Off to Monterey…
One day left before the Autofilmfest begins in Monterey tomorrow. A lot to do as rehearsals begin at noon, so I’m packing this morning as much chocolate as I can fit into my bag. Gotta have enough for everyone, right? So awesome…

Super excited as I’m heading to Monterey tomorrow for the World Class Automotive Film & Arts Festival Rehearsal. The line-up of films is really fantastic and the show’s gonna be a blast. Hope to meet some of you for the first time as well as see some familiar faces!

Another concept for MONSTER GARAGE was the Insane 54. A 1954 Ranch Wagon that we chopped and channeled. Builders included Gene Winfield, Daryl Starbird, Jesse and myself as designer. Great project for the final 86th episode.

Elon Musk has revealed plans for his solar powered Hyperloop train that would connect commuters from LA to SF at the speed of sound. The Hyperloop would shorten travel time from 5 hours to 30 minutes with a series of 70 aluminum pods elevated on columns about 50- 100 yards apart.
The above-ground modules would shoot through steel tubes at 800 miles an hour while avoiding the land rights complications projected for the California plans. Pretty dang cool…
