Her thighs are gripping my hips, and her fingers claw at my back. I feel powerful as my fingers slide through her moisture easily. “I need to touch you, I need to feel you.” The need in her voice is obvious as she pants, I reach down and grasp her ass as I pull my fingers out to torment her, flicking her nub, knowing how hot she is getting, I need to please her. “Oh!” Cord’s body tenses, but I pull back, I need her with me, and I need her mindless with passion. Her eyes, glazed and heavy lidded, meet mine, and I grin as I turn us and shut the door we were standing next to, she reaches over and locks it. I move us over to a table and lean forward so her back makes contact. She wastes no time pulling my shirt off and is working on my pants before I have either of my shoes kicked off. I unfasten her shorts and yank them down, as she pulls on my pants. I step back and drop my jeans, stepping out of them, and pull Cord to the edge of the table. With no hesitation, I slide into her, her back arches and I have to taste her again. I lean forward and lick her nipple, watching as it beads. Cord reaches around me, grabbing my ass and pulling me closer. “Make love to me. Now.” Her gaze is direct and intense, and the love I have for her swamps me. I lean forward and kiss her while I start pumping in and out of her, I reach down and finger her nub. Hearing her muffled plea for more. I lean back and pull her thighs up so I can thrust forward harder, her husky moans spurring me on to move faster. “You are beautiful.” She is, looking at her gorgeous body splayed before me, gripping my cock, making my heart beat hard, I can’t help but voice the truth. Her moan is thanks enough, and I feel her squeeze around my cock. I pump fast, then reach around and use my thumb to press and rub her nub. Her body bows even more as I feel her orgasm squeeze my cock harder and her juices drench me, and I can’t hold back any more as my whole body tenses. I feel the sweetest relief pour through me. Panting, I lean forward and rest my forehead against hers. “I love you so much,” I whisper against her lips, and she smiles sleepily.

Like many other foundations, the Special Operations Warrior Foundation provides assistance to injured soldiers as well as their families. SOWF also focuses on one of the most important challenges those families face; 'getting to their hospitalized loved ones as quickly as possible'. With grants immediately provided to the family, they can travel to be bedside with their loved one, especially for those crucial first days. SOWF also provides a scholarship program, family services (including clinical social workers, scholarship counselors, and family services counselors). With on-going support and helpful counseling to all families of fallen members in every branch of the military, they are able to help in all the ways that count. The SOWF was highly recommended to me by a recent veteran who served in Iraq. Therefore, I am thrilled to be able to help them in any way possible. Every little bit counts.

I felt her hand rest on my arm, stopping me from rolling away and getting the hell away from her before I said something stupid."I know you don't remember me from before, but I ..." Her words trailed off, her fingers constricting against my skin.God, if I could just touch her, I wouldn't need to ask questions. I would be able to feel every soft curve and edge, and I wouldn't need anything more than that. If I could just touch her."I was never one of those girls that you found yourself with all too often."I frowned and leaned forward, waiting for an explanation. I had no idea what she was talking about. Of course she wasn't one of those girls. She was real and sweet, compassionate and smart. Those other girls were just fake. The pretty was only on the outside."I was never really pretty. At least not the pretty that everyone would have seen. I was kind of awkward and nerdy, but rounder in areas where other girls were flat. Still am. Does that make sense?"I hesitated before nodding my understanding, grinning when I envisioned her. "So you're telling me that you look like a real woman and not a stick?"She gasped and pulled her hand away from my arm. "I didn't say that."I waited for her to continue. Anything that would give me a better picture of her. She stayed silent. I was starting to feel like the air around me was too thick to breathe.Grace cleared her throat and shifted in her chair. I wanted to know what she was doing with her hands. Was she wringing them together? Were they in her lap? In her hair? Was she looking at me or trying to avoid that?"I'm just me," she said, quietly."You're beautiful." The words left my mouth without my prompting, but there was nothing inside of me that wanted to take them back. She released a self-deprecating laugh and, again, I wondered what she was doing with her hands."I may be blind, Grace. But I can still see some things."

I live in Morgan, Utah with my husband, beautiful daughter, and a couple of spoiled pups. If I'm not deeply involved in writing my next book, then I'm probably reading in the safety and quiet of my closet. I love yoga – which I now practice regularly – playing hide and seek with my daughter (only to have my hiding spots revealed by one of the pups), and I love Fruit by the Foot, Twizzlers and Peace Tea. These are great ways to bribe me into revealing secrets about what's to come.I have an unhealthy obsession with Supernatural, The Walking Dead, and The Big Bang Theory. I also enjoy talking about them, so if you like them, too, come find me.Writing has become an enormous part of my life and every book I write holds a special place in my heart. If you read one of my books, I hope you have the same experience.

