5,500 followers!
Whoa! I just noticed that I seem to have over 5,500 followers now! Yay! That’s a lot of people! Thanks for following me!
Hmm, it’s been so long since I hit a milestone of followers that I’m trying to remember what I usually say at this point… just a couple of things:
I follow everyone back. I just check to see that it’s a real blog (not a p*rn bot) and if it seems like a real person on the other end, I follow back - with the rider that if the blog ends up posting too much stuff that I’m not interested in without using tags so that my xkit can filter that out, then I might end up unfollowing again. That said, if I unfollow you and you’re sad, please just say and I’ll fix it!
My fics are here on ao3. There are I post, at the request of other folk here, very short updates on the progress of the story I’m currently working on. I post it with the tag “writer stuff”, so if you don’t want to see those very short posts, you can filter them out. :) For the record, my current fic is at 28,700 words or so, and still has a ways to go. I’m about to go and put in some work on it.
I also have a patreon over here, which I don’t advertise often. I only mention it because there is an incredibly amazing, kind breed of person here in fandom-land who actively want to support creators that they know, and sometimes in the past people have actually gotten upset with me because they didn’t know I had one. Now you know! :P You absolutely should not feel obligated to become a patron of mine, but it’s there if you’re one of those incredible folk who feel that urge. The way it’s set up is for monthly donations, but if you’re a one-time-donation sort of person, I also have PayPal, via silentauror@yahoo.com.
If you ever have a question, please feel free to ask! I don’t take anon asks due to previous high abuse of the function (death threats and whatnot), but I can promise a thoughtful answer to any respectfully asked question! And I adore getting into long discussions in comments on my stories and will always answer your comments there, too.

Gymbro fail of the day
This is a real exchange that happened to me today at my building’s tiny (shitty) gym:
Me: *is lifting free weights with headphones on at the weight bench*
Dudebro: *interrupts me, mid-set, by standing in front of the bench and waving at me until I pay attention to him*
Me: *puts down weights, takes off one ear bud, figuring he wants to know how much longer I’ll need the bench or something* Yeah?
Dudebro: You know, you’d be a lot hotter if you were using smaller weights.
Me: *stares at him in genuine disbelief.* (Does he mean in terms of… core body temperature, because the opposite is generally true. He really means that I’m lifting too much weight and that he finds this off-putting???) *Ponders many, many responses within that same five seconds* Your opinion is irrelevant.
Dudebro: *immediately mad, opens mouth*
Me: Don’t talk to me. *puts ear bud back in, resumes lifting*
Like… I know that many men are gross, but… SERIOUSLY?????????? A guy thought it was both okay to interrupt my workout in the first place, but then it was to criticize me for being too strong???? Is his penis really THAT small???????
Reblogging just to say that I love all of your responses, haha! Also: later, from the elliptical, I was watching him lift and he was using the 20-lb weights. I had been using the 40-lb weights. DUDE. Do you really want to be that antagonistic to a woman who can outlift you by double the amount you’re lifting?? Honestly, this is just begging evolution to stage a hasty intervention…
