hate her. I could never hate her.

What do you do when the person who broke you may be the only person who can put you back together?

Can you run from Fate?

Do you even want to?

This is Brody's story.

EXCERPT:

“So, what am I doing here, Brody?” Her voice cracks, like she’s nervous or scared of me. “You confuse me. I’m not really sure what you want from me.” Well, that’s an easy one.Walking toward her, I hold out my hand.”Quince, it’s not about what I want from you. It’s about what I want with you.”She hesitates before reaching for my outstretched hand, and I pull her to stand in front of me. With her boots on, she’s a little taller and a helluva lot sexier. I draw her close, her body perfectly aligning with mine. Indecision floods her eyes, warning me that I will scare her away if I move too fast. So instead, I begin to sway with the music that penetrates the walls. She moves with me, setting a slow, seductive rhythm, her hips gently swaying to the beat. And when she lays her head on my chest, I wonder if she can hear my heart, pounding inside.I feel her breath on my neck and her body flex as she rises to her toes, just before her lips touch the sensitive spot just under my ear. Breathing in deep, I tilt my head back, giving her control. Her lips part, and her tongue glides over my skin, blazing a path down my neck. My hands are suddenly in her hair, tangled in it, urging her on.“Fuck, Quince. You are driving me crazy,” I whisper. My voice is deep and hoarse. This is sweet torture. My words seem to ignite something in her, her hands finding the bottom of my shirt and tugging it up. Her movements grow more hurried, more needy, and her breath comes in short bursts.
Yeah, I think Little Miss Perfect likes dirty talk.

EXCERPT:

Eric's POV
As soon as the door closes, Jenna quickly turns, pushing me back against the door. "You think I didn't notice you checking me out?" The playful lilt of her voice sends chills up my back and down my arms, anticipation settling in the pit of my stomach."I can't help myself when you look like this," I groan as she runs her hand down my chest, pressing her body against mine. The way she molds to me, hip to hip, it's as if she were made just for me.My hands run up her thighs and around her ass, pulling her into me. I hold my breath as she leans closer, her lips ghosting across my mine, a whisper that is... almost. My eyes are drawn to hers, never wavering as she pulls back, her lips gliding along my jaw, to my ear, her soft exhale shooting bolts of pleasure pulsing through me. I close my eyes, anticipating her touch, her tongue... Her mouth moves against me as she whispers, "You are in so much trouble, Eric James."She abruptly pushes against my chest, freeing herself from my arms, backing away with a sly grin on her face. I take two steps toward her, and she holds up a hand, halting me where I stand. I'm confused. "What the hell, Jenna!?""You silly boy. You didn't think you were going to get off that easy, did you?" Still smiling, she sashays to the closet, those long, bare legs carrying her further from me. Slowly, she bends down, her shorts riding up to expose the soft curves of her ass, as she removes her boots one at a time. Every movement is calculated, orchestrated to draw me into her wicked web. Yeah, she knows exactly what she's doing."Sunshine, you do not want to play this game with me. I will win." My eyes trail back up her body as she stands. When she glances at me over her shoulder, her eyelids hooded, my body responds immediately.  "Oh, yeah?" The tip of her tongue runs over her bottom lip before she pulls it between her teeth. "I'd ask if you wanna bet on that, but you already did, didn't you?"That saucy little shit.
I've never wanted anything more in my life.

EXCERPT:
Declan's POV
"Do a shot with me?" She sways against me, wrapping her arms around my neck, and I wonder how much she's had to drink."Can't. I'm driving tonight.""Oh, come on." She pinches her fingers together, saying, "Just one little shot?""One." I give in but not without a price. "If I get to do it my way."  Her brows shoot up, her eyes swirling with questions. She has no idea what those red lips do to me, that if we weren't in the kitchen in the middle of a party, I'd throw her down and ravish her right this instant."Yeah? What's that?" Breathy. Soft. Sensual."Body shot." I push her backwards until she's propped up on her elbows.I reach for a shot glass, filling it to the rim with tequila. Once I'm done, I push her skirt high up on her thighs and place the shot glass between her legs. My hands linger, burning from her heat. Her eyes darken as her breathing hitches in anticipation. Next, I reach for a lime, running it down the top of her thigh, lingering when she gasps and closes her eyes. I add salt, sprinkling it down the wet line drawn in lime juice. Bending my knees, I lean down. I look up at her, our eyes meeting in one, brief heated moment. Ever so slowly, I lick the salt and lime from her leg, trailing my tongue over the soft skin there. She gasps when I move upward, my face nestled between her legs as I take the shot glass between my teeth and stand. I tip my head back and swallow the contents, a slow burn blazing a path down my throat. Without using my hands, I bend and drop the glass onto the counter."I should've known," she whispers, her eyes half-closed as her hand grips the edge."What?" I smile knowingly. I'd bet my car I know exactly what she's thinking right now."You don't do shots like a nice guy. You had to go and make it all sexy and shit."I smile knowingly, her assessment unleashing a week's worth of pent-up frustration. I'm trying, with all my might, to treat her right, but she's not making it easy."That's because you're all sexy and shit." I lean in, stealing one more kiss before she pushes me away, giggling. I push off the counter, standing in front of her. I take her hand, helping her down, her body sliding down mine one inch at a time. She backs away, her gaze never faltering.
She can pretend that she doesn't want this, but her body doesn't lie.

She is the epitome of innocence when she meets Noah. Noah is unabashedly handsome, intriguingly reckless and just cocky enough to be sexy. Gracie’s instincts tell her to stay far away from him and based on the stories she hears from her co-workers he leaves broken hearts in his wake. But still, she can’t explain her fascination with him.
Noah puts aside his bad boy ways when what he thought was a summer crush has him unexpectedly falling in love. But soon after Gracie transfers to UT Knoxville to be with Noah, their unexpected love becomes riddled with anger, deceit and humiliation.

