Winner of the 2014 International Book Award and the Pinnacle Achievement Award Visits my blog today. Paul De Blassie 111, author of The Unholy.

Publisher: Sunstone Press (October, 2013)
Category: New Age Fiction/Metaphysical Thriller, Paranormal Thriller

Winner of the 2014 International Book Award and the Pinnacle Achievement Award!
A young curandera, a medicine woman, intent on uncovering the secrets of her past is forced into a life-and-death battle against an evil Archbishop. Set in the mystic land of Aztlan, "The Unholy" is a novel of destiny as healer and slayer. Native lore of dreams and visions, shape changing, and natural magic work to spin a neo-gothic web in which sadness and mystery lure the unsuspecting into a twilight realm of discovery and decision.
Praise for 'The Unholy' by Paul DeBlassie III:

"The theme of the novel is pretty basic, good vs. evil. But the author takes that theme, twists it around, comes up with intriguing characters who often walk the balance between right and wrong, and takes things to a whole new level. There’s action, suspense, a hint of romance, and definitely enough darkness to share around in this book. The writing style is very descriptive, almost poetic. Intruiging."- Majanka, I Heart Reading
"A new take on the classic good versus evil, The Unholy is well written and will leave you wanting more. I was intrigued by the native lore that was used to develop the story, and also on how strong of a hold the Archbishop has on the people of the town – his fear and power is overwhelming. I really enjoyed the story and how the characters prepared for what was to come."-Tracee, Review From Here
"This is really a very good read but I have to warn you it’s really dark. It reminded me of watching a movie where it is overcast, gloomy, a bit foggy and there are crows and ravens around. Well this had all that plus a psychiatric hospital, ancient and mystical powers, a cult, and unknown forces at work. There is a sinister feeling that hangs over you as you read through this captivating story. It is really well written and so vivid, I had such a clear sense of where this all took place. The characters were very well done. The evil person is really dark and warped and creepy. As I said this is quite a dark story but it is well told and a really good read. The very first chapter draws you into this story and will keep you reading to see whether good or evil wins. I definitely recommend it."-Maggie Thom,

Excerpt from Chemical Attraction:
“Depending on how long this has been going on, we’re talking about millions if not billions of dollars.” Joe stood and paced at the foot of his bed in the Blue Room at the B & B. “Well, the proof would be with materials management, right?”
Leaning against his headboard, Madeline nodded. “They would have the master supply list and shipping manifests. Getting those would be a start. The supply list would show the bulk chemicals ordered and the manifest would show the delivery of those actual items.”
“What’s their security like?” he asked, impressed by her knowledge and instincts.
She reached for her iced tea with her left hand and used her right to wipe the condensed wetness off the tabletop. She took a mouthful, swallowed, and sighed. “They have cameras all over the place. The front desk has four screens that they flip through to any area, but security has a room with monitors for every camera.”
He continued to walk the six steps from one side of the room to the other. “They have cameras in materials management?”
“That department has three. If it weren’t for the cameras, I’d walk down there and make copies of the lists. They hang on a clipboard out in the open. There’s even a copier in an alcove next to it,” she said, crunching her ice.
“Where are the cameras placed?” he asked, clenching his jaw at her distractions.
She grinned. “One picks up the clipboard and the hallway. There’s one at the gated door, overlooking the supply room, and the other is directly across from the copier. I have no idea how to get to it by myself.”
He looked at everything in the room, but Madeline stretched out on his bed. He struggled against temptation. “A lot of people work in that area?”
“Four guys are in and out of the department throughout the day except for lunch. Between noon and one, they eat in the cafeteria and leer at women.”
He moved the blue lace curtain to the side and looked at the empty street. In the window’s reflection, he watched Madeline position herself across the bed onto her abdomen. She bent her knees, putting her feet in the air. He turned back around as she propped her head on her hands. He kicked his shoe across the room and watched it thump into the door. Frustrated, he plopped into the chair, folded his arms, and stared at her.
“Why are you doing that?” he finally asked.
She smiled. “Are you mad at me? Your body language says you are.”
“You want fun, huh?” She squealed as he leapt across the bed toward her. When she tried to roll away, he pinned her beneath him. As he hovered over her, he gently moved a strand of her hair away from her face. “I told you. You are too damn tempting.”
Lowering his head, he kissed her. The bolt of lightning shot through him again and, God, he liked it. She squeezed his biceps, making him instantly hard. Her kisses seared his lips. He was definitely playing with fire. As he slowly lowered his body, they heard pounding on the ceiling.
“I better go,” Madeline whispered as she tried to catch her breath.
Suddenly aware of his position, he scrambled to get up. “God, I’m sorry. I’ll walk you home.”
Damn, how could he be so irresponsible? He had worked with many women over the years and had always kept it strictly professional. Now, he was compromising not only his mission and career but her life as well.

