Revealing Beloved Enemy by Hywela Lyn. Cat Kincaid is obsessed with killing the man she believes is responsible for the torture and death of her sister, but when she eventually catches up with him, survival becomes a greater priority than revenge. #Sci-Fi

Before she could fire, Kerry let off another barrage of plasma bolts into the river, then leapt toward her and ripped the severed tentacle from her leg. It flapped around on the wet grass. She scrambled to her knees, still slightly winded and fired at the hideous thing. The foliage around it flared for a moment with an eerie green flame and the tentacle shrivelled into a slimy black mass, emitting a pungent odour and causing her to gag for a moment.
“It seems I was mistaken about the creature being dead.” Kerry prodded the smouldering mass with his boot and looked across over the water. “It is now.” He leaned down and grasped her wrist to haul her to her feet. “Are you hurt?”
“No, I don’t think so.” Her shoulder was sore and probably bruised but she’d live. She tried to control her shivering. The incident affected her more than she wanted to admit. Kerry’s proximity, naked to the waist, his lithe body shining from the water droplets that still clung to his skin, his legs swathed in tight black leather, did nothing to help. The last thing she wanted was for him to realise how scared she’d been when she thought a snake attacked her. “Thanks. That was close. It would have been a bit ironic if I’d been killed by the same creature I saved you from.”
She realized he still grasped her wrist. She tried to move away, but he pulled her back, obliging her to turn to him.
“You are trembling.”
“I’m fine.”
“No,” he said. “You’re not.” He pulled her closer and his eyes softened, his gaze holding her mesmerized. She opened her mouth to try to speak, but in the same instant he put his hand under her chin and his lips closed over hers.AUTHOR BIO

Revealing the cover of "For both are infinite" by Stephanie Alba. Living in London was always part of the plan. Ellie just didn't expect to do it alone. Running away and starting anew was the only solution.

Living in London was always part of the plan. Ellie just didn't expect to do it alone. Running away and starting anew was the only solution. She set some rules for herself: no connections, no love, no friends.Work would be her only solace. But when she's assigned to train Rhys Edwards, Britain's Heartthrob, for his run as Hamlet on West End, all her plans fade away. Ellie soon realizes that just because you're breathing, it doesn't mean you're alive, and she learns it's the connections in life that make it worth living.

“We’re heading in your direction. We are just parking and we'll be there in a few,” John said.“Okay, see you in a few minutes.”Immense pressure welled in my chest so tightly it felt as if my ribs were cracking. Self-consciously, I stood in front of the mirror to tuck stray hairs into place and straighten my skirt. I was the first in the meeting room and the waiting made me all the more anxious. I was quite nervous, not about meeting a gorgeous celebrity, but because this was my first opportunity to really prove myself.I knew John trusted me, but it would be nice to confirm that he had made the right choice, despite my foreigner status. I also wanted to do right by Shakespeare’s work. Having studied this for over six years, I felt uniquely protective of him and his life’s effort, as if it was my responsibility to care for his legacy since he couldn’t do it himself.I had been sitting in a chair before I realized that it was impractical to sit when they walked in, so I clumsily stood up and walked to appropriately greet them by the door. Mentally, I reminded myself to relax just as John, Michael Murphy, the director, and Rhys Edwards walked by the glass wall of the room and approached the door. I raised my hand casually, smiling at them as I waved and I noticed hesmiled back. I regretted waving, finding it awkward, not quite understanding why I did it, and his smile didn’t help the situation. It made me feel noticed and stripped when he gazed at me. I was hoping the butterflies in my stomach were work related because I hadn’t felt that in a long while and it made me uncomfortable to feel such ancient emotions. No one had affected me like that in over two years and I wanted to keep it that way. Barely managing to catch my breath, I greeted John and waited for the director to introduce himself.Michael Murphy wasn’t tall or short, but of average height and heavy set. The weight was primarily at his center, bulging out of his high-waist pants, with his suspenders barely held them up. He seemed artsy, wearing a golfer hat and a full red beard that covered the majority of his face. But it was his voice that stood out the most, loud and projecting through my ears as he intrusively stood too close.“Hello, I’m Michael. I’ll be directing the production,” he said, shaking my hand. He then gestured to the younger of the three men, and said, “And this is the star of our show, who needs no introduction, Mr. Rhys Edwards.”Mr. Edwards shared a warm smile with a hint of modesty over his introduction. Making eye contact, I extended my hand towards him and said, “It’s a pleasure to meet you, sir. I’m Ellie Reed, and I’m looking forward to working with you.”He took me by surprise when he didn’t shake my hand, but instead enveloped it in between the two of his. This was no ordinary handshake, it was affection reserved for people who shared a connection or had known each other for years. He stared at me with an intense, but comfortable familiarity and said, “As am I. I’m glad to meet you and grateful to you already.”I froze. I hadn’t expected him to be this way or to immediately like him. The longer I stared into his eyes, the more I could see not just their beauty, but their kindness exuding from the crystal blue irises that stared back at me. Instantly, I felt at ease as they gave off the sincerest honesty I’d ever felt from another person. But there was also a discomfort in my heart that came with that momentary peace.“I’m really excited to work together,” he said, still holding my hand in his, bringing me out of my hypnotic trance. I became hypocritically aware that Mr. Murphy’s proximity had bothered me, yet Rhys’ left me calm and thrilled. I wasn’t sure I was okay with that, or if I really understood it. If anything it left me curious for more.Blinking out of it, I responded. “Yes, me too,” and despite my earlier apprehensions, I meant it.