As Jake talks her through a decision she’s not yet strong enough to make, together they uncover a truth so ugly neither of them is prepared for its fallout. IN TOO DEEP ~ EXCERPT
“Talk to me.” Jake scooted closer and tucked my hair behind my ear. I rolled over onto my back and crossed my arms over my stomach.“Jake. I hate that I am even going to say this out loud, but…Noah makes me feel like an idiot sometimes. I mean, part of why he was so taken by me in the beginning was because of how innocent I was. He liked that I was so naïve and didn’t know about a lot of things. And now, it seems like he isn’t happy unless I sacrifice that for him.”“Hm. That’s messed up.”“Do you think less of me for smoking pot, Jake?”“Gracie, our mistakes don’t define us, they help us make the choices that will one day be woven into who we become.”“Wow.”“What?”“You’re deep at two a.m.”“Gracie, you can’t let him steal who you are. You need to make choices based on who you are…right here.” He poked his finger into my chest. “Don’t make decisions because Noah is standing behind them convincing you they are the right choices for you.”“See, it makes so much sense when you say it. If I am thinking of someone else in the same situation, I would give them that exact advice, although not as scholarly as you just did.” I giggled and poked him in the bare chest that was peeking out above his comforter.“So, take your own advice, Gracie.”“It’s not that easy. It’s like he’s got strings tied to my emotions and my common sense. I can’t seem to think for myself when he wants me to do something I’ve never done before.”“Does he make you feel guilty if you don’t want to?”“Sometimes, but mostly he just makes me feel stupid. Like I’m too immature to make a sound decision. So, he makes it for me.”“Gracie! Only youshould be controlling the things you are doing with your mind…and…your body. Gracie, please don’t let him take things from you that you aren’t ready to give. Promise me.”“It’s not like that, Jake. It’s not like he knows he’s making me feel that way. I just do. I guess maybe I am just reading into his expressions and assuming what he’s thinking. Maybe I am just too insecure around him to think straight sometimes.”“I wouldn’t doubt that he knows exactly what he’s doing. I’ve seen him in action.”I had never been conscious of the things we spoke about in Jake’s bed. It was like pieces came together when Jake and I spoke. My thoughts flowed freely and they made sense. I never felt like I had to be anyone but me when I talked to Jake. He was so comfortable. I rolled over on my side again so I could see him as he spoke.“You shouldn’t be with someone who makes you feel that way, Gracie. Look, Noah is my friend but I have seen what he can do. He’s crushed more than a few girls on this campus. I know we’ve all seen him make a big change, but you still have to be careful.”“I know, Jake. He wouldn’t hurt me on purpose. I know he loves me. I think he just wants me to be a little more adventurous. I think he gets sick of the goody-two-shoes-Gracie.”“The Gracie I know,” he laid his hand on my cheek and kissed me on the tip of my nose, “is one of the most incredible people I have ever met. Her smile lights up a room and everyone feels her joy because, take it or leave it, she comes with no pretenses. You get all of her. The second you meet her, you’ve got her heart. And her security in her convictions is what makes her shine.” Tears flowed in a stream across my face and onto the pillow under my head. Jake gently placed his hand on the side of my face and wiped the tears away with his thumb.“Oh, Jake.” I sobbed out his name and crumbled in his bed. I didn’t know how he could still see me as the girl he just described. I wasn’t sure I even remembered her. “Come here, Gracie. Let me hold you.” He lifted the covers so I could climb under. He enveloped me in all that was Jake—his strength, his honesty and an indescribable level of friendship I never knew existed. I didn’t know what was to come with Noah, but I knew Jake would never walk away from me. I didn’t know how to do life without him.

On Solid Ground (In Too Deep #2)
Gracie survived an emotionally abusive relationship that wrecked her. Her ex, Noah, systematically chipped away at her self-esteem through intimidation, humiliation and infidelity which left Gracie unable to trust her own perception of his intentions. But after falling head over heels for Jake, her best friend and the man who stood by her through it all, she is ready to experience life in the way it was meant to be lived. However, Gracie may find it impossible to simultaneously heal from the trauma of abuse while navigating a relationship with Jake. Can she put her heart on hold in order to heal her soul? The sequel to the five-star debut novel, In Too Deep, chronicles Gracie's steps toward healing as she falls deeper in love, reaches out for help, stands on her own, steps out of her comfort zone, faces her biggest fears, and reconnects with a sensual, talented soul from her past all in hopes of finding herself on solid ground.

