La Bufala di Higuain e i finanziamenti alla ricerca: perché anche gli scienziati ci cascano?

Gira su Facebook un meme secondo cuitutto il finanziamento alla ricerca italiana nel 2015 varrebbe quanto il costo di acquisto di Higuain da parte della Juve: meno di 95 milioni di euro.

L’affermazione che il memecontiene è ridicola per chiunque abbia unaremota familiarità con le politiche della ricerca, e direi anche con l’aritmetica.

Basta guardare le cifre OECD sul finanziamento pubblico alla ricerca per vedere che nel 2014 il governo italiano ha stanziato 8.450,4 milioni alla ricerca. Po...

Università e meritocrazia: vogliamo parlarne seriamente?

smetto-quando-voglio-manifesto3-672x315Le polemiche sulla ricerca in Italia sono tutte uguali. Perchè non si riesce ad affrontare seriamente il tema della gestione della ricerca? E siamo sicuri che nell’accademia italiana esista davvero un dibattito sulla meritocrazia?

Sono bastate poche righe scritte su Facebook da una scienziata Italiana esule in Olanda per trasformare la propaganda social del ministro Gianniniin un epic fail.

Di quale invenzione dovremmo pentirci?

C’è unatecnologia dovremmo disimparare se potessimo? Se me lo chiedete – ma potrei anche pentirmi della risposta-metterei al primo postogli smartwatch e l’immobilizer dell’auto, che recentemente mi si è ritorto contro bloccandomi. Comunque questa domanda me l’ha fatta seriamente Monica Panetto per un articolo su Bo.La risposta vi stupirà. O forse no. Buona lettura.
