John Stemberger's obvious game: turning all pushes for nondiscrimination into 'promotion'
It's John Stemberger's way to suggest that LGBT people are seeking more than just basic inclusion, instead making it sound as if our mere existences constitute some sort of "promotion" of some supposed "agenda." For instance, when opposing a basic nondiscrimination ordinance in his home state of Florida, Stemberger said of LGBT equality proponents:
"These are not just people who have a same sex attraction and want to be left alone to freely define themselves. This is a radical group of politi...

Delaware House Committee advances marriage bill
It's just a first step, but it's a nice one. By a 4-1 vote, the House Administration Committee just advanced the marriage equality bill (HB475) to the full House.
While it's early, this does put Delaware in the running with Illinois, Rhode Island, and Minnesota in the reasonable running for our tenth marriage state (plus DC). And you know what they say about numbers greater than: once you go double-digits, you'll never go back.
Okay, so no one says that. But we won't go back. Just trust me (and...
GLAAD: To an Anti-Equality Commentator on the Eve of a Wedding
A picture that pretty much defines NOM hubris
Ever since their traction-less "March for Marriage," the National Organization has been trying to sell the lie that "over 10,000 marched for marriage" by showing the following photo:
A cluster of people. That's indicative of NOM support—right?
Wrong. Here is the same picture with my own annotation:
The folks between the lines are genuinely with NOM. The people on the right and left? Most of them are D.C. locals and tourists going to work, grabbing a bite, and going about their days. Many of them...
NOM EXPOSED: NOM's Roback Morse repeats claim that homosexuality is a choice
New zeal for New Zealand: Island nation gets marriage equality
Marriage equality is now in sixteen countries on five continents:
New Zealand Passes Marriage for Same-Sex Couples [Freedom To Marry]
New Zealand is generically talked about as one of the lands down under. But when it comes to the mounting history's right side, the books will remember it as one that went up above before most others.
Congrats, Kiwis.

About that bride on Minnesota For Marriage's bus...
The anti-equality Minnesota For Marriage is currently trekking around the North Star State in a big ol' bus. The bus looks like this:
[SOURCE]
Funny thing is, I've actually chatted with the bride half of this stock photo couple. Back when the National Organization For Marriage was using her image, I reached out to the model bride (initials I.B.), at which point she made it clear that her views go far beyond just the issue of marriage. In fact, she thinks people like me are facing "spiritual dea...
Pat Buchanan teases a coming Christian-on-gay war
Negligence passing as commentary:
"What happens if the gay rights movement, as it appears it may, succeeds politically on same-sex marriage, but many Christians refuse to recognize such unions and continue to declare that American society has become ungodly and immoral?
...
Priests and pastors marched for civil rights. Others preached for civil rights. But if the gay rights agenda is imposed, we could have priests and pastors preaching not acceptance but principled rejection.
Prelates could be de...
Scott Lively associates swastika with gays who seek nondiscrimination
A man who continues to damage his socially conservative movement, Scott Lively, is currently running the following alert regarding the Washington state florist (Arlene's Flowers) that wishes to discriminate on the basis of sexual orientation. Gay customers are like Nazis, natch:
[SOURCE]
It's always—always, every time, in every instance—ill-advised to use a swastika to attack your political opponents. But to do so when talking about a scene in which a minority population was clearly denied a se...