ON SOLID GROUND ~ EXCERPT
I felt my phone buzz against my leg. Sam. I answered just as the waitress brought Becki’s food and a carafe of coffee for me. I smiled to thank her, phone glued to my ear.“Gracie,” he started talking before I even said hello. “Honey, tell me you’re okay.”“Sam, I’m okay. I’m with Becki, and I really don’t want to talk about anything right now. I’m just trying to clear my head. How did you know—”I was pretty sure I knew the answer to my question though he answered before I finished it.“I just got off the phone with Jake.”“Are you angry with me, Sam?”“Angry? No. I’m worried about you. And him. You guys are…” His voice trailed off as Becki took her seat and started in on her home fries.“I know. With all my heart, I didn’t want to walk away from Jake, but I just need some time, that’s all.” I spoke, and Becki mouthed his name and cocked her head, questioning if that was who was on the phone. I nodded.“I get that. I guess I just needed to hear it from you.”“I don’t want to hurt him, Sam. He feels like I can only love him with part of my heart because he feels like Noah still holds the rest.”Becki’s eyes bulged, and Sam went silent. This was a great way to talk it out, to both confidantes at the same time. Stacy would probably be pissed I wasn’t sharing this with her, but I was so pained by the decision to walk away from Jake, I couldn’t bear saying it any more than I already had. Plus, I couldn’t afford a call to Florence, which is where she was when she’d posted pictures online the night before. It literally brought pain to my chest, thinking of Jake pacing in his apartment, running his hands through his hair, and mumbling to himself, trying to understand and digest what was happening. But, how could I be selfish and stay with him if being with him only reminded him of the part of my heart he thought he would never hold?I ended up putting Sam on speaker and the three of us talked it out for over an hour. My heart had stopped racing, and I wasn’t shaking as much, but my thoughts were still frantic and open-ended. When Becki went up to the register to pay the check, I took Sam off speaker and finished our conversation.“Gracie, he wants what’s best for you, and if putting an end to the relationship is best, he will be okay. It will hurt him, and he will have to heal, but he’s more about your happiness than his own. You know that.”“I know, Sam. I just want him to be happy, but maybe that won’t happen with me.”“Gracie, how about you start focusing on you and what makes you happy…and whole. If you stop worrying about how your decisions will affect other people, you may find the answers to your questions and comfort in place of your doubt.”“What the hell? Are you reading that out of a book?” I giggled. I knew Sam was deep and emotional—I’d seen that side of him before—but it wasn’t usually something that happened between the two of us. He usually just let Jake do the talking and pulled a “yeah, what he said” kind of follow-up.“Hey! Jake isn’t the last romantic stud on the planet. There are a few more of us around. Thanks for doubting my soft side.” “Aww, Sam, I don’t doubt your romantic side. Thanks for your advice. It makes a lot of sense, and it’s exactly what I needed to hear.”“I’m always here for you, too. Jake isn’t the only collegiate Superman, you know.”“I know. Thanks, Sam.”“I love you, Gracie.”“I love you, too. Talk soon?”“Hope so.”Becki was sitting across the table having just walked into a whole lot of mush at the end of my conversation with Sam. “What the hell is with you?” She stood and motioned toward the door. “You have two of the most amazing men on the planet wound around your finger. Why…how? Nevermind. You piss me off.” She chuckled and bumped into me with her hip as we walked out the door.

Above the Noise (In Too Deep #3)
Becki Mowry's journalism expertise keeps her busy as she spends her waking hours filling a calendar with gigs and public appearances for her boyfriend's up and coming band, Alternate Tragedy. Radio interviews and TV spots result in sold out concerts and rowdy groupies hot for her guy; lead singer, Calon Ridge. But, as fame would have it, their time in the limelight also brings sabotage, rumors and false accusations. Becki and Calon try to stay steadfast on a personal journey that takes them to the depths of fear and uncertainty. And finally, the rug is pulled out from under the band when they must make a transition they never dreamed they'd be faced with. In this third book of the In Too Deep series, Becki and Calon struggle to find balance as they navigate their new relationship while living amid the rock world's nocturnal chaos. But when life's unexpected obstacles come out of nowhere, they focus on finding their own private solace Above the Noise.

ABOVE THE NOISE ~ EXCERPT
BeckiThe first time Calon and I drank together was after one of their shows when he walked me back to my dorm. The guys didn’t usually drink during a show, but a big storm rolled in that night just as their first set started. The atmosphere inside Mitchell’s unexpectedly turned from a slamming rock sound to an acoustic vibe when the lights went out. Gracie ran around and gathered as many candles as she could from the back room, and we all helped her light them and place them on the silent speakers all around the stage. Calon and the guys enjoyed beer after beer and did a show like I’d never seen from them. It was rustic with a little folk-funk. The bar’s patrons sang along in the glow of about forty container candles of all different sizes. Calon sat center stage on a stool and sang away the hours with his guitar resting on his thigh. The whole night was ethereal and quaint and very fucking sexy. He asked if he could walk me home again, which was exactly what I’d hoped for. When we crossed the road right outside of Mitchell’s, Calon grabbed my hand, and we ran for the opposite sidewalk that led across campus and up to my dorm. Electricity ran through the hand he held, I was sure he could feel it because he didn’t let go. He told me groupie stories for the entire length of our walk to my room. I was laughing when I pushed my door open. Being a little tipsy, I tripped and fell into him, pinning him against the open door. My hands landed on his chest, and, in an attempt to keep up both upright, his strong hands grabbed my hips. My mind shot back to the thoughts I’d had earlier while watching his deft fingers move on the strings of his guitar. His t-shirt was damp from sweat, and his curls tickled my forehead when he laughed. It was one of those moments you see in movies when the couple finds themselves in a compromising position and they freeze; chests heaving, mouths agape, and hearts racing. His eyes searched my face, but for what I didn’t know.I pushed off his chest and, a bit shaken, walked to the mini fridge and grabbed the bottle of vodka from the top freezer portion.“Shots?” I spun around and took in all of him; dark curls, sultry green eyes, an intense stare, and lips I could entertain for days.“Absolutely.” He let the door close, plopped down on my bed, and leaned back against the wall, his legs so long they hung at a weird angle not quite touching the floor. He had a hole in his jeans just below his front pocket, which puckered when he sat. I had a hard time diverting my attention from it. I was completely oblivious to what my heart was capable of at that point, so the alcohol was an attempt to loosen up before we started making out. This was the token third time he’d been to my room, and that’s just how it typically worked. The guy comes back the third time after not getting laid the first two, you know they want it, or they’d have given up after the second night of blue balls. We did a couple shots and laughed about random shit, and then there was the uncomfortable silence; it was deafening. I decided to make the first move before it got really awkward. I turned on the twinkling lights that hung above my bed and turned off the overhead fluorescents. I climbed onto the bed on my knees facing Calon and reached for his face to pull him in for a kiss. He stopped me and held me still by the wrists.“Becki, I’m not here for that.” He loosened his grip on my wrists, and I dropped my hands in my lap.“Oh.” Fuck. He wasn’t interested. It was one thing to be turned down by the conceited freak from my study group, but to be turned down by a hot rock star who probably hits every piece of ass offered to him sliced a little deeper. I brushed it off like it didn’t bother me, but it did.“No, no. Listen.” He took my chin between his thumb and finger and pulled my face a little closer to his. “I am extremely attracted to you, Becki. I love your personality, and you’re gorgeous, so my comment wasn’t a rejection.” He smiled, and I felt like a complete idiot, a slutty idiot.“It’s okay, I get it. It was stupid for me to—”“Shh. No regrets, Becki. You’re attracted to me, too, and I’m glad. I’m just not one to rush into that kind of thing.” He dropped his hand from my chin, and it joined my hands in my lap. I held his hand with both of mine.“Wow. I’m pretty sure you’re the first rock star in history to turn down a groupie.” I rolled my eyes and got up to pour more shots. Calon followed me over to the mini fridge, put his hands on my waist and spun me around. His thumbs touched my skin when my Marilyn Monroe tank flounced with my spin.“I don’t see you as a groupie, Becki, and I’m technically not turning you down. I can’t explain it, but I feel like there’s more here between us, a connection that we should pay attention to.” He rubbed the outside of my bare arms with his warm, strong hands. Those fingers…

