SYNOPSIS:

A movie set is a great place to test one’s endurance for temptations.  They’re all there for the taking. A person can get away with their indulgences. For Finn Kennedy, Father Paul Cruz and Esme Scott, things are about to get very tempting.

Finn Kennedy is flying high, after his hit comeback film. He’s slayed his personal dragons, and with his Irish good looks and penchant for play, he’s catnip to women. For Finn, there’s no reason to settle on one, when there are so many to be sampled.
Father Paul Cruz is burned out from his years as the Catholic chaplain at San Quentin. He’s been a priest for all of his adult life, and he’s questioning that choice. Father Paul has never enjoyed the less cerebral pleasures of life. A sabbatical is what he needs. When best friend Finn is cast in a film about a Jesuit priest, he gets Father Paul hired on as a consultant. His world is about to be rocked.

Esme Scott’s a young woman running from an abusive husband. She’s on her own for the first time, and trying to make her way. When she gets a job as the Wardrobe assistant on the film, she discovers just what she’s been missing, personally, professionally and sexually. And she finds out just how much it takes, to correct past mistakes.

Beautiful Park City, Utah is the setting for Wild In Paradise, the second book in the Paradise Series.

Excerpt:
They say luck is a lady. I think they’re right. Women have given me second chances before, chances I didn’t deserve. Lady Luck was no different. She resurrected this Irish soul from the ashes of my bad de- cisions. This limousine that I’m comfortably cocooned in confirms it’s so.
A decade ago my pass at fame had slipped through my fingers. I had a minor role in one hit movie, which by some miracle became a cult classic. I had ten lines at most, but people connected with me. I was the fireman who rescued the ingénue. My one close-up and the line, “Give me your hand, darlin’ and I’ll take it from there,” was remembered. Then it all went bad.
I’d had a brief ride on the carousel and reached for the brass ring, only to feel the metal brush my fingertips as I moved by in a haze of tequila and cocaine. Noticed by few, then quickly forgotten, I had become a footnote in Hollywood’s history book and a fading image on a few reels of celluloid.
What a fool I’d been. I became a regular in the “Whatever Happened To?” articles, where they would compare my looks in before and after photos. The com- parison was not good. I not only lost my career and my dignity, but I lost my wife. Bliss finally got tired of liv- ing with a husband who was frequently too stoned or hammered to know whose bed he was in. Any attempt at trying to get me to stop drinking and using was met with contempt. I didn’t deserve Bliss. After a time, she came to agree with me completely.
The day she walked out I felt a pivot. The seat of my reason nudging at me, like a finger poking me in the chest. I kept using and drinking myself stupid for a few months, but it was never as satisfying. I kept chasing the high, but I couldn’t catch the same intoxication. I became aware of the lesser man I had become. Conscience is the most effective buzz kill.
Then I began tallying up the costs of my addictions. You can’t ignore your own thoughts. I couldn’t, anyway. My better self was disgusted and let me know on a regu- lar basis. Every day I’d wish that asshole would shut the fuck up. But he was unforgiving. And in the end, I saw the truth. As good as drunk is, it always ends in thirst.
Now, by life’s artfully twisted itinerary, Bliss and I find ourselves friends. She in love and engaged to Steven French, a man I’ve come to respect, and me six years so- ber and enjoying another go around on the carousel. And rightfully, satisfyingly single. Life can be such a grand unpredictable bitch. So tonight this limousine is more than a ride. It’s a magic carpet, carrying me back to a place I’ve missed, a place I belong. I got another chance. This time I’m not going to piss away the opportunity.
I pull out my cell to check my messages. Seventeen missed calls and six texts. Ironic, to think a few years back I’d go days without a call. The only name that con- sistently popped up was my coke dealer, Grandma, as listed on my phone. If someone had read my recent calls back then, they’d have thought I was the best bloody grandson in the world. I scan the list of names. Carl is the only one I’m looking for. I always return my dad’s calls, no matter the hour. He’s alone, but not interested in leaving his Bay Area home of forty years, to come live with me. Moving to Los Angeles is not an option as far as he’s concerned. We’ve had that conversation many times.

