Is That a Zombie in Your Pocket…

. . . or are you just holding onto memories of a great Halloween?

Well, if you have an eReader, and are fans of gritty urban fantasy dripping with zombie guts, you could have a zombie in your pocket. It’d have to be an awfully big pocket, though.

What the hell am I babbling about? Fellow Just Ink Press author, Leona Bushman released her zombie book, Mayhem in Mexico: Zombie Infestation yesterday. I had the joy of editing this book–my first BIG editing project. Meep! Below is a little taste of S...

Demons of Oblivion Tour

Happy Halloween, everyone! As a special treat, I’ve got fellow writer Skyla Dawn Cameron on the blog today discussing heroes and villains. For a bonus goodie, you can grab a copy of her book Bloodlines for FREE until November 1st. The other ebooks in the series are half price right now, as well (Hunter, Lineage, andExhumed). I, personally, love these books. That’s an understatement. Zara Lain is my spirit animal. Just don’t tell her.

Wacky Waving Inflatable Arm Flailing Tube Man

Which is essentially how I’ve felt for the last two weeks while juggling the day job and haunt job.

Just a few quick notes for readers . . .

The Walking Dead started again this week. My reviews can be found via the Zombie Survival Crew’s website.

At the beginning of the month, I was asked to participate in a Zomcast forChimichanga Talk. It was way too much fun imparting a little of the massive amounts of survival info I’ve gathered over the last 3 years with the ZSC.

In November, I will hopefully...

Madness Reigns

As some of you noticed, I never got around to reviewing Sons of Anarchy last week. Shit happened and I didn’t get to watch the episode until the afternoon before the newest episode. One sentence review of that episode – I hope they have a lot of body bags. Seriously, though, I was stunned with the way things went, thought for sure Toric would suffer a slightly different fate. I’m fully okay with the way that part of the story arc went.

Now for this week . . .

Jax is losing grip of his gavel. Th...

The Gay Mafia

I will preface the following post by saying, this is my opinion of something I’ve seen happening in the gay community–based on behavior I’ve experienced first hand. While I would like to believe this is an isolated thing, I know it isn’t. And I wish it were. All this talk of unity, standing up for each other to ensure the LGBT community is treated fairly and with respect . . . well, maybe it should start from within. You can’t put catty bitches at the head of the charge and expect the world t...

Haunted Places

Today officially kicks off the beginning of my Halloween season. As I’ve done since 2009, I will be hanging out in Sanger, CA at Hobb’s Gove. Hobb’s has been a tradition in the Central Valley since 1999–one I was always too afraid to venture into as a youth. During my one visit, The Hollows (Haunted Forest) terrified me so much, I couldn’t fathom going through the Bad Manor (Haunted House) or the Shadow’s Keep (Haunted Hayride). Heck, even working there I still get chills down my spine when w...

They’re Lurking

When I turned my back, thinking it’d be safe to leave my vampires unsupervised, they broke out of their daytime slumber and made a beeline for Missy Jane’s blog.

Better catch up before they finish eating…

Violent and Very Disturbing

Fucking A, this series won’t let you get a good breath before you’re eyeball deep in shit and drowning again. The fallout from the school shooting is hanging over everyone’s head. The guilt eats at them in different ways–some of them have ways to cope, others are left to improvise. There’s never an end to the number of people taking pop shots at SAMCRO and their associates. How long until we’re saying goodbye to another of the boys?

And then there’s Mr. Former U.S. Marshall, Lee Toric. Oh how...

My publisher and I have been hard at work getting In Too Deepready to unleash on the world this Friday, September 27th. To wet your whistle, here’s a peek at the book’s cover and a little bit about Meghan and Jarlan.

For six months, she’s been living in Central California under the name Clara Osbourne—and not by choice. The Cold War is over; however, she’s still tasked with infiltrating a potential cell of Russian sympathizers, possibly ex-KGB operatives. The C...