Book Tour: Today I am speaking with BL Wilde and her writing. Devotion #3 in The Seductors Series.

Devotion - Tour Banner AUTHOR INTERVIEW
1. Are you famous is the general question I get when family and friends introduces me to their friends. It always left me with a pause as quick comebacks filters through my mind but ending up saying something like ….”Oh gee thanks” and give a shy smile, silly I know but the idea unsettles me. (a)Does this happen to you and (b) what do you say?
No, no one has asked me that before. I hide behind a penname, silly,  I know, but I’m ever much an introvert. I write because I love to write and if I gain readers that love my books that is a bonus. If I ever did become famous, I’d freak out at first, but have to learn to cope with it I guess. ;)

2. In general do you like to talk about you writing and published books or are you very close-lip about it? If no why?
I do keep my writing schedule close lip, that’s just the way I write, but when it comes to talking about my stories once they are written, I’m more or less open about anything, except from giving the ending away. LOL

3. What book/s are you currently writing and what is it about?
My current work is The Seductors Series. Seductors are secret agents that use sex and seduction to steal from their mark. This series follows Jade, the top Seductor and her target, Oliver.  What happens when she falls for her mark? Will her heart finally overrule her head?

4. Why this particular genre?
I love romance,  and with this series it needed that extra heat that erotica brings.

5. What inspire or motivate you to write?
I love getting lost in a story. It may be me that write it, but I go along on the journey just like my readers. My characters have a mind of their own, I never completely know where they are going to take me.
6. What is the writing process like for you?
Each story is different. Sometimes I write every night and can have the first draft done within a month, some are more delicate and I have to keep going back to them. My editor always reads and edits as I write though, so I have someone to bounce ideas off.

7. How did/do you teach yourself to write?
I’m not sure I ever did. LOL.  I read a lot. I’m a stronger believer that you need to read in order to write.  I guess I learnt that way. :)

8. What aspect of the craft do you think is most difficult to learn?

The pace of a story is the hardest. You don’t want to bore your readers with too much information, but if it’s needed, it can slow a story down.  I’ve never been one to go over the top with description either, I want my readers to picture their own version, not one I’m making them see.  I do get criticized for this, but that’s my style, I refuse to change it.
9. What has been the most encouraging comment someone has made about your writing?

I get tingles when readers say they couldn’t put the book down. That in my opinion is the best review you can get. :)
10. What is the best and/ or worst part of being a writer?
The best thing is the people you meet, bloggers, authors and readers alike.  It’s an amazing community. The worst is the constant PR you have to do, it’s time consuming and takes you away from writing.
11. Any advice for struggling writers?

Keep going, never give up. You have to fight to get your voice heard.
12. What is your favorite genre to read or write?
Romance Erotica
13. Favorite author?
E.L James

14. Do you have a favorite spot to read and write?
I’m lucky, I can write anywhere so long as I can switch off from the world.

15. What did you do before you became a writer?
I worked in a hotel.

16. Was it a life long dream or triggered recently?
I’ve always written, I just never thought anyone would want to read my work. LOL

17. What do you like to do when not writing?
I watched movies, or TV series. I’m watching The Walking Dead season 4 right now. :)

18. Do you have a bucket/ to-do list and would you share at least two things on it?
Visit New York Swim with dolphins

19. Most daring thing or experience you have done you would like to share?

Doing a speech in front of 100 people, for an introvert like me that was daring. LOL
20. This or that questions:
• Coffee or Tea -  TEA
• Sweet or savory – SWEET
• Home make meal or takeouts –  TAKEOUT
• Winter or summer –  WINTER
• Night-owl or Early-Bird –  NIGHT OWL
• Telephone or visits –  VISITS
• Which social network do you prefer? FB
• Blogger or website? BLOGGER
• What does your family say about your career? Supportive or Clueless CLUELESS