“Baby, what’s that you’ve got there for me?” BB asks. Her expression shows surprise.
“A Jacobs Ladder. Ever seen one?” he asks.“No.”“Let me show you.”Finn takes his hands and slowly drops his pants to
reveal the first three rings piercing each side of his cock. BB takes her hand away to get a clear view.
“Damn, man. How am I going to keep playing cards, now that I know what’s waiting?” Her throaty laughter ups the heat that’s already sizzling.
“No more cards. I want to fuck you, and you’re not going to stop me,” says Finn. He looks down at his cock. “Here’s your full house.”
He keeps dropping his pants, an inch every five sec- onds or so. He’s teasing BB, building her arousal. I’ve got to admit it’s impressive. Thick and long. Just the fact he had the balls to pierce his dick says a lot. Now he’s com- pletely exposed.
“These are for your pleasure, darlin’. Each little ring rubbing against your lips, then inside your pussy. Give me your hand.”
He takes her hand and wraps it around his hard cock. I can see the desire on her face. Her mouth opens, just a bit. He starts pumping in her hand, as if she’s jacking him off.
“See how that feels on your hand? Now just imagine it inside you.”
As BB stays focused on Finn’s cock, I see him signal me to get up and join them. Oh boy. Here we go. Might as well, because my cock is waiting to be freed. I need a little liquid courage. I grab the tequila bottle, take a swig, and bring the bottle with me. I come up close behind BB, my cock pressed hard against her ass. I trickle the te- quila over her shoulders and down the front of her thin T-shirt. Finn catches some in his mouth as he licks her. As soon as the liquid and Finn’s tongue hits her nipples, they become erect. They stick out a good inch from her small breasts. She stops playing with Finn, for just a mo- ment, and looks over her shoulder to me. “Suck them,” she says barely above a whisper.
When Finn hears this, he quickly takes her hand from his cock, then turns her around so she’s facing me. His hands expertly move around her waist and down the front of her shorts. She jumps a bit.
“No panties? And smooth as a virgin. Aren’t you the bad girl,” he says. It’s not a question, but a statement of fact.
He unbuttons and unzips her shorts. He kneels behind her and roughly pulls the shorts to the ground. I lift the shirt above her head, and now she stands naked before us. I’m not sure where to start, because I’m stunned by my new definition of beauty. Female. The word takes on a new meaning.
She puts a hand behind my head and brings her mouth to my ear. Her warm breath creates a chill down my spine, with a quick stop at my balls.
“I need to feel your tongue on my nipples. Please,” she says.
There’s no possible way my cock could be any harder. I bring my mouth to her breasts and suck on her tequi- la-splashed breasts. Her nipples are rock hard. My other hand goes between her legs. It’s an unbelievably natu- ral motion. No teacher needed. It’s innate. She’s smooth shaven and her pussy lips are incredibly soft. I use my finger to part her and lift my middle finger inside. It’s warm and moist, and I can feel her muscles squeeze my finger in response. Oh Jesus, I have no idea where Finn is or what he’s doing back there. I only know I’ve found my new favorite thing. And I haven’t even fucked her yet. BB’s moaning now, and that only makes me hotter.
“Let’s move to the floor,” Finn says.We move to the green comforter. BB kneels down. “Come here, Finn. Let a girl taste what she has coming.”
He stands before her. She takes his pants down and off. And now his cock is close enough to her face to lick. There are six piercings on each side, on the underside from base to tip. She starts licking and sucking. Finn steadies himself with one hand on the fireplace mantel. Meanwhile, I realize I’m the only one still dressed. So I do what must be done. I take off my shirt and pants, and come up behind her. I straddle her kneeling legs. I want to surprise her. Standing, my cock reaches the top of the back of her head. I tap it against her. Surprise.
She slowly pulls her mouth from Finn’s dick. You know in a horror movie when the young girl senses the monster’s standing behind her? That’s what this mo- ment reminds me of. She freezes. She remains facing him though. She reaches over and behind her head, and with both hands finds my cock.
“Holy shit, Paul,” she says.
Finn’s getting close, I know, but he knows this is a big moment for me. So he pulls back and makes a sug- gestion to BB.
“Let me get you wet, darlin’. Then you can take on the “sledge hammer”.
BB isn’t protesting. She looks a little apprehensive, but at the same time excited. Finn proceeds to direct our little scene.

“Paul, get on your back. BB’s going to suck that thing. Don’t choke her.”