Cass Adams is crazy, and everyone in Deacon, Kansas, knows it. But when her good-for-nothing husband, Roland, goes missing, no one suspects that Cass buried him in their unfinished koi pond. Too bad he doesn't stay there for long. Cass gets arrested on the banks of the Spring River for dumping his corpse after heavy rain partially unearths it.
The police chief wants a quick verdict—he’s running for sheriff and has no time for crazy talk. But like Roland’s corpse, secrets start to surface, and they bring more to light than anybody expected. Everyone in Cass’s life thinks they know her—her psychic grandmother, her promiscuous ex-best friend, her worm-farming brother-in-law, and maybe even her local ghost. Steele, Into Your Heart Dream Cast
*rubs hands together* This is gonna be fun! I rely heavily on visual (and other) inspiration when coming up with the physical traits of my characters, so I’m always on the lookout for actors, actresses, singers, models etc. to help me build solid descriptions.
Let’s start with the Retribution MC Wildman himself—hot, sexy, dirty-talkin’ Brodie Steele. I’m going to have to go with Jax Teller, I mean, Charlie Hunnam for him. Although I swear I didn’t model Brodie after the SoA actor, I think he’d be a perfect fit for the role.

For Officer Ashe Kingston . . . let’s cast Blake Lively. She has that fresh look but can also be edgy, and Brodie’s woman Ashe is pretty hardcore when she gets down to it.

Boomer Steele: built like a brick shithouse. I have one word to say about him. Yum. He’s Brodie’s older brother and his book is coming up next in the Carolina Bad Boys series—Chrome! So for him, I’m going all JMo style, so long as Jason wears a pair of ice blue contacts for the role. He’s got the whole package for Boomer as far as I’m concerned.

Catarina Steele—the “little” sister—well, she’s going to have to be played by feisty, hottie Megan Fox. There’s no way Nicky Love ever stood a chance against her, is there? Their book is the second in the series, Love, In The Fast Lane.

Nicky Love is the male romance writer and biker dude. He’s a downhome man with a heart of gold. He knows how to fire it up between the sheets and in the pages of his paranormal romance novels. So I give you smokin’ hot male model, Marlon Teixeira. Dayumn.

That brings us to the sexiest mechanic alive, Josh Stone. With his hazel eyes and amazing body, I’ve gotta give it to fitness model Andrew Corvin (if you want to go drool a little, Google him). No idea if he can act, but . . . um . . . I might be able to overlook that.

Last, but certainly not least, is Josh’s ladylove from Stone, At Your Service, Carolina Bad Boys #1! Leelee’s a luscious redhead babe, and New Adult romance writer. She captured Josh’s attention the second he saw her and, soon after, his heart. *Le sigh* I think Scarlett Johansson would be delicious as Leelee—especially when she has the red hair. She’s all va-va-voomwith the perfect amount of sass.

I’d totally go see the movies ;). Would you?

