No Review

Sorry, guys. No True Blood review this week. Honestly, I just couldn’t think of another way to describe how the show is about 95% worse than season one and about to undo any good footage it has ever aired if they use sex with Sookie one more time to fix the Big Bad Problem of the episode. This has by far been the most frustrating show demise ever.

I’ll be back to it next week. In the meantime, I’ve been watching Arrow and throughly enjoying letting my inner geek go, “Oh my God, and that’s so-a...

Pet Peeves

I’ll preface this post by saying, it will piss people off. It may make some of you cry. Hell, other will be terrified because it’ll force them to *gasp* think before they speak. Feel free to call me a bitch, or any other nasty words you can think up (and spell correctly, please).

Peeve #1 – Passive aggressive asshats.

It starts with a sigh. Then a shift in their seat, followed quickly by another sigh. In five minutes, if the passive prat’s not given what they want, they’ll say, “That’s okay. I...

A Decent Effort

Spoiler warning up front. I should just call these “rum warnings” considering the nights I drink and watch tend to yield the most spoilers. And usage of the word “fuck.”

I hate when the writers make me look like a bitch. Last week I ranted at some length about neither Eric or Bill sensing Sookie through the blood bond. So what is the first god damned thing in this episode? Bill sensing Sookie’s distress as ghost papa is drowning her pretty blonde ass. Okay, fine. You got one over on me, writer...

Too Many Beans

Earlier this week I decided, at random, to make a batch of non-fat refried beans. From scratch. I made a metric ton of refried beans, guys. The finished product could’ve easily fed at least fifteen people, maybe more.

And I did it on purpose. Not because I have a borderline psychotic love for refried beans. But you see, I have end-of-book-brain. What the hell is that? Pull up a chair, I’ll explain.

Every author has a moment where they hit a stride with their book. It is a rare, gleaming moment...

Oops They Screwed Up Again

It is hard to take anything seriously on True Blood when the continuity between episodes and the series as a whole is thrown out the window willy-nilly to fit whatever idiotic story lines the drug-addled brains of the current writing team have thought up. I saw several people who watched the Eastern airing (I watch Pacific) saying that this week’s episode of True Blood was a lot better than the rest of the season. Apparently “better” is a relative term. It is “better” if you’re willing to for...

“At Last” is Right!

Yada, yada, yada. Spoiler warning! Blah, blah, blah.

Blow me.

I’m getting tired of True Blood. Honestly. Truly. Tired of the writers doing jack shit to fix the mess they’ve created with all of their ridiculous TV tropes. This show has jumped the shark so many times, the shark has had time to count the pubes on True Blood’s snatch–two thousand, cut into a very neat little V.

So we finally, after a season and a half of agonizing of this stupid fucking character, have a face for Warlow. Whoop-dee-f...

For the Fans

A few weeks ago, I was asked by my wonderful publisher to provide some extra content from Enslaved for my readers. So I took the ghost of a chapter idea I had, but didn’t use in the book and flushed it out into a short for Just Ink Press‘ site.

Warning: If you haven’t read Enslaved, the outtake chapter is chalk-full of spoilers. This scene fits between the final chapters of the novel.

Enjoy “The Birth”. I had far too much fun writing it for you guys.

Can We Have More Jessica, Please?

I’m not quite sure what was actually accomplished on this episode of True Blood. There were a lot of lead-ins for larger plot points, but none of them were seen through. It is early in the season. There won’t be a lot of resolutions…normally. However, they left so many dangling threads at the end of last season, something should be tying up so the characters can move on. Instead they’re all stuck in an emotional rut. We’re getting more emotion from the rug in Sookie’s living room.

Andy as a pa...

Plot? What Plot? True Blood Needs No Plot!

For the sake of my sanity, and because the gods only know what’ll come flying out of my half-drunk fingertips, this is your spoiler warning. Turn back now if you haven’t watched the second episode of this season of True Blood.

Ready for this shit? Good, neither am I. Deep breath, grab your bottle of rum, and let’s dive into the rubbish.

First things first, I’m pretty much just going to ignore the God damned Billith story line arc from now on. In so many TV shows and movies, we’ve been force-fed...