Excerpt Logo I cross my arms over my chest, getting more comfortable. “Come in,” I call out.The door opens, and she comes walking in as if she owns the place. Shoulders pulled back and chin up. She is dressed much differently than she was last night, but it doesn’t change the fact she’s beautiful. She’s pulled her long, dark hair up into a messy ponytail with loose pieces framing her flawless face. She has an oversized white t-shirt on that hangs off one shoulder. The color of her bra strap gets my attention. Black—my favorite color. She’s wearing a pair of black yoga pants that hugs her thin legs. Even though they cover more of her legs than her shorts did from last night, they seem more sexual. More intimate in a way that makes me want to peel them off her slowly.“I need to have a word with you …” I arch a brow at her hard tone even though it did sound cute “… sir,” she adds a little softer, and I hide my smile. So she doesn’t have as much backbone as she wants me to think she has.“I don’t think we’ve been properly introduced,” I say as I stand. I reach out my right hand toward her. “My name is …”She holds up her hand stopping me. “I know who you are.” She cocks a dark eyebrow. “A word?” She’s all business.I smirk as I sit back down. “Of course. And please, call me Case.” I gesture to the chair that sits across my desk.“I’ll stand. This won’t take long.” She takes in a deep breath, and I allow myself a quick look at her large chest hidden behind that t-shirt. I can’t touch her, but I sure as hell can enjoy the view.“What can I do for you?” I ask with amusement. I can think of several things I could do for her, all of which would require her being naked and bent over my desk. I rub my hands on my thighs as I feel my cock start to harden at the thought of her, open-mouthed, moaning in pleasure.“My brother told me that he owes you.” She gets right to the point.My face hardens at that statement. My amusement is replaced with anger. What else did he tell her? “I don’t see where what business I have with your brother is any of yours,” I say flatly.She crosses her arms over her chest and lets out a huff. The motion blows the dark strands around her face. “That is where you are wrong. I don’t know what he owes you, but I’m willing to pay it.”I refrain from chuckling at that. I lean forward and place my forearms on my desk. She quickly scans the tattoos on my arms and then looks back at me. “Taylor…”“Call me Miss Williams,” she informs me lifting her chin.“Miss Williams, I assure you that you cannot pay what he owes me.”I watch as her tough act starts to unravel. “I don’t have a lot of money, that’s true. But maybe I can make payments,” she offers, her voice sounding more desperate than demanding.I shake my head. “This isn’t about money.”She stomps her foot, and I chuckle. Her beautiful blue eyes narrow on me as she uncrosses her arms and points an angry finger at me. “Name your price!” she demands. “Everyone has a price.”If she only knew how right she is, but I say, “There is no price.”She throws her arms out to her side. “I came here …” She pauses as she looks around the room as if it can give her some sort of an answer. Then she mutters a curse in frustration. When she looks back up at me, she looks desperate. Her eyes have softened, making them look lighter than they are. Her lips part as she breathes in a sigh, and her shoulders slump in defeat. And I hate that I like the way it looks. That it makes me feel like she needs me. That I hold all the answers. Too bad she’s not gonna get them.

The bigger they are, the harder they fall...Chrome by Rie Warren. Carolina Bad Boys Series.

CHROME
With a Heart Forged in Steele
Then one feisty honey makes him feel, gets in his grill, pisses him off.
She goes by the name of Rayce. And that’s exactly what she does on her motocross bike when she’s not busy getting her hands dirty with her fellow grease monkeys as the only female mechanic at Stone’s Garage. She’s into fixing bikes, racing hers, and making Boomer’s life a living hell just for the fun of it. Oh, and she hates being treated like a girl.
Sparks flying? That’s an understatement where these two are concerned. Yet when Rayce needs a place to live, and Boomer offers her a room in his house, their unquenchable attraction wins out over antagonism. Sometimes. Rayce’s crappy upbringing makes her think love is for stupid fools asking for heartbreak. She’s not willing to go there for any man.
Not even Boomer Steele.
The bigger they are, the harder they fall.
Note to readers: this book addresses the issue of domestic abuse.