I loved spending time in Macon with Oliver and his family, but I was glad once we got back to New York. I had him all to myself, and as selfish as it sounded, I loved it when we were alone. New York held the most memories for me with him. “I think your uncle is warming to me,” I mused as we sat eating the dinner that Mrs. Davis had prepared for us. “He actually wished me a safe trip when we left this morning.” “It’s definitely progress,” Oliver chuckled. “Now that we’re back in New York, you need to tell me what you want to do for your birthday. It’s only a few weeks away.” “Well, we are fucking on my desk at work for sure. You promised me,” he winked, licking his lips. Damn him! He was too sexy for words. “You’re sex crazed,” I giggled, shaking my head. “What about going out to dinner somewhere? We could go away for a weekend, too.” “A dirty weekend away?” I threw my napkin at him. “What?” “Stop thinking about sex!” “That’s difficult. I happen to have an incredibly sexy girlfriend that I want to fuck all the time.” “Oliver!” “If you think about it, you’re the reason I’m sex crazed. This is your entire fault, Jade.” “Oh, that’s right—blame it all on me,” I laughed, taking a sip of wine. “Do you have any idea how happy you make me?” “No, but I know how happy you make me.” “I’m not hungry anymore.” Oliver suddenly had that look in his eyes again. The ‘I’m going to rip the clothes from your body and fuck you’ look. Instantly, I had to hold my legs together. It looked like he was going to try a prove a point. “You’ve hardly eaten. I hope you’re not coming down with anything,” I replied, innocently. “I’m not coming down with anything, but I certainly will be going down on something tonight.” “Oh, God,” I whimpered, choking on my sip of wine. “All this sex talk is making me horny. I’m going to give you a thirty second head start, then I’m planning on making you cum as many times as I can on my staircase. There are thirty four steps total. I’m thinking that’s at least ten orgasms I’ll be able to give you, maybe more, until I throw you on my bed and slide my cock inside you.” I couldn’t move. I sat there gawking at him. Ten orgasms. I couldn’t handle that! “Run Jade, I mean it. I’ll start on this table if I have to.” I stood up and ran. My heart was pounding hard in my chest. Why was I running anyway? I wanted Oliver to catch me. I managed five steps on the staircase before he caught me from behind. “That was a feeble attempt to try and get away. Anyone would think you wanted me to catch you,” he whispered into my ear, sucking on my earlobe as his hands moved to undo the buttons on my jeans. “I’m going to drive you crazy, Beautiful. I hope you’re ready.” I couldn’t answer; his hands had already slipped inside my jeans and I was lost. Oliver began to put pressure on my sex through my panties. Why didn’t he just push my panties to the side? It was so frustrating. “Do you like that, Beautiful? I can feel your panties getting damper. How many pairs have I ruined now?” “Too many to count,” I panted, gripping the banister for support as he sped up the movement of his hand. “W…What about Mrs. Davis?” “She’s staying with a friend tonight. We’re all alone.” I could hear his smirk as he planted kisses down my neck. Starting to climb already, I knew my first orgasm was quickly approaching. “That’s it, Jade, give it up. I want to hear you let it all out.” I came, groaning out a string of nonsensical words, trying to hold myself up as I came undone. “I’ll give you a minute this time to compose yourself and run.” “Are you being serious?” I gasped, still clutching the stairs. “I can hardly stand!” “A minute and a half then,” he smirked, tilting his head. “You can manage a few more steps, Jade.” I wasn’t sure I could. “Just put one foot in front of the other.” “Alright, Mr. Cocky.” “Interesting choice of words.” I rolled my eyes and began to take a few unsteady steps, but it was difficult when I was still in a state of bliss. “You’re making this too easy,” he chuckled, pulling me so I was facing him. He backed me against the railing, gazing down at my chest. With one swift tug, he pulled my top over my head. “I’ll never get enough of undressing you,” he mused, running his fingertips across the top of my breasts and then into my bra, stroking my aching nipples. While his one hand continued to tease my sensitive skin, his other went south and slid right inside my panties. “Fuck, I got you well and truly worked up, didn’t I?” He ran his fingers through my slick folds, and I had to bite my lip to fight the pleasure. I had no control over myself when it came this man. “Shit, I can’t wait to fuck you. I can feel my cock already leaking at the thought.” “Ugh, Oliver, you can’t say stuff like that to me!” “Is gets you excited. I know you love it when I talk dirty.” He slid his fingers inside me and began another excruciating pace. “Do you know what I’m going to do after this?” he whispered, biting down on my left nipple through my bra. I couldn’t help but cry out—it felt amazing. “I’m going to strip you naked and taste you. You know I love eating you out.” I wasn’t going to survive the night, but if this was how it ended, death by an Oliver orgasm was the way to go.

This is what Reviewers say about this book:
Amazing!!!

I immediately connected with this book and its characteristics. finished reading it in one night and it was completely worth the read.
Julissa @ Goodreads.
A book that sticks in your mind.
They say the sign of a good movie or book is that even when you've completed reading it, the words and ideas continue to take up space in your mind. This book is of that variety. In between sets of reading, and certainly after swiping the last e-page, I found myself frequently pondering some of the ideas she offers and comparing them to my own. And the beauty of this book is that the author encourages the reader not to necessarily believe in her beliefs, but to share her passion for living with a set of beliefs that work for her, with the hopes that her readers will do the same for themselves. The premise being that once we've carved out a path of our own - once we have a better understanding of who we are and who we want to be - we are better prepared for blazing our own trail, moving through our lives with fearless grace.

The author describes her spiritual journey and sexual healing process via snippets and flashes of her life story. Part travelogue, part love story, and part inner-conversation, she pointedly and fearlessly expresses not only the shame she felt growing up, but also the release of that shame by braving new experiences, finding her truth through reading and deep introspection, traveling near and far, and dancing the Blues.

The great thing about this book is that its stories are relatable. The beauty of that type of memoir is that we are offered a space to reflect on our own "ordinary" moments in a deeper and more thoughtful way. Finding Ecstasy encourages this, and may even be the author's "soul" purpose of the book itself.