God, she loved his enthusiasm. Becca laughed and whispered back, "No it doesn't."
Hunter was about to protest when she kissed his cheek. "It screams 'Rebecca Beckman'."
Hunter's eyes lit up. "Now that's the way to think." His lips grazed her check gently, like a butterfly's wings.
"This place is beautiful. Intimidating, though." She gestured at the walls with various paintings and photographs.
"Well hello! This is a surprise!" Brock ambled out of a room from the back, eagerly approaching them. "What brings you by?"
"My fiancé's spontaneous streak strikes again. We had a little time before friends come in for Thanksgiving, so he surprised me with a trip over here. Your gallery is amazing," Becca gushed.
"Thank you. It's one of my pride and joys. And," he pointed at the blank wall, "I agree with you. The wall is begging for your work. Since this is spur of the moment, you wouldn't happen to have anything with you then?"
"No," Becca replied, still taking this all in.
"Didn't think so, and that's okay. I've seen plenty of your stuff. What I'm thinking is an art show. I'll help you through this every step of the way." Brock gestured toward a black leather couch on the far end of the room. "Why don't we sit and chat about this for a bit?"
Nodding, she and Hunter followed him, Becca still in awe of this whole thing. Brock folded his hands and leaned forward, setting his intense gaze on her when they were all comfortable.
"I want to get an art show in for you as soon as possible. But that's going to depend on so many things. There's the holidays, and then there's personal things on both ends, as I know you two have stuff going on. Obviously I do as well, which is how we met. So for the meantime, I'd like to at least showcase two or three pieces to start off with. Is everything one of a kind?"
Becca nodded. "It is." Could she ever recreate a piece the same way as the original? She'd never tried it. She was a mood painter, obviously.
Brock's gaze moved to Hunter. "How attached are you to some of the pieces you've displayed in the Lange Center?"
Hunter laughed. "Hard to say. Anything from Becca, I'm attached to. If you're asking what I think you are, I'll part with the ones from the center, because the paintings I have the most sentimental attachment to are at home and will stay there. She's been filling my walls with paintings for years." He leaned over to kiss her cheek, smiling affectionately.
Her heart skipped a few beats. This was happening. Brock meant business! He wanted her work. She knew she had nothing to worry about. Brock wasn't going to be like the teacher from her past. This could happen!

