Mews and Nips: A Wedding With Lots of Tortitude

dilute-tortoiseshell-cat-wedding

There have been plenty of reports of dogs being part of wedding celebrations, but cats usually aren’t all that thrilled with these sorts of festivities. This apparently was not the case for Coco, a beautiful dilute tortie, who bride Danielle Hunger described as “”viciously beautiful and beloved” (tortitude, anyone?) in the Huffington Post. After the ceremony, which took place in the couple’s home, photographer Luciana Justice noticed the beautiful cat, and asked whether Coco could be in some...

Giveaway: PawNosh Glass Pet Bowl

glass-cat-bowls

PawNosh glass pet bowls look more like a piece of art than a utilitarian food or water bowl. These gorgeous bowls are made from 100% recycled glass. Using recycled glass helps keep renewable resources out of landfills, and reduces energy usage by 20-30% compared to creating a bowl using raw materials. More importantly, glass is the safest material you can use for food and water because it is naturally free of harmful chemicals that can sometimes be found in plastics, metals, and ceramic. Eac...

Prince Pangur Ban the Fluffy: The Collected Series

Prince-Pangur-Ban

I first “met” Prince Pangur Ban two years ago, when Holly contacted me because he had been having issues with a sensitive tummy and some itchiness. In the course of our initial conversation, I found out that Pangur is not only a stunningly handsome and much loved Himalayan, he is also the star of his own comic strip.

From 2011 to 2015, Holly shared Pangur’s life with her wonderful, silly puff of fluff on her webcomic page, and now, she is collecting all of the strips for a full color paperba...

Allegra, Ruby and the Secret Birthday Post

birthday-cats

Hi everyone, it’s Allegra and Ruby! Mom had one of her super smart posts about some super important topic scheduled for today, but we snuck out of the bedroom once she was fast asleep last night, and rescheduled it for next week. At first we were going to delete it, but then we realized that maybe Mom would get mad at us if we did that….

Allegra: Ruby, you know better than that. Mom never gets mad at us.

Ruby: She does at me!

Allegra: That’s because you can be a royal little pain…

Ruby: Blo...

Mews and Nips: At Disneyland, Cats Keep Mickey Mouse Company

disneyland-cats

In a theme park inspired by a mouse, cats have the run of the place. Even though a Disney spokesperson declined to comment on the resort’s feline inhabitants except to acknowledge that they exist, the LA Times reports that the theme park has been known to care for the cats, who reciprocate by keeping the property free of mice and rodents (sparing Mickey, of course!) Freelance writer Taylor Roberts started a Twitter account Cats of Disneyland. Each tweet imagines what the cats who live at the...
