NOM exploits MSNBC host's sweet moment with her kid, calls it 'cringe-inducing'
I already showed you that truly nasty attack that conservative writer Jeannie DeAngelis waged against Krystal Ball simply because the MSNBC host talked to her kid about marriage equality. Now look who is getting in on the smear campaign, calling Krystal's chat with five-year-old Ella "cringe-inducing":
This coming from an organization that has created multiple political ads with children advocating for discrimination that they are far too young to understand (and will...
On night of national mourning, NOM posted (then deleted) this tweet
Last night, NOM posted a link to this SEVEN YEAR OLD isolated incident. NOM then deleted it, but not before the screen cappers caught 'em:
(*thanks to Scott Wooledge for the screen cap. *UPDATE: Scott tells me he got it from J.M.G. reader Steve)
Gee, whatever could have been their intention?

NOM's resident gay-against-gay-marriage says marriage equality is like Prohibition; I need a drink
Down is up. Left is right. Extending the freedom of civil marriage to same-sex couples is like banning gin.
Thus goes the latest bout of "logic" from the increasingly "HUH?!"-inducing "protect marriage" movement:
"Just as the Prohibition movement advanced too far, leading to repeal, so too will the same-sex marriage cabal’s efforts be recognized as a tyrannical assault on freedom and a rejection of natural law and reason.
Some may ask, “Prohibition was repealed because it limited the rights of A...
What does this even mean?

Of course we all know how Tony shows his "love." If his rhetoric accurately defines his version of love, then yes, Tony—you certainly "love" me more than I "love" myself.

Video: Gays not discriminated against because straight marriages protect us all (*like the police)
And now Frank Turek—a man who, we should note is on record calling homosexuality “destructive,” “evil,” “dangerous," and "changeable"—will now "explain" why it's not discrimination to legally detach me from my husband. Spoiler alert: It's because straight people's marriages are powerful enough to protect us all:
(*clip should be cued to right place; if not, start it at 7:45).
Ahh, yes. Everything's a-okay and perfectly fair because the majority gets to participate. That logic has never failed b...
MN For Marriage recruits Glenn 'homosexuality is particularly evil lie of Satan' Stanton
The team trying to stop equality in Minnesota—which, by the way, is essentially the same team that failed to win at the polls last November—is currently on a road trip around the state. Their star speaker? Glenn Stanton, the Focus on the Family employee who wrote that now-infamous quote about homosexuality being a "particularly evil lie of Satan" that "overthrows the very image of the Trinitarian God in creation."

ADF reminds North Carolinians of the theocratic ban that violates civil freedoms
This month, the magazine of the anti-LGBT Alliance Defending Freedom is running a profile of the team that ultimately tarnished the North Carolina constitution with civil discrimination with one of the most faith-based campaigns to ever reach any state. The piece, noxiously titled "The Good Fight," largely focuses on Tami Fitzgerald and Patrick Wooden, two North Carolinians who have made it clear that their agenda is both wholly religious and driven by personal rejection of homosexuality itse...
Canadian Human Rights Commission deals setback to NOM spokesman
For the past two years, folks who still work for his former employer have told me that Damian Goddard was fired from his job as a Canadian sportscaster for various, well-documented reasons that go beyond his public stance against marriage equality. Judging by this tweet that the National Org. For Marriage spokesman just sent out (Goddard works for NOM's "Marriage Anti-Defamation Alliance"), the Canadian Human Rights Commission agreed with the employer:
(h/t: Joe.My.God.)
Not really sure what th...

One Dem in U.S. Senate openly opposes marriage equality; 'BIPARTISANSHIP!' exclaims head of GOP special interest group
Brian Brown, the Republican president of the decidedly rightwing National Organization For Marriage and the head of the unabashedly GOP ActRight operation, is pretending that the lone Senate Democrat who has come out against marriage equality (Sen. Manchin has yet to say anything; Sen. Landrieu only supports it on a personal level) is indicative of strong Democratic support:
"We commend Senator Pryor for standing tall for marriage as the union of one man and one woman and for resisting politic...
