“By Christ, is there slash fiction!? You spend an idle afternoon, you find out … and the artwork! Oh my god. I get sent things that would make your hair turn white. It’s not just holding hands on a park bench, I can tell you that. Some of them are incredibly graphic and also extremely well-drawn, but my goodness. I’ve not tried half the things they’re doing”

- Mark Gatiss in DNA magazine  (via nixxie-fic)

Haha! Appalled!Mark Gatiss is the best Mark Gatiss!

Hey folks!

Sorry to have been a bit slow on the writing front this week! It’s been crazy hectic. We have a choral festival on at the cathedral where I’m choirmaster, though we have a guest conductor in, so I’ve been on soloist duty instead. I had rehearsal all day Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, a wine and cheese Tuesday night, a concert Thursday at noon, a big dinner Thursday night, then I launched my new CD (again, different city!) last night, then today was the big orchestra dress rehearsal for the big final concert tomorrow, and I had to go to a wine and cheese at the American consulate. Tomorrow morning is church as usual, but with all the extra singers, then a concert in the afternoon (in which I’m solo-ing again), and then a big final dinner. So - it’s been good stuff, but busy!

However, the porn-to-romance is underway nonetheless, just shy of 6,000 words at this point. I suspect it’s going to turn out longer than I meant for it to. (She said for the fifty-first time…)

:)

That was indeed one of the very best moments ever on The Daily Show!

Sherlock is actually attempting to be charming to Sarah when he first meets her, he does the smile and everything, like we joke a lot about him being jealous of her but he is actually quite nice to her in the majority of direct interactions with her

This is exactly what he does to Mary, by the way. He is nice to her. He tries to be friendly. Because he knows John is not now and will never be his and he can only be friends with John.

With Jeanette in ASIB, Sherlock is just in a more vulnerable place, much closer to John, having to face his emotions as forced by Irene, reading clues that look like maybe John could be interested? feeling down that John isn’t interested, and generally just having a harder time with the whole spectrum of their relationship as shifting back and forth between friends and more than friends with Irene in the way.

CIRCULAR.

Ugh, yes, this resonates perfectly. Totally. God, I love Sherlock.

This would be numerous levels of horrifying.

Hahahahahahahahahahaha!

Somehow this seems rather fitting for Benedict…

Benedict is so thin in s1 that it is at times incredibly alarming. he’s like Disney princess thin. a man of his proportions should never be that thin. actually he’s starting to look that thin again with Hamlet and I am prepping my heart for breaking if he’s going to be that thin in s4.

After Hamlet there will be Doctor Strange filming then Season 4 filming. And I’m expecting Kahn proportions for Doctor Strange. So expect the TEH build for s4 e1.

See this is definitely what I expected…but in the stage door photos I’ve been seeing he looks like he’s floating toward the opposite end of the scale. Is this just my interpretation that people don’t agree with?

Don’t forget, Ben has an incredibly fast metabolism and is naturally on the skinny side. He said he had to work SO HARD to bulk up for Khan because he’s just not that build, naturally. He’s also said that as a child he was underweight, not because he didn’t eat enough but because he was just so hyper and energetic that he burned through it really quickly. It’s just his body type. Don’t worry. Also, his muscles are doing just FINE - seen those legs or biceps recently??? :) And yeah - I would imagine he’d bulk up for Dr Strange, too, so don’t you worry. :)

Interesting to note two people who specifically aren’t moved by the speech: David - note the top gif, where he’s just staring at Sherlock - and Mary, who looks amused and then looks at David, touching her finger to her nose, a gesture that usually signifies agreement or confirmation of someone else’s statement. CURIOUS.
