Gavin Newsom Tries to Gaslight the Public – Suggests Inflation is a Conservative Lie | The Gateway Pundit
California Governor Gavin Newsom wants the public to believe that inflation isn’t that bad, and that the only reason people believe that it is, is because of conservatives.
Millions of Americans are struggling to afford basic items like food and gas but the narrative is more important to Newsom.
He should know by now that you can’t lie to people about how much money they have or how much things cost.
Townhall reports:
Newsom Suggests Inflation Is a Conservative Lie
To make Republicans look bad, Democrats have to lie, while to make the Democrats look bad, all Republicans have to do is point out the obvious and the truth.
Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-CA.) is suggesting that inflation— fueled by President Joe Biden’s Leftist policies— is a lie pushed by conservatives.
This week, Newsom claimed inflation plaguing Americans this holiday season is propaganda and nothing more than a fabrication being pushed by Republicans.
“Things you won’t see on Fox News today,” Newsom posted on social media. “Prices for Thanksgiving are down — from Turkey to air travel.”
The Democrat’s post included a chart showing price changes in items. According to data from the Labor Department, prices for peas, milk, stuffing, pie crusts, turkey, and cranberries have dropped from last year.
See the tweet below:

Newsom got roasted in the replies:

You cleaned up California for a communist dictator and not the people that live there.
You should be embarrassed to show your face in public.

Newsom is trying to spin the economy because Democrats are getting absolutely clobbered on the issue. No one is buying his lies, though. People know the score.

Waste of the Day: Texas School District Tried To Take Senior’s Home For Parking | The Gateway Pundit
This story originally was published by Real Clear Wire
By Adam Andrzejewski
Real Clear Wire
In the name of building a parking lot, the Aldine Independent School District in Harris County, Texas tried to intimidate a 79-year-old man into selling his home, which his family has owned since 1916.
The school district is spending $50 million to redevelop its high school football stadium, which has parking lots on three sides of the one-acre property where Travis Upchurch’s house sits, Reason Magazine reported. The district has been trying to acquire Upchurch’s property to expand the parking.
When Upchurch indicated that he didn’t want to sell his property, the school district hired a third party to send a letter that the district would seize the property using eminent domain if he didn’t agree to a voluntary sale.
Tara Upchurch, Travis’ daughter, said the idea of forcing her father to relocate was terrifying. The family made repeated efforts to work out a deal with the district that would allow the senior citizen to live out his remaining years in the home, but the district seemed set on taking the property as soon as possible, Reason reported.
Then, all of a sudden, the district changed course, saying the property wasn’t necessary for the stadium project and that the district had been concerned about the liability issues of having someone live so close to its construction projects.
Finally, the school board voted to stop efforts to acquire the property.
While Tara Upchurch says that she’s grateful, she doesn’t trust that the school district won’t take up the eminent domain efforts again after the election.
“We don’t put anything past Aldine right now. We are nervous,” she told Reason.
Eminent domain shouldn’t be used to bully old men into leaving their house so that a high school stadium could have a larger parking lot.

Extended emergency SOS access for iPhone 14 users
Apple has extended the complimentary usage period for Emergency SOS satellite capabilities for iPhone 14 users. Initially, customers received a two-year free period upon activating their devices, set to expire next year. Now, Apple has decided to extend the Emergency SOS satellite service by an additional year, giving iPhone 14 users a total of three years of free access. This move aims to offer customers peace of mind and continued support, enabling them to use these critical safety features without additional costs.
This change means iPhone 14 and 15 users will have free periods ending around September 2025. The prolonged free access allows users ample time to experience the benefits and convenience of the service before deciding on its future subscription.
Apple has not yet disclosed the pricing for the Emergency SOS service after the extended free period. The company is expected to announce the official cost details closer to the end of the extended grace period. This strategic move allows Apple to assess the market, gauge the success of its products, and make well-informed decisions based on data-driven insights. By deferring cost decisions, Apple can ensure its investments are appropriately allocated and maximize profit potential.
The extended free access period does not currently apply to iPhone 15 customers, who will continue to receive two years of free service ending in September 2024. However, after said date, the company plans to align its policies for all devices, meaning a change in the service plan for iPhone 14 and 15 users. IPhone 15 customers must stay updated with announcements regarding future policy modifications to avoid any unexpected charges.
Users can also update their location within the Find My app using the satellite signal provided by the Emergency SOS service. This integrated functionality adds another layer of security for iPhone users, allowing them to stay connected and share their whereabouts with trusted contacts, even in remote areas.
Roadside assistance on iPhone 15With the launch of iPhone 15, Apple expanded the Emergency SOS functions to include roadside assistance contact options for users facing car breakdowns. This additional feature enables users to connect with nearby towing and repair services, ensuring prompt assistance when stranded or experiencing vehicle issues. By integrating the Find My app with Emergency SOS functions, Apple demonstrates its commitment to providing comprehensive safety solutions for its users, further solidifying its position as a leader in the smartphone market.

The latest AirPods are now a bargain Christmas present
Apple’s newest pair of AirPods are now under £150 on Amazon, making them an even more appealing pair of wireless earbuds.
The much-refined third generation of AirPods has seen a neat £20 discount, making them a very good choice for a Christmas present – now available for £149.
Apple’s ever-popular wireless earbuds range has seen a lot of improvements since its inception in 2016, and this newest third generation is definitely the best yet, sporting a more ergonomic design and much improved sound quality.
Apple’s third generation of AirPods has a rare discount on Amazon
Save £20 on a new pair of AirPods gen 3 when you buy a pair over on Amazon today.
AmazonWas £169Now £149Apple has taken a leaf out of their AirPods Pro range’s book for the design of the third gen, with short stems, a more robust-looking case and additional resistance to damp, making them even better for wet weather and the gym. In our review, we found them comfortable enough for sessions as long as the battery life, which is another big improvement.
The other big area where Apple has advanced is in the sound quality, with the bass especially seeing a big upgrade. It also supports Dolby Atmos spatial audio in apps which make use of it. One drawback is that it doesn’t have Active Noise Cancellation as in the Pro model, but besides that the overall sound experience is very good indeed.
The best feature about AirPods if you use an iPhone or Mac is that they are very well integrated with each other, boasting connectivity other earbud brands can only dream of, with your devices actively seeking out connection the second you flip open the case. There’s also Audio Share, which allows you to connect two pairs of AirPods to a single device for shared listening experiences.
All in all, if you or someone you know is an iPhone user in need of some new earbuds, these are an absolutely perfect pickup with this deal. Make sure to grab your pair while the sale lasts.

Best Bralettes For Small, Medium, Big Boobs & Plus Size
For those with bigger busts, there are supportive bralette options out there, it’s just a case of knowing what to look for. First up, a longline bralette like the Unlined Lace Crop Bralette from Torrid is brilliant. It not only doubles up as a cute, lace crop top but that extra material on the bottom offers lots of support, as does the high back. Likewise the Raised Lace Fuller Cup Bra from Lemonade Dolls — it has concealed double-layer mesh panels so, while it looks elegant and delicate, with the statement lace overlay taking all the attention, its in reality extra supportive; held up with double-width straps and a wide elasticated under-boob band.
