Empowering Words of Wisdom from Jack Canfield to Help You Manifest Your Dreams
Motivational speaker and author Jack Canfield is all about helping people transform their lives and manifest their dreams into reality.
Today, I wanted to share just a few quotes of his that can help us get from where we are now to where we want to be:
“You only have control over three things in your life – the thoughts you think, the images you visualize, and the actions you take (your behavior). How you use these three things determines everything you experience. If you don’t like what you are producing and experiencing, you have to change your responses.”“Whatever goal you give to your subconscious mind, it will work day and night to achieve.”“Decide what you want, believe you can have it. Believe you deserve it and believe it’s possible for you.”“Everything you want is out there waiting for you to ask. Everything you want also wants you. But you have to take action to get it.”

Embracing the Slow Dance of Life: Wisdom from David L. Weatherford and Wayne Dyer
Life can move very, very fast. And in the society we live in, that fast quality is often championed and celebrated.
But faster is not necessarily always the best way. Slowing down can allow us to really live our lives in a full, wholehearted, mindful way.
Today I wanted to share some words that I love from a few wise teachers on the importance of slowing down and enjoying the process.
First, here’s an excerpt from a poem called “Slow Dance” by David L. Weatherford:
You’d better slow down.
Don’t dance so fast.
Time is short.
The music won’t last.
When you run so fast to get somewhere,
You miss half the fun in getting there.
When you worry and hurry through your day,
It is like an unopened gift thrown away.
Life is not a race.
Do take it slower.
Hear the music
Before the song is over.
I love that part that says, “When you worry and hurry through your day, It is like an unopened gift thrown away.” We waste the precious gift of our lives when we worry and hurry our way through it!
Along a similar vein, my wise, late friend Wayne Dyer reminds us of this:
“When you dance, your purpose is not to get to a certain place on the floor. It’s to enjoy each step along the way.”
How often do you miss half the fun in getting to where you are headed – by rushing and running your way through? How often do you miss out on all the gifts along the way?
Today, I hope we will all take these wise reminders to heart. I hope that we will bring the intention to take it all a bit slower, and to enjoy each and every step along the way.
So let’s try not to rush the music! Let’s try to embrace the slow pace of life today.

10 Affirmations to Help You Forgive Yourself
Do you often find yourself holding onto your mistakes, shortcomings, failures, missteps, and imperfections? These things can start to feel so heavy over time if we keep holding onto them and don’t let go. Regret, guilt, and shame take up a lot of space and energy!
So, we need to remember to let those things go every once in a while! By doing so, we can free ourselves up so that we can have more energy moving forward.
In service of letting go and offering ourselves forgiveness, I have 10 affirmations for self-forgiveness for us to practice today.
Here they are:
I forgive myself for making mistakes, even the ones I have made more than once.I forgive myself for the times I have tried and failed.I forgive myself for the times I was too scared to try in the first place.I forgive myself for not speaking up when I needed to. I forgive myself for not listening to myself and my own inner wisdom.I forgive myself for not feeling confident to be myself.I forgive myself for thinking I wasn’t valuable or enough.I forgive myself for not taking better care of myself or prioritizing my needs.I forgive myself for being messy, imperfect, and human.I choose to forgive myself, let go, and move forward with more peace.I can feel a weight release from my back as I read those words and repeat them to myself. Because after all, we’re all human. We are all imperfect. But we are all worthy, valued, and enough exactly as we are – flaws and all.

From Dreaming to Doing: The Bridge You Need

The answer to that riddle might seem straightforward, but it underscores a profound truth. Dreams, goals, aspirations – they all remain distant and intangible until we decide to take that critical step forward. That step is action.
While dreaming big is important, it is action that bridges the gap between what we envision and what we actually achieve. Without action, dreams are just beautiful images in our minds, and goals are merely items on a list.