The world ended in a blaze of holy light, cleansing the universe in preparation for what was to come next. Yet, even as the celebrations began, a soft command was given, and with a rustle of feathers, the appointed one took flight. The war may have ended here, but that only meant the danger for the other worlds grew. His job was clear. The twelfth must be found, the circle completed. Eleven had been left behind to stand between the darkness and humanity. If they fell, evil would consume every other world and billions of souls would be lost forever. He closed his eyes and felt for the crack between universes. He was one of only a handful of his kind who could do this, who could travel like one of them.There. He could feel it.He stretched his arms over his head, speeding up. He tucked his wings tight against his body and began to spin. As he cut through the fabric of space, he could feel the darkness behind him. Following. Time was growing short. He put on a burst of speed. This was not the time to worry about conserving energy. He had to reach them before they tried to go home. He had to make them see. This was his greatest mission, the one he had been created to carry out. He could not fail.

Tutankhamen Speaks: The Quest Books Companion to Sons of the Sphinx by Cheryl Carpinello. #Historical Fiction #Ancient #Civilizations

BOOK SYNOPSIS2014 EVVY Merit Award for Historical Fiction from CIPA (Colorado Independent Publishers Assoc.) Long ago the old texts of ancient Egypt alluded to scrolls in which King Tut spoke to the people from beyond the tomb. Many archeologists put this down to an incorrect translation of the ancient Egyptian texts. Others swore to the accuracy of the translation. None of that mattered because the scrolls in question could not be found. Scholars labeled it a hoax, something that never existed. It was ludicrous to imagine someone speaking from the grave. They were wrong on both accounts.BUY & TBR LINKSAMAZON KINDLE USAMAZON KINDLE CAAMAZON KINDLE UKAMAZON PAPERBACKBARNES & NOBLESBARNES & NOBLES PAPERBACKSMASHWORDSITUNESGOODREADSSHELFARIEXCERPTSome afternoons when the palace guards relaxed their vigil and most of the people napped out of the heat, Ankhesenpaaten and I would climb the stairs up to the windows. Looking out, we could see over the tops of buildings far to the East where the Aten appeared each morning. “Where would you go, Ankhesenpaaten, if you could leave Egypt?” I asked one afternoon. Her eyes sparkled, and her smile widened. I watched as she rested her chin on her arms, her eyes drawn beyond the eastern horizon. “I would travel beyond the beginnings of our land,” she said. I looked at her questioningly. “In the women’s quarters, one hears stories,” she explains. “A few of the women are from there. The tales they have told are wonderful!” She turned to me then. “Imagine Tutankhaten, pools of sparkling water surrounded by lush, green bushes and trees, flowers of pink, orange, white, and even black!” “How is that different from here?” I asked. “Here it is only along the Nile where the bushes, reeds, and flowers grow. There in the land they call Persia exists a city where gardens hang from cliffs and mountain sides! I would love to see such a sight.” A few years later, I remembered her wish. After we were married, I had a section of our palace in Thebes reconstructed to resemble those hanging gardens that she so wished to see. Had we been given more time, I would have ventured outside of Egypt’s borders and taken Ankhesenpaaten to the gardens in person.

Excerpt:
She walked over and tugged on Puzzles and Games, a newer book wedged tightly between the thick, dusty jackets of The Secret History of Yellowstone Country, and Ranching Ain't What It Used To Be. And the entire book case leaned toward her. Catching the frame of the shelves with her hands, she spun around, and used her body weight to shove the burdensome book beast back into position. But every time she stepped away, the case threatened to fall. Somehow the bottom had become unbalanced. She glanced at the clerk behind the counter and opened her mouth to call for help. Then Ryan Tanner walked toward her and she involuntarily jumped in place. They'd grown up together, riding the same school bus and sharing the same classes day after day right up through the twelfth grade. But after high school she'd relocated to New York to attend college. Then she put her business degree and love of fashion together to snatch the assistant managerial position at the Manhattan branch of Silvain's, a national fashion retail conglomerate which specialized in hip clothing and accessories. Over the years she'd run into Ryan only briefly during her occasional visits home. And she had no desire to see him now. Ryan was the kind of guy a girl dreamed about but could never have. At least not exclusively. He was a charmer who took the opportunity to flirt with every female he met. And he'd tried to charm her the night of their high school senior prom, the night her horse died, in an attempt to delay her from getting home too soon...and saying goodbye. Of course, they were adults now, both almost twenty-seven, she with her glowing resume and he with a seven-year-old son. She thought she'd forgiven him and let bygones be bygones. She was wrong.