EXCERPT:
We found a nice side-by-side spot for our bikes, and I slid off mine. Before Ashe got off her bitchin’ black Triumph, I grasped her face between my palms. Leaning down, I sealed my mouth to hers. Warm, soft, and pliable, her lips opened at my lick. A deep tangle of tongues trailed from her mouth into mine, and we made out in the parking lot for good long while. I unclasped her helmet as I took another slow taste of her mouth. Sleek and soft, wet and hot, Ashe met me with strong lunges of her own. Her head slanted beneath my fingertips. The new angle and hot dart of her tongue made me delirious. She gripped my arms, spread her thighs, and hooked her boots behind my legs. When my hard cock hit the juncture of her leathers, she broke off, moaning, “Oh, God, Brodie.”Make her moan my name before her boots hit the pavement? Consider it done.I straightened up and held my hand out to her. “Can’t wait to hear you say that when you’re naked.”“Did I say evil?” She placed her palm in mine. “I meant evil incarnate. You’re a teasing bastard, aren’t you?”“Little bit.”“Looks like a lot more than a little bit.” She stared at the straining bulge inside my pants. The seams were about to burst open, even more so with her appreciative glance. “Got that right.” I felt smug as shit as I wrapped an arm around her waist, guiding her to the hotel.I was less than thrilled with the jackass in the monkey suit at the reception desk. If the dude in the ugly maroon jacket with the “Hi, My Name is Ed” nametag didn’t stop staring at Ashe’s tits, he was gonna make real good friends with my fists. Then we could call him “Dead Ed”. Lucky for him, he handed over the room key at the same time Ashe drove her hand into my back pocket to grab my ass. Better. The pimply teenager valet-dude offered to take my two bags up on the wheely cart—probably looking for another fifty tip. “I got this one, braw. But good effort. I like it.”He grinned at me.While we waited for the elevator, Ashe narrowed her eyes at me. “So you’re really a big softie.”I leaned against the wall, crossed my arms, and stared at her through lowered eyelashes. A smile curled my lips. “Not sure who you’re callin’ soft.”Her gaze darted to the obvious hard formation of my cock.“My bad.” She tucked her pretty pink lip between her lips. The elevator dinged, the door opened, and I grabbed her hand to pull her inside. “About to be very bad.”As soon as the doors closed us inside the empty car, I hit the stop button. Ashe’s eyes flared silver and wide when I cornered her. I dragged my hands through the blonde hair she’d streaked in flirtatious pink, gripping it at the base of her neck. With one yank, I bared her throat. Her breasts swelled against my chest, and I bent to suckle the long column of her neck.“Your goatee tickles.” She shivered.“Good or bad?”She rubbed my short whiskers with her hand. “Good.”I sucked her skin hard, making sure to leave a mark on her neck. “Just good?”“Really good!” Her voice rose. “Ahhh, really, really good.”“Just wait until you feel it against your cunt,” I whispered in her ear. Ashe rolled her hips forward to hit mine. She dug her fingers into my ass. I cupped my hand against her mound. Her heat invaded my skin but too much fucking fabric was in my way to do her right. “Fuck. Why aren’t you wearing a skirt?” “Don’t do skirts.”I ripped open the buttons on her pants and slid my fingers inside. A soft little trail of curls led to her plump wet lips. Nice. “A skirt would be easier.” Slipping two fingers into her tight heat, I grinded the heel of my palm against her clit.

1 Day Blitz: Fifty Shades of Jungle Fever by L.V.Lewis. A parody with a new take on a Fifty Shades type story that will take you even further into the BDSM world.

