Isosceles sequel update!!
Huge news!!!!! I’ve finally finished my sequel to Isosceles!!!!!!!!! Pending edits, of course, but I should be able to post it within a couple of days, I would think! I can’t wait to share this story with you all! It’s about 27,000 words right now! :))))))

and just so you all know:
they don’t mean, like. future gender-affirming care.
they mean that all minors in the state of tennessee receiving gender-affirming care now have a deadline on their detransition.
Also, the “drag ban” is worse than it sounds. It’s vague.
The law redefines the illegal-in-public “adult cabaret performance” to include “male or female impersonators who provide entertainment that appeals to a prurient interest (…) regardless of whether or not performed for consideration.” “Public” is defined as anywhere one “could be viewed by a person who is not an adult.”
Who’s to say what counts as “prurient,” especially if that explicitly doesn’t have to be your intention? If a trans girl joins a karaoke club at her college and a cop arrests her for it, can she prove she didn’t violate this law? It can be used to imprison any trans person being too visible.
To be clear, this is absolutely intentional in its vagueness. The above is absolutely not a bug, it’s an intentional benefit in their mind. They can use and abuse this law to criminalize being trans in public, and that is part of the point.
If cis LGBs are not awake and aware to the fact that this is all just pushing the Overton Window, they need to be. Iowa Republicans filed a bill to make marriage equality illegal if and when Obergefell is struck down.
Is it going to go anywhere right now? No, no it will not. But a few years ago, bills like the above didn’t go anywhere, either.
Wake the fuck up. They are coming for all of us, and I’m getting tired of saying it.
Unfriendly reminder that the vast majority of gay men who were arrested for having sex in the privacy in their own homes prior to the Supreme Court striking down anti-sodomy laws in 2002 are STILL listed on the sex offender registry.
Canadian and queer here. The same disease is here and coming for us, too. It’s just slightly quieter so far. We are indeed all in this together. I’m angry and disgusted and I don’t even know what to do about it from here. If you’re in the US and of the community, I hope you’re safe. It’s no good just telling you to “be safe”; that’s all any of us wants: to be safe and accepted as we are. If you’re not safe, I hope you know what local resources exist for you. If you ever just need a safe ear, mine are here for you. My blog is a safe space and I am a safe person, or try my hardest to be, anyway. 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️❤️

Whoa!!! I just spotted that my story Between Friends just...
Whoa!!! I just spotted that my story Between Friends just reached 40,000 hits!!!! This is only the 10th of my 90 current fics to have made it to this massive milestone! This is the story I wrote after the saddest story I’ve ever written (The Final Proof) and was intended to be just a light piece of smut, but then went and got all angsty on me, lol. It all works out in the end, though! Thanks to anyone and everyone who gave it one of those 40,000 hits, even more so if you liked it! :)))))