Color Cue Challenge: Reminding Yourself to Breathe, Relax, and Take Care of Yourself
Most of us know that taking a few deep breaths is good for us. But do we remember to relax and breathe on a regular basis? Not always.
Today’s world is a busy one. There is so much to think about, so much to do, so much to keep up with… and most of us can barely stay on top of our to-do lists, let alone remember to relax and breathe deeply throughout the day!
So today, I’ve got an easy, simple challenge for you. It’s called the Color Cue Challenge.
The goal of this challenge is to help you create a cue for yourself, so that you can more easily remember to take those moments to breathe, relax, and do things that nourish you (like Tapping!) as you go about your day.
The Color Cue Challenge: How it Works
Here’s how to do the Color Cue Challenge:
1. Choose a color. It can be any color of the rainbow that feels right for you.
2. Commit to taking a deep breath every time you see that color today. So if you choose red, for example, throughout your day you might see a red stoplight, a red stop sign, a red child’s ball, a red book cover, or a red mug. When your eyes land on that color red, it will cue you to take a deep breath in and out.
Simple as that! Every time you see that color today, you are going to take a deep breath. The color you choose will serve as a trigger for you to take a brief moment to relax amidst your busy day.
Beyond Breathing: Using Color Cues for All Sorts of Self-Care
I love using the Color Cue Challenge for breathing.
But this technique can actually be used for anything, not just taking deep breaths! You could also use a color cue to remind yourself to repeat positive affirmations, to slow down and check in with your body, to stretch, to unclench your jaw or relax your shoulders, or even to do some Tapping!
Experiment with this color cue challenge for any sort of small, daily self-care practice that you want to make more space for in your life.

If you want to try out this challenge today, then I encourage you to pick a color right now, and imagine it in your mind. Think about the practice you want to associate with that color.
Now, look around you to find something of that color in your surroundings.
And start right now. As your eyes focus on the color you’ve chosen, do the thing – whether that be breathing, Tapping, repeating an affirmation, or even just simply unclenching your jaw.
There you go! You’ve already done it! Great job.
As you continue about your day, repeat this process as often as possible. Whenever your eyes fall on that color, take a deep breath or do a mini self-care practice.
It will only take a few seconds at a time, but the results will add up throughout the day!

How to Get Over a Fear of Flying: EFT Tapping for Flight Anxiety
Do you get anxious and overwhelmed anytime you have to set foot in an airport? Does your heart pound at the mere thought of boarding a plane? Do you grip the armrests the entire time you are on a flight?
If so, you’re not alone!
Fear of flying (also known as aviophobia or aerophobia), affects a significant number of people worldwide. According to The Washington Post, about 40% of us are scared of flying to some degree, and about 2.5% actually experience a flying phobia.
But what if I told you there’s a research-backed technique that could help you conquer this fear once and for all?

When we experience a fear or phobia, like aerophobia, our fight-or-flight stress response gets activated. Our bodies think we are in real danger, and so they switch on that fight-or-flight stress response in an effort to keep us safe. This can happen even though we might be in a reasonably safe situation.
Way back in our ancestor’s days, this fight-or-flight response helped us stay safe in the face of very real dangers – like being chased by a saber-toothed tiger. But these days, we can go into fight-or-flight when we aren’t actually in immediate danger.
People with flight anxiety experience that kind of heightened stress response when flying in an airplane, or even when just thinking about flying or seeing an airplane in the sky. They may get physical sensations of anxiety when thinking about air travel, such as:
increased heart ratesweaty palmsshakinessshortness of breathAnd more.In severe cases of extreme fear of flying, people might even experience intense anxiety and panic attacks.
With something like a severe fear of flying, the brain and body truly think we are in danger, and so they respond as if it were a life-or-death situation.
Where does fear of flying come from?
Fear of planes, flying, and air travel can stem from different things for different people.
For some it might be related to a fear of heights, and for others it might be related to a fear of being in confined spaces. Others may experience anxiety when flying because they feel out of control, because they don’t know what will happen, or because they are worried about potential dangers or worst-case-scenarios.
Many people develop their fear after experiencing a traumatic event related to flying, or after being exposed to airline disasters in the news. Others might have grown up around parents that were afraid of flying. Whatever the reason, the brain and body have learned to trigger that fight-or-flight response anytime they encounter a plane or try to fly.
Whatever the root is for you, and whatever your personal triggers, I want you to know one thing: you can overcome fear of flying. You can release your anxiety, fear, or even phobia about flying… even if that possibility seems far out of grasp right now.
And you can do it with the help of a simple technique called EFT Tapping.
What is EFT Tapping?
Tapping, also known as Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), combines the principles of modern psychology and traditional Chinese medicine. The technique involves tapping with your fingertips on specific points on the body while focusing on the issue you want to resolve – such as a fear of flying. The Tapping points correspond to endpoints of meridians, the same points used in practices like acupuncture and acupressure.
When you tap on these points, you send calming signals to the amygdala. The amygdala is the part of the brain that controls your stress response (the fight-or-flight response). The latest research shows that by Tapping on these points, it can actually reduce levels of the stress hormone cortisol.[1]