Keisha Beale, a street-wise Chicago south-sider two years out of DePaul University, is a quarter million dollars in start-up capital away from realizing her dream of owning a recording studio/record store. She takes the place of her more business-savvy partner in a meeting with Tristan White himself, the venture capitalist they've targeted to fund their business.A bi-racial--African American and Brazilian--woman with a troubled past, Keisha has been so focused on her business pursuits that her love life has been non-existent. Tristan White is the devastatingly handsome, 32-year old CEO of White Enterprises, the firm he built using only the inheritance his mother left him to prove to his father he had the mettle to do it alone. He comes from a long line of wealth, and lives the life of a "one-percenter" on Chicago's Gold Coast.Tristan is accustomed to controlling every aspect of his life given his birth into a world of white privilege.50 Shades to the 2nd Power...
When Keisha and Tristan's worlds collide, sparks fly, and a fever is ignited in them both that they have never experienced before. It turns out they each have secrets, but together, in the unorthodox arrangement Tristan proposes, they discover passions they never knew they had.... Meets Keisha From The Block!
The Ghetto Girl title is, in all truthfulness, a misnomer. Keisha Beale is a highly-educated young woman who just happens to have been born on the other side of the socio-economic tracks. She embraces all of who she is, and navigates almost effortlessly in both worlds.Erotic, amusing, and in places hilarious, the Ghetto Girl Romance Quadrilogy is a parody with a new take on a Fifty Shades type story that will take you even further into the BDSM world, and promises to make the vanilla original Fifty Shades more colorful.

“Speaking of our association, how long are we talking here?”
Tristan leans against the building, folds his arms casually, and props one jean-clad leg behind him. “You anxious to get rid of me, Ms. Beale?” He deflects with questions better than anyone.
I fold my arms, not allowing him to stare me down. “I asked my question first.”
“If I were to answer based on past associations: a year. Two max.”
So, my shelf life was the equivalent of a fiscal year or two if I looked at it from a business perspective. Could I even survive that long?
“And just how do your, er, associations usually end?”
“I or my submissive will allow it to come to a conclusion organically.”
“Meaning, you or she will indicate it’s not working and exercise your right to dump or be dumped?”
“Yes, but it’s usually very amicable.”
Struggling to look impassive, I chew on by bottom lip despite myself. “You’d better be glad you didn’t meet the twenty-one-year-old version of me.”
“Why is that?”
“That Keisha didn’t take forced endings too well. She was fond of super gluing sensitive body parts of ex-boyfriends.” I have no idea why I admit this to him. I suppose it isn’t as much to let him know I’m nobody’s fool but to get a rise out of him.
Tristan doesn’t react. We are both wearing dueling poker faces. “As I’ve said before, you’re not a woman who should ever have to play host to the green-eyed monster. Never let anyone usurp your confidence. Not even me.”
It doesn’t surprise me that Tristan is wholly self-contained and keeps his emotions close to the vest. If I hang around him long enough, I could learn some things. “Thanks for the . . . advice.”

One Day at a wedding Series is on tour. Meet author Kelly Rae and learn more about this talented writer.

Once Upon a Wedding Story SynopsisCassie Anderson, bridesmaid extraordinaire, is tired of attending her friend’s weddings either solo, or with her best friend, Thad. Finding a real date is simply too much work. Especially when she sees an old acquaintance from high school, Dan, at her friend Shelley’s wedding. After the spark shared between them, Dan has become the object of her affection. Too bad he has a nasty habit of having a date on his arm at every turn. Stealing another woman's date is against the rules, but if she could just catch him alone…well, that would be fair game! Unfortunately, timing is everything, and she and Dan seem to have the worst. Always the bridesmaid, walking away with nothing more than a dreadful dress, Cassie is committed to changing her luck and getting her man.

Every Other Wedding
SynopsisCassie Anderson has been the girl of Dan’s dreams since high school. Unfortunately, her return to his life comes at the worst time possible. As he tries to put his life back together, he keeps an eye on her, hoping to find her single at the right time. A time when it all hurts a bit less. A time when he can offer her all of the love she deserves. After three weddings of happenstance meetings, Dan finds himself to be a little more ready for everything that is Cassie. Putting himself out there, he can only hope she is everything he thinks she might be — his forever girl. Anything but a Wedding Thad never expected to find anyone who meant more to him than his best friend, Cassie. She was the one woman he loved enough not to sleep with. He was a player, but an honest one. Unfortunately, not everyone felt that balanced out his love 'em and leave 'em ways. He just didn't see a need to settle down — yet. Then, he met Brianna, who made him think about the future — a future with her — which was a new experience for Thad. Brianna is also a new kind of woman and convincing her that they have a future might just be the challenge of his life. Not One More Wedding Brianna works through men like she works through her closet — seasonally. Any other way has always been trouble. When she meets Thad, she is thrilled. Not only does he intrigue and excite her, but he is just like her — noncommittal. He sets her on fire with his smooth talk and honest approach to dating. Even without being physical beyond a kiss, the thought of him makes her entire body hum. Except, Thad has gone and gotten attached to her in a way neither of them expected; attached in a way she simply cannot allow. Unfortunately, he won't allow their relationship to become physical until she surrenders her heart to him, which is a battle she isn’t sure she can win. The longer it lasts, the less sure she becomes of wanting it to.

