How to Tell Your Cat I Love You
I bet we all tell our cats we love them a thousand times a day. We tell them with words, we tell them with touch, and we tell them by taking care of them and keeping them happy and safe.
Allegra doesn’t like to be picked up, so I tell her I love her by kissing her nose (she kisses back!) and by gently petting her for short periods of time. Ruby, on the other hand, loves to be held, so I can snuggle her to my heart’s content, and she reciprocates by rubbing her face against mine.

Hospice for Cats
In the past, euthanasia was often the only option for cats with terminal illnesses. Today, hospice or palliative care is a very real alternative.
Hospice involves providing supportive care to cats in the final stages of their lives so that when the time comes, they can pass naturally and peacefully. The primary goal is to keep the cat comfortable and free of pain, with a focus on quality of life.
Palliative care should not be considered a last resort. It is not about dying, but rather, about...

Conscious Cat Sunday: Lessons from the Super Bowl
We’re not huge football fans here, although Ruby has been talking about wanting to join the Carolina Panthers. She says she would make a great wide receiver: after all, she’s fast, and she’s great at catching flying objects! Since I’m always looking for the lessons in everything, I spent a little time reflecting on what lessons we might find on Super Bowl Sunday.
On th...
