Conservative writer attacks MSNBC host (and child) in one of the most mean-spirited pieces you will ever read

Screen Shot 2013-04-09 At 10.17.19 Am

American Thinker writer Jeannie DeAngelis is presumably fine with any of the countless occasions where social conservatives use children to foster their cause, be it in ads (see countless anti–marriage equality spots), public appearances (see the current Boy Scouts campaigning), or rhetoric (see the constant "protect the children" talking points). But when a progressive parent proudly raises her child to respect all marriages, Ms. DeAngelis has no problem subjecting said progressive to attack...

You guys, Ryan Anderson has an 'obligation' to take away our marriage rights; be respectful of his burden

The only reason why the matter of equal marriage rights is up for a debate is because certain citizens have decided it is their (largely faith-motivated) duty to stand in the way of what is the obviously right and fair thing to do. But leave it to the practitioners of the pro-discrimination movement to turn their chosen role into the victimized position:

“Everyone I know who is working on this issue would rather be doing something else,” said Ryan Anderson, who co-authored the book What

Tim Johnson Official Portrait, 2009A press statement emailed to G-A-Y:

SENATOR JOHNSON SUPPORTS MARRIAGE EQUALITY

Washington, DC- U.S. Senator Tim Johnson today announced that he has decided to support marriage equality legislation. Johnson's statement is below.

"After lengthy consideration, my views have evolved sufficiently to support marriage equality legislation. This position doesn't require any religious denomination to alter any of its tenets; it simply forbids government from discrimination regarding who can marry whom."

Video: NOM 'March For Marriage' attendees says gays are 'mixed up,' 'legalizing licentiousness,' don't have 'normal' 'lifestyles'

Dan Joseph works for the conservative Media Research Center but identifies as a social libertarian. Here he is giving you a taste of the harsh tone that I personally experienced at the National Organization For Marriage's recent marriage march:

(*video shot at the NOM march)

So weird—NOM's press department keeps telling us their event was a loving day that was just about "protecting marriage." Supporters seemed to have missed that memo.

News from NOM World: Down is up, discriminators are victims, 50+ yr marriage decline is gay people's fault

Check out this obtuse chart and claim coupling that NOM is currently pushing on its Facebook page:

Wow, we really did some damage between 1960 and 1990! Must have been the fault of all of those gays who were marrying in NowheresVille, Fictionchussets.

Stay tuned for NOM's next Facebook post, where I hear they plan to blame gays for further aging our parents with every passing year of our lives.

Ed Peters (father of NOM's Thomas Peters) says pro-gay Catholics can't take communion

The son is the Communications Director for the National Organization For Marriage. The father is doing this:

Edward Peters, a Detroit professor and legal adviser to the Vatican, and the archbishop of Detroit, Allen Vigneron (pictured), are telling Catholics who support same-sex marriage that they are not welcome to take communion, the Detroit Free Press reports

So on this one, you're just plain wrong, Matt Barber. We gays love our Normas. It's Ida who we loathe. Duh.