EXCERPT:
I waited an amount of time that almost did my head in. The idea of Rayce, in the same house, half-dressed . . .I climbed the stairs. They were so delicate and fucking dainty I felt like a giant. At the landing, I hooked left, and immediately ran into Rayce exiting the bathroom on a cloud of total hotness. The hallway was so small she banged up against me, but not before my eyes spun with the vision of her in a dress, and my tongue must’ve rolled out cartoon-style. “Boomer!” She spread her palms across my chest where my heartbeat thundered. She had on some sort of number that ended just above her knees, and it was curve-hugging until it flared at the skirt. The gray and cream pinstriped dress with a deep red belt looked vintage, classy, and I just didn’t have enough mother-lovin’ adjectives to describe it. A floral pattern overlaying the stripes echoed the charcoal-colored tats on her arms. Her tits overflowed the top. Her hips rounded out below the slim waistline. And her legs?Shit. Fishnet stockings. And, for the first time, high heels. Make that ankle-length black leather high-high-high heeled boots with metal designs on the toes.Her perfume dazed me. Her dress goddamn amazed me. She snapped her fingers in front of my face. “You in there?”“You’re wearing a dress.”Genius, Boomer. You are truly a genius.Rayce pivoted around, astoundingly graceful. The skirt flipped up to reveal seams on the backs of her stockings. “Like it?”Liked it so much I was considering banging her against the bathroom door. “Yeah.” I rubbed a hand over my mouth. “You could say that.”Then she did something entirely feminine, a side of her I’d never truly seen before, and performed a little twirl that lifted the skirt up her firm thighs before she stopped in front of me, her face glowing. I started sweating, right then and there. “Jesus. You’re gonna give me a heart attack.”“Serves you right, old man.”“I wanna be your old man.” Growling, I scooped her into my arms. “Been missing you.”I wouldn’t say I was at an impasse with Rayce, but I’d hardly seen her in several weeks. That was going to end tonight, after I watched Hunter either crash and burn or end up a happily married man.My lips slid up the curve of Rayce’s neck, and her skin tasted like hot womanly sweetness. I licked the shell of her ear, ghosted to the corner of her mouth, and touched the point of my tongue against the seam of her lips. She parted them with a gasp. I looked down at her with heavy eyelids, our mouths separated by just a breath of space. “Been dreaming about kissing you. Feeling your lips on mine.”“Why don’t you?” she asked, all throaty and sultry. “You don’t want it enough yet.” I backed away from her. She looked at me with glazed eyes, her lips moist and glistening. Placing my hands against the wall behind me, I curled my fingers, desperate to touch her. “Is JB ready, because if she’s not I’m about ten seconds away from spreading your legs and getting my face on your pussy.”

Announcing the release of Fooling around with Cinderella by Stacy Juba. "What happens when the glass slippers pinch Cinderella's toes?"

FOOLING AROUND WITH CINDERELLA
AUTHOR: Stacy JubaGENRE: Chick Lit/Sweet RomanceCOVER DESIGNER: Mark Juba

What happens when the glass slippers pinch Cinderella's toes?
When Jaine Andersen proposes a new marketing role to the local amusement park, general manager Dylan Callahan charms her into filling Cinderella’s glass slippers for the summer. Her reign transforms Jaine’s ordinary life into chaos that would bewilder a fairy godmother. Secretly dating her bad boy boss, running wedding errands for her ungrateful sisters, and defending herself from the park’s resident villain means Jaine needs lots more than a comfy pair of shoes to restore order in her kingdom. First in the Storybook Valley series, a blend of sweet romance, chick lit, and fairy tale fun.

Dylan wheeled his chair around and pointed to the castle poster. She followed his thumb toward the girl in an elegant white and gold gown. “I need a Cinderella.”
Jaine stared at Dylan to gauge whether he was kidding. Oh God, he wasn’t kidding. As he lowered his hand, tightness lodged in the pit of her stomach. “Cinderella?”
“Since you’ve been coming here for so long, you probably realize Cinderella is our centerpiece character. She sits on her throne all day, posing for pictures. She leads story times in the castle and appears during our weekend Meet and Greet Fireworks Gala.”
“What happened to the regular Cinderella?”
“She didn’t work out.” He fiddled with the pens poking out of a ski boot-shaped shot glass. “One of my cousins plays the part a couple days per week and fills in when she can, but her schedule doesn’t allow her to fulfill our full-time needs. It’s the middle of July and I’m tired of fooling around with Cinderella.”
He grinned, his dimples diverting her from the princess problem. “That didn’t come out right. But you know what I mean. It’s getting frustrating, Jaine. I’m having a hard time finding someone reliable.”
She bet that Cinderella wouldn’t get tired of fooling around with him.