"Yes, I was thinking of a few from the center to display and sell here. Give me a second and I'll pull out some papers- including a projected contract, that you two can look over." Brock shot to his feet and moved away to another room.
"Is this really happening?" Becca whispered, completely in awe.
"My favorite artist is about to become famous? Yep. You know I'm going to play the I told you so game for a while." Hunter smirked playfully, then hugged her. His eyes sparkled with love. "Seriously though, I'm so excited! An art show! Good things are coming, Bec. We just have to get through some of the hard stuff, too." Hunter jiggled a dance in his seat. "I'm marrying someone famous. I'm marrying someone famous," he chanted in a sing-song voice.
Laughter escaped Becca's lips when Hunter continued to dance and sing as Brock came back into the room. The sound of his laughter stopped Hunter short. Becca couldn't quit giggling! Hunter didn't embarrass easily, but for some reason he was today.
"Love the enthusiasm." Brock winked as he slid some papers across the table. "When's the wedding? I'll do my best to make her famous before you get married."
Becca snorted when Hunter's face turned red. "That's what you get for pulling the 'I told you so' on me." She nudged him, then turned to Brock. "We're getting married in March."
"Oh good! We have some time then." His smile was genuine.
Becca picked up the papers and studied them. When her gaze landed on a number with way too many zeros behind them, she gasped. "I think there might be a mistake there," she pointed.
"Oh no. Well, the numbers will vary depending on the piece, but that's what I'm thinking for the few I've seen. Is it too low?"
"Low?" Becca sputtered. He had to be kidding, but he sure looked serious. "No! It's high! I can't imagine someone spending that kind of money on a painting!" Let alone hers!
"Let me see," Hunter gently eased the papers from her hands. "Holy-" So the numbers even surprised him. She wasn't the only one then. Good.

I thank God every day that my brother, Max, was staying at a friend’s house that night. After what seemed like forever, I left the house and went to my best friend’s not knowing what to do. I was only sixteen when they were killed but I still knew that the men responsible weren’t good people. Don’t get me wrong, I have my uncle and aunt who took my brother and me in when we lost our parents, but the more I’m here, the more I realize that maybe my family, including my parents, aren’t what they seem. And maybe the family business isn’t all that legal. My name is Gabriella Ashford and this is my story.

Giveaway, Guest Post and Book blitz: On the Edge by T.S.Kupra. An opportunity of a lifetime turns their lives upside down. But is it too good to be true?

"For me, every book is different whether it’s actually the writing process or how the idea forms and translates into a story. The idea for On the Edge came to me about five years ago in 2010, while I was watching the Winter Olympics. My favorite event is the Men’s and Women’s Half Pipe competition. I have so much appreciation for the risks they take as athletes and the overall excitement I feel as a spectator.
As with most sports, the Men’s events are always highlighted a little more than the Women’s. This made me wonder what it would be like for a young woman coming up in the sport—how one goes from recreational snowboarding, to breaking into professional snowboarding. I also thought about all the sacrifices these athletes and their families have to make in order to try and accomplish that goal—with no guarantees. In 2010, this was a thought that I jotted down in my journal and moved on from.
Fast forward to 2014… I was aimlessly surfing YouTube and I started watching recent Olympic highlights, when the idea resurfaced. BUT this time I already had one published novel under my belt and I was confident I could do it again.
Three things had to come together for On the Edge to become a story. First, unlike Safe & Sound, this novel would take some research because I didn’t know much about snowboarding. I snowboarded recreationally, but I’m not very good. I did the majority of my research online—I read many tutorials, learned about snowboarding schools, studied competition schedules, and watched a lot of snowboarding videos. That only took me so far—so next I reached out to several professional snowboarders in order to properly fact check what I had learned and what I was thinking of using for my characters. I was very fortunate to connect with Hana Beaman. We emailed and eventually talked on the phone. She was able to answer the more technical questions—any mistakes in the book are my own! This process really shaped Hayden Grace Parker—her goals, her ambitions, and her journey. Once I felt satisfied with the research, I began writing. I knew I didn’t want the story to be too technically focused on snowboarding, because it wouldn’t be relatable to everyone. I simply wanted readers to know just enough to understand the sport, which would allow them to be transported into that world with Hayden Grace.
Secondly, I wished to explore the perspective of the single parent with a gifted/talented child. I watched many friends and family members raise their own families. Eventually, there comes a time when they fall into a routine: school, work, home, and repeat. I gathered inspiration from them and started to shape Andy Parker. I wanted Andy to be a strong woman, but not perfect—for the reader to experience and truly understand her challenges and strengths. It was also important for Andy’s late husband, Stephan Parker, to be a serviceman for two reasons. My own father served in the Army and then the National Guard, until he retired. His service defined who I was as a person, who my family was, and our values. It fit with the story I wanted to tell. But even more importantly, I wanted to highlight the sacrifices these men and women make daily for our country, which are ENORMOUS—I wanted to celebrate that.
Finally, let’s talk about Paul Westcott. His character is part professional snowboarder, part celebrity, and entirely fictional. Paul comes into the story without much baggage, which allows him to serve as a good balance for Andy. He was so much fun to write because he was carefree, relaxed and “chill.” Until he met Andy, he had conquered everything in life. He never anticipated his greatest challenge would be love.
On the Edge is the story of single mother Andy Parker, who is caught up in the day-to-day hustle and bustle of life—who has forgotten about love, romance and adventure. Hayden Grace Parker is a determined, often feisty teenager on a mission. Paul Westcott is the change that challenges and ignites them. It’s an adventure in life and romance."
Happy Reading!