Bonus Story! When Cassie Met ThadWere you curious about how Cassie and Thad met? Read all about their story in this bonus story exclusive to this version.

Excerpt from Once Upon a Wedding Book One:“Cassie. Cassie, did you see who’s here?” Shelley tugged at her skirt, trying to get her attention directed toward the back of the church.“What’s the matter with you?” she asked Shelley and then turned to face the back of the church. “Ohh, now I see what you mean.”“And yet, you ignored me,” Thad said from the other side. She just blew him off with a wave. He would get over it in two seconds or less anyway. There he stood, looking as dapper as a GQ cover. His suit was a very nice shade of blue, with a white shirt and what appeared to be a pinstripe tie. By the time Shelley had gotten her attention, he had already selected a pew and scooted by people for a seat. The most important thing Cassie noticed was his lack of a date.Who doesn’t take their fiancée to a wedding? This could be a good sign. Of course, she would have to do some more investigating before she determined whether he had a single status at this point, or remained affianced. It then dawned on her that she, herself, had brought a date to the wedding. She took her eyes off Dan long enough to glance over at Thad, currently very busy staring at the legs of the woman next to him.Boy, can I pick ‘em. Even my pretend boyfriends are losers.“Thad, do you think you could be a little more discrete about your appreciation for our neighbor there?” she asked through gritted teeth, trying to keep her disdain to a low roar.“Oh, shit, I’m sorry Cassie. But did you see her calves? I swear, it’s just a professional thing,” he said this with the gigolo grin, his specialty, one that hardly ever worked on Cassie. Hardly ever.“If this is where you tell me how you’re a critic and you were just admiring her legs in a professional manner, don’t bother,” Cassie uttered in her most stern, yet quiet, voice. “You critique the arts, Thad, her legs are not performing.”“I could argue that point, but seeing how your face is scrunching up at me, I won’t. You’re right, I’m sorry. It won’t happen again.”Thad did his best to appear remorseful and even went so far as to kiss her forehead and squeeze her hand. She did not squeeze back.To Cassie’s way of thinking, the fact that he had been holding her hand the whole time, including while checking out the lady’s legs next to them, made it a little worse. What could she say, though, considering she had been waiting and hoping for the appearance of another man?She turned her head and caught Dan glancing in her direction. His mouth immediately curved up into a smile and he waved in Cassie’s direction. Cassie returned the smile and raised her left hand to reciprocate the wave, realizing she’d brought Thad’s hand along with her. Making it obvious that she had brought a date to the wedding, she immediately dropped Thad’s hand. Too late. She knew Dan had seen already.Damn it!

Kelly Rae is mom to an amazing young man. Everything else is just a way to keep busy between laughs with her son, or a way to pay for his sports equipment and growing feet. When she was twelve years old, she hit the big leagues by winning a Young Authors Award (okay, okay, it was only within her school district. Shh.) Although she has been unable to duplicate this success in her adult writing, she is giving it her best shot. Kelly, her son, and their chocolate lab, live in the Pacific Northwest where they enjoy the sun when it shines and the snow when it falls. When they aren't dancing in the rain or singing at the top of their lungs in the car, they are planning their dream vacations...which they might even get to take some day.