After growing up in the Philippines, I now live in California with my husband and two girls. My husband survived two bouts of cancer, AML Leukemia and Mucoid Carcinoma; hence, the inspiration for Unbreakable. I thank the good Lord for healing my husband, twice. It can’t get any better than that.Our oldest, Andrea is a junior in APU. When she looks at my computer, the first thing out of her mouth is “Mom! What are you looking at? Dad!” Our youngest, Allysa is a freshman in high school. The few times she passed by me and looked over my shoulder when I was writing, her reaction was, “Mom! I’m telling dad!” There you have it; I have two double agents in my house. What happened to loyalty?If my husband is the ying to my yang, Andrea is the Marlin to my Dory while Allysa is the Buzz Lightyear to my Woody. I love the beach, but I hate the sand; I love to travel, but I hate to fly; I love to eat but, I hate gaining weight (all women can relate to this); and so goes my little quirks in life.Am I crazy? Well, the jury is still out on that one; however, I’d like to think if I can make one person smile with my craziness, it’s all worth it.

GRAPHIC ARTWORK – © 2015 by Wendy CareyAUTHOR BIO Mornings Journey - Author Photo  Kim Headlee lives on a farm in southwestern Virginia with her family, cats, goats, Great Pyrenees goat guards, and assorted wildlife. People and creatures come and go, but the cave and the 250-year-old house ruins—the latter having been occupied as recently as the mid-twentieth century—seem to be sticking around for a while yet.Kim is a Seattle native and a direct descendant of twentieth-century Russian nobility. This Halloween, play with Demons - Death of the Spirit by Rick Chiantaretto.

Death of the Spirit *Crossing Death #2*
Genre~Dark Fantasy/Occult

I have no idea who I am anymore.

In Los Angeles, I would have given anything to go home to Orenda, my world where magic was alive and nature spoke to me. Now that I'm back I feel out of place, burdened with responsibility. The human part of me misses the simplicity of Earth, the mage part begs for connection with magic, and the demon part? I don't want to admit that exists.

As the darkness inside me grows, I’ll learn to sacrifice for the greater good, as my people have always done. In order to save my family (both mage and human alike), I must face my nightmare, embrace the demon, and descend into the shadowy world of my enemy—the Hell of the Damned.

Once there, I will have nothing left to fear but myself: Edmund Gavel, human, mage, demon... maybe monster.

I've often been accused of having done more in my life than the average person my age but if I were completely honest, I'd have to tell you my secret: I'm really 392. So after all this time, I'm a pretty crappy writer.I have two books published and a bunch half written (when you have eternity, where's the reason to rush?). I've been favorably reviewed by horror greats like Nancy Kilpatrick, and my how-to-write-horror articles have been quoted in scholarly (aka community college freshmen's) papers.I enjoy the occasional Bloody Mary, although a Bloody Kathy or Susan will suffice.Mostly, I just try to keep a low profile so people don't figure out who I REALLY am.

When Kira finds herself tempted to touch will she remain faithful to her husband or yield to the desires of her flesh?
  excerpt
When I rounded the corner Meena, my secretary, was standing in front of her desk smiling and waving at me. Her attentiveness and bright smile cut right into my investigation into why my marriage was beginning to fail. “Hi, Meena. Did you miss me?” I asked, referring to the way she was waiting to greet me like a lap dog. “Mrs. Seagram, you’re so funny,” she said, swiping her wispy brunette hair out of her eyes. “I’m so excited to see you because I can’t wait to see the look on your face when you go into your office.” “Ugh.” I groaned, letting my arms droop at my sides. “You didn’t redecorate again, did you?” “No. While you were at lunch you received a delivery and it’s mighty extravagant. I hope that after I’ve been married for ten years my husband still does things like Mr. Seagram.” “Thank you, Meena. I’m sure it’s nothing out of the ordinary,” I said as I walked past her desk. I turned the knob and my stomach dropped to my heels. On the other side of the door a tall medley of flowers and fruit curled into a G clef awaited me. A smile spread across my face as I approached this massive fruit salad structure. I fingered the petals of the black orchids and inspected the assortment of fruits—pineapple chunks, mangoes, and strawberries covered in white chocolate. All of my favorite things were neatly assembled on my desk. Mason must have thought there was another dog sniffing around his backyard. “Excuse me,” I said to Meena who was still standing in the doorway gawking at the flowers as I picked up the phone and dialed Mason’s cell phone number. He probably thought this massive floral arrangement would get me to join the choir and keep my affections at home. I would have preferred some new shoes. Shoot, for a new pair of Fendi pumps I’d churn out “I Go to the Rock” in a heartbeat and have them saints running up and down the aisle of our church in a minute. “Praise the Lord!” Mason shouted into the phone when he answered. Why did he have to be all holy all the time? “Hello, Mason.” “What’s going on, my love? You usually don’t call me in the middle of the day.” “You tell me what’s going on, Mason. Do you think that a little gallant gesture and some white chocolate will get me to work on the record with your choir?” “What are you talking about?” “You know exactly what I’m talking about. The floral arrangement—” “Floral arrangement?” he queried, cutting me off. “If you thought that an oversized wreath would get me to sing with that little gospel choir of yours, you’re wrong.” “Kira, I did not send you any floral arrangement.” Half listening to his spiel, I dug my hand into the center of the arrangement and removed the card. Without your voice my music is all blues and no rhythm. ~Q I read the message again and flashes of heat coursed through my fingers. His vulnerability was sexy. Quincy McAdams had gone from a chemistry major to a music mogul and his life was still missing something. The words on the card spoke louder to me than Mason until he shouted into the receiver, “Well, where did the flowers come from? I will not ask again.”