EXCERPT:
I place the package in the microwave and press the button. “I’m a little surprised you’re missing your signature apparel this evening,” Rob comments, and when I swivel around, he’s leaned back in his chair, his fingers strumming along the table. This incredible sexual response comes over me, that he was admiring me going about doing a mundane task. The pleasure brings so much warmth through my veins, I wish he was mine and I could saunter over and straddle his lap. I ache to grind against the hardness I created, as his hands would find my ass.
Instead, I swallow the urge. “Oh, well, laundry day.”
He nods, his eyes moving up my legs. “I’m not sure which one I prefer.”
I laugh. “Really? Pajama pants with absurd expressions are your things?”
“Not usually, but on you they are.” My breathing stops before sputtering back up. Our eyes meet and an unbearable inner excitement flows through me. The more I swim in the blues of his eyes, the more he spins me in his web of magnetism. Just as I’m about to ignore my mind’s resistance, I jolt from the beep of the microwave and quickly spin on my heels. Grabbing the bag, I toss it back and forth in my hands because it’s so hot.
Rob laughs behind me and then the chair legs scrape along the floor and his footsteps thump behind me. “Let me help you.” He relieves the burn in my hands, opening the two corners. Steam rushes out of the bag and I grab a bowl to pour it into. We accomplish the menial job together as a team. He’s about to retreat back to the table, when he stops, leaning forward. “I like that I give you that reaction.” He whispers and I lick my lips out of reflex.
“Keep doing that and I won’t stand a chance in keeping my distance from you.”
“What if I don’t want you to?” The words slip out of my mouth before I can filter them.
“Hmm . . .” He places the bowl on the counter and then nears closer, gripping the counter on either side. “Believe me, Paige, you do.” My heart stammers and the edge of the counter digs into my palm.
Then he backs away and goes back to the table, leaving me mute stricken and frozen in place

One Day Blitz: Palace secrets by Ravyn Rayne. Murder, secrets, and lies combine with menage, spanking, and erotic encounters in this steamy medieval romance. #Giveaway #Romance #Historical #Erotica

"Ella?" He knocks on the door across the hall, my chambers.
Both of us grow silent, not wanting Alexander to find us. I squeeze Hannah's hand tight, afraid to let go. I know I'm a princess and possibly now a queen, but that doesn't change the love I feel for Hannah and the trust I implore her with.
His knock grows louder, more insistent. "Ella, are you in there?" He tries again. Getting no response, I hear the door across the hall squeak open. Obviously I hadn't locked it because I wasn't in the room. His boots stomp through the corridor and away from our chambers.
I keep my voice low, not wanting to alert anyone stepping into the hall that Hannah's room is occupied. "Now what?" I ask her. I'm terrified of the man I married. He's a man with too much power. I was warned of such princes's existing in their quest for the crown. Had I been wrong judging Alexander when we first met? He'd intentionally swept me off my feet and charmed my parents letting him take me away in a whirlwind. I should have delayed the wedding, gotten to know him better. Did he have any siblings? Were they too murdered so he could ascend the throne? My stomach aches and I feel as though I may never be able to eat again. How will I face Alexander with what I know? I've never been very good at pretending. How will I lie beside him at night and act like I'm falling in love with him? Last night it came easy, but now that I know what he's capable of, I fear for my life.

