Life, Love, and Existance while experiencing: “Desolation along with Desperation.”

And she writes:

I am who I was,

I always have been.

I live a life that is torn wickedly within.

It’s great to be back once in a while,

It is a mental challenge as if one is taking upon a marathon mile.

I enjoy spending the time with,

I understand that each moment we have is a gift.

I give to you the moment within,

Often in life we can once again begin but there is no win-win.

Unconditional Love: Wikkipedia

Unconditional love most often presents itself with no words. It is spoken from the heart and the actions which one portrays. True Love at it’s best! The real question is, “How will it be perceived?” Only time will tell.

Love, B.B.

Feelings: Faith & Believing

She lives, She breathes

She drops to her knees.

He lives, He sees

Grasping one’s personal inner strength to keep faith and believe.

Poetry: Family, Love, Life and Choices.

I know the feeling when you feel like: I am dying inside as I close my eyes but when morning wakes I am willing to start over with brand new stakes. Taking one breath, inhale and exhale because often it is forgotten that we are living beings while keeping true to our heart with unconditional giving’s.  By keeping the center of faith and learning to give one way or another we shall live and learn how to accept and  to forgive.    B.B.

Life: Reality

Life:  Life as we know it can change within seconds by the placement of a Kinship child into CPS.  Our life can change within the blink of one’s eye as does a child’s future when they lose their parents by the uncontrollable placement.  For the kinship there is no one to talk to because of the legal system and there is no one to share the experience to understand the matter at hand.  It can be lonely.  It is unfair to all parties but what matters most is for the child to grow up in a healthy environment.  Sometimes we have to let go of our own children for the healthiness of the kinship child.  We have a new family member.  Welcome Alexis 10 months old as of last Thursday.    B.B

Barbara Bloom: Fun Rhyming Children’s Books

Reading
Interview with Barbara Bloom, talented author of children’s books
Posted on June 27, 2013 by kathyree

My guest today has several children’s books in her writing portfolio.  The poems are cute, the pictures are colorful and attractive to little ones, and her love for young children really shines in what she has written.  I enjoyed reading them, and I am sure parents of little people would find that their kids will enjoy them too.

So nice to have you here today, Barbara.  Thanks for taking the time to answer my questions.  And here we go:

What influenced you to write your books?

I developed the passion for writing poetry in elementary school and continued to write for my friends and family thereafter.  I love to express feelings through words that create emotion and stimulate the imagination.  I have always had a humorous side, and am not afraid to show it.

One day a deep thought hit me.  After raising four children and adopting two grandchildren, I felt that it was time for me to make a move forward in my own life and share my craft with others.  I had written a poem called “Your Shoes My Shoes.”  This turned out to be my first book in June 2012.

BBloom1

That was really cute–and rather unique.  Little ones would love seeing all the different kids of shoes.  Helps with learning words, too.

Do you have a favorite character or theme?

My favorite theme in writing is using rhyming words and creating a simple flow while carrying out a twist of rhythm throughout the story.

Little kids love when things rhyme.  I think it’s one of the best ways to learn.  They pick up on poems much faster, I think, because it’s more of a game for them.

Do you have any other books in progress, or that you plan to write?

Yes I do have several stories in progress and a few of the books are near completion.

Great!  I hope to hear about it when they come out!

Which is your favorite book?

Picking my favorite book is really a hard choice for me.  Each book that I have written has a very different story line.  I love all five books the same for a different reason.  I asked my family to take a vote using this question and the votes were evenly split between; “Your Shoes My Shoes” and “Dig The Digger.”

BBloom2

This one was where friends learn to help each other–nice lesson for young ones.  I can see how it would be difficult to choose just one book.  I can’t do it either–but some folks can.  So I had to ask.  :-)

What kinds of books do you like to read?

This is a fun question because rhyming picture books always put a smile on my face and I am reading constantly to my children ages three and six.  We love Dr. Seuss; Mo Willems and Shel Silverstein.  On occasion when I have time by myself I like to read southern stories by Mary Kay Andrews.

It’s fun to read to kids, because I think we all like to escape back into a simpler time, when an adult read to us from books like those–sometimes the very same dog-eared, much-loved-upon editions we carried around as children ourselves.

What do you like to do outside of writing?

I enjoy spending time with my family and going shopping for new shoes. The adventuresome side of me likes the thrill of amusement park rides.  Summertime is my favorite season of the year.  I love having fun in the sun, whether that be taking a swim in a clear Florida ocean, or simply entertaining at our home with family and friends coming over for a dive in the pool and some BBQ.

I’ll be right over…

You were in the Navy.  I’d like to take this opportunity to thank you for your time in service.

Thank you.  It was a great learning experience and an honor to serve our country.