DARLENE PANZERA writes sweet, fun-loving romance and is a member of the Romance Writers of America’s Greater Seattle and Peninsula chapters. Her career launched when her novella “The Bet” was picked by Avon Books and New York Times bestselling author Debbie Macomber to be published within Debbie’s own novel, Family Affair. Darlene says, “I love writing stories that help inspire people to laugh, value relationships, and pursue their dreams.”
Born and raised in New Jersey, Darlene is now a resident of the Pacific Northwest, where she lives with her husband and three children. When not writing she enjoys spending time with her family and her two horses, and loves camping, hiking, photography, and lazy days at the lake.

Corazon by Suzanne Rock. The Jungle Heat series Book 3 is now available.

Marissa had always suspected that kissing Navarro would be intense, but she had no idea just how intense until he had her in his arms. The man was sin on a stick, and with each passing second she was falling more and more under his spell.
When he brushed his tongue against the seam of her lips, it felt like heaven. With a groan, she parted them in invitation. Navarro took advantage, planting his hand along the back of her head to hold her steady as he plundered her mouth. The kiss wasn’t gentle, but Marissa didn’t want gentle. All her life she had dated “gentle” men who her father found respectable. There was something wild and feral in Navarro. It called to a primal place deep inside her soul.
She was the one who was supposed to be seducing him, not the other way around. If she didn’t regain some control over this situation, she would never be able to use this moment to gain the information she needed.
As Navarro lifted her up onto the bar and eased in between her thighs, Marissa attempted to disentangle herself. Somehow, her movements brought her closer to him, not farther away. That wild, testosterone part of him was turning her muscles to water. It had been so long since she had sex, even longer since she had good sex. Something about Navarro told her that one night with him would be extraordinary.
Giving up on her plan to take charge, she inched closer to the edge of the bar and slid her hands around his waist. As his erection pressed up against her inner thigh, she decided that she’d give herself over to the moment just this once. By giving herself over to him, she could gain his trust. Yeah, that’s it. Trust.
As he slid his tongue against hers, weeks of building tension exploded into her mouth. He tasted raw and masculine, a heady, leathery taste that matched his scent. He invaded her senses, pushing through the last shred of her defenses until the world around her faded away. She moaned and tilted her head, deepening the kiss. Within seconds there was only her. Only him. Only hungry mouths and skin touching skin.
“Yes,” she gasped as he tore away from her. He kissed her jaw and neck, creating a hot, tingling sensation along her skin that fueled her desire. She leaned her head back and closed her eyes as he let go of her wrist and ran his large fingers down her back. Sliding her hands up his washboard abs and along his muscular chest, she slipped them under his black, leather jacket and pushed it off his shoulders. He pulled back and shed the jacket on a single, fluid motion. It fell to the ground in a heap around them as he leaned forward and kissed her neck once more.
“Navarro,” she whispered as she tugged his T-shirt from his jeans. After freeing the cotton fabric, she eased her fingers underneath and slid them over his skin. The hard muscle flexed under her fingertips as he inched closer to the edge of the bar. Digging her nails into his skin, she wrapped her legs around his waist and positioned herself until his cock pressed up against her center.
“What is it about you, Marissa?” His breath whispered over her skin, making her shiver. “From the first day we met, I felt the tension between us.”
“Yes,” she whispered as his tongue flicked over the sensitive vein in her neck.
“Ever since then, I’ve been watching you, trying to figure out why you have this affect over me.” He eased his hand up her side and covered her breast. Marissa moaned as he squeezed her sensitive flesh and kneaded the tip between his fingers.
“No other woman has captured my attention like this. Just your scent drives me mad with desire.”
“Navarro, please.” She tugged up on his shirt, eager for him to remove it. She wanted him, had wanted him from the first moment she stepped into Estrella’s. The tension between them that he mentioned was real. As he leaned her back onto the smooth surface of the bar, a sense of urgency rose up deep inside of her core. She shifted her fingers, sliding them around his torso and rubbing them over his rough skin. He growled in response, a throaty, masculine sound that sent a jolt of desire up through her core.
He shifted until his lips were inches away from her ear. “I need to be inside of you, querida.” He flicked his tongue over her lobe. “Before this night is over, I will make you mine. Only mine.”