At first blush by Jeanie Grey. SERRAN WINTERS is determined to let the fantasy of Nick Enfield go. #Fantasy #Romance

“There was no such thing as a soulmate. As for the intense connection…well, it must have been her imagination. There was no man who would instinctively understand her, no man who could read her mind. No man who could turn her on with just a look or a word, no man whose touch would override her reason and turn her into the embodiment of passion. And the sooner she let go of that fantasy completely, the sooner she could approach romantic relationships with a clear head and appreciate what she had instead of pining over everything she imagined she was missing.” SERRAN WINTERS is determined to let the fantasy of Nick Enfield go. So why does she find herself asking him to dinner while on tour with her latest romance novel? Perhaps it's because she feels safe in disguise as her pseudonym, Jane Garfield. Besides, it's only a couple of hours...until a hurricane leaves her stranded at his house for three days.Despite NICK ENFIELD’s deep hurt and growing bitterness since his divorce, something about the romance author entrances him from the first moment he sees her. But when he discovers she’s married, he’s determined to resist the intense attraction between them in spite of her mixed signals. If only his body’s reaction to her weren’t making it so hard to keep her marital status in mind. At First Blush is a story about fantasy versus reality in love and romance, the nature of attraction and connection, and the reasons we choose to fight or follow our impulses.

Nick stepped into the bookstore, slightly dazed, and blinked under the lights. The clouds had come in heavy already, dimming the sky to a twilight despite the fact that it was only four-thirty in the afternoon on an August Monday, and the bookstore was comparatively bright. It was also, he noticed, unusually busy. A line of maybe forty people snaked around and between shelves, ending at a sturdy oak table covered in stacks of paperback books. A sign was propped upright on the table, and he could just make out the words, Author signing TODAY! Odd then that there was no one behind the table. Maybe the author was late. He glanced next at the register and saw a second line almost as long as the first. Forget it. Between the crush of bodies and the long line for the register, it would take him ages to find a book and get out of here. He didn’t even really want to read tonight anyway. He’d much rather have a few beers and put on an action flick that would drown out the sounds of the storm. He was about to turn around and walk back out the door when something—a shift in the air current or movement in the corner of his eye—caused him to look toward the back corner of the bookstore just in time to see the bathroom door open and a woman come out. As soon as he saw her, his heart kicked, his chest constricted, his breath hitched, and his pants got a little tighter in the crotch. Time slowed. She had full, rosy lips, a round face, and a severe black bob that must’ve been dyed because her eyebrows were several shades lighter. The color of her hair threw into further contrast the paleness of her skin; here was a woman who probably couldn’t tan if she tried. She was full-figured, with wide hips, a round ass, and long legs. She wore a cream-colored skirt down to her knees, red heels, and a white button-up shirt with a high collar that opened in a narrow but deep V and showed a hint of ample cleavage. There was something unconsciously sensual in her movements as she strode across the store, shoulders back and chin level, making eye contact with everyone in her path and smiling as if she owned the place. He didn’t think he’d ever met a woman like her, and yet there was something vaguely familiar about her. Unconsciously, Nick moved forward three steps. When she passed right in front of him, she was looking in the other direction. Nonetheless, he could make out the color of her almond-shaped eyes: a cornflower blue that reminded him of a summer sky in a painting of the Dutch countryside. And then she was past him, leaving in her wake a faint aroma of vanilla and spice. He inhaled deeply, the tightness in his chest telling him he must’ve been holding his breath. His eyes followed her, and he was entranced by her sashaying hips as she threaded her way through the crowd. When she reached the book signing table, she sat down behind it.

"His Princess was a little bit eclectic, a lot of eccentric, and a big time potty mouth. Her ‘Prick-a-Doodle-Do’ was uptight businessman through and through." If it's a pain in the ass, You're doing it wrong by JC Clarke. #Humor #Romance

Genre: Humor/ Contemporary RomanceWarnings: Adult content (not Erotic)
His Princess was a little bit eclectic, a lot of eccentric, and a big time potty mouth. She was outgoing and loud, but held her friends and family close to her heart. She ranted about everything wrong in the world and her wild passion made him fall hard and fast. His life gave him the middle finger when she opened his eyes to the beauty around him - or right in front of him.
Her ‘Prick-a-Doodle-Do’ was uptight businessman through and through. He never saw the fun in anything and she knew right from the start that she could have fun with this man and get him to open his eyes. He made her see that she didn’t have to always be alone, even when surrounded by people. His knack of bringing out the best in her was what made her fall for him, even if she didn’t want to admit it to herself.
Both of them were raised in ‘high society’, but where one was guided by the rules, one had fun going against them. He was her new boss and she didn’t give two hoots about it, so when she was given an opportunity to express her views about a certain subject, she readily agreed.
It was now her personal mission to make the life of her boss a little harder, while experiencing a little fun along the way.

