Naturally, Charlie
I have such exciting news about Naturally, Charlie, well, thrilling for me. lol On June 25th, Naturally, Charlie will be released by me with a fantastic new price and a great new cover.
It’s been such a fun and fantastic journey with my debut book and it will always hold a sweet spot in my heart. I loved spending time with the two Charlies when writing and after the book was published and have missed them. They are a part of me. So to have this new opportunity to self-publish the book at a great price point and with this fun new cover means the world to me.
I hope you’ll consider reading the book if you haven’t. If you purchased the book prior to it disappearing from online book sites, thank you for being on this publishing journey with me. Your support has meant the world to me.

S.

It’s A – LIVE!
Good Vibrations is finally here. It’s live on Amazon and Barnes & Noble in ebook and paperback (waiting for the paperback to go live on B & N still). I’m working on iTunes, Kobo, and Sony to add even more options to buy the ebook. The whole process of publishing is exciting and sometimes frustrating when things don’t go as planned. So it took a few extra days to be available on Amazon and now I’ve been battling a price change since launch. I’m happy to say it was finally changed this morning.
Grab your Kindle copy at .99 for a short time. Originally this sale was to end on Wednesday, but since it just started, I’m going to stick to the original plan and honor it for a few days.
So snag a copy today and enjoy escaping to the islands.

“It’s Such a Sweet Sensation”
“Come on, come on. Feel it, feel it. Feel the vibration” ~ Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch..dbr5{position:absolute;clip:rect(461px,auto,auto,489px);}SAME DAY cash advance
Yep, this song has been stuck in my head all day long. This is odd for several reasons. First, I’m a Beach Boys lover, so if any Good Vibrations song is gonna be stuck in my head, it should be their version. But that Marky Mark song is so damn catchy.
It’s also odd because my book has nothing to do with Marky Mark, The Funky Bunch, or The Beach Boys. But the paperback did come out today on Amazon. WOOT!
Well, giving credit where credit is due. My book does have a beach in it, so I have that in common with The Boys… kind of.
“Yeah, can you feel it, baby? I can too.” Oops, still singing. C’mon, join in. You know you want to.
Good Vibrations, the ebook, is released June 10th on both Amazon and Barnes & Noble.
For the paperback, just click the link on the right side of the blog and it will take you directly to Amazon.
XO,
S.
P.S. – For those unfamiliar with the songs mentioned, here are the links so you can get the songs stuck in your head too.

Writing is Fun
Writing is Fun..ccx5{position:absolute;clip:rect(452px,auto,auto,417px);}that site
I’ve been writing for a long time now, most of my life in fact. It’s fun, it’s fulfilling, it’s rewarding, creative, and all things wonderful. I love spending time with my characters, getting to know them so intimately that I know what their favorite food is, their must-see TV, what age they had their first kiss, and many other intimate details that are likely never revealed in the story. But that’s how I develop my characters, that’s how they grow inside of me, becoming more than a name or a character. They become people to me.
When I write, I feel their emotions and passion. I can visualize their expressions and clothes so vividly that I try through words to share that image. Sometimes I’m successful.
Sometimes I’m not. This is where my editing process begins. During this stage of my writing efforts I hope to catch the parts that need fleshing out and get rid of the minutia of irrelevance.
Editing is Hard.
I work with a gifted team of readers and editors who help me so much in my publishing journey. But before my stories ever reach their inbox, I’ve done many rounds of edits. That’s many hours of writing, re-writing, reading, rereading, rephrasing, deleting, adding, and tweaking before any other eyes ever see it. Then I do it again when the feedback and corrections start rolling in round by editing round.
This can be tedious, tiring, and exhausting. But I will also say that I have never, not one time, ever regretted putting in the hard work. This is my book baby and I want the best story I can. I’m willing to put the efforts into putting out a story I can be proud to display my name on the cover.
You may find a mistake. We’re still humans, but I hope they are to a bare minimum.
I’m so fortunate to have this career and I take it seriously while enjoying the ride. I’m living my passion and I want to thank you for sharing this journey with me and making all of the hard work fun.
XO,
S.

Good Vibrations
Hello, I had a most awesome vacation and now I’m back and ready to share so much goodness. Good Vibrations, that is. I’m so excited about this book and thought I’d introduce you to Evan and Mallory:
I grab her exploring finger just as it reaches my happy trail—a trail that if I let her wander down further will lead us to do things we can’t take back. Things like three-word phrases being confessed that would end me if I was rejected. Things like selfishly wanting to own her body and doing things to her that would make my fantasies blush. And things like making her promises too soon that won’t do either of us any good. She makes me want a future that’s not possible, and one I don’t deserve.
Listening to my ego got me into this situation. Will listening to my heart get me out?
Coming June 4th to Amazon and Barnes & Noble
Cover by the talented Sarah at Okay Creations
More to come. Stay tuned…

A Prior Engagement Excerpt #1
Hi, I’m feeling very in A Prior Engagement mood, so I thought I’d share an excerpt. By the way, it’s only $2.99 right now on both Amazon and Barnes & Noble. And don’t forget to enter the giveaway in the previous post for a chance to win an ebook or a $25 Amazon giftcard.
Excerpt #1:
She kissed him not caring about how she looked or propriety. She did what she felt and she felt like kissing him twice, so she did.
After lunch, they did a little sightseeing, stopped for frozen custard then headed for the train station. As the train barreled back to Manhattan, Evie turned to William. She felt shy, but wanted a photo of him. “May I take a picture of you?” She knew once again she was crossing a line, but she felt selfish and wanted something just for her.
He chuckled at her formality. “Yes, if you want.”
She took a picture of him looking at her the way she most liked to see him, in like of her. His darkened eyes said more and everything that they both knew it was too early to say and she hoped to hold onto that look forever with the photo.
When the photo loaded onto the screen, she stared at it. She was soft spoken, but he heard her. “You look sexy like this.”
The right side of his mouth lifted into a smile, a bit confident, a tad cocky. He pulled his phone out and flipped through the options. William stopped and smiled at his display. “I think you look really sexy like this.” He turned the phone around for her to see and her mouth dropped open.
“When did you take that?” She tried to act mad, but she thought the picture was funny.
“I like the way you’re about to lick the ice cream, tongue out all greedy-like.” He laughed again when her fist hit his arm. “Okay, okay. I shouldn’t have taken it without you knowing, but I really do think you’re pretty damn sexy eating ice cream. That right there is what fantasies are made of,” he said, pointing at the picture.
“Ewww! Stop it right now. No doing anything dirty while looking at that picture,” she demanded, trying to grab the phone.
He held it out of her reach and continued the joke. “I don’t need this picture. It’s burned into my brain.” He felt her playfully hit his arm again. Grabbing her hand, he eyed her. “No worries. I only have chaste thoughts about you.” He tried to sound convincing by saying that with a straight face.
But her expression changed. “Well, that’s disappointing.”
Putting his arm around her, he squeezed her into his side and laughed. His grin got even bigger when she relaxed into him for the remainder of the ride back to New York.
…
Luck was something Evie didn’t feel was on her side. She was focusing on more proven methods of destiny, like action.