Holly Barbo's world is shaped by her love of family, the beauty of the natural world and an irrepressible creative drive. She has always been curious and sees life through questions. These four characteristics color her writing voice and her stories frequently evolve from her asking "What if....?" Her tales tend to have non-urban settings with nature contributing to the plot, building discordant themes inside a seemingly peaceful refrain.
Holly weaves alternative worlds with threads from today.

Samantha Jacobey: Anyone who knows me could tell you, I am a friendly kind of person, never met a stranger and take up conversations any where at any time. I work hard, and my mind never seems to shut down, as I wake up often in the middle of the night with ideas pouring out and demanding to be dealt with. Of course that means much of my books were written in the middle of the night.
I grew up and still live in the great state of Texas where everything is bigger, where we have warm weather and a central location. I love my state, my town, and my family, which includes my four sons, my significant other, and many friends as well.
I have thoroughly enjoyed writing the books that are currently available and hope you will enjoy reading them just as much. And of course, there will be many more stories to come.
~~~
Cherime MacFarlane: Although born in New Orleans, I am proud to call myself an Alaskan. I have lived here since 1977. I have seen -40 degrees, hauled water, made bear bacon and I live in a cabin. I have used a fishwheel to catch salmon coming up the Copper River. I was my second husband's chief mechanic's helper and roadie. I have cut firewood on shares. I worked as a cocktail waitress during pipeline days in a small lodge on the Richardson Highway.
My second husband, a Scot from Glasgow, was the love of my life. When I write Scots dialect, I personally experienced hearing it from my in laws. When my husband got on the phone to Scotland, after 5 seconds I could barely understand a word.
We moved to Wasilla to get warm. It barely drops past -25 degrees here in the winter. I became a paralegal and worked for over 26 years for the same firm.
Alaska is my home. I never thought I would love it so much, I never want to leave. The beauty of Alaska is a draw I cannot resist. I love the people and the history. I have been captured by a place I came to under duress. Life does play some interesting tricks on one. My love and I were not apart more than 24 hours for 20 plus years. I never wanted to be anywhere but with him. He was a man to run the river with and was my biggest fan.
~~~
Nikki Lynn Barrett: I'm an avid lover of books. I've been writing as far back as I can remember, completing my first "book" by fifth grade in one of those one subject spiral notebooks. I have a passion for music, photography, jewelry and all things creative. I live in Arizona with my husband and son, but dream of being somewhere much colder and stormier. For now, I'll have to live that life through my characters and stick it out with the summer heat.

Jayne Hyatt is a novelist who currently lives in Denver, Colorado. A lifelong bookworm, she especially enjoys reading contemporary and historical romance, romantic suspense and mysteries. When she's not writing, or reading, she's very likely hanging out with her best friend, cooking up a storm, watching a movie, trying out a new restaurant, browsing in a used book store, or simply daydreaming. As she puts it: "I seem to spend a lot of time daydreaming about what my characters are up to when I'm not with them."