J.C. Clarke lives in the heart of the New Forest in England with her husband and four children. Never a dull moment, her full house provides no shortage of inspiration which fuels her writing. She loves reading and writing a variety of genres in addition to dabbling with graphic art to create book covers, swag and more.

COVER WAS DESIGNED BY THE GREAT JC CLARKE HERSELF.

Blog Tour: Hunter by Rie Warren. I had a wonderful interview with the author. Do stop by and chat with us.

STATS:Title: HUNTERSeries: Bad Boys of Retribution MC #1Author: Rie WarrenPublisher: Rie WarrenGenre: Contemporary Erotic RomancePage count: Approx 150 pagesKeywords: alpha male, biker, southern, humor, mc romance, suspenseDate of release: June 2, 2015List Price: $0.99 cents Preorder link: Goodreads link: Hunter:My call-sign is GHOST. My roadname, too. I keep my head down, stay off the grid, fly under the radar. I’m the rough, gruff, good guy who does bad things for pay.
JB is my most recent mistake. The MC babe is innocence wrapped up in a rockin’ body. Don’t get me wrong, she has a wicked side, too. She’s kickass in bed, when we make it that far. But she’s the ultimate wholesome good girl, and I don’t want to dirty her up.
Hey, no one said life was all fun and games, right?
JB:Good girl? I prefer to think of myself as a rebellious hellion. I live my life like I ride my bike: carefree, in your face, and full throttle. My soft side? Well, that’s reserved for my job.
I’m not looking for love, and I certainly don’t need any relationship complications. Too bad complicated is the only way Hunter comes.
He’s a quiet, deadly storm. He prowls. He hunts me. He wants me. He’s sexy, sinful . . . secretive. Hunter will turn my life inside out no thanks to his dangerous past about to come back and bite us both in the ass.
Who’s gonna save us now?
Warning: Graphic sex, graphic action, graphic language. Triple X caution.
Author’s Interview Questions1. Where did the idea come from for the book?
Hunter and the Bad Boys of Retribution MC series is a spinoff from my Carolina Bad Boys series. Hunter’s is the first book because he made his appearance in Steele: Into Your Heart. I had to give him his own story because he’s such a sexy mysterious dude. He’s hiding a lot of secrets.
2. What genre does your book fall under?
Contemporary erotic romance combined with MC romance, and military. I like to mix things up!
3. Which actors would you choose to play your characters in a movie rendition?

Ooh! For Hunter . . . that would have to be Angelo Cruz! I’m not sure if he can act but *coughs* I could probably overlook that. He has the right look: https://www.pinterest.com/berdie294/angelo-cruz/
JB (she’s Hunter’s love interest. You’ll find out what the initials stand for in the book *wink_wink*). Hmm. Oh, I know! Selena Gomez. Yuss!

