But Wait, There’s More
Just Ink Press have me doing All The Things this week. Which is understandable since Enslaved releases TOMORROW. Yeah, you read that right. I’m kinda freaking out.
Yesterday JIP interviewed Deryck, a rather crabby incubus and main character in Enslaved. Today they’re interviewing little ol’ me.
So head over and give it a peek. Just . . . don’t drink anything while reading. I’ve already been yelled at once for making someone snort water onto their keyboard.

Enslaved News!
My wonderful publisher, Just Ink Press, scrambled over the last few weeks to make Enslaved shiny and perfect for you guys. We’re nearly ready to publish, like within the week if things cooperate.
In the meantime, JIP posted an interview with Deryck, one of the main characters in Enslaved. AND as a bonus, they unveiled the cover art!! Seriously, even if Deryck doesn’t win you over with his interview, the cover is worth clicking over to read.
So what are you waiting for? Head over to Just Ink Pre...

Blindsided by the Walking Dead
A few months ago my good friend and fellow Zombie Survival Crew commander Juliette Terzieff emailed me, flailing and telling me to watch that night’s episode of Talking Dead. Thinking she’d lost her ever-loving mind (again) I tuned in…
and forgot how to think for a moment.
Live on air, IronE Singleton announced he was working on an autobiography with Juliette. Of course, I did what any good friend would do–happy-squeaked and told her she was indeed insane for taking on something so big.
After we...

In Defense of Writers
Even before I was dropped on my head and decided, “Let’s make a living vomiting words on a page.” I noticed there was something inherently wrong with the relationship between authors and a significant number of their readers. At some point in time, readers have become convinced authors are capable of pulling a full written, edited, and formatted book out of their ass one month after releasing another book.
Newsflash: It doesn’t happen like that at all.
Most writers will only be able to produce...

Of Course I Have a Bible
Though is isn’t a bible from any recognized world religion…
Last week I gave you guys a peek into how I wrote Enslaved using an outline system I created to work with my writing style and work ethic. I couldn’t have written anything beyond the first three chapters without one key part of my process: The Book Bible.
My Book Bibles are compilations of information I’ll need throughout the writing process. It is separate from the outline because most of the information isn’t part of the ongoing plot...

How The Hell Do You Do That?
Since I’ve finished work on draft one of my new novel, Enslaved, I decided to tackle a question I’ve gotten a lot since divulging my little writing secret–the outline.
How the hell do you outline and not go insane?
I will admit, when I first realized the universe for Enslaved was too big for me to wing it on the plot, terror seized my heart and I wanted to curl up in bed with my stuffed cows until some mystical being from above dipped a finger into my brainpan and fixed the problem. Unfortunate...

The Window
I’ve been too damn busy the last few weeks. So busy, I haven’t had time to devote to something as simple as my Sons of Anarchy reviews. As an apology, here is a flash fiction story I wrote. This came to me as a dream–one that lingered the entire day until I wrote it down.
There wasn’t a grand view outside the windows of my home office. When I began to work for myself, I dreamed of the day when I could buy a home of my own solely based on the landscape on the other side of the glass. Instead, I...

Undead Uncensored – Cover Reveal
We’ve been working very hard in the Zombie Survival Crew command center to finish everything for our next anthology. And now the time has come to reveal what we’ve got planned.
Take it away, Juliette!
From the mobile unit of ZSC Commander-in-Chief Juliette Terzieff:
After months of anticipation the day has finally come when we can release the cover art for Undead Uncensored, the second Zombie Survival Crew anthology. This year’s anthology is a vibrant collection of short fiction, poetry and non-...

Dangerous Bedfellows
Getting into business with Damon Pope is kinda like stripping nude, popping a couple Viagra, and jumping into a pit of vipers. Eventually one of the snakes won’t like the way you look at them and bite your dick off. (Shut up, I know this is a flawed simile. Just go with it.) If Jax is seriously going to further their professional relationship, the MC is going to pay some how, some way. Apparently Opie’s death wasn’t enough. When the hell will Jax get back on the path his father laid out for h...