And with that, our time together, so short, is at an end.  I hope our readers will comment or ask questions.  And please, do visit Barbara on her social pages, and get these cute stories for your own little people.

Barbara–anything else you want to add?

I would like to say thank you for taking the time for this interview Kathy Ree.   I appreciate everything that you do for others.  I would also like to thank everyone that takes the time to read my interview and I would love to stay in touch.  I want my friends and fans to know that I love each and every one of you.

You are one of the kindest souls I have ever had the privilege to meet.

Sleep: What is sleep? Insomnia

Sleep

Sleep is something that I have been lacking for about a year.  Thinking back in time who knew our teenage years would be the best sleep that we would get in our lifetime.  I also remember when I was pregnant and the peaceful sleep during pregnancy.  I definitely know what sleep is and taking naps are wonderful but a nap is not what I am pertaining to when I use the word sleep deprived.  For example it is 3:22 a.m. and I am blogging to you while my family is sleeping.  A thought just popped into my head. This is the perfect time to blog about the word sleep because if you are reading this why are you not sleeping.  This phase of my life could be related to pre MP and/or it could also be related to a lack of mommy me time while raising young children.  On the note of MP there should be a hip word for menopause because I think the technical term  is very unappealing.  Now if you are a guy and just said oh boy this isn’t something I want to read.  Well I want to inform you of a secret it happens to the best of us and this may include loved ones in your life-like your wife and/or a friend.  I have heard many terrible things about MP that I would rather not know but the fact is it is a normal part of life.  Can you imagine having to go through something and the only way to find out about your symptoms is to research it on the internet, talk to your doctor and/or read a book.  Yes in modern medicine you can go to a doctor and take a test to find out but the true fact is that I don’t really want to know for sure.  It’s funny when I talk to my friends and they tell me that they think they have the same symptoms as I do while we laugh off our own self diagnosis.  Anyway back to the topic of sleep deprived.  I can even feel my eyes moving under my eyelids as I sleep.  While sleeping many thoughts are racing around inside my brain and the light switch won’t turn off.  It can be painful for those that have sleep problems because when we wake up our eyes can feel very tired and often as time goes by headaches start to appear especially in the morning and/or in the middle of the night.  I have decided to take a new outlook on my problem called insomnia.  It’s easy to give into a problem but I am one that like’s to take on life’s challenges.  My mindset right now is that sleep must be for the weak because it has been more than a week since I have really had good sleep.  Thanks for taking the time to read about a moment in my life.  When I run across things that help me I will be sure to share.  Sharing my positive outlook.  Goodnight.  Love, B.B.

Today Is A Gift: Creating Simple Positive Change

ImagineI want to start by saying:  ”Good Afternoon.”

About Simple Change

When you woke up this morning did you think about today as a gift?  If you did great for you and I am so proud of you because you can help me.  For those that woke up on the opposite side of the bed I want you to know that it is easy to make positive changes in your life simply by training yourself to think about each and every day as a gift.  It is very important to remember that one minute we are here and the next second we could be gone and I am not talking about hypothetically.  It is very easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of life while we work through our daily routine. I feel lucky to be here and have the opportunity to say hello.  Make sure that you tell your loved ones that you love them and offer a big hug.  What are your plans for the upcoming weekend?

Have a fantastic Friday and stay positive.  Sends my love,  B.B.

Family Friends Near And Far: Loving With An Open Heart

Family

Working towards blogging again:   My life normally runs at full speed on a daily basis in my home and it is very easy for a person to bottle up inside and decide not to share reality with others.  I am hoping you can also relate to this scenario.  I’m looking forward to changing my thought process because this actually feels so great to talk to you and share.  Writing and blogging can be such a great therapy to one’s soul.  I know this is a fact because I have used it before.  Expressing one’s self can be a big stress reliever simply by getting your thoughts and feelings out into the open air.  We are all human beings with a heart and soul.  Our differences only stem in the form of experience.  Life can have many ups and downs with joys, sorrow and triumphs.  I strive to be non judgmental and display unconditional love to my family, friends and even distant strangers.   This makes my heart happy.

A blurb in my life at the time:   I am enjoying the summer sunshine and I love that both of my children are home spending time with me over summer break from school.  My newest adventure has been that my elder daughter age twenty-two moved back in our home with us in March with her six month old baby.  Now two children ages three and six are running around the house and one six month old is learning to crawl while pulling himself on his knees.   I enjoy seeing smiles and hearing the laughter throughout the home twenty-four hours a day all seven days a week.  I could live without the sibling rivalry of course which is natural.   I am teaching the children how important it is to share and  the values of being thankful over summer break.  Yesterday my twenty-two year old daughter stated to me that both of us were like Betty Crocker’s in the kitchen because something is always cooking in the kitchen area of our home.  I do love the fact that there is never a dull moment in my home.  Cheers until next time!  B.B.
