The Five Series - On My Mind This Week
In this post of Five Things, here are five things on my mind this week. What’s on your mind this week?
Oscars. I’m having a friend over on Sunday night to watch the big movie event, something we’ve done since college.
Renovations. We are finally ready to move forward with starting this project which was initially started back in August. It feels good to finally have the money side in place and have everyone on the same page. Look for more on this in March.
Snow. We didn’t get much here in Austin and it only lasted a few hours but our trampoline had enough for my boys to make a snowball . . . and then they put it in the freezer. hehe Picks of the trampoline and flowers in my yard from Wednesday night.
Food. I’m trying to lose weight. It’s slowly. I’m not mentally ready and I know from losing weight after having kids that it is a big commitment and you need the right mentality. After many injuries and steroid shots over the years for pain, I’m not happy with my weight and it’s not healthy. So I’m easing into working toward not only losing weight, but replacing the bad thoughts with positive ones.
Plots. I’ve been developing a story plot that I’m super excited to start writing soon.

The 5 Series - Five Highlights of 2019
I think the best way to begin The 5 Series is with the end - the end of the year highlights that is. In no particular order, here are a few of my bests of the year. I’d love to hear more about yours. If you want to share, leave a comment below.
Spending time with my family on a wonderful Hawaiian vacation.
After many years of publishing, I achieved a new dream of signing a 2-book deal with an amazing traditional publisher - Kensington.
I published two books (and wrote one for the publisher coming in 2021) that I worked so hard to write through some struggles, but books that make my heart so happy and stories that mean the world to me.
Reorganizing my business and personal life to spend more time with my family while lightening some business load.
Spending time and meeting so many friends from online and readers this year. You are heart-filling and light the fire in my writing drive to give you the best I can every time.
It was so hard to narrow this list down, so I let my heart tell me what to write this time.