If you're up for a book that forces you to reflect, this one is definitely for you!

Sémya Louise Slotin was staring at Josh Heinz talking on his mobile and sighed for the third time. Once again, he was keeping her in the dark and she hadn’t felt this helpless in years. No, it wasn’t even that. She was desperate and she hadn’t felt like this in a long time. That helpless desperation that took her over each time she knew she couldn’t control a situation. The first time she felt this way was after her birth mother, Corinne Durante, told her that she was dying. Her mom had always been honest with her, but at eight when you learnt that your only parent was going to die of AIDS, a then relatively unknown illness, wouldn’t you become desperate too? Then there was the time when her adoptive mother, Annika Slotin, was accused of the murder of her creep of a husband, Martin Demeure. She knew that her mother was innocent but she was just fifteen and no one listened to a fifteen-year ago teenager; even if her IQ was three times higher than average. For both of these events she had an anchor, her safe harbour, her Russian princess, her Polliannah. So it was smooth sailing for a while until one night her anchor called her. She was scared and for the first time, Polliannah was the one who needed her help and support. Sémya dropped everything and took the first flight to Moscow. She had never felt as desperate and helpless as she was that day. She was only twenty-two, but she needed to be strong for them both. They packed up everything and left Europe for new horizons, new adventures, new encounters and new mysteries to solve. That was what Sémya had been known for, solving mysteries. And when she wasn’t sleuthing, they kept each other safe from bad men, wrong men, and stupid men. It was just the two of them until Josh Heinz came into their lives three and a half years ago. After the Hawaii fiasco, which she scarcely remembered, Sémya and Polliannah went back to Europe; with Josh. They moved to London; where Josh was. They settled in Camden Town; across the street from Josh. There, Sémya had spent nearly every night… with Josh. Josh, Josh, Josh… the handsome and sexy Josh Heinz. The secretive and mysterious Josh Heinz. The guitarist with a suave voice Josh Heinz. Josh, Josh, Josh… Josh, who stated that he loved her. Josh, who said that he wanted to protect her. She sighed for the fourth time and headed to the closest kiosk. This time she failed her. After eight years of taking care of each other, of dodging every bullet in the name of love, friendship and family, she failed Polliannah. They received the scariest call from her, she was crying. Her new boyfriend John had been killed and she thought that she was next. So Sémya felt helpless and desperate again. She lost control of the situation, control of their lives. She was angry. Anger usually followed. She and Polli lived a quiet life in London. Who would want to harm them? One thing for sure, Josh knew and as usual, he wasn’t talking. But they would see about that.

Announcing the newest Book Release of Bestselling Author, Rebecca York: Destination Wedding. There's a Excerpt to read, and Giveaway to enter.

Destination Wedding by Rebecca York Series: Decorah SecurityGenre: Paranormal Romantic SuspenseRelease Date: November 7, 2014

After a billionaire’s daughter, Camille Norland, is kidnapped by a Russian mobster bent on matrimony, Decorah Security agent Nick Cassidy is her best hope of rescue.  Nick’s never admitted his feelings for Camille. Now he’s desperate to save her before the wedding night. But can they escape from Victor Zanov’s heavily fortified island paradise?

“This is our chance for freedom. Nick Cassidy’s not on duty today.”

Camille Norland spun toward her younger sister, Eden, noting the hopeful look in her blue eyes. She was talking about one of the bodyguards their father had hired to keep the family safe. He’d been on the estate for six months—the worst six months of Camille’s twenty-five years.

The guy was brutally handsome with a hard body that would send any woman’s blood pressure shooting up. His lips looked hard, but she suspected that they would soften when they came down on hers. I mean, if you were going to pick a man for a romantic fling, he was it. She couldn't help being attracted to him. And she knew for sure it was mutual, because of the way his gaze would flick quickly away when she caught him looking at her.

But working for Samuel Norland apparently meant that he wouldn't get involved with Camille. It also meant he was an unbending son of a bitch. A stickler for procedure. If he thought it wasn't safe to do something, you didn't get to do it. You didn't get to go swimming in the ocean. Or go into town for shopping or to a restaurant for lunch. You stayed on the Norland estate where you were bored out of your skull.

“Dad’s birthday is coming up next month,” Eden said, curling a strand of blond hair around her finger the way she did when she was trying to get her way. “I want to buy him something he’ll really like.”

Camille countered with a practical suggestion. “We can shop the Internet.”

Eden gave her a pained look. “If you want to be a good little duby and stay home looking at a computer screen, be my guest. But I’m going to a real mall with real merchandise. Bobby will take me.”

Camille sighed. Maybe the best thing to do was go along to keep her little sister from doing anything too outrageous.

Or really, what she should do was call Nick Cassidy.

Bobby Cunningham, blond, surfer cute, and eager to please, was new on the job, and Nick would tell him to keep them home. But then Eden would call Camille a squealer and give her the ice-cold treatment for weeks, which would make life even more unbearable.

Eden had already grabbed her purse. “We’ll be back before anybody knows.” For good measure, she added, “What’s the point of having gonzo bucks if you can’t have any fun?”

Camille nodded, thinking the lack of fun part was more true for her little sister than it was for herself. Eden had been born with a heart defect that had been repaired. But she’d never been in robust health, and Dad kept her protected like a piece of fine china wrapped in layers of tissue.

Plus, when Camille had been little, things had been more normal. She’d gone to some good private schools, then spent four glorious years away from home at Florida State, living the life of a regular college student. Well almost regular, until Mom had died, kicking dad into over protective mode.

Eden interrupted her thoughts. “I want to stop at that new jewelry store and look at gold chains. One of those thick ones would look great on Dad.”