4. What is the one-sentence synopsis of your book?Danger comes in many forms but Hunter’s not prepared for the extreme danger innocent MC babe JB represents to his heart—a heart he thought was off limits.
5. Will your book be self-published or represented by an agency?
Self-published! I publish all my contemporaries.
6. How long did it take you to write the first draft of your manuscript?
It’s taking me about two weeks to write the first drafts for each of these MC books. I’m a fast writer, but a tedious editor.
7. What other books would you compare this story to within your genre?
I’d say Kristen Ashley’s Motorcycle Man books, with a high dose of humour and a southern setting to go with the grit and sex.
8. Who or What inspired you to write this book?
My good friend and fellow author Tera Shanley definitely motivated me to write this series. She’s got a lovely, vibrant spirit, a go-getter attitude, is super supportive, and one of the hardest workers I know.
9. What else about your book might pique the reader’s interest?
The entire Bad Boys of Retribution series is coming out this summer! Boom! And each book has a completely different feel and trope.
10. In general do you like to talk about you writing and published books or are you very close-lip about it? If no why?
I love talking about my writing to readers, friends, and fellow authors, sharing ideas and exchanging advice. I value my readers’ opinions and often ask them questions.
11. What book/s are you currently writing and what is it about?
I’m currently editing the second book in this series, Kinkaid, and writing the third book, Bo. After that? One more book to go! Coletrane.
12. What is the writing process like for you?
It really depends on what book I’m working on. Currently with the MCs I’m ramping right through them. As I said above, the editing process takes a bit longer for me because while writing I don’t stop to make sure everything is perfect, and I leave a lot of blanks just to keep moving.
On longer novels, I’m a bit more systematic and I plot. However, no plot is laid in stone. All stories grow organically.
For every book I definitely work in all the chapters at the same time, filling in sex, dialogue, black moments as they come to me—yet I still write through the chapters start to finish.
13. How did/do you teach yourself to write?
Mostly through trial and error, having a few amazing editing experiences that really opened my eyes to my bad writing habits, and an online course that totally changed my perspective on outlining—Deep Story by Carol Hughes.
14. What aspect of the craft do you think is the most difficult to learn?
Well, I’m not sure it’s something you can learn or not, but I think one of the most important things to master is writing with an entertaining and engaging voice.
15. What has been the most encouraging comment someone has made about your writing?
Well, since I’m writing like mad to get four books out this summer, one of my wonderful street teamers recently told me my readers wouldn’t mind if I wanted to slow down to spend more time with my family.
That was the sweetest thing ever! I’m still gonna bust my ass, but that took a weight off my shoulders. I’m definitely my own biggest slave driver and sometimes my goals are a little bit crazy.
16. What is the best and/ or worst part of being a writer?
Best thing? Being able to let loose and be creative. Worst part? The looooong hours.
17. Any advice for struggling writers?
Keep writing. Learn your craft. Don’t skimp on editing. Don’t be afraid of self-publishing, but if you go that route realize you will basically be the CEO of your own company.
18. What is your favorite genre to read or write?
Fave genres to read are M/M and YA. As for writing, I do M/M, contemporary, and paranormal, and I love them all.
19. Favorite author?
Ahhh! Trick question. Evil. I cannot choose just one. Currently I have to go with Deborah Harkness, but it changes all the time.
20. Do you have a favorite spot to read and write? Share a photo if you have.
I love to read outside, and I almost always write in my office, which I call my ‘woman cave’. I absolutely cannot write in public.
21. What did you do before you became a writer?
I’ve been writing forever. In fact, I wrote my first novel when I was twenty-four, which was *gasp* over fifteen years ago. That story is still hidden away somewhere, never to see the light of day. But before I started pursuing a career in publishing I usually worked with children in a nonprofit capacity.
22. Was it a life long dream or triggered recently?
I totally wanted to be a librarian when I was little. Truth!
23. What do you like to do when not writing?
I like to sleep. No seriously, sleep is gooood. I like to run and workout, too. Okay, that’s kind of a lie. I don’t necessarily love those, but getting in some physical exercise clears out my brain.
24. Do you have a bucket/ to-do list and would you share at least two things on it?
No bucket list here, at least not yet.
25. Most daring thing or experience you have done you would like to share?
I think the most daring thing I’ve done was moving to Glasgow, Scotland, knowing absolutely nobody, when I was twenty.

EXCERPT:
“You’ve got a beautiful cock, Hunter.”
Oh dear God!
“Gonna suck it so good now.”
She slid her lips up one side of my shaft then the other. I watched, out of my head horny. When her saliva mixed with my precome, she smacked her lips against the engorged purple head. She sucked on me, just to the rim and back.
“Is this what you wanted?” JB looked up with big innocent eyes. “Want to feel dirty with me?”
I held her face between my hands and drove up into her mouth.
After that first touch, I let her blow me how she wanted. My toes curled. My back bowed. I pulled the bottom sheet clear off the bed and struggled to hold back.
She came up for a breather with a smile, holding my cock in her hand. She stroked me, looking at the bulge of veins that stood in relief when she squeezed tighter.
“Can’t get you all the way inside, but maybe you’ll like this.” She flipped her hair forward and wrapped the silky strands around the base of my cock.
She went back to sucking and kissing my tip, stroking my length with her hair. The thought of the smell of my cock on her hair pulled a loud shout from me.
My balls drew up, turned hard, and almost traveled inside my body, my release was so imminent. But Jessica released me, blowing a hot soft stream of breath along my shaft.
“Fuck,” I growled. “Please. Need to come.”
She skimmed her teeth along the helmet of my head, and gently bit down.
My head knocked back.
“My big tough man likes that?” She bit me again. “You like it a little rough?”
The pain was just enough to heighten my senses, the soft lips afterward mind-blowingly intense. “God, Jessica . . . what you do to me should be illegal.”
