Omg yay!! Instead of doing another self-repost, this story of mine just reached 30,000 hits! It’s my little tradition to celebrate these 10,000 hit milestones just to say thank you to everyone who’s ever read the story in question, so here we go: thank you!! This story is the first one I wrote after series 4 came out. Unlike after series 3, where my first big post-series 3 fix-it (Deductions of a Lesser Mind) was posted within 24 hours of His Last Vow airing, series 4 was harder for me to digest and consequently this story, A Case for Domestic Propinquity, took more like a week. With each successive fix-it, I’ve tackled a specific issue. This story mostly just aims to fix the issue of Sherlock and John not being together and has a gander at life at 221B with a baby. The story I wrote after this (Hell Hath No Fury) delves into the Holmes family history, how utterly fake I found Mary’s death scene, Mycroft’s role in Sherlock’s childhood, etc. The one after that, which I just featured recently in the self-repost series (From the Bottom of the Well) tackles the straightwashing aspect. But this story is just a good, old-fashioned romance - less prickly/difficult than some of the fix-its I’ve written since, too! This story is the 17th of my 86 currently-posted stories to achieve 30,000 hits, so this is pretty exciting to me! If you’ve read this story and liked it, thank you. Sending you all hugs!

They just had every opportunity here. Every single one. And yet.

Fic’s at 14,500 words and on a roll! There’s a LOT of anger in the section I’m working on right now and I could keep going, but it’s giving me an ulcer, lol. Time for a bath instead. More tomorrow! :)