“And he’d probably like one of the books on the New York Times nonfiction list,” Camille added, thinking he’d prefer reading material to jewelry, but there was no harm in getting both.

Still she felt a twinge of guilt as they climbed into the back of the Lincoln Town Car and headed for the iron gates that closed off the Norland estate from the rest of Longboat Key. Turning right, they headed for the mall.

“Relax,” Eden said as she reached into the refrigerator at the side of the passenger compartment and pulled out a Coke.

Camille crossed her long legs and leaned back in the plush leather seat, taking in her sister’s impish face, hoping they could keep the trip short.

Looking toward the front of the car, she saw Bobby dividing his attention between the road ahead and the rearview mirror.

“Anything wrong?”

“No,” he answered. “Just being cautious.”

She couldn't help thinking about Nick again. If you were going to leave the estate, he’d be better protection than Bobby. Only, with Nick, they wouldn't be here at all.

The mall parking lot was crowded, and Bobby wouldn't drop them off at the door. Instead he drove up and down the rows and finally found a space half a block from the entrance.

A few seconds after they got out, a van pulled up in the lane behind them. Then another one materialized in front, blocking them in.

Bobby drew his gun and spun around, as four tough-looking guys converged on them. One slammed him to the ground.

Another shoved Eden aside. And a third reached for Camille. Before she had time to scream, something cold and wet came down over her face, and her vision instantly went wonky. As she slipped to the blacktop, two of the men grabbed her and dragged her away.

oOo
Nick Cassidy got the emergency call when he was already on his way back to the Norland estate. He’d had the day off, and he’d thought he’d relax at a shooting range.

After an hour of practice with his Sig, where he’d topped his previous score, he’d gone to lunch at a little deli overlooking one of Florida’s million lakes. As he ate a pastrami sandwich on the shaded patio, he thought about asking Frank Decorah for a change of assignment.

The Norland job would have been a good one—if he and Camille hadn't set off sexual sparks when they were together, an unfortunate situation when you had to keep your emotions under control. And then there was the other daughter—Eden. She and Camille looked a lot alike, but the only thing he felt for her was annoyance that she was constantly bending rules and testing limits.

When his phone rang, he pressed the talk button on the steering wheel.

“Thank Christ I got you.”

“What?” Nick demanded, instantly on the alert.

“Camille is missing.”

“From the estate?”

Nick could hear Bobby gulp. “No. Eden asked me to take them shopping—to the mall.”

“You’re still there?”

“Yeah, with Eden.”

Nick wanted to order them home, but he needed Bobby to show him where the attack had happened.

“If you haven’t gotten her into the freaking car and locked the doors, do it,” Nick bit out as he pulled into the parking lot of a strip mall and made a U- turn. He didn't waste the energy telling Bobby what a stupid shit he’d been. He simply sped toward the shopping center, asking for details as he drove.

“Do we call the cops?” Bobby asked.

“According to our instructions, that’s up to Norland,” Nick answered.

oOo
Camille drifted in a comforting dream. She clung to it because she instinctively knew that if she allowed herself to wake, she wouldn't be able to cope with her current reality.

Sinking deeper into sleep, she snuggled more tightly into a man’s powerful arms and knew that it was Nick Cassidy holding her. She didn't open her eyes and look at him, but she caught the familiar citrus scent of his aftershave and felt the well-toned muscles of his hard body.

“Finally,” she whispered. “You finally came to me. What changed your mind?”

“I had to,” he answered in a thick voice.

She snuggled closer, pleased by the desperation she heard.

“We both know this is wrong,” he said. “I work for your father. I can’t be intimate with his daughter.”

The rough way he said the word “intimate” sent a hot chill skittering over her skin.

“If you weren't working for my father, we never would have met—and been attracted to each other.”

He made a sound of acknowledgment deep in his chest, a sound she took for surrender.

“It’s okay. You know it’s what we both want.”

She cupped her hands around the back of his head, bringing his lips to hers, wordlessly telling him that they belonged together. The brush of her mouth against his was like the completion of an electric circuit, the power flowing from him to her as he took command, his mouth ravaging hers in an act of pure passion. She opened for him, welcoming the invasion of his tongue, the touch of his hands as they stroked and caressed her. Finally, after all these months of circling each other like dancers in a stylized ritual, he was going to make love with her.

She rolled to her back, giving him access to her body, waiting for one of his hands to claim her breasts and the other to slide downward into the hot core of her. For a charged moment, he hovered over her.

Then to her utter disappointment, he pulled away. When she reached for him, she grabbed only cool air, and she knew he had never really been there at all.

She wanted to sob out his name, but she understood that calling to him in this place would be dangerous.

Book Blitz: Unwritten by MC Decker. "I thought it was too late. I thought our story had already been written."

SYNOPSIS:
I thought it was too late. I thought our story had already been written.

College sophomore Brooke Anderson thought she had it all − a loving family, her sexy high school sweetheart, a supportive, quick-witted best friend and dreams of being the next hotshot reporter for the Washington Post.

Fate had something else in mind when Brooke collided with the devastatingly handsome upperclassman, Rich Davis. Rich was cocky, conceited and arrogant. He was everything that Brooke didn’t want, but Rich never gave her the option. He had already made the choice to be, at the very least, her friend. Would Brooke accept this egotistical man’s friendship? Would she choose to want more? Would it be too late if she did?

Fast forward nearly ten years. Brooke’s life hadn’t played out quite as she had envisioned it. She was suffering from the heartbreaking loss of her mother, her high school sweetheart was long gone, and her dreams of the Washington Post had turned into a career at a small town paper. Brooke decided it was time to follow her dreams. If she couldn’t be happy in love, at least she could be happy in life.