Tapping for fears and phobias: an origin story
Since its inception, EFT Tapping has been used to treat a wide range of conditions, from insomnia to chronic pain to daily stress.
But did you know that Tapping was actually first discovered when a therapist was working with a patient with a severe phobia?
Back in the 1980s, a therapist named Roger Callahan was working with a client with a severe phobia – a fear of water. Nothing he tried seemed to help her. In a moment of inspiration (and possibly desperation), he had his client tap on meridian endpoints while she thought about water.
And after just a few minutes, her water phobia was completely GONE. And it was gone for good. She went from being unable to even be around water in any form (baths and showers were terrifying) to being able to head to the beach the very next day. Amazing, right?
Tapping worked very effectively then, and it continues to work to this day, with fears and phobias of all varieties.
I’ve personally worked with people time and time again who have found immediate and lasting relief from phobias (including fear of flying!) after trying Tapping.
Just check out this powerful story of transformation that occurred with my friend Meggan, who struggled with a debilitating fear of flying for years after a traumatic flight in her past. Even I was amazed by what happened after just one Tapping session!
Why Tapping works for fears and phobias
EFT Tapping is a really powerful tool for helping us release stress, reduce anxiety, and even overcome extreme phobias – like fear of flying.
When we use the Tapping technique for something like a fear or phobia, we think about, visualize, or speak about what we are afraid of while also Tapping on acupoints on the body.
This process sends calming signals to the brain, letting it know that we are not in any real danger and that we can relax and let go. Ultimately, Tapping tells our body that we are, indeed, safe.
By doing the Tapping, we help to rewire the brain, so it no longer goes into that fight-or-flight response when we are exposed to whatever triggers our fear.
While we tap, we literally calm down our brains and our bodies, so they can feel relaxed and at ease even when we are looking at an airplane, walking into an airport, boarding a plane, taking off for a flight, encountering turbulence while flying, and so on.

It’s not just hearsay – it’s evidence based!
Tapping really works for things like fears and phobias.
But don’t just take our word for it. Numerous studies, including those published in prestigious journals like the Journal of Clinical Psychology, have shown EFT Tapping’s effectiveness in reducing anxiety and fear.
For example, a 2022 study looked at the effect of Tapping on people who were scared of flying. The participants practiced the Tapping technique while they were exposed to fear-inducing stimuli related to flying.
And the result was amazing. Fear of flying scores went down almost 50% after Tapping. Before they tried Tapping, almost 90% of the participants met the official criteria for a flying phobia. But after they Tapped, only 24% did.[2]
And that’s just one of the many research studies showing how effective Tapping is for overcoming fears.
I share these stories and this research with you because I find it SO inspiring. I know that conquering a fear of flying is possible with the help of Tapping.
And I believe that freedom is possible for you, too!

Unlock Your Inner Strength: 10 Affirmations to Boost Self-Worth 💪
The word self-worth gets thrown around a lot these days. But why is it so important?
When we have a strong sense of self-worth, we know our value and we know our worth – no matter what other people say or do.
This helps us to feel strong, resilient, and capable, even when we face challenges. A strong sense of self-worth helps us to approach new situations with confidence – not confidence that we’ll do things perfectly, but confidence that we have the ability to figure things out as we go and bounce back from any setback.

Tapping Through The Day: How to Use Tapping at Different Times of Day
From morning motivation to bedtime tranquility, Tapping can help you navigate every moment of your day with ease, clarity, and peace.
There are seriously so many possible ways to use Tapping in your life – and you can use it any hour of the day! So whether you’re new to Tapping or are already a fan, I’ve put together a guide to help you incorporate this powerful technique into your daily routine in different ways.
Read on to find some of my favorite Tapping meditations for morning, midday, afternoon, evening, and bedtime (plus, even some for the middle of the night!
).
Tapping is such a wonderful habit to kickstart the day with! It can help you let go of any lingering stress and start the day off on the right foot, connecting you with motivation, inspiration, energy, gratitude, and other positive experiences.
You have the power to create the day you want – so use Tapping to set your intentions and have a great day!

As midday arrives, stress, challenges, and frustrations can begin to pile up and weigh us down.

I don’t know about you, but sometimes as the afternoon draws on and I near the end of the workday, I can find myself a little worn out from the day and in an afternoon slump.
