Who says these two drawings are shtupping, FRC guy?

This is truly one of the most bizarre arguments against marriage equality I've ever come across. After running down his side's recent losses on marriage, Family Research Council Senior Fellow Bob Morrison writes:

Images-16But take heart, friends, even E.T. knows the truth about mankind. Back in 1972, NASA launched Pioneer 10. This spacecraft was sent to the farthest reaches of the Solar System and beyond. It boldly went where no man has gone before. It bore a message, an indelible truth about humanity....

Americans' View on the Issues [NY Times]

The federal versus state question is no surprise, considering current concerns about federal overreaches (a view that's supported by the Times' coupled reporting). In fact, I would suggest that most of the people who prefer "leaving it to the states" are more concerned about the federal government taking something away than they are concerned about some sweeping enforcement.

The big takeaway here is that our majority is solid...

And now conservative outlets are literally telling readers to 'wage war' on us. Happy Pride!!

Joe Jervis just tipped me to this, which is currently running on conservative America's very popular WorldNetDaily:

Screen Shot 2013-06-06 At 3.16.26 PmWhere are the champions of Christ to save the nation from the pagan onslaught imposing homosexual marriage, homosexual scouts, 60 million babies done to death by abortion and red ink as far as the eye can see on America? Who will wage war for the Soul of America and trust the living God to deliver the pagan gods into our hands and restore America to her Judeo-Christian heritage a...

Why don't you show what Rep. Blumenauer actually said, NOM?

NOM, the National Review, and a host of conservatives have posted the same video:

They are all pushing this 2:07 clip, claiming NOM chairman John Eastman "ripped" eight-term congressman Earl Blumenauer (D-OR3). The clip plays as follows, complete with movement-affirming applause from the partisan audience filled, as it was, with Tea party supporters:

The thing is, when one posts a video of a figure purporting to "rip" or "fire back" at someone for his supposedly "scurrilous" statements, one usu...

Video: AFA's Bryan Fischer says to kick women, gays out of armed forces

God doesn't want women in the military. Thus goes the latest rant from the American Family Association's Bryan Fischer. Allow him to mansplain for you:

As of press time, this American Family Association spokesman is still fine with white, heterosexual, Christian, conservative men who think exactly like he does enjoying all of the rights and privileges of a society of his own making. I'll let you know if this myopia changes.

NOM is a religious group, example #5,667,832

"Stop Playing Church" is a religious Facebook page that routinely posts anti-gay condemnations:

"Stop Playing Church" is also the creator of NOM's latest social media meme:

Ironically, "Stop Playing Church" is actually good advice for a political action group that has positioned itself as the suitable counterpoint in this national debate on *CIVIL* marriage equality. Somehow I think that will be lost on NOM and its followers.

Oh, and no, I'm sorry, but...

Eleven-year-old *does* say 'gay'; wins major victory

MarcelI was a eleven-year-old Marcel Neergaard. At least I would have been, had I had as much courage back when I was a young gay boy growing up in Tennessee.

Any way, this thrills me:

Today, the non-profit student advocacy organization StudentsFirst issued a statement denouncing the actions of Tennessee Rep. John Ragan for his co-sponsorship of the state's notorious "Don't Say Gay" bill, which stated that teachers should not be able to talk about any type of sexuality that isn't, "related to natural...