Brooke’s dreams brought her to the lobby of the Washington Post where fate intervened once again as she collided with none other than the devastatingly handsome Rich Davis. As her potential employer, Rich now seemed off-limits. Brooke wanted her successful career more than a chance at love. But, was it really her choice to make, or was it beyond her control?

Maybe our story is, in fact, Unwritten …

EXCERPT:
“Your view … your entire office … it’s exquisite,” I said after soaking it all in.
“We haven’t spoken in over nine years, and you want to talk about my view?  But now that you mention it … my view is quite exquisite and I’m not referring to the skyline, or this office” he said, while licking his bottom lip. “You’re just as beautiful as ever, Brooke.”“… … … Rich, why am I here?”
Rich walked over to his side of the desk and placed his palms flat on its surface as if bracing himself before speaking, his intense, teal-blue eyes looking directly into my soul. “You’re here because when your application came across my desk, I knew it was a sign that I had to see you again … had to hear you laugh again … had to smell that sweet scent again. I’ve missed you, Brooke.”
He took a deep breath before continuing, “Every time an application came across my desk I hoped that one day it would be yours. You always said this was it for you – your end game and your dream job. I’d be lying to myself and to you, if I didn’t tell you that I came here and accepted this position, hoping that one day we’d find each other again.”
“So, you only scheduled an interview because you wanted to finish what we never started ten  years ago?” I asked in my most accusatory tone.
“Pshh, you would get that from what I just said, wouldn’t you? No, of course not, Brooke. I wanted you to come for an interview, because I was impressed by what I read on your resume. You’ve had an impressive career and I think you would make an excellent addition to my editorial staff. Trust me, I’m not the only one who thinks that. Your resume made it through three layers of a selection process before it ended up on my desk.”“Oh … OK. Well, thanks.”
He looked at me with the most devilish grin before adding … “It just doesn’t hurt that I want to get to know you again.”
I could feel the heat rising in my cheeks and expected that they had turned a bright shade of pink.
“Rich, I can’t do this. I really do want this job, but if I accept the position, assuming that you are offering me one, I … we can’t do this. You’d be my boss. I can’t and I won’t be my boss’s pet. No one would ever take me seriously. I wouldn’t take me seriously. I’ve worked too hard for my career.”
“I’m sorry, Brooke, I should have kept that to myself. I don’t want to scare you away. How about this … I don’t offer you the position – today? We talk – you know, catch up – conduct a real interview. Then I’ll send you on your way to your hotel. You will then eat at the restaurant where my secretary has already made dinner reservations for you. I’ll just happen to show up and we’ll meet once again. I’ll just be Rich and you’ll just be Brooke. We won’t be interviewer and interviewee. What do you say, Miss Anderson? Sound like a plan?”
I had to give him credit; he sure did make it sound so easy.
“Sounds more like a date than a plan, Mr. Davis. You’ve really given this some thought. That truly is some proposition,” I responded with a wink.
“I’ll take your feisty response as a yes then. And, yes, I’ve been thinking about this since I left you on your doorstep, wearing that ravishing, purple gown over nine years ago. Now, the quicker we begin your interview, the faster we can get to dinner, the earlier I can get you to my place so we can make up for lost time. What do you say, let’s begin your interview, shall we?”
“Ye-, Ye-s, sure … fire away.”

Jamison brought his fist down on the table. “You couldn’t have mentioned that you stormed into the Raiders club and took Delta?” Drake stared at his vice prez. He liked Jamison—trusted him. Only Jamison knew how deep Drake had sunk after his tours of duty or how much alcohol he’d consumed. The few who knew about Drake’s leg thought he’d lost it in war, but the truth was, he’d lost it to idiocy. Jamison was a fool if he believed they hadn’t used force to get Delta. “Did you think we’d just parley with the enemy and they’d gladly hand over their woman?” Jamison raked his fingers through his hair, leaving tracks. His face was tense. “The MC rules are full disclosure. You fucking tell me everything that happens out there.” He pointed at the door and the world beyond. “I don’t care if it’s a drug run or you shoot up a club to get back Ever’s sister.” “No one fired a shot,” Pax said. “Then how the fuck did you take Delta by force?” Jamison looked at each of them, probably looking for split lips or knuckles, evidence of a fistfight. “Drake had a bomb.” Jamison met Drake’s gaze. He knew what Drake had done in the Marines. What he’d done for his country. He blew shit up, but he’d lost his leg from driving drunk. “Okay.” Jamison’s eyelid twitched. “From now on, the club needs to know this shit. Got it?” “Yeah.” Drake wasn’t concerned with the club at this moment. When the asshole Raiders’ prez had moved, Delta had folded up. An abused woman if Drake had ever seen one. He clenched his teeth. “If this is club business, what the fuck are we going to do to get her back?” Jamison rested his hands on the table. Strother might be president, but they’d all followed Jamison while Strother took care of his own shit. First he’d lost his son to drugs then his wife had gone crazy with grief. “She wasn’t trying to escape the Raiders in the first place,” Jamison said. Drake didn’t agree, but he remained silent. “She has a right to return with them.” Silent—until now. “Do you think for a minute they’ll let her come visit her sister?” He had opinions about how free Delta was to come and go anyway. Now they’d lock the fortress around her. Jamison shook his head. “No, they won’t. But do we start another war?” The Hell’s Sons had just battled the local charter of the Raiders in order to get Ever back. Just days ago some of their men had fallen. They’d barely gotten them buried, and now they were talking about another war. “I’ll go alone.” Everyone stilled. In the other room, Ever’s sobs sounded, followed by Ace’s comforting tone. Jamison clenched his fists. They were all protective of Ever, and that had extended to Delta for the time she was here. Both women had something that reached into a man’s chest and tugged at his heart.
